Had two pizzas from here, the thin and the extra thin crust. Gotta say, the crust was way too soggy. I believe this was because there was an inordinate amount of cheese on the pizzas, so the crust did NOT firm up nice. We also thought they went a little bit heavy on the oregano. For my money, Papa's in Woodridge is still the King of thin crust pizza. Too bad, I was hoping Uncle Pete's could compete with them...but not. read more

A group of us ordered pizza from here for work... not my favorite pizza, but defintely not terrible. I believe we had a couple of coupons and we got two huge pizzas for around $30? Not too shabby. I really, really enjoyed their pepperoni, but their plain cheese pizza was just too much. As others have said, they put a lot of cheese on their pies, so watch out. I highly recommend getting pizza with some toppings to level out the playing field. Sauce is really good as well, not too sweet. Got the Uncle Pete's Special, which comes with sausage, green peppers, onions, garlic and cheese, and wow it was LOADED with Cheese. The pizza is very hearty and flavorful, and this place is open pretty late compared to other local pizza joints. However, I am still completely blown away by how much cheese there is on this pizza. 4.5 A little carryout place inbetween the cleaners and an abandoned Blockbuster's. Got a small thin crust with bacon for $10.95. Inside looked like the place has been here for a while and had several framed 8.5x11 pictures of various film stars which gave the place some character. Guy there seemed pretty nice. Sauce had an obvious sweet basil taste if that's your thing. I really liked the crust, which wasn't too thin or thick and had a pleasant crispy-chewiness if that makes any sense. Chicago is famous for their deep dish, and thankfully you can find some great pizza in the suburbs as well! Uncle Pete's is open until 11PM on weekdays (nearby stores were all closed by 10PM) and delivered to our hotel nearby. The pizza ended up taking about 20 minutes longer than promised, which was pretty unfortunate, but it tasted fantastic! This pizza joint is just for pick-up and delivery, so call ahead to order because standing around for 45 minutes while the deep dish cooks just doesn't sound like any fun to me. The slice wasn't fresh at all, it was in a plastic tub in the fridge already in slices...aka yesterday's pizza. A work friend swore by " Pete's " but I was skeptical for years ... I grew up in South Jersey, I know pizza . But picking up some dry cleaning next door and on a quest for lunch for my dear wife , I brought two slices ( sausage ) . It blew us away ! I mean it is Midwest ... thin crust ... not the swarthy Jersey pies with bubbling dough edges from my teen dating days . But ... wow , was it good ! Best Cheese, Toppings and Crust. Sauce, I never notice it specifically as I start eating it, but thinking on it, they don't use too much, and add just enough. The cheese though, like melted string cheese doesn't reheat if there's left overs into that gelatinous plastic as normally occurs. I have ordered the same thing 3 times, a Large with Pineapple, Mushroom and Sausage, much to the pleasant surprise of friends this last weekend, the combination was welcomed. We live just barely within delivery range so in order to save money, I've been picking it up the last two times verses the first night when they delivered and we put a large tip for their fast service and kind consideration since it was close to closing time.. I feel with trying to lose weight, Pizza is a special cheat meal, and takes a great deal of discipline and consideration. This is the food I recommend if you're allowing yourself to, or just don't care and love pizza. Let me start of by saying that I LOVE the taste of the pizza, but the customer service I just received was atrocious! I work at a hotel in the area that they deliver to, and when a guest orders a pizza, they bring a coupon with to the front desk that we can trade in for a free small pizza once we collect enough. The delivery driver who dropped off my pizza was so rude! I had to pay the delivery fee, fine that is to be expected. Once it got to the payment and the tipping area, I selected 20% (.59 cents) which to him was not much, but to me, I am living pay check to pay check, living on my own and paying for school. And then he said "wow.. 59 cents that's it?" I simply replied with "It's 20%..." feeling guilty about not being able to do more and then he had the nerve to say "well god forbid if you ever worked in the service industry", and I replied politely with, "sir, I have, so I know". Thinking that the conversation was over, he replied with, "you should tip more considering most of these cards are from me [delivering]".. I apologized and said I don't normally work evenings. I feel awful about not being able to tip properly (should have been 20% of what the small pizza would have cost), but under no circumstances should a driver make someone feel bad about the amount that they are tipped. I had guests behind me which was completely embarrassing to me and I should not have to explain myself. He delivered the pizza at 8:05pm today and was an older gentleman. Because of this scenario, I will be passing this story down to my coworkers and not recommend this pizza place to any of my guests. It is a shame that we will not be ordering pizza from this place anymore because it was one of my favorites! Should I have not tipped him at all? I am not sure. I have only been ordering from Uncle Pete's for about a year now. When I find a good pizza place, I am very loyal. I love this place because the pizza is fantastic and its a great price. (I really love how the prices on the menu seem to include sales tax). I think the 4 cheese pizza is my favorite (if you are a fan of just cheese, you must try it!). Ive never tried anything but their thin/thick crusts, just because I m not really a stuffed/pan pizza person myself. I also like how they are very friendly, and are very interactive on their facebook, giving it that real "mom and pop" feeling. I wish you guys would do other foods, but I've worked in a pizza place myself and I know doing lots of different foods can be a hassle. Everybody knows, around these parts Naperville is where its at when it comes to finding good pizza. Pizza is a matter of preference. In this case not mine but some observations: If you're into cheese, they use 2-3 times what most pizzerias use. Ingredients are of good quality. Sausage is in clumps about 1/2 or more the size of a typical chicken nugget. Sauce could be more, overwhelmed by the cheese. read more

I have ordered a pizza here maybe twice, since they seem to be open a bit later than the average places in town. The crust was very thin like a cracker almost, the sauce had a bit of kick - zesty - and the vegetables appeared to be very fresh. I saw they served pizza by the slice, so I stopped here on my lunchbreak to grab a slice. $3.00 for a slice of pizza and .50 for a can of pop. Pricing was fine. I work in an office on Diehl and we were looking for a place that delivered here. I found Uncle Pete's on Yelp and since it had good reviews, we thought we would give it a try! WOW!! We ordered the 4 cheese pizza. They delivered it about 10 minutes earlier than requested (which was completely fine) and they took a coupon I printed of their website. The pizza was AMAZING. Most places don't do a true thin crust, but Uncle Pete's has it spot on. The cheese wasn't too salty and the sauce is slightly sweet and zesty...very delicious.
