The owner, staff and workers from US displayed knowledge of the roofing needs I had, professionalism in researching the correct solution, and presented a reasonably priced bid. On top of that, when I followed up with questions, they went out of their way to find the answer. I appreciate how they cleaned our gutters. However they quoted us $425 to fix a pipe collar. The parts for this cost less than $10. They tried to tell me they pay for "labor". I will not be a returning customer. I am highly disgusted by the price and dishonesty for a 10 min job ! Be careful! Also they were supposed to do the quote on the roof when they did the gutters. If I could give them zero stars -- or even negative stars -- I would! i thought I checked yelp before hiring these guys, but maybe the reviews weren't there yet... otherwise we would've NEVER hired these guys. First, we hired Uncle Skeeters to do our roof. The pitch was professional, they were friendly and we decided to go with them... BECAUSE we also needed some trim replaced and painted and they said they could do the entire job. The roof project was done quickly and as promised, we were happy with that. BUT! We hired them to essentially do two jobs and they really only completed one to our satisfaction. They admitted that they hired a new contractor they had never used before to do the painting and trim replacement. The paint guys would show up, and leave. Or not show up at all. I would call Uncle Skeeters and nobody would answer or return any messages we left. The painting was such a poor job, we were continually pointing out spots (huge) that they missed and ended up having to do some spots OURSELVES. When we complained to the representative he admitted they hadn't used them before and I would guess they obviously just did what they had to do to get us to hire them. The real kicker, they obviously had to remove the gutters to do the trim replacement and painting, but they told us they were NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO THE GUTTERS. WTH??? Why would WE be responsible for what THEY do? If they take the gutters off, they are responsible. We fought them on that and they relented. But then, after attaching the gutters when work was completed, we found that they repeated leaked when it rained. We asked them to return and seal it up and they CLAIMED they did (conveniently while both my husband and I were at work) and it still leaked. We took photos and videos of the leaks and kept calling and emailing. Uncle Skeeters stopped even returning our calls or emails. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. We have a contractor we've used in Waldorf before, and WE SHOULD'VE STAYED WITH HIM!! He would've never considered the job completed until there weren't any leaks. DO NOT USE UNCLE SKEETERS!!!! All I was asking for was an estimate on getting the chimney cap put back on the top of my chimney. I called on 11/5 and was told to email a picture to Yulie and that she would get back to me. I immediately did that but didn't hear back. I emailed her again on 11/8 and still never got a response. A couple of days later I called and was told that she would call me back. She didn't. I then inquired on the website about getting the job done, but no one contacted me. I finally called again on the 20th and emailed the photo to another person who said they would take care of it. Andrew, You may also want to check the date this company was actually accredited with the BBB. The BBB acts as an arbitrator. If a business is recently registered the A+ rating doesn't carry much weight. Many have a false perception of what a BBB rating is. I have used this company for several years. Just stopped my service as of today. Absolutely, would not recommend them. I am not the type of person who takes the time to write a review, but I felt compelled to do so this time. They are great at calling and calling and calling to schedule your gutter cleaning, but very poor on the quality of the work that they perform. The last time they came out to clean my gutters, my gutters were overflowing two days later. They say that they flush them, but obviously, that is not the case. When I called to complain, they assured me that a supervisor would come out to inspect my gutters and would then call me to discuss the matter. No one called; I have no idea if a supervisor ever came out, yet they have no problem hounding me for payment. This is not the first time that my gutters overflowed after they had come out to clean my gutters. If they cannot be trusted to perform something simple, like cleaning your gutters, I certainly would not trust them to perform a major job, like replacing your roof. VERY, VERY bad customer service!!!! Contacted this company for gutter cleaning and siding repair. I had to call their office at least 3 times to inquire a service date and a agreed upon service fee. After approx. 20 days of not hearing back from the office, (rain accuses) I gave up and begun another search for a more reliable customer friendly company. One day "out of the blue" their (Uncle Skeeters) workers showed up unannounced at my residence. Because I still needed my gutters cleaned and I was home, I allowed them to perform the work. I called their office immediately to inquire about the gutter repair and I was promised that I would be getting a confirmation phone call by the end of the day. (did not hear from anyone again) Two days pass and once again, the workers appeared at my residence without any prior notifications. I was very disturbed by this. No one was home and my siding is still not repaired. That was the last straw for me!!!! I spoke to everyone their (Uncle Skeeters) who has authority and all I get is; "we apologize"!! To be clear, it's not the work but the office I had issues with. The workers that responded cleared my gutters, did a great job and was very friendly and professional. No! You will regret having Uncle Skeeter do work at your home! They get one star for eventually showing up but it's downhill from there. He sent an HVAC guy to do an estimate...you can guess what happened. Work crew showed up, determined that none of the work on the estimate was needed. We agreed to have the eves cleaned out for $100 and the crew was out in less than one hour. Skeeter decided to shake us down for the gutter clean and the work that was never done, over $500! Skeeter has refused to discuss what happened, instead we get annoying phone calls about the bill. This guy is very dishonest. read more

I used this company for a gutter replacement. I was given the run around on pricing,scheduling and a completion date. I spoke with Tom multiple times about when my job would be finished and when i could expect the crew.I was told lie after lie and experienced nothing but disappointment. I finally got a hold of the owner who treated and talked to me like he was better than me and that i was bothering him though i was giving him business. The work was eventually completed but was poorly done and seemed to take longer than any of my neighbors mentioned. Uncle Skeeters replaced our gutters, they do not work right. The gutters leak between the roof and the gutter and we have broken brackets. We spoke with Tom and TJ many times, they say they will call back with answers and never call back. They set appointments they never show up for. This company sends contractors to clean gutters. The contractors stood on top of my trash can and my soda cooler to clean my gutters. On the same day and time the contractors were at my home, a package was delivered to my home and has never been found. I used Uncle Skeeters for a simple gutter cleaning recently. They did what they came to do: my downspouts were cleaned, and the gutters were cleaned as well. They had obviously cleaned the downspouts also. There were a few things, however that I think could have been done better; namely, in the front of my house where I have very dark colored mulch, rather than bag and remove what they pulled out of the gutter, it was just sloppily tossed on the mulch for me to clean up so my plant display does not continue to look sloppy. I also had to close the wiring box for my cable, and put wiring back in it, which clearly someone had bumped and left. Lastly, dealing with the lady to set up the appointment was very easy. She was very professional and personable. I only wish that I would have received a courtesy call the day before they came out to do the work. I had waited a week or so and did not hear from them, so I thought it would be some time before I got on the schedule. I came home from work one day, and the work was completed without my knowing that people would be at my home that day. These are the reasons I could not give 5 stars. But overall, they did clean the gutters and that is what I paid them to do. read more

The plus for this company is they will call to schedule your appointment and will call the following day to see if you were satisfied. Now the negative... They give you a followup call and then the next day call and tell you of your outstanding bill. To top this, they tell you to pay online only to find out this service is no longer available which means you have to put a check in mail (which is NOT going to be delivered the next day to them). Guess what? You get another call each day after that to say you have an outstanding bill and to pay online. (Groundhog Day all over again). If they are this pressed for money, maybe I better find someone else to clean my gutters. Have no issue paying my bill but at least give the check a chance to arrive before you hound me daily for payment. read more

My first and last experience with this company. I asked for siding repair and caulking. Informed by representative who came to house that siding would be reattached as best as possible, however, other than recaulking siding wasn't touched. Oh well live and learn. Was told $175 I paid for this was minimum service charge. Funny it wasn't explained that way at time of proposal. That was some expensive caulk material!!!! Ok so I called Unkle Skeeters to get a qoute on a new gutter and two new down spouts around back but of course they came out for that no problem. Then I paid the 400. for the deposit so 2 weeks go by im thinking when will they start the work welp they had not started anything. Then the following week they called me to let me know they will come out on Thursday . Thursday came it was 5 30 pm I sent a friend over to see if they were done welp they never came they got there at 7:30 pm and said its to dark and we dont have all we need to put them up we will be back tomorrow at 12 pm. So the next day while all of us are at work I ask my friend to keep a look out if they come to let us know. Welp they never came I called the company and I said give me a full refund I dont wont you all to do my gutters and I sent and email saying the same thing. Sat morning my family was sleep and they wake up because someone is banging. You all already know now Unkle Skeeters wants to drop by unannounced on a Sat morning and try to hurry and put up the gutter. The company called me and asked was I happy with the work I said maam they are at my house now stop them I want a full refund and I dont want Unkle Skeeters to do the work. This is what she said I will call them later I said they are at my house now then she called me later and said I will send the boss out to your house later to take pictures. OK come to find out they were no done. I called and left another email for a full refund and to not come back to my house do you know the following week they had to come back because they forgot to put up the new down spouts. Then once again they said we will send the boss out to take pictures. So now im getting calls from them for payment and emails for the payments. They suck because they know that if it was something in the house that needed to be done they would have cancelled. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! THIS IS A COMPANY THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO USE .... READ ON AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY. I've used Uncle Skeeters for the past couple of years twice per year. Well this past time they sent out someone new to clean out my gutters. This person didn't do a very good job so my son decided to take a look at the gutters after this guy left. My son said that their was still stuff in the gutters and that the guy barely did anything. So I called the company and they apologized and said that they would send out the guys who normally did my gutters and wouldn't charge me for it. I had to call back to find out when they were going to schedule the redo appt. They told me that it had not been rescheduled yet. All I kept getting was phone calls to pay my bill and nasty notices saying that they were going to send me to a collection agency. They never had the supervisor call me even though they said he would and I've requested that phone on several occasions. Never once did anyone call me about the appoint being reschedule or to discuss the problem. I then got another call about paying my bill and I said that I would pay for it once they came out and corrected the job that they didn't do right the first time. Then the representative said well they came out just last week and cleaned the gutter again. Funny because it rained that week and the gutter were overflowing. So I know that they had not been cleaned again. This company has either switched hands or hired some really untrustworthy people. If this is the kind of people that they have coming out to your house BEWARE. They lie and then the company stands by their liars and don't do a good job. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Cleaned my gutters and the screen was not attached properly or according to them, may have blown out of place due to the high winds we had since they cleaned the gutters. Want to charge $125 to put back properly which is the price of cleaning the gutter. I told them to lose my number. I will not be using them to clean my gutters again. What idiots!!!!! They came out early in the week after my call to look at the issue and could have placed the screen properly at that time but did not. Did they really think I was going to pay them $125 to make another trip to do what they should have done on the first trip they made to assess the problem. Now I will find someone else to do my gutters. They just lost a long term customer over their lack of common sense and poor customer service.
