None have ever been quite like Under Wraps, Pleasant Grove's first sushi restaurant. This place has small plates with tastes that really packed a punch. The Fried Cauliflower made me giggle the first time I tried it, it was so damn good. Chicken Karaage with their own spin on fry sauce was a hit with the group. All the sashimi was incredibly delicious. We tried multiple hand rolls and they were all different flavors and so tasty. Fresh is the first word that kept coming to mind with each dish tasted. Clean facility, dishes and perfectly frosted glasses for your beer. Satisfied my hunger, but didn't weigh me down. Atmosphere and decor was very laid back. I'm a sushi snob and think the Quality of fish here is exceptional. Way better than tsunami. Menu is mostly small plates of high caliber- it's not your average Americanized sushi restaurant that all have tons of rolls with too much rice and lots of sauce over imitation crab/spicy tuna. There's a giant screen behind the sushi bar that plays anime that gives a nice vibe. Place is pretty quiet. Servers could be more attentive, but they are nice. Went for the first time and was delighted by the fantastic food - tuna taco, shrimp tempura (what do they do to this batter?? Unreal. So good), California hand roll, and miso (more special than a typical sushi miso soup). Our group had cocktails as well, each were delicious but the Proper Pear stole the show. Decided to celebrate my birthday at Under Wraps after seeing lovely photos of their hand rolls. We had made a 6:30 reservation for a Saturday night about a week in advance since we weren't sure how busy it would be. When we arrived, it was dead. It was actually quite welcoming since we were able to sit wherever we'd like. The hostess/waitress/bartender was super nice and helped us determine what to order. For our first round, we ordered the albacore tuna sashimi, salmon puff hand roll, tuna hand roll, and scallop hand roll. Wow! The hand rolls were made with tasty, fresh fish. We ordered a second round of the salmon puff and scallop hand roll before feeling super full. In addition to the food, we each ordered a cocktail: lychee and peach. Fantastic! Docked a star because this place is pricey. We definitely ran a tab but we were satisfied with everything we ate. Looking forward to stopping by Under Wraps again soon. read more

Food is amazing, love the seared Sashimi options (pictured). I was going between 4 and 5 stars (really wish Yelp would do half stars). I decided on 5 as the service is also absolutely outstanding and the when sitting at the bar the chef even asked how I enjoyed everything. Note: this is the third time this has happened. It wasn't overly busy, but the fact that they take the time to ask demonstrates the level I've derive you receive here. It's a fun vibe that's very welcomed in that center. There really isn't that much (good) Asian food in Utah county. So when I visit my girlfriend in Lehi, I always leave thinking about good Asian food. During my most recent trip, I discovered Under Wraps and decided to have a date night there. We ordered the unagi hand rolls, salmon, both tunas, wagyu sashimi and hand rolls, the chicken karage ( fried chicken ). Everything, I REPEAT, everything was delicious and a repeat except one thing. There were two tuna dishes, one is called the five spice I believe and it comes with crunchy spices and peanuts, this one is the delicious one. The other tuna is just tuna with sauce rubbed on it and it was just OK. So just stay away from that one tuna dish and you're guaranteed to have an amazing meal here. read more

Closest thing I've had to katsu curry since living in Japan. The sushi is made right in front of you and delicious. The gyoza were my favorite but giving this a 4 star rating because they won't let you buy more than one serving of gyoza (only comes with 4) so a bit disappointing. Fun decor and vibe. We loved the big bar/counter area to sit at. Service started out great, very helpful with menu and suggestions. We ordered the miso soup & gyoza as starters. The miso was fine, it pretty much tastes the same no matter where you go. But the gyoza was to die for. It was the star of the show. We would come back just for that. Great flavor and perfect amount of searing on the sides. Yum. Then we ordered 3 hand rolls: tuna, tempura shrimp, and a kind of California roll. We should mention that we've never had hand rolls before so it was a new concept to us. Not sure if this is a traditional way to eat sushi but we were not fans. They were just not flavorful. Out of the 3, the shrimp one was our fav. Then we ended with the yakisoba. Up until the hand rolls were delivered, service was attentive and food was coming out nicely spaced. Then we waited 30 min for the yakisoba. No word from our server during that time to let us know what was going on. We kept trying to grab their attention as they walked by with no luck. Just as we were about to walk over and ask for the check and just cancel the yakisoba - it arrived. With no explanation of why it took so long. By then the rest of our food had settled and we weren't even that hungry. It was good but not great. We took a couple bites each and left. We were hoping this would be our new sushi spot but it fell flat. The only thing we'd come back for is the gyoza. read more
