Uni was fine - not much drawing me back to the restaurant other than its ambiance. We ordered the uni spoon, tuna with foie gras, tuna belly, wagyu beef tartare, and wagyu beef dumplings. I will say, the food was presented very nicely and I especially enjoyed the tuna with foie gras. Other than that, I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied with how much I paid for. I used to love UNI for its delicate & unique tastes and beautiful servings. However, after my recent experience dining there, I am truly disappointed with its lower standard. The food simply taste ordinary, and sometimes, bad. The nigiri was pretty standard - but its sushi rice was not how Japanese rice should taste. It was rough and not sticky. The grilled Kama fish glazed with Korean BBQ sauce was just inedible (the sauce was definitely not BBQ). Heirloom tomatoes was not good. A5 Wagyu and the Uni were still delicious. read more

Disclaimer: I looooooooove uni (the food/sushi), so I'm openly biased towards any restaurant that showcases uni dishes, and this restaurant sure lives up to its namesake! When it comes to nice sushi restaurants in Boston, my two go-to's are UNI (so here) and Cafe Sushi. UNI is probably the one I frequent more often because it's closer to where I live and it's a lot easier to get a reservation here (you can book through their website. I think they used to use OpenTable, but now it's through Reserve). I feel like the prices here are a bit steep for what you get, but they have a few classic dishes that I absolutely love and therefore will absolutely overpay to eat, such as... Uni Spoon: I'm going all out with this one. The uni spoon here is to die for. I order one every time I come, and it's always the highlight of my night. The quail egg yolk is so smooth and perfectly complements the creaminess of the uni. Japanese Milk Bread: super simple in concept, but omg so so so tasty. I love toast, and this bread is toasted to perfection. Plus, the apple-miso butter is to die for. Hamachi duet: two different preparations of yellowtail, primarily the sauces (one light sauce and one dark sauce; both are pretty savory but have distinct flavors). Other food items I've tried and enjoyed (but I'm pretty sure some are seasonal) include the tuna and lobster hand roll, the beef tongue toast, wagyu beef dumplings, chestnut dumplings, and the scallop truffle spoon. In short, be adventurous! If there's something that might seem a bit weird, don't be afraid to try it out - your taste buds might be pleasantly surprised! On a side note: service is fine, but I'm never particularly impressed with it. Considering what you pay, I'm always left expecting a bit more. Food: 2.5/5 Price: 50-60 per person (if you order sushi, expect higher bill) Visited on a friday night, and am still contemplating whether I should give the place a second try. First, I ordered multiple dishes to share, and did not get the omakase. I was contemplating, but it seemed that there were other tapas style menus that people came here for. Positive is that the ingredients were fresh, but the I was just not impressed by the fusion factors of the dishes. Scallops were fresh, but the vinegary sauce was overwhelming. Pork buns were good. Uni spoon was also fresh, but it made me wonder should I just have it as uni sushi? Also, ramen was super salty, noodles were not cooked very well..... Went for a late night dinner and had chicken ramen, pork belly bao, and foie gras bratwurst. The vibe is edgy and modern. Good food in general, although spicy. Everything had kimchi or chili in it. Presentation of the pork belly bao was mediocre, although the pork was quite tasty and crispy. The foie gras bratwurst was phenomenal and juicy, and the bread was wonderfully crisp an toasted. Took a friend for her birthday as she was in the mood for sushi and selected this location. Very cool décor and setting with dim lighting and a cool soundtrack. I started with a Hitachino Red Rice since this is one of the best Japanese beers in my opinion. Since it is tapas-style sushi we went with a bunch of small plates. Rock shrimp tempura, which came tossed with spicy sauce, sesame noodles tossed with Asian herbs and seasonings, and waygu dumplings with cheddar dashi which made this tasty packets seem as if they were cheesesteak dumplings. We also each had a miso soup which was rich and filled with non-standard items like shitake. For my entrée I went with the nigiri tasting and my friend had the lobster roll BLT. the nigiri was ultra-fresh and came with a great assortment. I sampled the lobster roll that came with brown butter aioli and Hitachino foam. One of the better rolls that I've had. So disappointed. Uni tried to be a Nobu or a Zuma but fails in every way. The decor is a copy of Zuma and the loud music rips off Nobu. The service is slow and inefficient. I spent a lot of time waitIng for my server, waiting for drinks and waiting for the food. Another example of the poor service was that I was served the wrong drink and my waiter asked if I drank it. When I said no she took it and served it to the other table. I started with spicy tuna rolls and it was a huge miss with the avocado inside i t. It caused the roll to have a mushy somewhat slimy consistency which was a turn off they also added what looked like rice crispy to the outside of the roll. No wasabI or ginger was provided to cleanse the pallet. I was excited for my next dish of octopus but they added so much salt I could not even taste the ginger. The octopus was some what chewy. My next dish was the Duck Carnitas and I was left disappointed because it was even more salty than the octopus. This would have been an excellent dish if they don't over do the salt. I ended the meal with a chestnut mousse and it had too many flavors and textures going. The surprise at the end of my meal was the check and not for the high dollar amount but the 3 percent kitchen provision to end sure a better wage. Update - really appreciate the owner's quick and thoughtful response and changing to 5 stars because of it. I retract the comments about an "inside" job as we were just notified the criminals have been identified. It was two women at the bar apparently. I want to leave the original review intact just for cautionary purposes for others to be aware to not let their guard down . The food was amazing and we had a great time in spite of this unfortunate incident . Watch your back and bags ! First night in town for a girls trip and credit cards as well as driver's licenses were stolen while we were at the table . We were a party of 12 who haven't done this trip in 3 years and were enjoying conversations and catching up until this happened ! Highly suspect it was an inside job based off of the lack of concern and nonchalant reaction by management and staff. Fraud alerts started blowing up our phones which clued us in to look in our purses only to find several cards missing. One driver's license was gone causing added headaches for travel . They didn't even comp one single thing which was mind boggling and a very bad business decision . Even though we are all pretty savvy women and aware of the dangers of low life thieves being all amongst us, it was still shocking for it to happen right under our noses at a high end restaurant. Late Night Ramen I was pretty impressed by the late night ramen at Uni. While it wasn't the best that I've ever had, it was pretty darn good and probably one of the best in Boston. The broth was a little heavy/thick but since it's winter and cold, this was appropriate. I'm not a huge fan of pork belly because it is always so fatty, this one included. What really blew me away were the mushrooms. The mushrooms had a charred meaty taste which was so unique and yummy. My boyfriend was not a fan which worked out because he gave me all his mushrooms and I gave him all my pork belly. Overall, it was a very heavy dish and would have greatly benefitted from a fresh vegetable like bean sprouts. The only thing that is keeping me from coming back is the almost $20 price tag and the restricted hours. read more

Charming and inventive. In a city not really known for culinary experimentation, this is a pretty cool place. One can easily get terrific oyster or lobsters etc. in Boston, simply prepared, but this is a bit more inventive - seared tuna with Foie Gras, Uni with quail egg and caviar etc. really a fun place and not quite the standard Boston fair- better than other supposedly unique places in Bean-town. Probably the best sushi sashimi restaurant in Boston for creative preparations. This is not Edo style sushi but definitely worth trying even if you are a traditionalist. The blend of flavors is outstanding and unique. The plating of sushi and food was aesthetically pleasing. The courses were spaced well apart so you don't feel rushed. I admit if this dinner cost me $100 for two, I'd be more than happy to give it a 5+ star. Unfortunately, the real cost was close to $250 (including tips) without ordering any drinks. (Maybe it's not their fault being too fancy and expensive but my own fault being too poor lol) If this discourages you already, no need to proceed to read about the dishes!! Came here on a Sunday night for a birthday celebration with reservation (honestly I don't think you really need one cause fancy places with plenty of seats like this usually is no way to be packed lol). It's not a classic/authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant but a modern Japanese/Asian small plates restaurant (think it as Japanese tapas), which provides both the classic sushi/sashimi options and also some innovative dishes. Here're some of our orders (the tailing stars below are my recommendation level as of taste ONLY, five being highly recommended) : 1. Nonesuch Oyster - amazing and refreshing taste with the special berry sauce! Yummy! But $6 per each is kinda too expensive to make it a feast :/ (*****) 2. Berkshire Pork Belly Steam Bun - Meh, not bad but not amazing either. Probably because I had it when I was about 70% full already. (***) 3. Pork Spare Ribs - really good! Slightly spicy but so juicy and flavorful! It was cooked so well that even the bones are soft enough to eat! I call it good even when I had it while I was 80% full, which I regret! (*****) 4. Chiang Mai Duck Carnitas - not the best dish I had here. The scallion pancake was kinda hard to bite. Salsa was good tho. (**) 5. Unagi & Foie Gras - another innovative dish! Combining the two very different pieces from two very different cultures unexpectedly makes it a pretty nice dish. Can be a bit too greasy for some people though! (****) 6. Wagyu beef dumplings - good but nothing special about it. (***) 7. Matsutake Mushroom - a creative vegetarian dish! Never thought about the combo of pine nuts and mushrooms can make a refreshing taste like this! The sauce added to it as well! (****) 8. Enter the Dragon Roll - better than your average dragon roll! Crispy shrimp katsu in the middle makes it crunchy and tasty! (****) 9. 10-piece Nigiri Omakase - this is a fancy plate of 10 different pieces of sushi! So fresh and tasty! Good amount for one person! (*****) Good place for a fancy meal upon special occasions but cannot be a go-to tapas place for me. Not a huge difference in food quality compared to Little Donkey or Cuchi Cuchi in Central Square, or Dali in Porter Square but definitely a big difference in price ... so keep it in mind before you go! Bad experience ! Yesterday was my husband's birthday, we had ordered Omakase for both of us and some hot plates for my boy. After our meal, on the way back home, I felt my stomach was not so well and I needed to ask my husband to drive as fast as possible since I knew I would need to run to the bathroom when I got home. The omakase is not worth it. They charge for each item individually, and upcharged for the nigiri. You're better off ordering what you prefer off the menu individually- there does not seem to be a lot of thought involved in how this menu is curated. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef actively ignored us and avoided eye contact with the rest of the patrons at the table. The service was extremely rushed and we got 6 items all at the same time, including 3 hot items and 3 nigiris. There were some really great items on the menu and some definite misses. The crab fried rice was so drenched in fish sauce that all you could taste was the sourness. The nigiri was flavorless. The uni spoon is done better elsewhere and was very overpriced. The sake sashimi was unique and flavorful, the hamachi collar was perfectly cooked, and the star of the night was the tuna with foie gras. Otherwise there was nothing stellar, and a lot of the sashimi dishes were just sliced fish with soy and yuzu sprinkled with fried onion and garlic. In sum, while there were some great dishes, if you are a true omakase lover you get a more authentic, tailored, and interactive experiences for your money at places like umami. We came here for NYE. This place can't even be a little bit related to authentic Japanese food. We ordered uni spoon, hamachi tartar, unagi and foie gras, dragon roll, lobster roll(Makimono) and nigiri omakase. Uni spoon was delicious, but everything else does not worth the money at all. The sushi rice was one of the worst I ever had in Boston (even below the quality of some all-you-can-eat restaurants) Not sure whether it's low quality is because of NYE or something else. Also, we were waiting for one of the makimono for 30 mins, we really wanted to cancel the order and leave if they haven't made that dish but unfortunately, they made it and yes, it was disappointed as other dishes we had. Full disclosure - I walked into my most recent dinner at Uni planning to document my five-star review that I was planning to write once I got home. Unfortunately, that's not quite what happened. I'd give the experience alone three stars, but rounding up considering past wonderful experiences. Sunday night dinner, reservation made months in advance, wasn't too crowded when we sat down. For a group of six, with some consultation from the waiter, we ordered quite a few plates, from all parts of the menu, with a few duplicates to make sure we'd get enough food for everyone. Once the order went in, we pretty quickly started getting a lot of food. Instead of coursing it out like one would anticipate with a large, relatively expensive meal, we got a lot of things at once a few times, and were done eating in a little more than an hour from when we ordered. Drinks were good. The white lime gimlet did not disappoint, nor the Barry Allen. A glass of Chenin Blanc was the sweetest Vouvray Chenin Blanc I've ever tasted, in a bad way, at a $20 price point... for my last glass, I asked to taste the Scheurebe ahead of time and really enjoyed it. Regardless, there were still some amazing flavors on the table. My favorites: unagi & foie gras, wagyu sirloin on hot rock, enter the dragon roll, hamachi duet, street corn nigiri. The more forgettable and less unique? Hotate, tuna tartar, kinmedai/alfonsino, pork belly buns. Staff is super attentive. Ambience is great. Sushi chef is wonderful. Food is uneven. Crab butter rice was laden with too much fresh herbs and salt. It was like a salt lick. Which is unfortunate because the flavors were great. More crab, leas herbs and soy/salt would help. The king salmon sushimi in black bean sauce was fantastic. The chocolate mousse dessert looked like a bird egg in a nest but was neither sweet nor savory. A complete miss. The chefs choice my seat mate ordered was mixed. The oyster was good. The tuna, Saba and seared tuna was a hit. The strawberries on himachi was a miss. Too powerful a fruit for such a delicate fish. The fried chicken on a pork bun was completely out of place. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 I love this place! Being originally from Boston, I went here multiple times a year and love their menu, atmosphere, and waitstaff. Every time I visit home, I make it a priority to go back to Uni at least once. I'm still attempting to try everything on the menu but my absolute favorite items are the uni spoon and brussel sprouts. The uni spoon has so many elements to it and will leave your palate satisfied and wanting more! Which is what I do - I always order one at the beginning of my meal and one at the end . Try the uni spoon with your eyes closed - you'll feel like you're tasting the ocean without the unwanted elements. I'm salivating as I talk about it. The brussel sprouts are also a must! It's a great dish to have on the side to complement everything else you'll order. It's balanced and seasoned well with the perfect amount of sweet fish sauce that brings me back to my roots. I struggle to remember to pace myself because there's always a point during my dinner where I'm craving a vegetable to eat with the heavier items and I sadly look down at my empty bowl of brussel sprouts. Yes despite all my complaints and 3 star reviews, I still come back because 1) it's super close, 2) I do like the sushi here and 3) maybe I'm really hoping for some magical redemption? ROASTED CHICKEN AND BANANA BLOSSOM SALAD - Ok please do not order this, it should just be taken off the menu. Pulled strips of chicken that is so overwhelming spicy and a little sour. Just not good, period. SPICY TUNA AND FOIE GRAS TATAKI - In contrast, this was very tasty and well balanced. Perfectly seared pieces of maguro (umami) topped with foie gras (umami and saltiness), and the aji amarillo (slight spiciness) and pear (sweetness) worked really well together. SUSHI - Still I do think the quality of their seafood is quite good. I always get the uni and had good experiences with the scallop as well. The rice is actually a hit or miss part. Sometimes, it's too hard, otherwise it's so soft it's on the edge of falling apart as I try to pick up the sushi pieces. The seaweed wrapping work could use some improvement as well. TRIPLE PORK TRIPLE GARLIC MAZEMEN - I was not lucky enough to get a reservation for the Ivan Ramen pop-up nor did I want to wait 3 hours in 20 degree weather for the walk in. I came back couple weeks later and had the mazemen off the late night menu. Hmm... call me shocked and unimpressed. The noodles itself was actually excellent and got a nice bite to them. The sauce is honestly underwhelming and did not have much flavor. The pork was not that tender and the egg was cold... I've never had Ivan's original work but cannot imagine this bowl is getting accolades from anywhere, or that I got all my tastebuds recently. KING CRAB YAKITORI - For 20 bucks, you honestly get less than 1 leg. And there's way too much salt, pepper and butter that it completely overwhelms the natural flavors of the crab. I'll take chilled raw bar style any day. OK so you can see, I still do not care for the small plates menu at all. The redeeming part of Uni's offerings is the sushi. Oh I do like the cocktails too. I'm questioning whether I should keep on coming back and hope for a different outcome or just stick to what I know. Uni is unlike anything I've ever had before. The food is fresh, and so perfectly thought out. I would recommend trying everything. The drinks are also tasty, and they have a great selection of sake. The only reason I'm taking a star away is due to management at Uni. There was a large burly blonde man who was pretty rude to my group. First, my friend dropped her water bottle right in front of him, and he just looked at it and turned around. For customer service purposes, wouldn't it have been the gentleman thing to do, to pick it up? Regardless of that, the waiter kept getting our receipt wrong.. adding items, and then over charging for drinks.. Brussel Sprouts are amazing! Friendly staff . Great portions. They add " 30%" to your check for gratuity for the chef/cooks ( this is not the gratuity for the server!) I know only a few restaurants that do this as well, just be mindful that this is going towards "the chefs paycheck" . They did not explain this but when we asked we were told the chefs make less since they don't get tipped, pretty sure chef also doesn't make $15 an hour at a place like this. read more

Our experience here was lovely on prime-time weekend night, great service, great eats, and pricing as expected and hoped. I think the big take-away for me is to know what you're getting yourself into and do your research -- especially if you're spending $$$$ -- and clearly know if this is going to be a good dining experience for you. I'm (kinda not) surprised how many people are leaving mediocre or bad reviews about things clearly as advertised by the restaurant AND as reviewed by so many other Yelpers. The atmosphere/layout remains fairly hip and antique New England with East Asian flare. The place is a fairly dimly lit and background music was noticeable but not overwhelming (thanks for the heads-up Yelper!) -- not great for people wanting a quiet dinner. I felt it was gonna be a little tight in the entry way during a busy hour but the tables cleared for us (and others) just in time before it got to be a little tight in the check-in/bar area. The service here was pretty dang good for our party of 4. Our water was always filled, our server was spot on with advice about classic dishes, appropriate amount of food, and good heads-up about pacing of dishes. There were plenty of assistants that brought dishes, available for clean-up, and requests that always translated to our server and barstaff. The pacing of the meal was great, everything came out as we hoped. There were no lulls in our meal and it didn't feel rushed -- very rare experience to come by. The food was exciting and complex at times with dynamic and interesting flavors and accompaniments, and at other times it was perfectly simple, focusing on just 1-3 high quality ingredients. The sashimi is done more crudo style here and we loved it; conversely, there are/we got some great simple nigiri dishes and uni. If you're looking for tradition (as I said above), be clear with the waitstaff and they'll be able to guide you (and look at these Yelp reviews). If you like sashimi AND crudo, then you'll probably like the Uni sashimi dishes and I recommend you experiment with one protein that you typically enjoy. If you're looking to order a few dishes with lots of food to fill up, be clear about it, too, as there are some dishes that are small but savory. For example, the mackerel nigiri was very filling with a lot of rice to accompany it. If you're interested in the experimentation, dive right in! Specific stand-outs -- the uni spoons we felt were a must try. The combination of uni, caviar, quail egg, and yuzu was delectabe -- rich and smooth. If you haven't had much uni or caviar in your life, you might not appreciate the dish for the price -- maybe just stick with the other uni dishes which are all awesome in their own rights. Additionally, if you'll be pissed off by a small to medium-sized $17 one-bite, don't order it! All the uni dishes are a must -- uni and foie gras and . We ordered multiple maki that we liked, none were disappointing, though we did stay away from the routine rolls. Other highlights for me: miso soup, apple and mushroom salad, duck carnitas, corn and cacio e pepe dumpling, orange tofu "food court style", steamed pork buns (yes, there were actually good despite some of the haters, some of the better pork belly I've had on a bao bun), enter the dragon roll, grilled kama, amberjack sashimi, uni sashimi. Drinks -- we loved the selections of japanese whiskeys (good flights to get acquainted or savor some choice selections -- and healthy pours, watch out!), the yuzu G&T, Luchini, all great. The Pineapple in Paradise was in a fun glass and pretty decent. The Satoshi's delight had some great flavors and good spice. Pretty good variety of sake and beer for pairing. The wine list was decent though we didn't order any. Price -- Ah, yes, the $$$$ signifier is justified, as you should well know coming here. You can get in pretty deep if you're not careful, and, I think you'd best assume you will in making the decision to come here to sit at a table. The late night ramen here is awesome and a great way to get away from paying a lot of money but should really be considered a different experience here altogether (and not the focus of this review). In general, if you want to come here and have a medium-sized bill, you could stay away from the sushi and probably get away with it. read more

Wow! What a wonderful experience! The chefs here are very thoughtful and creative. We had a great meal including Uni Spoon, squash tempura, wagyu beef dumplings, hot tail, and enter the dragon, blue fin tuna, and several other small bites. Plan to order 3-5 dishes per person, as the food is served tapas style -small bites. Many items had ingredients I've never heard of, or never ate. It was a great experience to try some new flavor combinations. Sushi with no soy Sauce and no wasabi! . There were some creative cocktails too, I liked the "Charles Lindbergh". Wide selection of sake, whiskey, tequila and other alcohol. Has both indoor and outdoor (with heaters) dining. Service was great. Best probably for parties of 2, quite intimate, but not quiet. I heard great things about this place, but I wasn't impressed. The service was good and I made friends sitting at the sushi bar, however the prices were a bit silly and I didn't love what I had. My new bar friend recommended the miso soup (he loved it - shiitake, green onion,and hijiki seaweed), but it didn't have much flavor. Shame on me for even trying a sushi roll with bacon... but it's definitely not something you are missing out on. The Lobster BLT Roll is just strange and the flavors didn't mix well at all. I also tried the salmon roll- the portions are great, atleast. The salmon roll has salmon on the inside and "barely cooked carpaccio" on the top. This was a strange feeling of confusion between the fish inside and the cooked fish on top... I'm sure there nigiri and sashimi are better since that seems to be their thing. I'm probably too simple of a sushi eater to appreciate this place! read more

UNI has an unbelievable atmosphere and incredibly kind staff, "V" was the best server of all times! We celebrated our wedding anniversary tonight and it did not disappoint! Everything we ate was delicious; the tuna in all of its forms was the freshest tuna around, perfectly cut & served. The wagyu beef dumplings were to die for. The pork spareribs were like nothing I've ever eaten in my life (in a good way). The sun gold tomato ohitashi was refreshing. The bang bang veal sweetbreads we're out of this world! And to top it all off, the basque cheesecake for dessert was absolute perfection! UNI is a must go to if you're in the city!! read more

This review is based on an experience on Friday, November 20. I know the date well because it was my BIRTHDAY. I made a reservation and indicated it was for a birthday dinner. If you're going for nothing else, the food here is GREAT. It's presented well and the chefs do an amazing job. The communication, service, and attitude from the GM however is unacceptable. I was seated in a hotel room (should note that NO mention of this was made in advance, until I arrived and then walked up an ugly tiny staircase.) The hotel room had a sofa, a radio from the 1990's and a tv as well as sofa. The table had no decor and the chairs appeared to be from IKEA. Certainly not the experience I was prepared for or expecting. I arrived at 7:15p for my 7:15 reservation. I was seated promptly however, it took over 50 mins to receive a cocktail. Allow me to elaborate on the several miscommunications that occured from this point on. Waitress arrives, who was lovely for the most part might I add. Waitress takes my drink order: Belvedere martini, only slightly dirty, with olives... 30 mins later, bar back arrives. Announces "Gin martini?" and motions to hand it to me, I say, "Sorry, it's a belvedere martini, perhaps it's for the other room?" He goes into the other room, attempts to deliver, however the other patrons correct him with what they've ordered. 10 mins later, my waitress returns, and hands me a GREEN martini.... my other party who has known my cocktail for FIVE YEARS, says, "I know you're not going to drink that, it looks like olive juice." I take a sip, it's legit STRAIGHT OLIVE JUICE with a splash of vodka. I motion to the waitress, "Sorry love, but I have to send this back, it's just too much olive juice. I'm sure it's not your fault but can they just make it with a teaspoon or something of olive juice? Thank you." NOW enter GM (Kate I believe.) She arrives 15 mins later or so, it's several minutes past 8pm and says, "Hi, do you mind, I've made this drink several times now so can you take a sip and see if this is to your liking?" Sip. Great! Moving on. Flash forward two courses of meals, and now attempt to order a second. To waitress; "Love, can you make sure they make it just like the last one? Belvedere martini. Slightly dirty, just a smidge of olive juice? Thank you." Now, bar back comes up, hands me a martini, GREEN, AND IT'S NOT EVEN VODKA, IT'S GIN. I've been drinking the same thing for over 8 years. I know my cocktail. I profusely apologize to the waitress; "I'm so sorry love, but I have to send this back. It's not the correct alcohol. They made it with gin." AND up comes Kate (storming in might I add) and proceeds to tell me the following: " Hi, um, so clearly we're not on the same page here - we've made several of your drinks which you've sent back. I try to explain there's somehow a miscommunication but she cuts me off and says, "So, we're not going to be doing this any longer." I reply with, "Are you able to just put vodka in a glass with a little bit of olive juice on the side and I'll make it myself?" She says No. She says, "So is there something else I can get for you, wine?" I tell her "no thank you". My guest and I were horrified at the encounter and left feeling disgusted with her demeaning remarks. To top it off, the waitress was well aware this was my birthday dinner, made no offer for dessert, simply brought the check, probably because of the strange interaction with her GM and shooed us out the door. Really makes me re-consider ever returning here based on this horrific interaction. They should be appalled at how their management treats patrons, especially when the restaurant community is suffering so greatly right now. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, so much so that I have shared this experience with all friends who asked what I did for my birthday and the horrific experience I had. Horrified. read more
