I leased a 2018 Honda Accord 3 years ago and had decided to turn my expiring lease on it into a BUY...... I really love the car...... I called the numbers on my monthly statement to ask how to do this and was always referred back toYOUR DEALER ! Unicars..... Ok......So I did contact them.....I have never been treated so rudely and lied to. The original salesperson was Elvira and NOW she is in Finance...... She didn't return my calls....... she requested mileage which I promptly txted her...... in speaking to her she told me I would HAVE to BUY the Honda Extended warranty for 3100.00 and GAP insurance for 895.00 and who knows how much my percentage rate would be...????? Rudely she said " these are our rules here " After not hearing back from her for a couple days I put a call into the finance Manager or at least that's what he said ( her boss) I got the same don't give a crap attitude from him. I REFUSE to have a gun put to my head to HAVE TO buy add ons.......that are so extremely inflated. So screw you Unicars Honda !!!!!! You will never see me again...... Update: I decided just to come anyways, and ofcourse like normal they took right in. Jeremy was my service advisor and was the last time. It's because of service advisors like him is the reason I come back to Unicars. He gives the best recommendations and ensures all his customers are taken care of. I always use Unicars for all of my service needs for my Honda Accord, but after today's recent phone call experience I probably will never. I think it's the same lady who answers the phone, but she has the worst attitude. The service techs here always provide such excellent service, the same should be taught for the phones. She was rude and very short. I have always walked in, and people should be allowed for walk ins with emergencies like needing new tires due to having no thread. I just bought a 2022 accord, 12k miles in and it fails on me. I called to get i check and they can't do anything until 2 weeks from now. So now I'm carless for those 2 weeks & have no way of making it to work since that's the only car i rely on. I bought a new car so I wouldn't be having issues and its been a nightmare. Also bought the insurance they offer and i did a claim it's been 1 month and I'm still waiting. Honestly if I would've known I would've gone somewhere else. Service department is rude and so are the sales persons i really don't recommend this place its been issue after issue. My husband called and scheduled my car to be looked at since I was having electrical issues, was told to take car in on a Friday to drop off so technicians could look at it Saturday. When we arrived to drop off was told that no technicians would be working on Saturday because they have 3 day weekends and class on Tuesday. We rescheduled for the following Wed and my car sat there from 7:45 to 5:00 and my car was not even touched plus no calls for updates. Took my car and tried again two weeks later and guess what same thing was given an appointment on a Friday and was told "I'm sorry but we don't have technicians over the weekend but you can drop it off and it will be looked at on Tuesday" yea, No I don't think so. I emailed their service manager and never heard back not an email or phone call so if you are told the service manager will contact you it won't happen. Terrible service and they are always passing the buck on who's at fault from blaming the ladies that schedule your appointments to the technicians for not being there. Went to Honda of the Desert in Cat City my problem was taken care of the day it was scheduled with TWO updated phone calls from their service department. Plus get this Honda of the Desert will text you reminders of your appointment! Will be purchasing an new hybrid from Honda of the Desert it's worth the drive to avoid any issues. read more

I will NEVER buy or lease car from here. Every staff from salesperson to service representative is very well trained to deceive you to pay more than you should. I went in for an oil change, which the finance guy told me it's all on them for 3 years when I leased my car. What they don't tel you is you have to pay A LOT for their recommended service in order to get free oil changes. For example, I took my car in for an oil change. I asked if it's going to be free 3 times. He did not give me an straight answer. I finally asked how much am I paying when I pick up the car. He finally said $130!! So if I paid for $130 worth of maintenance, he will give me the oil change for free. I asked what is included in "the maintenance." Apparently it includes tire rotation and two air filters! For $130? No thank you. You can buy the filters for $13 on amazon. Tire rotation for $30. Just do your favor and don't even think about doing anything to do with this place. My partner is very happy with his experience with the one at Palm Springs Motors. read more

I am actually shocked to see someone else had a similar problem to mine only 14 days ago! Apparently his concern was not brought to the service department as promised. Today I sat on hold for 11 minutes. The service department didn't even let me get a word in before putting me on hold. And just when I thought I was finally going to talk to someone...they hung up on me. I literally heard the service department pick up my call and hang up. I tried to call back only for it to ring with no answer. It is so rude to just hang up on people that are on hold once it reaches 6pm. I understand the department closes, but have the decency and human kindness to manage the people you put on hold! I was returning a call and of course no voicemail message was made either, so I hopefully everything is alright. I get it, you're busy, but that's no excuse for rude business practices. read more

Contacted dealership to cancel an appointment after reviewing my credit report which remains inaccurate. I tried to explain to the salesperson that it would be better to postpone the appointment to a later date. The salesman (George) rushed me out of the phone. Kept being belligerent, I was trying to explain what I was instructed because purchasing a car with my inaccurate credit would hurt me. He kept trying to insist and when I was about to finish the call he rush me out. I don't think I will ever be welcome there again if I get treated like that. Very disappointing. As a young adult not knowing the "ins and outs" of cars or even financing. I came here wanting guidance and hopefully a brand new car. Did not get that. Went there on a Sunday, January 14th and got a salesman who was completely unknowledgeable about the car I wanted. Constantly talked about himself, showed me a picture of his body from his phone (which could be considered sexual harassment) and not about what I wanted in relation to the car. He also showed my mom to the vending machine and proceeded to ask her if "I was single." Completely unprofessional and when brought to the attention of the superior, nothing was done in relation to wanting my business after something as disturbing as that. I waited for 2 hours to finally find out that the monthly payments were discouragingly high. The salesman did not try to make a better deal with me so I left. Chris, another salesman tried to help me via text and was very nice and when it came to making a deal he was talking about a lease on the car and not financing. I specifically wants financing and was confused to why he only ran the #'s for leasing. So, when I told him I could not do the lease he said that would be my only option. After that there was no further help. Long story short, if you want a car and to get really good and lower pricing, this place will not help you get there. Your best bet is going out of town towards LA where they will do anything to get your service. This place could care less if they got your business. If you google the "TOP 10 Car Dealer Scams", you will be experiencing almost every single one of those scamming techniques at Unicars Honda. I understand dealership is just like any other businesses which making profit should be one of their priorities. But I think there should be moral standards to follow and boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. On 17th of July 2017, me and my family walked in to Unicars Honda to check out the brand new 2018 Honda Odyssey. Initially, we were greeted with warm welcomes and smile. But things started to go downhill once we expressed our interest of buying the new Honda Odyssey. And here are some things that people should watch out for although there are many more: 1. They asked for my driver's license for basic information and credit check. It was definitely a mistake because it was one of their technique to keep you there. I was in the dealership for over 3 hours. I attempted to ask my DL back and every time they would ask me to wait and they would come back with more numbers but no DL. Needless to say, the technique worked on me because I bought the car from them. 2. Do not trust anything that they tell you unless they are willing to put things on a due note in writing. And it was the mistake that I made. Just a little background information, I am an active duty service member. I was on leave during this time and my leave was ending on the 25th of July. And if I did not make it back by the 25th of July, I would become an Absence Without Leave (AWOL) and I could be punished under military justice. Also, I'm stationed at Ft Hood, TX which was 21-hour drive from Cali to Texas. Therefore, it was vital for me to get the car immediately to make the commute. It was the main reason that I considered purchasing the Odyssey in the first place. On the 17th of July, I repeatedly emphasized to the dealership that I would accept the offer only if they could promise the immediate delivery of the car. Initially, they promised me the car would arrive in 24 hours and I would get the car in cars in three days under the worse scenarios. But none of those promises were true. The car didn't arrive the next day nor three days later During this time, I tried to contact the dealership but it would always go to voice mail and they would replied a day later by text. Therefore, I had to make the commute to the dealership (which was a four-hour drive for me) in order to get some update on the situations. On the 20th of July, It was my second time at the dealership. Since I was present, one of the managers had to help me to find out the status of my car. And apparently the car was just built and still in Alabama when they told me initially the car was in-transit and could arrive in 24 hours!? (lie) So, they promised me again it would 100% arrive between the 21st-23rd of July. Again, I felt for the lies again. The car didn't arrive in time as their promise. Also, they continued to ignore directly speaking to me and only replied by text. On the 23rd of July, I made my third trip to the dealership (another four-hour commute). This time I demanded a due note. Eventually, they promised the car would arrive the next day otherwise they would pay the shipping and my plane ticket for the total of $1300!? Do you think that was enough to ship a car and fly a family of 4? That was beside the point. But, again I had no choice to accept the due note. Finally, on the 24th of July, the car arrived at the dealership but with a different color!!!??? I accepted the delivery anyway because I just had to go. 3. The financial processing was another trap of its own. One main thing was the extended warranty. Initially, the dealership sold me an extended warranty for $3000 for 6yr/120mi coverage. In addition, they told me if I get the extended warranty through them I would qualify for $500 military discount (big lie). Later, I found out on Honda website that the military discount was given to all service member who purchased a 2017 or new Honda and use Honda financing. Also, they said the extended warranty would lower your APR which it was not true either. There were so much more I can say about my situation and I could probably write for days. The bottom line is I understand dealership needs to make money and I have no issue with giving people that profit. As a matter of fact, I accepted a price for the car which left the dealership with a great profit margin and accepted a much undervalued trade-in offer. But the way that they run their business is absolutely terrible. The dealership never put their customer first instead they put making money as their only priority. In my case, I could have been an AWOL Soldier and jeopardize my career. Overall, it was absolutely the worse car buying experience I ever had. And my family was so stress out during the entire process. I would not wish upon on everyone else. I would advise people to do your research and try to avoid what happened to me. Tony read more

I am starting to think I have a big S on my four head for sucker. I have two doctorate degrees and I'm pretty smart but I don't know everything and because I'm honest with people I expect that from others. I am sitting in the waiting room at Unicars because they convinced me that I needed $145 fuel injection clean out, even though I've had the car for only 13 months. I complained about it but they insisted that the "parts" were worth $145. I told him I was feeling ripped off but he said it was so important for my fuel mileage and of course who doesn't want better mileage? But now my research has shown me that this was an unnecessary procedure. I am one year into a three-year lease with them, but plan to do all my servicing elsewhere.
