The mechanics and technicians do not treat your car with respect. They have a complete disregard for the hard work that it takes to pay for that vehicle that you leave in their care. They have left my car with oil marks on the door handle, ignition button, gear shifter, entertainment screen, door panels, moon roof, floors, and even on the back of the driver seat. They have scratched my leather steering wheel, and interior handle behind the driver seat. They have even driven 5 miles while doing an oil change. I will not return, and highly recommend other car owners to go elsewhere for service. read more

Just a heads-up on anyone who wasn't given the whole scoop on the 'free' oil changes with Honda upon purchase. You get the free oil change ONLY if you pay them to take care of ALL the codes that pop up, or you void the free oil changes. Took my car in today and they tried to charge me $30 for tire rotation. I tried to pass because we can do it ourselves, and they said it would void all my future oil changes. I am annoyed that this benefit comes with stipulations. They ended up not charging me this one time. So, their free oil change is actually a money scam on their customers. read more

This review is for service only. I leased a 2015 Civic EX from the other Honda dealer in Cathedral City because it's closer to my home. I was having problems getting my iPhone Navigation App to work in my car. My partner leased a 2015 Fit EX at the same time and don't have any problems with either of our phones working in his car, just mine. So I took the car back to the Cathedral City shop. The first time the app started to work, as soon as I pulled up to the service area...embarrasing!! The next time, I took the car back and this time it didn't work. So they took the car into the shop, as I waited. A couple of hours later, they informed me that they did some research and according to HondaLink, my iPhone 6+ would not work with my model vehicle??? I was not equipped to argue with the tech, I hadn't done enough research but it just didn't "smell right" to me. Did some research on line and finally called the HondaLink support number. The tech was very informative and had me try a series of steps in my car as he stayed on the line. After about 1/2 hour of testing, it was determined that something was indeed wrong with the vehicle and not my phone or cables. Oh and he also "poo-pooed" the issue of the iPhone 6 and my vehicle. It will work!! I thought someone was trying to blow smoke up my posterior opening!! Soooo; since I had such a bad service experience at the other dealer, thought I'd try Unicars and see if there service department was any better. Went on-line and made an appointment and took my vehicle in. I was promptly greeted and went inside to do the paperwork and to the waiting room for about 2 hours. They kept me posted on their progress throughout the time I waited. After they finished their preliminary troubleshooting, they informed me that the unit in my car was faulty and that they would order a replacement. Should be about one week. YAY; they didn't try to give me a "snow job" like the other dealership. The unit didn't come in as planned and they kept me posted on a weekly basis. After one month, I was starting to get concerned, so I called the Service Manager (Carl). He listened to me, logged onto my profile and told me he'd get right to the bottom and call me back. About 1.5 hours later he calls and tells me "Communications had broken down somewhere between his shop and Honda Technical Support". The shop had some more troubleshooting to do beforehand. He apologized and we setup a time for me to return to the dealership, so that they could replace my unit with one from another car on their lot, to determine if it was the unit or the wiring harness. Turns out it was the harness, so one week later, they replaced the harness and now the App works in my car as advertised. I know that if I do lease another Honda, it will be from this dealership, even though they are further from my home. read more

This business may have the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. The General Sales Manager Jonathan Romero has no common courtesy or ethics. In a position of management you are expected to lead by example for the rest of your staff to follow. His arrogance reflects in this business, especially the Finance manager Jose Laquin. I, as an employee that works directly with the Coachella valley community every single day, expected to be treated the same way I would treat someone who walked in to my workplace. Jose and Jonathan did nothing but escalate a situation that could have been easily solved with a little time and respect, which I, as a loyal customer, gave them the opportunity to do. I live locally and I stopped by to look at a New Honda Accord. I have a 2006 with a ton of miles so I figured it may be time. I read the reviews and was expecting the worst. I went in and was immediately greeted by one of the Managers Rob. He was extremely accommodating. Told him what I wanted and he had one of his sales people pull the Accord right up. He introduced me to his sales person Justin (I believe that's what his name was). He asked me if I wanted something to drink and brought it right to me. The process was seamless. I spoke to Rob about past experiences and he explained that there is a new Management team in place and boy does it show. No problems, no back and forth and thankfully no "sales tactics". It truly was a breathe of fresh air. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. read more

I was looking to purchase a car a couple months back and decided since Ive purchased TWO cars from unicars and have sent several family members and friends who have also purchased from them, that I would go to them again and try to get a new car. I delt with a salesmen who was quite helpful in getting my info and trying to "get me approved" I dont knw if these salesmen really think they have a hand in the approval part of a deal but I KNOW FULL WELL they dont..... I was called several days later which I also kno it does NOT TAKE THAT LONG for a bank to approve nor deny anything but to then call me and say that I wasnt approved and a "by the way your current vehicle in going to be repossessed" hahahhahaha I could have given proof to ALL at that dealer that, that wasnt the case and I was in a contract that was to cause someone with my credit history to fail...still have current car Im not on any repo list and these so called salesmen shouldn't tell me ANYTHING that they assume is gonna happen.... The whole time I heard the service guy tying to talk people into buying their OEM parts at extremely high prices! One guy was quoted $500 for a rebuilt alternator! He said a new one would cost $700! All the staff from the service guys to the Sales department spent a considerable amount of time to locate and fix a very loud rattle. The car, my dream Civic Hatch, is only 8 months old and a rattle developed. The staff did not blow me off but rather, heard the noise and agreed it needed to be located and fixed. Anthony was my Service rep and he kept me informed of the progress on a regular basis. My salesman, George Korman, likewise kept in touch with the Service Manager and contacted me several times to keep me abreast of the progress. Both George and Anthony were wonderful. It took a few weeks to locate the issue and order new parts but everyone agreed the car was to stay with them until the issue was resolved. The entire service department was hell bent to find and fix the rattle. I can't thank Unicars enough for the dedication they exhibited to me and their product. read more

I went there looking for the Honda Odyssey I was walking around the lot for over 30 minutes and not one of their workers came out to greet me or even help me. I mentioned it on the Facebook app and now they blocked me from making comments. They wouldn't have to worry about reviews if they actually had good customer service and took bad reviews and changed instead of covering their poor customer service. Stay away from this company. The day I took my car home the tint on my rear passenger window peeled off while the car was being detailed at the dealership. Mike promised me that if I drove my car off the lot that day that the following day he guaranteed my car window would be re-tinted. I visited the dealership the following day and he said a tint tech. was not available that he would reach out to me as soon as the job could get done. I NEVER received a call! He gave me a direct line where I could reach him I would text him and he again would promise he would get it done but would never call me. I would call almost every other day and I could never get ahold of him. Now 1 year later my car has yet to be re-tinted !!!!!!  I purchased my car with Honda because I thought you guys would provide the best service to customers but I have yet to experience any good service !!!  Now I demand my car gets re-tinted or I will take matters into my own hands and go above and beyond to get the service I deserve!!! read more

It's weird how so many people had a great experience but mine was horrible. Of course they tried to act all dominant when I was interested in a car. I told them what I wanted my monthly price to be and they kept giving me prices over what I said so I kept rejecting it. Ricky's "director" came into the conversation acting all tough and gave me the exact offer Ricky gave me and I said no and then they left me at the desk and didn't do anything. had a really good purchase experience here over the weekend. we avoided the closer-by honda dealer just 1.5 miles from our home because of a horrific initial scam experience a few years ago that drove us to purchase a higher-end car from yet another dealer where the buying experience was relaxed, super-professional and even pleasant. we even upgraded there for that reason alone a couple of years later. i really dreaded even trying another more "common brand" dealership, but was looking for a hybrid vehicle, and the upscale brand offered none. from the first greeting at the door, we were treated with deference, and our salesperson LISTENED to our wants, delivered only appropriate vehicles, and explained everything about them thoroughly and authoritatively. met with the business manager (Mark) and plotted a deal, though we couldn't decide on the spot, and there was no pressure applied. after making the decision at home overnight, we let them know we'd be back, and drove straight there, only to find that our choice had been sold half an hour before (note: cars are in huge demand everywhere, while supplies are low... makes it tough!). our great salesperson, Manny, got our disappointment, and produced another vehicle we hadn't seen earlier, and the deal was made. None of the "i have to talk to my manager but i don't think he'll go for it" BS here. we appreciate the PROFESSIONALISM of EVERY person we worked with in the process, and we observed that high level of professional attitude being displayed by ALL of the other salespeople in the many transactions going on around us. great job, unicars honda! read more

There is a reason this place is 2 1/2 stars on Yelp. Nothing wrong w the product. Hondas are great cars. Their big problem is the service dep. Not once, not twice but 3 times in 45 days service and parts screwed up my orders/parts. Factory parts were ordered under warranty and guess what? Wrong parts. And i still did not get a call after the last mistake. 1 month after. Not only i wasted my time several times, they don't apologize for it. I wouldn't write a bad review on the sales dep. for i understand they want to make as much $ as they can, and i want to save as much as i can. BUT SERVICE is what brings people back to buy from you. The name speaks for itself, SERVICE dep. To service my car and me. Not to be jacked around and be given excuses. So, i'm trading my 5th Honda for something else because i don't want to deal with you anymore. Very badly run for a 20 million dol business. These guys are Horrible. I bought a car back in April and left with an empty tank and abs light on 15 mins after I left the dealership. They also screwed up my paperwork and didn't notify me about paper work that they said "I didn't sign" when I made it extremely clear that was all the paper work I needed to fill out complete and was I good to go.. Now 6 months later I'm still arguing with them trying to figure out the deal with my license plates that I've been so paitently waiting for. Any military members looking to buy here I advise you this is not the place to Go I can no longer drive my car on base cause of these idiots that work here. read more

SHADY LIARS! I just caught you trying to be clever with your "internet pricing!" I was quoted $19,620 on a 2014 Honda Accord LX Sedan, which has a sticker price of $23,545. Sounds like a great deal, right? WRONG! Here's the real story. That quote includes a $500 Flex Cash rebate, assuming they still have Flex Cash, which apparently is highly unlikely since it's the end of the month, and Flex Cash runs out every month, especially since it's right before Black Friday. Also, I found out that the quote DOES NOT include a $995!!! security system that you have to pay for in order to get their "super low" internet price. So really, their price isn't $19,620, it's $21,115. Not even close to being competitive. Stay away from Stephanie in their lame internet department. read more

Got there, drive test the car, a Fit EV, liked it, got approved for the lease and told them I'll call them back the next day. I actually called the same night, told them I wanted the car, and set up a meeting for 9 am next day. Well to start how does a dealership sell 3 cars to an 89 year old women ! Without her present, and she isn't even allowed to drive and owns a car and still paying for it. Well this is how, people posing as her made the deal with a salesperson, and the finance department authorized the sales. Problem made numerous calls to sales managers and they don't return your calls also, promised to mail contract made with fraudsters and didnt.
