The staff seemed frantic but they were working very promptly to make sure customers could be seated. I was told that our party of 2 would be about 15-20 mins. They took my phone # to add to the waitlist. The wait was more like 6 or 7 mins. We were seated in the bar area at the booths. The bar is somewhat loud but it was still average. It's nice that they can accommodate parties of 2 so easily. There were several large groups, primarily families so it's certainly kid-friendly. They serve up some of the BEST fries! I suggest the O'Crabby Patty. It is on the heavy side with caramelized onions but wow is it packed with flavor. I will be getting that again for sure!

You hear about taciturn folks in the Northeast but we had several people talk to us, but then again, maybe we stuck out and everyone could easily tell we weren't local. In any event, it was lovely. The food was good too. Shrimp cocktail was on point but the highlight were the chicken tenders. The portion was gigantic...we were expecting maybe four tenders and there were something like eight! They were fried perfectly too. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside....really well done. As we were leaving, there were people already waiting for tables so this must be a very popular place to eat and based on my experience (friendly environment, great service, terrific food) it's not hard to see why. Definitely check out The Breeze if you're in the area.

This was tasty but there was more bread than roast beef. The other person chose to keep her flat iron streak, but I could tell it was very difficult to cut and chew. Another ordered the Chicken Milanese Salad which included arugula, peppers, roasted tomatoes and olives in a balsamic dressing. The Parmesan crusted pan fried chicken came over-done but that meal was well-liked. The service and the ambiance were stellar.

It was mostly local regulars, but all were very friendly and talked about local activities. The pub had all the regular beers, nice and cold. The food was actually pretty good bar food, had their pub shaved steak sandwich. It was different but good and the fries crispy. I sat at the bar and the service was very good and bartender friendly. Definitely worth the stop.

The best diner we have ever been to, and we have been to quite a few. We spend a weekend in Laconia every year, and this is the only breakfast place we go to. The staff is beyond friendly, and not just to customers but to each other as well which I really think speaks to what a warm environment Union has. There is plenty of seating, everything is clean and the food cannot be beat. Their eggs benedict is fantastic, meatloaf omelette with chipotle sauce is where its at, the home fries are cooked perfectly and GET THE WAFFLES. read more

The staff here is always so friendly, even when they're crazy busy! Had breakfast there last weekend and was so impressed with their specials, creative and fun and they have a little something for everyone! I highly recommend the "Monstermosa" what a treat! Classic New England diner vibes with the counter and booths, and for those who know, it's one of the famed "Worcester diner cars" so there's an extra layer of history here!
