I went to the 23rd Street salon after making a an appointment. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised to find out how super clean it really was. I have been going to the salon for years because it is has always been sanitary and clean. But now it is super high tech sanitary and clean. When Sundeep was waxing me she took great care . She is the best and is so patient. My room was extra clean and sanitary. I felt so much better after going there and will continue to go there . The staff truly take care of customers!!!!! read more

Definitely missed my monthly waxing sessions at this place. I was going for about a year before the Covid outbreak and just went back after 5 months. I called to make an appointment and spoke to Malika who walked me through their covid sanitation process. They're taking precautions including: -temperature checks -hand sanitizer -masks & shields -frequently changing gloves -distancing -workers are being tested to ensure safety -sanitizing the place after hours Thanks Malika for the walkthrough - really appreciate it! I've been going to see Meet for a wax for the longest time and she does a great job! Clean wax. Theynow have a complementary wine station! Update: 11/12: Normally I come and Meet waxes me. Unfortunately today Meet wasn't here so I got a wax from Pari. She was delightful and made sure to give me a clean wax. She also offered me some wine from the wine station. Pari also told me about their waxing package. Got the sugar wax for $226 for 6 waxes (paid with credit card, it's $216 if you pay with cash) and there's no expiration date. Definitely recommend getting a wax from either Meet and Pari !! Service here is always great and most importantly you get a clean wax. read more

Just had my second Brazilian Wax in my entire life, and I had it with my main and only trusted waxer, Manju. I had my first ever brazilian with Manju less than a week before my wedding last year, around November. I have never gone through it, so after reading recommendations from Yelp, Manju's name came up a lot, and I was convinced. Thank goodness, I trusted all these reviews, because Manju took care of me and even walked me through honestly every pain I could feel. I have very sensitive skin, so I opted for the sugar wax. Came here on Saturday morning around 10 AM, right after they open an they took me right away! Everything I have previously mentioned is true, this is a great place and everyone does a great job. Since my last visit, they have updated their computer system/reward system. Now they have iPads you sign into when you pay that will show your bill on your account and it will also track you visits for rewards. In the Flatiron where threading salons are a dime a dozen, Unique Threading Salon really isn't all that unique. What has been unique are my experiences here, from good to bad to good. The place is located on the second floor of a beat up building and is very easy to miss. The long stair well can be a problem for those on crutches or older folks who have issues walking. I've seen a few spills here happen, be very careful. These ladies are all masters at their craft, except the one I had. My first time here was marred by a woman who literally cut my eyelid with her wild threading. Granted it was a tiny cut, it was still a cut. I didn't realize this until much later when she applied the gel on my skin and it stung like hell. I swore off coming to this place until I had no where else to go. Since then they have done well for me. The brows look good and each lady has been quick, efficient, and friendly. They also have a customer loyalty card, which results in a free session / discount after a certain amount of visits. At $6 each session, it remains to be a very inexpensive option for grooming in the city. read more

I waited for less than 5 minutes and went inside for the process. They have a no double dipping policy, that's a plus! Then inside the room, they have a list of tips for taking care of the area getting done. There's really relaxing music and a great scent in the room making you feel comfortable.
