Warren's hardly my usual stomping grounds, but I had time to kill and chores to get done after a lunch date with my beau. As the nearest outpost of the USPS, the Mound Road post office became a pit stop to ship out packages and cards. At midday, this place is hopping. The very narrow parking lot does not easily accommodate larger vehicles, which of course means every SUV and truck tried to squeeze themselves in tighter than a hipster wearing skinny jeans from the junior's department. I managed to snag a spot from someone on their way out not far from the door. Expect patience, though, as space is at a premium. I snagged a bubble envelope on the way in, and found the usual assortment of boxes, mailers, and prepaid envelopes to be significantly larger than my hometown Ferndale array. A point to Warren there. Other supplies were helpful, but I just snagged a pen and copied down an address while waiting in line. Postal counter space is equally at a premium, so for the last-minute mailers, please take your tape and boxes outside if it's a busy time. The line has to snake around past you and may contribute to a real sense of claustrophobia. Service was good from clerks with a smile, and one of them was receiving Easter egg "chicks" made by a regular customer. The craft project was adorable and I wanted nothing more than to steal one all for myself. Apparently they've earned a loyal clientele over the years, which is always a nice sign. But the staff were good about scanning everything in and helping me pick out a few stamps for the collector in my family, though I fear I may have taken a little longer than my usual outings. Nonetheless, they didn't make me feel rushed or like a pariah. read more

Higher office personnel who will actually return a phone call to a customer and work with them rather than making an excuses for a carrier who's decided she's entitled not doing her job. I've never heard of a male carrier scared of dogs so I won't deliver mail to a house with a door open because they have dogs in a secured house. read more

This is the best USPS location that I've ever been too! Once you've been to the Center Line location it's easy to have a better experience at any other office period! The Warren one on Mound always have the best employees and the supplies are well stocked and the whole place is clean as a whistle! read more

I'm not sure if it's safe for me to put my bills in my mailbox, I've had countless bills that never make it to their destination, including my mortgage my dentist bill my credit card bill I mean, they never receive it. It's crazy. I don't know when my mail is coming on Bunert . It's all different times. So I've been checking it the day after to see if the mail comes there's any mail after the first time my mortgage payment got to wherever it went and never got to the destination never came back to me and then I thought OK something happened with the mail I'll give them a chance then after like three more times I don't know what's going on. There isn't anyone to talk to at warren. If you look up the number for the warren location, it takes you to the national number that puts you through a huge loop. Wait time to talk to anyone was 36-57 minutes. We receive our mail usually around 7pm so maybe the mail person didn't see that this package was completely ripped open. Online you can't find anything relatable to damaged packages. I tried filing a claim, but the website is broken and the items you have to click on, doesn't work. The USPS is broken at best. Gladly the seller will send me replacements. And maybe some day USPS can hire competent people. I tolerate everyday someone waking across my landscaping and in my flower beds. I even except that they deliver mail that isn't mine and I have to give to my neighbor (quite regularly) I can't accept mail that looks like it got drop kicked. No one saw this package in this condition? Then again it was completely dark at 7:05 when arrived. read more

I will have to file fraud and theft charges against this facility. Package was supposed to be delivered to my home through the Center Line postal service. According to package tracking it was picked up by an individual at this Warren location- well it was not me. Nobody I know would have picked it up - had no idea it would be routed Warren. So I get the joy of filing charges through the police department and taking other legal action due to this fraudulent scan that covers up theft. Not a high dollar item - just a straps to hand a curtain rod. The point is that the fraudulent scan allowed theft. read more

Went online and set a vacation hold on my mail delivery for a week while I was away. Specified on the website form that I would pick up the mail from the post office when I got back (they give you 10 days, went on day 4) . Went back in and they said that my mail wasn't there. I had a printout of all of the dates as well as a confirmation number, she said they don't use those. She would not look at my piece of paper whatsoever with all of the info on it. Odd. You would think maybe they could track the location with a confirmation number? She found a "manager" who came to the counter 15 minutes later who took my info down and said she would contact me the next day. No call. Not that I expected one. Asked my mail carrier if she had my mail, no idea. Went online and filed an inquire, no response Would have been nice to get at least get a call from the manager. . Pretty unnerving to have a week's worth of mail disappear in thin air, but when you know who runs the USPS, it's actually not surprising whatsoever. Our tax dollars at work, right? Don't have these issues with UPS or FedEx. read more

She had me write a note saying what I did and what needed to be corrected , stamped it for me told me to put my number on there so she can follow up with me and that's exactly what she did and I appreciate her and the mail carrier for that !!! read more

My wife went in today 11/12/2020 to mail a package overseas. The post office employee demeaned and humiliated her because she did not have the correct envelope. This place have the worst service ever. I was unable to reach anyone after calling several times at the local store or 1-800 #. After finding out they delivered my package to the wrong address, the post office could not locate my package. I have cameras at my home so I was able to confirm undelivery of package after being told otherwise by the supervisor. read more

An absolute fucking atrocity. I called over 10 times, each time it rang about 5 times and then I received a busy tone. So apparently there's no "hold until an associate can assist you" like the voice message says. I tried hitting the numbers for the other departments, no one answered and every single one of them have a full mail box. Don't get me started on their moronic drivers. In three weeks I've had three packages that couldn't be delivered because they didn't have access to the door. This last time my partner was home all day and no one even knocked or rang the bell, so I assume they just didn't feel like making the attempt. Will be reporting them. read more

This Place is the ABSOLUTE WORST MAIL SERVICE OUT THERE. 1st and foremost, my package was supposed to be delivered today and it has been sitting at this facility for a week. I tried reaching out to them but the only number listed is the 1800number. Called that number and waited LITERALLY 1 hour and 22 minutes to speak with someone only for her to tell me what I already know. Its at that facility and it hasn't been accepted yet. Ok, what type of help was that? It takes over a week to get 1 package checked in and accepted that's ridiculous. The Warren Post Office is conveniently located at 28401 Mound Rd, Warren, Michigan. It is South of 12 Mile Rd and North of 696. Mound Rd is easy on, easy off of 696. My husband and I have a post office box at the Warren post office, plus I worked here for 37 years before I retired in 2003. First hand, I can tell you that the people who work here are dedicated and hard-working. When it gets really busy, they send someone out to help clear the line by taking care of customers who have a notice they received at home to pick up an item that must be signed for. Sometimes, passports are handled at a window in the outer lobby so the line moves faster. Now, as a regular customer, I can honestly say that I have never, not once, had a negative experience at this post office. They have kept up their high standards and I am very proud of all the people who still do such a wonderful job to serve the people of Warren. read more

I have no idea who they've got doing our area on Wednesdays, but yesterday, Wed July 15, my neighbors and I had no pick-up/delivery. The previous Wednesday, mail was not picked up/delivered until 6:48 PM. On normal days it arrives around noon. Called the local office on Mound. Pressed 2 for delivery issues. Pressed 1 for 48088 area code. "The mail box is full and can not take any messages." Then the system hangs up on you. Pathetic. read more

Horrible! They lose mail routinely and admit they've no idea what happened to it. Don't try to call. No one will answer and after 10 minutes on hold you will be disconnected. You cannot leave a message as every prompts mailbox is full. The employees at this post office are rude, curt and just don't care. When a postal carrier hands you mail at 10:30am but then puts in the system that your beauty subscription makeup up bag can't be delivered (same day at 3:22pm) because the AREA IS NOT SECURE??? what does that mean? It means she didn't want to deliver it to you. It's never shown up It was a pretty pink padded envelope. Did she just keep it?? No one at this post office has any explanation. My mailbox is VERY SECURE and my mail is always left in this large box that closes very securely I'm just so upset that she got my bag that I paid for! It's not right! I can't complain. It's the US Post Office! Long lines happen, sometimes. I usually don't have to wait very long. They are good about letting people that are picking up mail "skip" the line. Wish I was able to give negative 5 stars. I sent a package in January registered mail on the receipt it stated approximately 3 days. After 1 week I called post office they told me it was last scanned in Pontiac even though it was only going 3 miles up Mound. I was told that is the prosses for registered mail. After 2 weeks I called and got the same answer. Then I was told I should had payed more for 2 day and it would had been there by now. I called on March 14th to see if I can get my money back for shipping and was told it was not lost but still in transit ( 2 months latter). I then put the same package in regular mail on 14th with 6 stamps in Hazel Park and it was delivered on th18th. But since I know it is still in transit maybe it will get there some time in 2020. read more

Had mail delivered to my work today and signed for 4 pieces of certified mail. I opened them and then realized that one was not addresses to our company. I have been trying to reach someone at this location and at the 800 number with no luck. Amazing how one number just rings and rings, then a busy signal and then you get disconnected. The 800 number, no matter what number I push and dial 0 for the operator you get sent to take their survey. This is not the first time I have had trouble with mail delivery and trying to speak to someone about an important issue. read more

Love my regular postal carrier AJ, he does a GREAT job!! I am so thankful for him. He does a fantastic job checking on me since I ship & receive packages quite often. However, whenever he is away from the job....OMGosh. The sub-carriers are rude, they don't respect your packages whether being delivered or picked up. One carrier dropped a package from 4 ft right on to my concrete porch, when my mailbox was right in front of her. Other times, I have viewed first hand carriers tossing my picked up packages in those little vans they drive around in. One time, I tracked down a postal carrier to hand her a package for shipment. As I was approaching she's saying "Your not bringing me more mail to deliver" with a very disgusted look on her face. Several times in my area, we have not received mail deliveries at all. Than the next day we will have 2 carriers delivering mail to play catch up. How is this efficient? Whenever, AJ, my regular postal carrier is away I always put in for a scheduled package pick up. Today I had 2 packages scheduled for package pick up & as of 4:45pm no one has been by to pick up the packages & no mail has been delivered. Don't even try calling the Warren location, because you won't get through. The phone will ring & ring & then you will be disconnected. All the department mailboxes are full & have been full for months. Apparently, customer service is not of importance to this branches management. I suggest you take your business over to the Center Line branch located on Van Dyke between 10 & 11 mile. read more
