I highly recommend the VIP tour. You start in the lounge with a breakfast buffet that includes egg and cheese croissant sandwiches, ham and cheese croissant sandwiches, pastries, coffee, tea, and juices. The bathrooms are very nice, palatial even. The walls have interesting movie memorabilia, including the letter sent to Speilberg when he tried to work at Universal.

I recently took part in my first VIP experience and created a business page for that so I will have a review of the whole experience there but here I'll say the VIP lounge is a GREAT asset to the experience and a wonderful start to your day! You are greeted by amazing staff at the door and counter of the VIP lounge where they check you in, give you a run down of the day, meeting times, and a poncho for Jurassic World. Once upstairs, you it's free game for all the pastries you can and want to eat! They have a small buffet set-up of breakfast sandwiches (ham & cheese and salmon), pastries, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, coffee, tea, juices, and water. They also have private bathrooms, hand sanitizer and face wipes, and plenty of seating inside and out. The inside has comfy couches while the patio overlooks the main entrance to Universal Studios. There are plenty of staff on hand to clean and assist you with anything you need as well as the tour guides roaming around when their tour time comes to collect the groups. You definitely don't want to miss this!

A continental breakfast is just that. Cheap danishes, limited amounts of fresh fruit, watered down juice and such. This place was no better no worse. They did have an automated cappuccino machine which is beyond what most setups like this offer. If it was not included in the VIP package I would not go back.

Great value. Basically you get one full day of all the rides (Front of the line), extended back of the lot tour, VIP tour guide and well equipped trolly, breakfast and gourmet lunch and a bunch of other little things add it to make it a excellent way to spend a day at universal studios. Also While we were leaving we stopped by NBC sports bar and they gave us a free dish since we have the VIP experience pass. My recommendation would be to get the earliest tour so that you can get everything done in eight hours and then decide to leave the park take a nap and come back later on. In our case we're just spent and tired from that LA sun, but really loved the tour and glad we did the VIP experience.

Great place to start off before the actual VIP Experience tours. Check in at the front door downstairs and then walk upstairs for a bit of comfort and relaxation. For guests, they do have free complimentary pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and beverages available. Salmon croissants were super delicious. Danish pastries are found here. Tarts, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruits, etc. Pick whatever you want. Take as long as you want, right before your scheduled tour. Restrooms are super clean and unique. Everything is well kept and decorated. Most people scheduled for the tours sit inside the lounge and at the couches. You can choose to sit outside at the balcony and patio areas. Amazing views. Staff is always cleaning and maintaining the place. Very private party feeling. You get to meet your tour guide and get an introduction right before the tours and getting onto the VIP Experience tour bus. Their staff members are well trained and everyone is passionate about their jobs. Tour guide is with you throughout the entire time. Yes, perfect place to start. Free bottled water, sanitation wet wipes, hand sanitizers, sunblock, etc. Beautiful stop for sure.

They had 3 different tiers of parking (general $40, Preferred $60 and Front Gate $80). On the first day we picked the Front gate parking which was literally in front of the entrance gate. They also handed out fruit snack and water in the front gate parking lot. The security and ticket check process was super quick. We went straight to the Super Nintendo world, which was about 10 minutes walk. Nintendo world was by far the most popular part of the park. We spent few hours here. Then we took the ride in Jurassic Park, the Transformers and the Mummy returns. There were plenty of shops, restaurants and food stalls were available. After we were done with the lower part of the park, we went back to the top half where they had the Simpsons, the Minions, Harry Porter Wizard Park and the most popular Fast and Furious roller coaster. Each of these sections also had shops and restaurants matching the food and merchandises. The lines were long for most of the rides, at least more than 20 minutes for most of the popular rides. We bought the Express Lane passes that allowed us to get into each ride once skipping the regular line. We were able to get on all the rides in the park within the day. The park had mist sprays all around. There were many opportunities of characters meetup like Hello Kitty, Mario, Luigi, Peach, T-rex, Optimus Prime. Megatron, Bumble Bee, and Scooby Doo gang. We used the Universal App the check their appearance time and location. Staff members all around the park were friendly and helpful. We returned to the park for the free second day but only spend half day, mostly at the Super Nintendo park since my daughter loved it so much, she wanted to play all the games again to score coins. This time we picked the general parking which is about 10 minutes walk from the lot, through the Universal City Walk.

On a family of 4, you will be spending 1K just to enter the park. But I have to say the fast pass is worth it. I get to go on all the rides with minimum wait. Nintendo world is a big hit for my daughter. She enjoys collecting coins and keys with power up wristband. I love the rides. I love to see the decorations, the animations, the simulations they put in. Also the thrill of fast speed and small drops. Picture with characters is a must. You can see the characters timetable on the app. The app also allows you to track the wait time, order food ahead and make reservations. Staff are friendly. Bathrooms are clean. The whole park is clean. Merchandise is good. I had a great time. I wish they have more mist fans along the park to cool down visitors.

The pizza had fresh veggies! I liked that. There was a decent amount of cheese. The crust was alright. It could have been hotter maybe? But other than that, it was decent. I would eat this again. Toadstool Cafe Mushroom Soup This was horrible. It was the worst mushroom soup I have ever had. It tasted like mushrooms ground up and thrown in a broth. Just gross. I would not order this again. The cup is cool, and you can keep that. Tasted like garbage. Hogsmeade Butterbeer Actually, not too bad! It's bubbly and frothy lol Had an okay flavor. It tasted like root beer to me lol I would get this again! Power Up Cafe Veggie calzone This was not half bad! It is super cute, comes a mushroom head. It tasted pretty good. It had lots of veggies in it and I wish it had more cheese. It was edible though. I would order one again. The cafe itself was adorable! Toadstool Cafe Pirahna Salad The salad was very fresh. Loved the presentation. I would not order it again though. It was expensive for what you get and not very filing.

A full Two hour guided tour riding around the back lot on a 15 passenger electric cart. Super knowledgeable driver / tour guide (Zack) talks you through the various backlot sets and sound stages with video presentations on the monitors mounted in the cart. There are several stops where you can get off to experience and hear details about shows and movies that used these specific sets. Very interesting seeing the building facades and landscaped grounds and the history of the studio. Our tour included a snack / continental breakfast and a lunch at the Friends Central Perk cafe restaurant. Both offered a decent selection of food and drink items. In the morning they served juices, coffee, tea, water, chips, cookies, danish to munch on before the tour started. Caveat is you only have 15 minutes to relax and enjoy before leaving for the tour. Lunch break happened at the end of our two hour guided tour. The tour package lunch included a hot or cold entree, side dish and drink. We were surprised at the selection and quality of the food. Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy. Coffee drink was solid with creamy topping. After lunch you begin the self guided portion of the tour which is inside stage 48? Where the restaurant was located. Film technology and costumes on display with various interactive display to participate. Harry Potter, Batman, Superman and other blockbuster movies artwork, costumes and videos on display. So much to discover. Easily spent 2 hours in there. Surprisingly they told us we also had entry into the Superman Experience. We did not know this was part of the tour. It is not mentioned in the marketing online. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to skip this. Too bad as I think it is super popular.
