Delicious, clean beef noodle soup! It's no wonder that Uno Beef is known to be the best Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup restaurant in Vancouver! I like that the menu is affordable and reasonably priced, with each beef noodle soup bowl to be around $14 to 15. I tried the Beef, Tripe, and Tendon Noodle Soup (A12), and my partner had the Beef Shank Noodle Soup (A2). Both bowls were really delicious and enjoyable. I really liked how flavorful the broth was and how tender the beef shank was. I also liked the beef to noodle ratio as each bite had a piece of beef to accompany it. The service was quick and friendly, and there's parking available behind the building. They offer 3 hours of parking for free after you register your plate with the restaurant. I think this is now one of my new favorite restaurants for Taiwanese beef noodle soups. read more

Uno beef noodle is definitely one of the best Taiwanese beef noodle restaurants in the lower mainland. I've been to Taiwan several times, and their noodles are seriously just as good! My favourite would be the spicy beef noodle, which comes with a nice kick. They actually have a wide variety of dishes, and I would highly recommend their spicy chicken set. I believe it's a deep fried chicken thigh, covered in a spicy sauce and with green onions. Came on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't busy. There is sanitizer and a place to write your name and phone number at the front. They check your temperature here too. We ordered 2 beef noodle soups and one popcorn chicken. The total came to about $40 give or take. The Uno Steak Noodle Soup came with steak instead of the usual beef brisket, flank or innards. The steak was a bit medium rare but cooked as it sat in the broth. It was still quite tender and it tasted very peppery. The Beef, Tendon, Tripe Noodle Soup had a great portion of tripe, about 2 pieces of tendon and 2 pieces of beef. The tripe itself did have a bit of a taste to it, but it was still edible. I'm not sure if they marinate it different. The popcorn chicken is good too! Nice and crispy but not very flavourful. Overall, I do recommend getting their beef noodles. I forgot to take a picture of the food was meeting a friend for lunch and we were chatting the whole time. I think quality of beef noodle is one of the best I had in Vancouver. I wish there was more protein but I guess for the price it's fair. We had the spicy beef noodle soup and this spicy fried chicken. Will need to update my review next time with pictures. We stopped by for lunch over the weekend. We were seated right away. Social distancing was in place. There was hand sanitizer at the door, contact information was collected for covid tracing purposes and staff wore masks. We ordered a number of items: beef shank noodle soup, popcorn chicken with rice combo, and steamed pork soup dumplings. Food arrived in reasonable time. Staff stopped by regularly to clear empty plates and refill tea. The food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my popcorn chicken. It was perfectly battered and fried nicely. I was pleasantly surprised that a half of a marinated egg was included and three side dishes in this combo. The veggies cut down the heaviness of the deep fried chicken. No complaints on the egg. I took a bite of the beef shank noodle soup and it was good as well. Noodles had a good chew. Beef was tender. The soup base had a hint of spicy heat. The soup dumplings were okay. I found the skin to be too thick for my liking. I was impressed the dipping sauce had ginger slices. This restaurant is a good option if you are craving some Taiwanese food. This Taiwanese Beef Noodle restaurant opened a new months ago and the fresh, newly renovated interior shows and gives a welcoming and nice feeling - nice booth seating for small and moderate groups. Uni Beef Noodle took over the old Nando's and is across from the Pricesmart in a mini complex with some free lot parking. The restaurant was quite full in the afternoon but we were greeted and seated within a few minutes. The menu offered plenty of choices from beef noodle soups, rice combos, appies, dim sum and drinks. Since it was our first time here, we ordered the traditional Beef Shank Noodle Soup and Beef Tendon Noodle Soup. You have the choice of noodle type: Thick, Thin, Ramen, Rice noodle or Vermicelli. It came in a timely 10 minutes or so, a big bowl of hot noodle soup. The Beef Shank slices were thick, tender and had a lot of flavour - 3 thick slices. The Beef Tendon were soft and a lovely jelly consistency. The Broth was very rich and flavourful with a mild kick of spice and not overly salty. We chose the Thick Noodles, they were chewy and great to pick up the soup but I wish they were even thicker to allow for even more chew. The extra ingredients in the bowl of pickled greens, cilantro, green onions and bok choy were fresh and a perfect accompanying taste. Overall, we were really happy with our meal and service was really friendly and efficient. I'd definitely come back to enjoy a bowl of beef noodle soup here! Plus they take credit cards. read more

-All Around Solid Beef Noodles- I've been staring at this empty unopened restaurant for what felt like years and it finally opened up. Has a pretty big Taiwanese-esque menu with your usual beef noodles, bubble tea and fried chicken with a few extra surprises on the menu. Beef brisket and tendon noodle - the deep bowl came with a decent amount of fresh thick noodles cooked to Al dente. There were 5 options of noodles and we settled on vermicelli and the thick noodles. There's a decent amount of cilantro, green onion, mustard greens and a dollop of mah lat spicy sauce on the side for you to mix. I didn't notice any numbing spice but what I did notice is that the chili sauce balanced pretty well in the soup. The beef was a thick cut and the tendons were cooked to a very soft texture. The spoon is comically larger than you would expect. I was hesitant but I didn't order their signature beef noodle as it was $19 with really thick steak like pieces....so maybe next time. I'm so glad to have found this Taiwanese noodle shop as many of my go-to's have since shut down due to COVID. I've had Uno Beef Noodle 4-5 times and the food has proven consistently great! I've tried the shank noodle, the steak noodles, popcorn chicken, bubble tea and more. I enjoy lots of flavors, and their food really hits the spot. No cleanliness issues, expect customer service to be just ok as most Asian restaurants and you'll be fine. There is usually a line-up here and you'll have to probably wait outside the restaurant but the line does move relatively fast. Uber'd: order the Spicy beef, tendon, and tripe noodle in soup, braised pork belly bao, and popcorn chicken. For delivery it was pretty good, the soup was not as hot as expected so boiled it again. The spicy noodles were quite good, noodles went with the thin style and was chewy as it should be. The soup wasn't that spicy, but more of a satay flavor, different. Good portions of beef, one big tendon and unfortunately I wish there was more tripe, but proportionally enough. I would order again. The braised pork belly bao...first time I've tried it anywhere so no real comparisons. You could tell the belly was braised for quite some time, very soft and easy to bite into with good flavor. Had preserved veggies and cilantro with just enough sauce. The Bao was nice...I was expecting soggy because of delivery, but it wasn't!! Popcorn chicken...my daughter enjoyed this...I'm not a big fan in general, but tried a couple of pieces and this does beat other places that serves it. This is an amazing place. We had the best Taiwanese beef noodle in North America tonight. We live in NY/NJ where we can get a lot of very good Chinese food. We have tried many different 台灣紅燒牛肉麵 in many different parts of America. By far this is one of the best we have had. We also ordered the Tiger noodle which is equally amazing. Uno Beef Noodle's management/owner needs to know that their waiting staffs (a female waitress) openly asked customer to add more tips when an appropriate amount of tips had already been given. Obviously, this waitress needs to be educated on the history of tipping, plus her service was average to say the least. I don't know what kind of customers this waitress serves before, but considering the restaurant's class & her service level, lucky she gets any tips. Remember! Tips is an option, NOT a requirement. Went to this place for lunch on a Sunday and it was packed. There were two of us and we waited almost an hour before getting a table. You can call in advance to make a reservation or walk in and line up using Gosnappy.io The restaurant is really small. On a Sunday, you'll find mostly families with children. The service was excellent from lining up to ordering to payment. They were very pleasant, kind, and helpful. We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, spicy beef and tendon soup and chicken skin. The beef was so tender and delicious! The layer of fat in between the meat was so soft and yummy. I had thick noodles and they were chewy just the way I like it. There was enough meat and wasn't too too spicy. The serving was very filling. The chicken skin was okay. I would have preferred it to be bite-sized. It was crispy but some parts are soft. It was delicious, very tasty and just enough saltiness which goes well with the soup. I would definitely come back and try their other dishes. My bf and I were both sick so there were limited options because a lot of items were spicy or fried. However, they do have a good variety of appetizers, soup and dry noodles, buns, rice combos, and bubble teas! The bubble teas were slightly pricey at around $5.75 (extra $0.75 for pearls). We ordered two soup noodles - the beef shank and fried popcorn chicken. It's nice that you can choose the type of noodles: thick, thin, vermicelli, and rice noodles. The noodles were around $13 each and portion was decent. The beef shank was tender and the soup was slightly spicy and sour from the preserved vegetables. Though my bf mentioned the beef itself could've had more flavour, but he enjoyed the flavour of the soup. The fried popcorn chicken soup noodle was surprisingly flavourful unlike some places where the clear broth is bland. The fried chicken was on the salty side, which complements well with the noodles. We wish there were larger pieces and more meat for the popcorn chicken though. Food is solid, but not spectacular or anything we would crave. The servers were also friendly and attentive. Our only complaint is that our server entered in the wrong amount for our bill and overcharged us. Instead of $26, she punched in $29 on the card machine so we ended up paying $7 tip.
