This is what was left in my bowl. The soup was delicious as was the steak.

First time here. Didn't know what to expect. I asked them what was good. They said everything. In the end they gave me 2 popular choices. I choose the steak noodle.

Not bad. Solid 4 stars. Parking in the back, albeit a little tight and limited since it's shared space. Attentive and nice servers. (Sn: The constant opening and closing of the door is a bit off putting sitting right by the entrance, but I'm not docking a star because of that) Just basing my rating on the food alone. We Ordered: XLB - pretty good. My mom thought they didn't have enough ginger in the vinegar (but personally it's a mute point for me since if the XLB is good enough I don't add ginger) I enjoyed them. Nice and soupy just the way I like them. Braised Beef noodle soup w/ Kuan noodle - great noodle and beef texture, broth could be a bit more flavourful, but honestly not bad. Popcorn chicken - it's lacking depth in seasoning, and a little overdone on the dark side of things, but pretty good otherwise. Overall, everything was pretty good, just not a solid 5 stars in my books.

A place close to the airport! Had this prior to leaving Vancouver and left with a full belly and yummy note! Heard from my family who lives here in Vancouver that this place was good and usually very busy. Came around 4pm on a Friday and there was a lot seating. Food came quick and which was great so we didn't have to worry about not having enough time to head to the airport. Love their noodle soups! Portion size was huge! Ordered the beef shank noodle soup with ramen and there was like 4-5 beef shanks that were huge! They definitely do not skimp on their meat and it was so tender! Broth was perfect on a cloudy rainy day with a bit of a spicy kick!

These yelp reviews bamboozled me into coming here... I'm Taiwanese and I looove beef noodle soup so I obviously had to come up and check this place out. The broth was like straight up water. I was the first to get seated that morning so maybe the broth wasn't fully prepared yet? But I'm so glad I only got one to try out with my partner. The beef was tender though so at least there's that! I also ordered the pork chop and there was zero crisp. The beef pancakes were okay though! Maybe it was an off day but I'm scarred. Honestly I was so sad I had to call my mom up and request her to make her beef noodle soup when I go back to visit next.

A Truly Exceptional Beef Noodle Soup Experience! I'm pretty sure this is one of the best beef noodle soups (BNS) I've ever had, and the fact that you can customize it makes it even better! You won't find any condiments on the table, and honestly, you don't need them. While a little chili satay might be nice, it's definitely not required. I ordered the BNS with just tendon and thick noodles. The portion is huge; I couldn't finish it all and happily took the rest home, along with some stinky tofu. The broth has incredible depth, and to this day, I can confidently say this place is totally worth it and truly memorable.

Recommended by a friend and will pay it forward to recommend this place. It has a little something for everyone. We got several dishes and shared. Portions were generous and everything had good flavoring. Restaurant is smaller but plus side is there parking; both lot and street. The servers were all very attentive and helpful. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Ohhhh my goshhhhhh - the noodles here are SOOO GOOOOD. My sister and I came before the night market. There is a parking lot which is super convenient. I got the beef noodle and my sister got the chicken noodle that also came with popcorn chicken. We both got the wide noodle. SOO GOOD- love the textures. Broth was super super tasty as well. Their beef basically melts in your mouth. Service was super quick and friendly. They give you hot tea which is super nice with the whole meal. Casual spot for a quick bite, nice and clean inside. Can get pretty busy but queue goes by quick. Wish we had this in Seattle!

Great food and fast service! The chicken cutlet is tender and juicy, and the spicy stinky tofu has a perfect pickled veggie topping. Plus, there's easy parking in the back.

Found this on yelp near our hotel. Restaurant has a small parking lot in the back. There's also street parking in the front of the restaurant. Ordered A12 Beef, Tendon, and Tripe noodle soup ($18.45) with thick noodles and side appetizer of fried calamari tentacles. The noodles soup is delicious and has the right amount of flavors. Noodles have a nice chewy texture. Beef, tendon and tripe were very tender and soft. Fried calamari was crispy and delicious also! It came with a sweet dipping sauce. I would highly recommend this place. I wished I order more appetizers but I was so full from the beef noodles soup. Will be back if I am visiting this area in the future.

Great yummy beef noodles but the Broth was kinda oily ! Great service on the staff that kept us in check. Would go back just for regular noodles

First restaurant we ate in Vancouver and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. The service was fast and nice. The ambiance was nice. There is a bit of a wait because the restaurant is small. The spicy stinky tofu soup was delicious. It wasn't too stinky and the intestines in it was a great add on. We also had the beef roll which is a must try appetizer. Definitely a must go to in Canada.

Ordered the following: - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - Fried Chicken Wait was about 15 min for Friday dinner for a table of 5. Not the best that I've had since I recently visited Taiwan, but pretty good beef noodle soup otherwise! Service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Omg do yourself a favor and eat here!!! First visit today and it has become my FAVORITE beef noodle soup. The soup flavor profile and high quality meat makes this the best - add the giant portions making it great value and the complimentary osmanthus oolong tea makes me so very happy!! The noodles were perfectly cooked - there are 5 choices for types of noodles. We chose the thick noodles and they were the perfect springiness for the soup. Service is friendly and prompt. No reservations but they have waitlist to add yourself while on route. It's busy so there might be a wait - glad they have benches outside. Ambiance is modern casual, bright inside.

Our group ordered so many delicious items, and some standouts were: Shrimp Har Gao: These were crisp and tasty, with a skin that was the appropriate thickness - and of course had enough slip to it. Yum! Pork Shu Mai: These ingredients were tip top! I'm not a fan of pork, but I enjoyed this one... whatever they marinated it in was amazing. Stuffed Eggplant: Tasty, too! I love eggplant, especially the stuffed ones. The sauce paired very well and was simply satisfying. Mushroom Noodles: This was honestly a hot mess and hot miss. It tasted very bland like airplane food... highly recommend not ordering this! Cheung Fun - The rice noodle was crisp and very satisfying. Whether an oil stick or protein, highly recommend this one. Portion sizes and price point felt standard for Richmond. I thought it was cute that they also put the teapots on a candle stand to keep it warm. We booked a reservation for 12:45pm, but because of the overwhelming weekend rush, we were not sat until 1:30pm. I understand that the restaurant was quite busy, but it certainly made the experience a little less enjoyable. There were also lots of people waiting in the area and the hostess found it hard to identify which groups were waiting and which had already checked in. I'm not sure if I'd return as there are so many other great dimsum places in Richmond that may not cost as much of a wait.

Absolutely positively amazing dim sum…read more * * * Vancouver and Richmond have so many extraordinary dim sum restaurants that the various "Best Of" Lists identify a huge number of potential "Best Dim Sum in Vancouver" candidates. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Dim Sum in Vancouver is simply on a higher level. * * * The largest concentration of utterly amazing places are in Richmond rather than Vancouver itself ... Although Vancouver has hundreds and hundreds of places to die for. So to say Richmond offers better choices than Vancouver is something you have to experience yourself to understand. Just go to Richmond and walk in anywhere. We have done a lot of that in past trips and we did a lot of that this trip. It is food orgasm every time. * * * Chef Tony's shows up on a lot of Best of Vancouver lists as do many many other places. If this place were in my home city, Austin, or even in San Francisco, there would be lines out the door. It is a smallish place with an overwhelmingly Chinese older clientele. When we were there, the World Cup Final was on with Spain playing Argentina. Half the tables - generally men - were watching. The elderly ladies at the other tables had their back to the TV and were continuing their conversation. * * * This is an order by menu place rather than take your chances on the carts. Given Chef Tony's small size, there would be unacceptable wastage on a rotating cart system. Frankly, Chef Tony's turned me into a convert on the order-exactly-what-you-want system. You can add noodles or rice, and we went with fried rice. There are also optional add on sauces: truffle or salted egg yolk. The rice was so good and was a very generous portion. The lobster was also cooked perfectly. We also got a scallop, morel, asparagus stir fry, which was a nice and light dish, also generously portioned. A must-try when visiting Vancouver!…read more HK BBQ Master is definitely one of the most popular spots for Hong Kong-style BBQ in Richmond. We arrived before opening and there was already a long line! Whether it's dine-in or takeout, the place was packed with people. The dining area is relatively small, so seating can be limited, but the BBQ is absolutely worth the wait. The roast duck and BBQ pork were both incredibly delicious! The roast duck was flavorful and juicy, while the BBQ pork was tender, savory, and perfectly seasoned. Both were so good with rice and seriously addictive, the kind of food that makes you want an extra bowl of rice! Now I totally understand why this place is so popular. If you're visiting Vancouver and love Hong Kong-style BBQ, definitely put HK BBQ Master on your food list!

HK BBQ Master - name checks out…read more Our group arrived on a weekend night, and the wait was ~ 15 minutes. While there was about an hour left in the day, the duck was sold out... kind of. So, our group ended up ordering the BBQ pork, and roast pork. Everything tasted great, and there is also extra sauce for rice, if desired. One thing to note that are standard at some good spots is that service might be rude, and our hostess and servers were no different. On the topic of "kind of" sold out duck... we later learned after being sat that there was suddenly duck available... but there was no way to order this. Outside of the BBQ meat, we also had soup, and it was very tasty - the pull-apart pork especially. One unforgettable part of the evening was that the servers gave our group attitude for not ordering one full meal per person at the table. Even judging by pictures, the size of one meal is quite large, enough to comfortably feed two. (We saw several parties walk out with takeaways...) Perhaps this is why they kept giving our table attitude, though.
