When your movers came I told them I didn't need them to pack anything just move what was packed. They came in and did the total opposite started packing things that I didn't want packed. I moved all my boxes to the living room for them to make it easier for them. They started loading my things on the truck before they said it would take longer so at that point it was impossible to decline. When I spoke with you on yelp I told you exactly what I needed done but obviously you didn't communicate with your workers. Soon as they saw the stairs they were discouraged. They literally took their time to make moving a 2 br apartment 3 miles away an 8 hour job. When it was time to unload I told them to put everything in my dining room and put the couch in the living room. They put everything in the living room and set my couch up in the dining room. Maybe that's why you guys ASSUMED I didn't know they spoke English. You told me it would be a 3 man crew but only 2 people worked. I literally communicated with the all of them so I most definitely knew they understood a little English and one guy used translate on his phone. The guy who was late who didn't work at all spoke perfect English as well. I didn't run anywhere I walked away, and if I was $300 short why didn't you try to contact me until I left the bad review. They also damaged my couch and a dresser I posted those pics as well. If I have a bad experience you leave a bad review that's what yelp is for. Jacob and his team were absolutely perfect. They were kind, quick, and efficient. It was a little awkward watching people move our things without helping, but being pregnant and unable to lift much, plus only having my husband to do the rest, movers were definitely the best choice for us. The move was about 15 mins, from downtown San Jose to north San Jose on 07/01. The first having an elevator, and the second with stairs. They took the time to wrap and protect everything very well. We moved a handful of things ourselves that were high risk (just laptops, headphones) but nothing unreasonable. We wanted to know the exact cost instead of a range, and Jacob was able to provide that. I always recommend getting multiple quotes, and never going with the lowest, or you won't get the care necessary to protect your belongings. We were looking forward to working with them again in the future, but our new apartment is so unbearable we're already moving again on Thursday, 07/07. This was the first time I ever hired movers. I tend to be very controlling when it comes to packing and moving so I like to take care of it myself. However, the movers with Jacob included made me feel very taken care of. They were attentive and made me feel heard. Not only were their rates better than any other moving company I looked into they were so quick. I wasn't worried about them taking their time to be able to run the clock. These guys did an amazing job just a few days after New Year's. They communicate well, were prompt, and had great attitudes. We had three young fellas for about 4 hours. They carried all of our furniture up a third floor walk up with a narrow staircase and when our couch absolutely wouldn't fit, they wrapped it in blankets, tied it up with ropes, and hoisted it up our back balcony to get it in the house. I cannot say enough great things about Jacob and his company! I was always one of those stubborn people that NEVER used movers, but his company made me realize the error of my ways. Jacob responded to all my questions in a timely manner. He was polite and explained how everything would work. We hired three people when we were moving out of our three bedroom townhouse. They arrived on time, did a quick survey of the area and asked some basic questions so they'd know their plan of attack. After about 2 minutes, off they went! My husband and I boxed a lot of our stuff the day before and they strategically placed all our crap in the truck within 3 hours. It was UNBELIEVABLE...to the point where we started feeling a bit guilty since they just worked non-stop for several hours. They bring their own lunch and they didn't seem to want to take a break, but we insisted they stop to enjoy some pizza on us. I HATE moving, and I hope it's awhile since I have to again. When that day inevitably comes, I know I'll reach out to Jacob. As tech workers that have a wholeeeee lotta electronics...plus we had so much baby stuff....and my husband and I kind of became hoarders during the pandemic...we were pretty embarrassed with all the things we accumulated. But these guys were professional, efficient, and just all around awesome. The whole move took around 7 hours and was very reasonably priced. Also just to add to the picture, they moved things out of our three story townhouse to ANOTHER three story townhouse. I've heard of some horror stories about other companies, but Jacob's crew was just wonderful. Do yourself a favor and hire him. There were no hidden and/or extra costs like you'd hear about from other companies. They didn't charge extra for stairs, walking far, etc. Nothing was damaged. He didn't pressure you to tip and everyone was polite, friendly, and hardworking. Wow! I decided to move today! Due to the fact that my home was infested with squatters when I returned from a medical break out of town. these guys were here within a few hours. I wasn't prepared at all to move and they showed up with boxes and I was packed and out of there within two hours. This included a washer and a dryer. All I had to do is point at what I wanted and they were smooth they didn't break a sweat they smiled the entire time kept their mouth shut and just got to work. There were two guys. They were very strong very organized and every time I turned around there was an empty box waiting for me and while I was throwing my things in boxes they were loading up my garage. they kept an eye on me the entire time so as to keep the momentum flowing. A business that truly lives up to its name! I could not be happier with the service I received by this young company that is eager to please. Jacob , owner , and his associate, Tony, were profesaional, efficient and more reaponsive than I expected. From them being the first to respond to my ad (20 minutes) to providing service with less than 24-hour notice I find nothing to criticize them for. From a two man crew that called to ask permission to arrive 10 minutes early because they were ahead of traffic to they listened to me, did exactly as asked made it all happen in time. They finiahed the planned move 20 minute ahead of the alloted time. Then, I surprised them with a last minute request to disassemble a bed and sectional couch to move it from my new location to the storage place we had just left. They checked their schedules said they xould fit it in before their afternoon job and went to work. They had the items broken down and on their truck in less than 30 minutes. In one additional hour over their original estimate they waved goodbye. Jacob also took the time to explain that moving the treadmill to another room was not advisable for just the two of them because a third man was need to avoid damaging the gear.
