We stopped in for breakfast. This is obviously a very popular spot, because it was busy. They have a smaller, indoor dining room, but they also have outdoor dining as well. Everyone was friendly. My partner had the cheese omelette with rye toast. The omelette did not come with potatoes, but she did not mind at all. She liked the omelette very much, and she said that the rye bread was fabulous! She gave me a small piece, and I agree. It was delicious! I had the breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. It also came with salsa and sour cream on the side. The salsa was very good, it had just a tiny "zip" to hit. They were a great addition to the burrito. The only thing, I would say about the burrito, was that the tortilla was not heated at all. It was like they took the tortilla out of the wrapper, and just put it around the food. It was a little disappointing, but overall it was still very good. My friend had Earl Gray tea, and I had coffee, which was delicious. Plus, they kept my cup full. She said that they used a good brand tea Prices were very reasonable. One thing about the place, because it is so popular, when they get busy, it is best to have patience. From the time we walked into the time we got our food it was almost a half an hour. It wasn't bad, we just visited amongst ourselves. Also, my partner kept admiring all of the beautiful photographs on the wall. It's a nice space. It was an okay place. It sucks that they are not open all day. Took a long time to sit us . We got there and we told we needed a reservation , even though place was empty the entire time we were there. People started coming in without being asked if they had reservation (they only asked us). Maybe they're locals and go there a lot, but if that's policy, it's should apply to everyone, but whatever. Decent breakfast - basic options for good prices in a no frills diner atmosphere. The staff and service are great and we applaud the management for assembling a great team. Pleasant little place for breakfast in Wilmington. We ate outside and were surprised by a sign on chalkboard inviting us to grab a coffee and menu. They have WiFi. It felt like we were welcomed old friends. Food was good. If you want to be treated like royalty, find a stuffy, overpriced place to eat in Lake Placid. I have to admit to being grumpy when I arrived at this restaurant. However, for a busy Black Friday weekend where most things were closed, we arrived to a busy but accommodating restaurant. There were 9 people in total in our party including 4 kids. Our orders ranged from the tuna melt, burger, shrimp basket, sandwich of the day, and some others. The sweet potato fries were fried to perfection. Everything tasted good and although it took awhile to get our orders, it was worth the wait. read more

I stopped here with my sister and her family. All of the workers just stared at us when we walked in. We waited an extremely long time for a couple of sandwiches, and the tiny restaurant only had eight other customers who already had their food. Food is terrible. The place is cute and located on the side of the road with a gift shop attached. The server was friendly and for those 2 reason they get a star and I can't give less then 1 star. I do think atmosphere is important but the most crucial part of going out to eat is the eating part. The food was horrible. I hate to say that but it is true. The biscuit and gravy was canned gravy and my husband swears it was an English muffin But it was just a hard biscuit. The eggs appeared to be pre-packaged like A fast food place would get for their breakfast sandwiches it was round and ugh, a few of us ordered the eggs scrambled with cheese, which was a round bunch of pre cooked eggs and a slice of cheddar cheese barely melted microwaved on top. I mean they could have broken up the egg to make it seem like they were fresh. The absolute worst part of everyone's breakfast were the inedible hash browns they were practically raw and you could not even put a fork in them. I called the waitress over to tell her we did not want to wait for them to cook them because they were soo under cooked it would have taken a while and food was barely hot as it was. She offered to substitute but we declined so she comped our coffees and hot cocoa. I do not recommend this place unless that get a new cook and some fresh ingredients. Visiting from New Jersey, after our first night, my boyfriend and me ate there. I had a veggie-cauliflower​ sandwich. It was delicious, with raisins, garlic, and French dressing. The employees are just as nice as they can be. I had questions about area, and we're helpful. An older woman told me about a wildlife refuge around the corner, that had an event. I'm an animal lover, so I was happy to go!! I highly recommend going there if it's first time visiting this area, nice friendly locals! read more

We loved this place! We had breakfast 4 days here during the Presidents' Day weekend before hitting the mountain. The decor was outdoorsy which we love. They had a great gift shop to browse while we waited for our food. Breakfast was delicious every day. Nadine was so friendly and helpful and let us know about the wildlife rescue in the area- which was great to see! She even took a liking to our special needs son, which melted my heart! We were on our way to Whiteface Mountain and decided to stop for lunch. I have to say we are very happy we did! The service was EXCELLENT as the owner and waiters were super friendly. The menu was well priced and had something for everyone. I was with a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their food. Portions were not huge but were enough to fill you. Very pleased with this gem!
