Every time I come here, everything is AMAZING. Atmosphere, service and food. The best!

If you want to get away from it all and have good food and relax and recharge...this is your place. Amazing little restaurant in a quiet little place in the ADK. Gotta call for reservations. Food was great and service was wonderful. Have been here a few times and surprised I have left a review before. On a side note, they do have rooms that you can rent and can be found on AirBnB.

First visit so we only tried a few things. Service was tip-top and the Inn is both lovely inside and out. Plenty of parking. We both ordered the pork schnitzel. I've never had schnitzel that crunchy. Wasn't bad - just different. I wouldn't order it again. The apple slaw was also different, too different, and like another reviewer I would have preferred the potato salad to be warm. Brussels sprouts were fine. Also, really surprised the meals were delivered in about 5 minutes. How? We ordered a bread pudding to go. Also different enough that I wouldn't order it again. I'd try the Inn again, but different dishes, in the hope that we just had an odd experience.

This is a fabulous spot. Their hours are perfect, and the music they play gives a very upbeat yet relaxed feel. Service is fast and friendly, and the food is so good. It's amazing that this is an option in Upper Jay, NY.

A friend and I stayed at the Ice Jam for a night before heading up to a retreat on Saranac Lake. It's adorable. We booked a room with two twin beds which was perfect. I love that this is an option. The beds were pretty old and not the most comfortable, they could absolutely use an update. I was a little worried about the shared bathroom but it ended up being fine. We ate in the restaurant and my only real wish is that the menu had more options - the food was delicious! The tables and chairs were a bit shabby and didn't fit the mountain inn vibe but that's ok. The only real downside is that because this is booked via AirBnb, it's very hands off. Check yourself in with a code, keys in the doors and you take it when you arrive, etc. Totally fine, but this place is so cute, a more Inn feel would be great! Would absolutely stay here again, rates were super reasonable and it's in a great area.

Great food but they don't want to seat you. The last two times I was told they are not seating. Won't be told that a third time.

Well, I had the mussels. I was disappointed. Lacked any flavor. But the rest of the party had wonderful meals. Nice quaint dining area.

The fish and chips are incredible!! The homemade tartar sauce is the best I've ever had. Ice Jam is such a fantastic addition to the area.

We were in the mood for lunch and they were only serving breakfast that Sunday. So, we opted for the most lunch-ish thing available that wasn't too heavy. Bagels and cream cheese. They were perfectly toasted and there was plenty of spreadable cream cheese. It made for a perfect light lunch. I don't eat eggs, so it did limit my options. If you do eat eggs, their breakfast dishes with eggs look amazing. Of course, we tried the coffee. It was very good and we loved the mugs. The place is rustic-charming. The service was good. It's a busy place. We loved the regulars who stopped in and didn't even need to say what they wanted. The servers already knew. The service is good but slow. Not sure if that's because they were busy or if they're just not the type to rush things. The bathrooms are clean. There is an up-charge for credit cards. It's hard to resist buying mugs and coffee to take home. The cookies were so hard to resist we bought some to keep us snack-happy on our travels. Definitely a good place to stop.

After going…read moreover the menu options we went with three kids meals, the Tacos Al Pastor, and the Chicken Quesadilla. Our server was Rylan, who was absolutely fantastic! He was polite, extremely personable, and gave a great recommendation to me on the quesadilla, which turned out to be spot on and was DELICIOUS! I couldn't stop saying how good it was. I also got a flight of 5 beers, which themselves were each unique and enjoyable. Overall we didn't expect much going to a Mexican themed restaurant at a brewery, but we left very impressed and happy we gave it a go. Thanks to Rylan and the kitchen, we had a great experience and would highly recommend giving them a try if in the area. Also I'd note that it was almost empty (A Sunday) when we arrived at almost 5:30, but by the time we left there wasn't an empty seat in the place. So it seems they got a good thing going here

Qué pasó? Big Slide…read moreused to be one of the best spots in Lake Placid to eat. Pub fare, but done really, really well. The switch to Mexican cuisine is puzzling and seems to be filing a market no one was asking for. The good news... it was incredibly easy to get a table on a Saturday evening, when you used to have to wait 30-45 minutes. The staple of any good Mexican restaurant? Chips and salsa to start. It seemed as though they dug in the bottom of the pantry and pulled out a bag from nine months ago to get us started. Fortunately, it was paired with some extremely mediocre salsa from a jar. What a perfect combination to not overdo it before your meal comes! Speaking of that meal, they quickly dropped some cool to maybe luke warm, far from authentic Mexican cuisine on our table. If you like your rice al dente and crunchy, put in an extra order. They might even remember to bring it to you. Thankfully they forgot ours and took it off the bill. The only hope is that they can pivot out of this as quickly as they changed into it. The lack of any Mexican flare beyond a few star decorations hanging from the ceiling should help with that. Otherwise, I can't see this place surviving. The beer was so-so at best, which was evidenced by the four people sitting at the bar during a World Cup quarterfinal match. The second star was earned by our friendly and understanding server when we expressed our concerns. I'm sure this change is taking money out of his pocket, which truly sucks for him. Please... give us the old Big Slide back.
