As an east coast native, I came in with low expectations for a southwestern pizza joint. I tried the BBQ chicken pizza. The peppers and crust were very good, while the chicken was a bit sparse. Unfortunately the BBQ sauce overpowered the other toppings. It was also a bit pricey at $22 for a large pie. Overall it was an okay meal, but nothing special. read more

We ordered a pizza for delivery with high expectations as they were recommended by a coworker. Sadly, while the pizza was really good, the customer service was horrible. The guy on the phone seem offended when I asked about the bill. I understood once he explained it to me, but the attitude was unnecessary. The delivery man was even worse. Upon attempting to give him a $2 tip, he flat out refused it. He stated "it's not worth a $2 tip to have to pay the tax on it". He proceeded to exit and told other coworkers that we were "cheap f**ks!" The pizza, however, was delicious. We would probably just pick up the pizza next time to avoid having to deal with ungrateful delivery staff. Hopefully the staff there are more pleasant. read more

I was planning to go for Mexican when the family visited Santa Fe for the day, but passing by this place right after our visit to the capital building got the kids thinking about pizza. In the end, I was glad we stopped here. It's not a fancy place... you order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and my wife got the smoked salmon salad. The pizza was tasty with a thin crust and spicy sausage and my wife said the salad was quite good. I have ordered pizza from here many times in the past and done okay but tonight was the exception. I called in an order that was supposed to be delivered at 5pm. While I was ordering I repeated my phone number to guy on the phone at least 5 times and he still managed to get it wrong. When the driver showed up with the pizzas he was supposed to call me but he had the wrong phone number. When I called back to find out where the pizzas were the guy on the phone was pretty condescending about telling me they had the wrong phone number and that the driver had already left. He explained how I had made his driver run late, but "graciously' made the driver turn around and come back.When the driver came back he was obviously ticked off and very roughly handed the pizzas to me. NEWS FLASH GUYS - IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU GUYS GOT MY NUMBER WRONG!!! Pizzas were also cold. I have been to this place many times before but I will not be going back any time soon. read more

Eldorado location. Very good but over priced pizza.

First, I get that it's counter service, but prompting for a tip prior to having done anything except stand there and take an order is presumptuous. Especially since I did all the work up to that point, and most of the work after that. They took my order, filled my drink, and brought my food. That's it. Getting past that, there are relatively few tables for groups larger than 2. The "salad" that came with the calzone was put into a bowl earlier in the day, placed as close as possible onto a pizza try with many other salads, and those tray/salad arrangements stacked in a fridge; nothing to keep the salad fresh other than being in a fridge with a pizza tray over it, and nothing keeping the salad from immediate contact with the underside of the pizza tray. I only assume they built this short tower of salads in the fridge, as opposed to placing the trays on a counter, putting salads on trays, then stacking. Anyway, the food was meh, at best. If you've ever been to the Midwest and had a pizza from Casey's general store/gas stations, its like that pizza but with Little Caesars pizza sauce. The calzone was about the size of a hot pocket. And about as good. It was store made crust, so I know it was not a hot pocket, but just as bland. There is nothing remarkable about any of the food. And the service amounted to less service than you get at a below average Chick-fil-a. And I've never tipped at a CFA. read more

Cold, mediocre pizza. That's what I got when I made the mistake of ordering from Upper Crust. Having just moved from New York City, I am desperate for a decent pie. I called and placed my order and was told "30 to 45 minutes" for delivery. An hour and twenty minutes later my pizza arrived stone cold. The pizza is okay--not good, not great--just okay and until they get the fundamentals of running a pizza place down, like delivery 101, I will continue looking elsewhere for a decent slice of pizza. Do yourself a favor and move on to the next place. I've traveled all over the world and had good pizza and bad pizza--I get that there's 'no taste like home'--but this was really disappointing. These guys just don't get it. They crust is heavy and tasteless, the sauce had might as well be ketchup, and to charge $25 for delivery a stone cold, 'large' pie that is, culinarily speaking, at the level of Domino's is pathetic. Go somewhere else. If this is the best pizza in Santa Fe, then Santa Fe does not know good pizza. I ordered a calzone with pepperoni and black olives. What I received was green olives. I saw the ticket and the ticket definitely said black olives. He offered to remake it . I was hungry so I kept it. The worst food combination I've tasted in a long while. My friend who ordered before me still hasn't gotten her food. I check on it. It was never sent. An hour later she finally gets her food. They brought us a complementary slice if cheesecake for the trouble. The cheesecake was good ( hence the 2 stars and not one star) but the marinara sauce was too clogged up with garlic. The pizza was ok although a bit pricey. My main problem was we were in a hotel and ordered for delivery on a below freezing evening. The hotel entrance is open but there is an additional door inside that requires a key to get to the rooms section. The driver called and I had to go outside in the cold after 10pm to his car to get the pizza. He didn't even get out of the car, just rolled down his passenger window. After spending $45 on 1 small and 1 large pizza, I felt he could have at least brought it into the first entrance that is kept warm. read more

Good Pizza Spoiled by Poor Delivery Service. I ordered delivery through their website which was all fairly easy. After about thirty minutes, I receive a call from the delivery person saying he can't find my address sounding agitated. When he relayed the address, I told him calmly he had read the address wrong, to which he replied, "No, that's not the address I have down here and oh you're right." But continued with the attitude stating they don't deliver to my area. So I listened while he blew off steam about having to drive to where I am (10 minutes away from their location, heaven forbid). I went outside so that the delivery driver would have an easier time of finding my address (even though he said he had a GPS, and was already on my road, I was, quite frankly, a little concerned with his navigational abilities). Upon arriving, he again told me that they would not deliver to my area in the future (this is of course, after receiving a 20% tip for his trouble in addition to the delivery fee). The pizza itself (the upper crust combo pizza) was tasty, slightly spicy, and as many have noted, had a delicious crust. They are generous with their toppings and were it not for the attitude from their delivery person, I would recommend it. read more

Totally disappointed with this (overpriced) pizza. It was delivered in a cold, soggy box and the pizza was also cold and soggy.
