This was some of the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was thin and perfect and the toppings were a great combination. We ordered ahead and ate at a local park and the service was quick and efficient. I only gave it a 4 though because I thought it was slightly on the expensive side for pizza .... BUT worth it because I'm not from Boston and enjoyed every slice.

Stopped by on our trek of the Freedom Trail hungry after hours of walking. We wanted something quick before we headed for the pastry shoppes and this placed smelled amazing from a block away. Service was quick for a single slice and the pizza itself was good but not great. The pizza did have a bit of a weird aftertaste after eating it about half way. The inside is simple and fine as long as it's not too busy otherwise they would likely run out of seating.

For Boston pizza, this place was very solid! I'm always looking for options for a good slice and I would put Upper Crust in my rotation. However, if you're looking for the best option in the Beacon Hill area, go to Florina instead. My friend and I ended up camping out at the counter area for a bit, but they had regular tables as well. The service was fast, which I very much appreciated. This also seems like the perfect place to grab some pizza and take it to the Boston Commons. No complaints from me!

I just have to start off this review by saying, crush red peppers should AUTOMATICALLY be given on the side when ordering a whole pizza. Especially when it's two whole pizza lol this would have been a 5 Star review because the crush red peppers is crucial on a very very good pizza... FOOD : The figs, goat cheese, and prosciutto pizza is a must get. The sweet onions on it makes it so good. Highly recommend it! The Buffalo chicken was also good but the Buffalo sauce can be a little spicy for some. A little extra blue cheese or ranch will make it good. Overall, got to love upper crust. But please start providing crush red peppers!!

We ordered the Harvard Street pizza and it was delicious. We split a small between 3 people and it was more than enough. Great prices and good pizza. Their cheese bread was also large and big enough for 3-4 people to share. Highly recommend. Casual local spot.

We were visiting the area for a wedding and had walked around the common for a bit. This was super close. They had a lot of neat offerings but we stuck with a small classic pepperoni. The pizza was perfect.

Loved their vegan pizza! I went to an event that had several pizzas delivered from here, and was very happy with the vegan option. The crust is super super thin and a little crunchy at the edges, which I loved. Would recommend.

If you love thin crust pizza this is your place. The pizza was amazing, but the fried mozzarella was okay at best. There is a place to sit though it's limited. Service was fast despite the July 4th rush hour!

Stopped in for a quick bite. There's a pretty good ratio of pepperoni to pizza, but it's very flimsy. Has a similar taste to a frozen pizza. Personally just not a big fan.

The service was good. Staff clean tables Often. We got the pepperoni, the Fenway , steak bomb Calzone and buffalo wings. The pizza was delicious. The wings were crispy. The calzone was to cheesy

When in Boston, on Beacon Hill, and craving pizza, this is the place! Mostly take out. Limited seating. Wonderful selection, crispy thin crust, yum!

I truly like the pizza but there wasn't much room for patrons. There was maybe a total of 3 tables and two bar areas for maybe 3-5 people. Very small location BUT the food was definitely great

I kept coming across this place for vegan pizza and decided to finally try it. I can't figure out what everyone is ranting and raving about. 1. Expensive like most have noted but I was okay with that if the quality matched. It didn't. 2. The pizza dough was raw on the bottom. When I picked the slice up, it flapped all over the place and when I bit it, the bottom was soggy and disgusting. Literally inedible. Had to throw the whole thing away. Complete waste of money.

As tables became available, they would call people inside. I ended up at a small table by the bar area. I ordered a small chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent and perfectly cooked as promised. The flavor combination was great: prosciutto, chicken, spinach, ricotta, roasted peppers, sauce, and mozzarella. So big I couldn't finish it. (Hubby was happy because he got to try something too when I got back.) In terms of service, it's the north end so a little brusque, but you'll be happy you came.

1 star First off,…read morethe pizza we received was super oily and I had to use about 10 napkins to make it edible. We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

When we could get her attention she was incredibly polite and professional but she could only do so much. After we ordered it too over 20 minutes for a proscutto cotto sandwich and two Margherita pizzas to come out. She was kind enough to ask them to add an egg to the sandwich which is usually added to a pizza. The sandwich was basically a fancy ham sandwich which was still pretty good. The egg elevated it in my opinion. The pizzas were also good, chewy dough, fresh ingredients, and not too charred. Then we looked for her to get the check. It took another 20 minutes before we could leave. The process just took too long.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
