Twice now UPS in Van Nuys has claimed my package was delivered when in fact it was not. We have a Ring camera at our front door which confirms the deliveries were not made and also there were no thieves stealing anything from our porch. The first time this occurred I found the package at a neighbor's house. Currently I have another package they claim to have delivered but goodness knows where it is. Their customer service is lousy-website basically tells you you need to notify the vendor. read more

Needs to be a self service because the level on in competence is really high . First ups driver couldn't read address do package was held . Then I opted for it to go to this center because I don't want to loose the package . Package gets to the facility and I head over 3 people online before me turns out they've been helped and looking for their packages . Guy at the counter helps me with mine and he's off to go look for my package as well . Half hour later comes back one at a time and tells everyone one of us they can't find the packages . Absolutely horrible. First day the driver could not find my son's address. I called them they said issue was resolved. Manny at the Van Nuys location told a supervisor it was taken care of and delivery was guaranteed the next day. Next day, nothing. Call to customer service again. Van Nuys location contacted again. Angie from Van Nuys location said that the driver with 10 years of experience says the address that my son lives at does not exist. Call the next day to customer service again. They said that Carlos at Van Nuys location had my package in hand and they would hold for my son to pickup. The next day tracking said package was returned so another call to customer service. They said that the package was in the lobby at Van Nuys location and it had not been returned. They said again they were holding it for him to pickup today and Moses would have it. My son went today and package had been returned to sender, despite me calling daily. I made frequent requests throughout this ordeal for them to call my son, whose number they had, so he could give them directions to his house and they refused. I have never had such poor service from UPS. From other reviews this is a chronic problem at this location. UPS corporate, shape them up! read more

I had to go there lat Saturday to pick up a package for my job. If the UPS drivers respected the business hours, I would not have had to go through the annoying time of driving down there and waiting. I walk in and first thing I see is an employee throw a mask at someone who wasn't wearing one, I understand masks are important but at least hand it to the person. As he walks away he steps on a roach and shakes it off his shoe leaving the squished bug on the floor. Another employee yells: "aright too many people in here, you three go stand outside!" We walk out and stand outside and 20 seconds later she comes out and yells to the guy in front of me, "back up you are letting the hot air in!". Once I finally make it into the lobby I see an employee telling someone that they don't have a clue where the package is even though it says it should be in the back room but with no apologetic tone at all just more as a matter of fact. Pizza guy shows up, an employee is on the middle of helping a customer out totally just disengages the customer midsentence and yells "hey Tony, your pizza is here come and get it!!!!" It's a miracle I made it out with my packages but customer service might be worst I've seen, it is almost funny if it weren't so unprofessional. The guy left 20 mins ago to see if the truck was here with my package on it and still hasn't returned. There are other customers waiting as well. The driver kept saying he dropped the package on the front door, which was a complete lie, I was home waiting for the package and they never knocked on my door, I asked the manager if she received the package and she said nobody from ups came at the time the driver was claiming. UPDATE: Gina falsely noted in their system that she spoke to me and resolved the situation (without knowing that a supervisor had guaranteed to follow up with me on being contacted by the center.) If I could give zero stars, I would. We have a company that receives and sends packages on a daily basis and is a huge part of our business services. Myself and co-workers have called in SEVERAL times over the past two weeks to notify UPS that our business is open and waiting on dozens of packages. We kept being assured that our address was correct in their system and that we would receive our deliveries. Today, Gina, who works at this specific customer center- told a supervisor I was on the phone with that "the packages are locked in a trailer and they don't have access." Problem is, we have several deliveries all with different dates that keep being added to this trailer- despite our requests for the packages. If you can get them into this trailer, why cam't you get them out of the trailer?! We have thousands of dollars worth of deliveries pending- that Gina and her staff have completely neglected. I will be filing a formal complaint with UPS, and requesting that any and all vendors, customers, etc. to request shipping through FedEx, etc. versus continuing our business with UPS. read more

I receive parcels weekly and I'm honestly amazed UPS can remain in business with their poor customer service and the fact they could care less if they deliver on time. I almost never have any problems with Fed Ex and if I do they take care of it right away unlike UPS I know been waiting several days for a parcel that I had sent express. Ok, so i knew this customer center was here in van nuys necause i used to work nearby, but i never really had to come here. UPS has so many different locations that coming here was not really an issue until today. In the middle of moving, i was using a mailbox business to transfer mail and i had a package shipped to them. However, the oackage needed a a8gnature and was put a hold for a week. I didnt realize until yesterday and set have my pacakage held for pickup. I emailed customer service and they told me to pick it up here. They also told me my ID had to match the address. Well my id matches my old home address, but luckily they accepeted the business card of the mailbox place and i was home free. The customer service is 4 stars but it gets a 3 because this extra hassle was a little annoying. I did not have to wait that long for the pick-up. There was only 1 person ahead of me. I guess i was luckybwith my timing. I showed up at around 2pm on a weekday, if that helps anyone who ever has to come here. read more

When I'm not home to pick up my package, its taken back to this facility for me to pick up when I arrange a customer pick up because I need my item the same day. Every time, literally 100% of the time, they say they can't find my package after looking for about 10 minutes or so. I've been here so many times that I have to remind them that their driver for my area leaves it in the truck for them to find. It's a hassle every single time. read more

#UPS One of your drivers threatened my wife and I last year as well as instigated a confrontation with myself tonight with absolutely no provocation from my part. I simply asked my wife to come inside, immediately upon seeing me your driver verbally attacked me and came rushing towards me on my patio. At that time I was in fear for my life as he was continuing to provoke me. I told him to leave the property or I would be forced to defend myself and he refused and continued to argue with me, in addition he refused to give his name or supervisory information and repeatedly ignored my questions further provoking my wife and I. I am permanently disabled and because of the numerous incidences with this driver since he first threatened my wife and I. I am in fear for my safety because of this driver (Van Nuys, Office). This is a very serious problem and the local #UPS management does not seem to care that this driver does not do his job properly, (as explained by his own manager), steals packages and falsifies signatures as well as threatens violence on your customers. This is unacceptable and I should not have to feel this way when I'm having a delivery, FedEx and OnTrac don't treat us this way. Why do you? At this point I no longer know to to contact that will care so I am posting this so others can see and as long as I am being harassed by or forced to deal with this driver I will continue to post updates every single time there is an issue. Let me tell you why we all end up here. The delivery man simply never ring the door bell/knock the door when he delivers the package!!! I was at home this morning waiting for my package, I was basically sitting by my door and guess what!!! "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." BOOM! We are forced to pick up our packages and to waste valuable times and to deal with UPS people who don't give a freak about what happened and to lose our temper. This place is sad, packages sent to wrong addresss, senior customer here been sent to an access point location and he doesn't even know what is an access location, just one lady working alone, she's trying her best but because of the stupidity of the delivery drivers everyone here's frustrated. I wasted 2 days waiting for a package eventually I had to ask to get it here but in the future I'll advice to all places I order to use fedex because I have never had any issue with them. If all of the UPS "service" centers were modeled after this hell hole, they'd be out of business in no time. There is no service to speak of... Unless you count a manager who barks matter of fact comments to the customers. A tip: Using a little sweetness would make everyone a bit more cordial to you, and you might even begin to like your job. I went there to pick up a package that wasn't delivered because nobody was home. I stood on line for 20 minutes with an interesting group. I don't know who was more interesting... The guy with the face tattoos who talked to himself and kept pointing his "finger gun" at people (security?), or the woman from out of state who is staying with her sister and couldn't get her package because she had no ID with the trifecta of her name, the address of the package, and a photo. She spent the night arguing with the manager, who was rude and condescending to this obviously very angry customer. My story was simple. I handed my paperwork to a clerk at 8:00pm and was told that the truck was still out (holidays) and they would bring my package into the lobby when the truck arrived (I was told that would be between 9 and 9:30). I sat down and waited patiently. At 9:00 the clerk who worked with me left. I went up to her to check with her about my package. Another customer beat me to her and the clerk said, "sorry, can't help you, I'm off the clock." Then the clerk left. I sat down for another 30 minutes and stood up to stretch at 9:30. The manager saw me and said, "where did YOU come from!??!??" I told her I had been there for almost 2 hours. She said she didn't notice me. She took my paperwork and said that the truck had come in at 9:00 and everything had been placed into a semi-trailer for the night and I wouldn't be getting my package. All she did was give me a 1-800 number to call to complain. No apology, no attempt to have someone look for it, NOTHING. I then got to spend 20 minutes on hold to complain to some guy in India and schedule delivery at my home for the next day... Because there is no way I will ever set food in that disgusting place ever again. The best part of the night is writing this review. Avoid this place at all costs. Seriously. Don't go there. Don't use UPS. There are plenty of other companies that can mail stuff... And they have lower rates. read more

1-star because I can't choose 0. I rush shipped a package that I needed delivered before going out of town. I should have known better than to trust UPS. The driver apparently couldn't find my name on the call box. Are they illiterate? Blind? Lazy? Incapable of deductive reasoning? They didn't even leave a note! Had I not looked at the delivery status, I would have never learned what happened to my package. Now it's after 8pm, and the package MIGHT be delivered tomorrow. This is inexcusable. I will make sure to put in a complaint about the driver who "attempted" to deliver my package. Your center needs to be open 24 hours, at least to communicate with some form of dispatch. This is by far the worst UPS store I visited. They have terrible customer service two employees one male in his 30s and one female in the 50s extremely rude. as soon as I walked in they told me that I have to wear a mask when both of the employees were not wearing their mask themselves. They stood there and watched me as I put on my mask and then decided to help me after. They don't want to take the extra time to look for a package when I literally told them that I got a call from one of your UPS guy is telling me the package is here. After waiting for quite some time they found my package which was pretty heavy for me to take to my car , I asked the gentleman to help me he told me that I could carry it after I try to pick it up it was pretty heavy it was a class big box and I'm petite. HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING. This lady has zero concept of customer service. As soon as she came out from the back she had a nasty attitude with us and all the other customers waiting. She spoke in a rude, disrespectful tone and was walking around not even trying to help us get our package because SHE couldn't do her job correctly. She accused us of lying about our package and tried to downplay us of the price our package was worth, looking down on us. We showed her all the receipts and proof and she proceeded to say that we aren't going to get our package. Very unprofessional and condescending, she started to raise her voice and curse at us and then continued to call security on us. This lady really needs to work on herself because with the way she acted I could tell she is unhappy and not content with her life and takes it out on customers. All the other employees we're respectful and listened to us and helped but she kept chiming in rudely. Yes! It would have been most splendid if the carrier/or dispatch would've called and requested our suite #. Instead of letting us know, why UPS had not delivered our package, we had to find out the message by tracking the package (on-line) ourselves. If I had not done that, I guess they would have returned the package back to the sender. When I sent a message via the chat line, the representative foolishly asked me if there had been a note left on my door....... Duhhhh - If that would have been the case, they would have known our suite # + left our package :( I'm fairly certain the carrier Never came to our (tiny) building. Cause if he had, he would have seen our office with the company name on the door :( Sadly, this downturn in the economy has created much laziness. Customer Service is fairly non-existent. read more

ZERO STARS. If you have to request your package be held for pick up, do yourself a favor and pick any other UPS location so that you can avoid this UPS Customer Center a.k.a. the 5th Circle of Hell. The employees are fine, but if you happen to be helped by Debbie, the horrible manager of this location, just walk out and save yourself the agony. If your ID does not have your current address, she will practically want a retina scan or the deed to your house before releasing your package to you. Every other employee will accept a legit piece of mail as proof that you live at the address, BUT NOT HER. I had a health insurance bill and a credit card bill to show her, but she's much too bureaucratic to use common sense and will state that she can only accept a "Time Warner, DWP, or Car Registration" and repeat over and over "THAT'S UPS POLICY" which it isn't. The centers have discretion as to what they can accept. The fact that her own employees refuse to apply it is proof of how absurd her "policy" is. read more
