I scheduled my mini golden doodle for easy grooming here many weeks in advance based on these "good" reviews., just cutting around face, nails, teeth & ears... I groom her every 4 weeks so should have been basic. It took 4.5 hours!!! ? I am not sure if nails or teeth were done, and one ear maybe cleaned one for sure not. I've taken my mini poodle here several times over 2 years. It seems the quality has gone down. The windows are always dirty and it's a mess inside. Hair everywhere that has not been swept and the person that greeted me today had a filthy uniform on at 10:30 AM; she laughed when I commented on it and said she hadn't washed it lately. YUK. She is handling dogs with old germs and dirt from the day or days before. Not good. The stylist that groomed my dog usually does a good job and she is very sweet. Amazing place! They take great care of my Australian Labradoodle, making him look his best. I found this place by chance. I had been taking Enzo to another place and they never knew how to trim him, always picked up his fur shaved off. So I was calling around and Diana at Uptown was the only person that was willing to squeeze me in when she learned it's was going to be his 1 Birthday, she asked to bring him in early before her actually store hour opening. I had a gret experience at this groomer today. I called around 9AM and got an apppointment for 9:30 because of a cancellation. I have a 12 lb malti-poo and took her for full service bath and haircut which is $55 plus $5 extra for a blueberry facial. I am very sorry to say that I do not remember the name of the man that helped us but he was absoluely wonderful. He had great attention to detail and was very caring towards the dogs and his work. He even made us a custom bow when I picked up my dog. He did say though that we can ask for bows when we drop off the dogs so they will be all set when they are ready to be picked up. I used this groomer several times for my goldendoodles. The owner is hit or miss with her attitude. She is either overly stressed, which is most of the time I have been there, or sweet as pie. They generally do a good job with the groom, but.....the last time I was there I dropped off my dogs and left only to realize I left something on the counter. I went back in to hear the owner screaming at one of my dogs. "Oh no you don't!! I've had it with you coming here." I left feeling anxious myself and when I picked the dogs up later, the one being yelled at was very upset. It's not worth putting my dogs and me through this constant roller coaster. I appreciate being able to pick them up in two to three hours (instead of having to leave them there all day) and, most importantly, that they are not upset by having been there. I walked into the salon to check it out. I've had terrible experiences at other dog groomers and was in need of a new groomer for my Yorkie. Joanne the owner gave me a tour and I was so impressed with the salon. It was clean and very nice. I booked an appt for my Yorkie. I was so pleased with my dogs grooming and my dog was not stressed out as she had been in the past at other places. Called to inquire about getting my 35lb Labradoodle groomed. At first, she quoted me a price range, of $65.00 to $78.00, depending on the condition of the coat. Then you hear another woman yelling in the background. The young lady on the phone then informed me, rather curtly, that her boss (the lady yelling in the background) is no longer accepting Labradoodles, as they already have too many clients with Labradoodles. The woman on the phone then explained that they are currently very short staffed and do not have the time to groom Labradoodles, as they are time consuming breeds to groom..... Not only did this place seem unorganized, they may not be staffed well enough to properly groom and care for our beloved pets. Furthermore, the curt tone and the woman yelling in the background suggested that the establishment is lacking professional staff. read more

Based on yelp reviews I took our 6 year old Yorkie to Joanne and was thrilled with the results. She took a lot of time getting to know the dog and the style we prefer. She offered to let us come back in a few days and make adjustments to the cut if we wanted. She is clearly interested in having satisfied customers! The shop itself is open and clean and organized. The dogs can be seen at all times and are kept in open cubbies when not on the grooming table. I liked the set up of the shop very much. When we came back to get Chloe, not only did she look adorable with her fresh cut, she was also happy and relaxed. Again Joanne took time to go over the cut and asked questions about areas that may be too long. She said she would rather leave something a little longer because you can always go shorter. I agree and we asked her to trim a little shorter around the face. Joanne made the adjustment pleasantly and perfectly. We were extremely pleased and will be returning on a regular basis.
