I got the Green Goddess wrap, and was impressed. I was looking for plenty of greens, and it was superb. The hummus in it was excellent. Their cookies and scones are wonderful. If I lived here I'd hit this place weekly....

I have tried a couple of salads the Green Goddess wrap (I think that was it) and smoothies. I try and eat later so getting here before 2 has proven tough! But it has been worth the rush. The smoothies seem to have a ton of healthy...

healthy ingredients and taste sooooo good! Plus you can add hemp, protein and other things to make it even better. I try and do the green smoothies with as many veggies as possible. The owner (I think) is so nice- he seems to know everyone and chats with everyone like they're friends- such a welcoming environment. I've also had the same cashier each time I've gone and she is just as friendly too- hard to find service this good! And parking is limited.... But worth waiting- if you can make it!

My favorites are the liquid lunch (juice), funky monkey (smoothie), yin and yang salad, and south of the border wrap. Super fresh ingredients, I'm glad they are walking distance from my office!

Love this place! The manager and staff are just so nice and always attentive. We love to sit outside in the shade along the sidewalk and watch the world go by as we dive into one of their yummy salads. Never had a bad lunch here and all the veggies are super fresh!

We were visiting Tucson and our Flginal meal was from @urbanfreshaz It was a perfect ending before we headed out the road, going home. It was also the healthiest meal in Tucson. I have never heard of this place until a person in Vegan Tucson fb group suggested it. It has apparently opened for 10 yrs! Tucson keeps surprising me with its vegan restaurants and vegan options! Everything they serve is organic, housemade, and all vegan. The owner is really nice. He and his wife make everything from bread, biscuits, chickpea egg, seitan, gravy, plant based milk, etc. and they use organic fruits and vegetables. Hubby got the biscuits and gravy. I had the breakfast sandwich with homemade bollilo, chickpea egg, homemade sausage seitan and vegetables. They were delicious and clean meals after all the food we've been eating all week. Their smoothies with housemade plant milk were also delicious. I talked to him about seitan making and cooking. It is great to be able to talk to a person who cooks things from scratch and not processed. He let us sample his seitan turkey and housemade soup. A definite eating place to go back to for next time when we are back to Tucson which we will as I Tucson( and Kitt Peak....and Kartchner Caverns)

Amazing food options, including raw vegan options. I had the raw (living) taco wrap and it was wonderful. I appreciated the use of carrots as the "meat" instead of nuts without losing any of the essence of what it was. The owners are beautiful, loving people and the other patrons felt very comfortable -- the frequency of the restaurant reflects all of this!

It's hard to beat a restaurant when their dishes are made with organic, fresh, local, whole-food ingredients. But what really sets this vegan gem apart is the love and creativity that go into every wrap, salad, juice, smoothie, baked good, and everything else they make. We always feel like part of the family when we visit, and the food is always nourishing and delicious. Don't miss the Funky Monkey Smoothie (my favorite!) or the Broccoli Spinash Quiche when it's on special.

My mouth and tummy are so happy after eating at Urban Fresh. It is not easy to eat healthy on the road. My husband and I were driving from CA to TX, and trying to find something healthy on the way. We are not vegan, but we prefer to eat fresh vegetables. It is sad to us that many vegan places we found are filled with processed products with barely any fresh produce. :( So, you can see how joyful we are finding Urban Fresh while driving through Tucson. The staff are all super friendly, and the owner did not hesitate to tell us what is not a good idea to order. lol Everything we got was deliciously flavorful and very refreshing. My tummy was in a not mood for a few days, but it was very happy after we eat here. After the owner knows that we are on the road, he gifted us a gluten free scone for the road. And it was DELICIOUS! Honestly we were a little skeptical at first, as many vegan deserts are too heavy for me. But hey, not here. The scone we got tasted just like if I was to make it at home (my husband would say that's the highest compliment). Tasty and healthy! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come bak!

As full time RV'rs constantly traveling the Country, eating WFPBNO means we eat in our RV 99.9% of the time because WFPBNO restaurants just don't exist. While in Tucson we were so thrilled to find Urban Fresh! We had gumbo, chili, Thai wrap and a green chile tofu mushroom burger. All exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be back while we are in town! The staff/owners were extremely personable and the food was delivered to us quickly. read more

We ordered take out for a large group of people and we were all extremely happy with our food. Urban fresh offers all vegan food which is great since there aren't many vegan restaurants in Tucson. I was a bit nervous because I'm not vegan and I have never considered plant-based meat alternatives, but my meal was amazing. I will definitely be going there again. read more

Urban Fresh has been a favorite of mine since coming to Tucson a little over a year and a half ago. The staff is so friendly and passionate about what they do. I wish they stayed open into the dinner hours because I also crave them around dinner but everything I've had from here is always so good. My absolute favorite is their Ginger snap smoothie and I love to go with their meal of the day because they make it fresh and we love a vegan cook trying new dishes!! Plus it is in the cutest area so shop around before or after eating. read more

I loved the idea of this restaurant, which terrified me...natural and delectable don't always go hand in hand. I was a little discombobulated when I walked in; I was behind a vagrant gentleman (or maybe a college student...sometimes it's hard to tell) who staggered past the welcoming potted blooms and immediately claimed one of the outside tables along with his back pack. Do I sit down, too? Order at the counter? Make a run for it? Decisions... I saw some wraps in a refrigerator case, grabbed one that looked like it met my dietary preferences - vegetarian but nothing too obscure - and headed to the counter. I was greeted by the friendly owner who rang me up and sent me on my way. The cost was around $10, which makes sense given the wholesome, organic nature of the ingredients. I must have arrived just in the nick of time - around 11:55 AM - because as I departed the line was already out the door. Back at my work space, conveniently located right next door for the week, I dug into the South of the Border Wrap, which contained black beans, mushrooms, green chiles, red salsa, lettuce and guacamole, bound together by a red pepper chipotle tortilla. I know this because it said so right on the container. Otherwise, I'd be telling you, "it...umm...had delicious veggies and stuff with the best and only spicy tortilla that I've ever had." This was one of a handful of lunches that didn't make me yearn for chicken or cow. It's so rewarding to dine on fare that makes me feel good about myself afterwards. MINOR UPDATE: I originally gave Urban Fresh four stars, but when I went back a couple of days later - in the morning, before the lunch rush - the cashier gave me a total run-down of the business and let me know about vegan boot camp classes held every Saturday. I'm totally diggin' this place! read more

How have I not already written a review for this place?! Since my first trip there, I have been addicted and go as often as I can. The Ancient Roots and the Veggie Cobb salads are my favorite. And every special I've tried has been great. All the food has been amazingly fresh. The smoothies are reasonably priced for the quality and taste, especially compared to other places in town. Try ordering the Hyper Monkey! ;-) And last, but certainly not least, the owners are SO friendly. Parking across the street in the garage is free is you're there for less than an hour, so do yourself a favor and go visit Urban Fresh! read more

I ate here today when I was in the area for a meeting. The owner was super nice and explained the menu to us, and gave us some good recommendations. I had the shiitake mushroom soup with the south of the border wrap. It was so good that I went back later for a tropical cream smoothie. I loved everything and would definitely go back! read more

I have been coming here for a year now, at least once per week, I have to say this is the best Vegan/ Plant-based, whole-food restaraunt in Tucson (and maybe Arizona). Their daily specials are amazing and different every day, plus you get a free drink w/each special! They also have wraps and smoothies that are great. If you're not into the daily special I recommend the Ginger Snap smoothie, Yin and Yang salad, and the Green Goddess wrap. Family owned, locally sourced/organic ingredients, amazing taste, this place is a win-win-win. read more

I LOVE this place!! One of my favorites. Deana & Chauncy are wonderful people with a gift of making food creations. The specials change daily and are all sooo good and affordable! This place was fantastic! My boyfriend had the Raw Pizza and I had the Pad Thai wrap. Both had such great flavors! The wrap was definitely more filling, the pizza obit came WTH two slices, just a heads up! Would definitely come here again if we were in the area! read more

Wow, this place is a real TREASURE! Here's why: 1. Great quality food! (organic, GMO free, vegan) and abundant portions! 2. Wonderful owners! (friendly, caring, committed to health) 3. Incredible prices! I only wish they were open more hours. If you want to eat there at night, come on the 2nd Saturday of any month. Otherwise they are only open during weekday afternoons. One more thing - the acoustics could be better. It's kind of noisy in there, people talking, etc. They should put something up on the walls and ceiling to help with this. The wraps are solid, but the salads really shine. Each ingredient always tastes perfect. Great flavors with a nice balance of proteins and veggies, and artfully arranged. The tofu cobb is my go-to, but every one I've tried has been outstanding. Urban Fresh is a great healthy option downtown. If you are vegan and want less healthy, Veg in a Box is right next door. Most days I like the clean/healthy, but hey when you want a burger... Next time: juices! read more

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Tucson and loved it. I had the Green Goddess wrap and my husband had the pad Thai wrap. Both were very fresh and delicious. I had an amazing smoothie made with bananas, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond milk and I think cashews. I hope I'm remembering that right because it was so good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are in Tucson and you want something delicious, fresh and enjoyable, I highly recommend Urban Fresh. read more

I just stopped in for a quick bite and had the chili. The chili was OK ( I do not like cinnamon in my chili), but I felt $4 was a little pricey for such a small serving. I understand they are a niche restaurant, but the chili has no meat. They must be making like $3.25 profit. Even though, I think this place is a great addition to Downtown Tucson and I see them filling a niche that is much needed. I am just looking forward to the day when I can go in and grab a $3 juice in the morning. read more

I love this place! Raw, Vegan, Fresh and close to where I live. They offer freshly pressed green juices and healthy, diabetic friendly smoothies too. I'm not diabetic but love food that isn't loaded with sugar or a lot of high sugar fruit. So UF is my go to place for a quick bite or a juice during the week. The staff is friendly and very helpful. A great place to feel like family (like Cheers). Whenever I go in I see other customers I recognize and we always chat a bit. So fun. I highly recommend going in. The owner Kathy also offers classes on Saturdays for anyone interested in knowing more about how to make healthy, quick food. read more

I love everything i have ever eaten here! Today i had Raw tri enchiladas! Three different flavors of raw (vegan, gluten free) fillings held together lovingly in hearts of romaine! They also had my favorite soup the butternut curry soup! Picked some up for later tonight. Don't miss out on their raw Pizza, when it is available. It is to die for! They also are the best juice bar in town and they make fantastic smoothies as well. Wish I could eat here every day! If you are interested in a plant-based diet, veganism, vegetarianism, eating raw, gluten free foods, or just eating healthier in general this is the place for you! read more

Wow! Who knew vegetarian would be so delicious! Our office is completely addicted to this place now! None of us are even vegan or vegetarian for that matter. Serving sizes are big and the quality is awesome. The taste is soooo good! We've basically had every salad and wrap on the menu and everything has been delicious. Not one item has someone said "eh." Do not skip the coconut chia pudding. Yum yum yum! Friendly service, nice folks. I totally recommend this place! read more

This place is amazing! All the ingredients are uber fresh and the wrap flavor a were very diverse. I am a vegetarian and my dad is not, yet we were both satisfied! The Pad Thai wrap and the Rainforest Purple Haze are to die for! Not to mention that the owner/chef Chauncey was extremely nice and made us feel at home. When I wanted to switch a juice flavor, he gladly did that with no charge. I was impressed with the entire experience and will be coming back for more! read more

Today's special is Monte Carlo sandwich w/ German potato salad and watermelon. Super delicious. This being my first visit, my experience was excellent. I'll definitely come back here to try more. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was greeted immediately after I walked in. I didn't get the look-up-and-then-ill-go-back-to-what-i'm-doing thing that restaurants dish out all too frequently nowadays. Food came out quickly and well presented. This is a small restaurant with limited self-seating inside and out. I had my hands full, so when I was about to take outside seating, the girl carried my lunch outside for me. Wonderful! I had lunch at Urban Fresh several weeks ago. As a vegan, it comes as a relief to have access to fresh and healthy foods at restaurants. I had lunch at the neighboring vegan restaurant, Veg In a Box, before, and while also delicious, it felt better to have something that wasn't fried and covered in daiya cheese or veganaise. I had the shepherd's pie with cauliflower "cheese" and vegetables. At $9 for the dish (and the complimentary tea), I was very satisfied with the portion size and taste. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful with my questions. I don't believe I've had a vegan meal that tasted better in my entire life. read more

OMGoodness! Please come to Phoenix so that I can eat here every day! If you don't then I can only come once a year, when I have my convention... We came to this little gem for breakfast, I liked it soooo much that I wanted to come back for lunch, but hubby said no . The man (my guess the owner) was very pleasant. He even carried my drinks out to the car (cuz my hand were filled with baby boy & other goods. Can't wait to see you in August. My absolutely FAVORITE place to go! I am not vegan, or even vegetarian, but I tried this place out on a whim one day, as I was getting to know the downtown area. I'm SO glad I did! Since that first day, I have been there nearly five times per week for smoothies and lunch. Everything on the menu has been absolutely amazing and SO fresh - I highly recommend you try out the daily specials! The couple that owns the place are so kind and you can tell that they put a lot of thought and love into their food. They genuinely care about their customers and go out of their way to make sure that each person feels satisfied. The interior is a bit small and can get a little warm/steamy at times, but the patio is nice and at the end of a not-so-busy street. For a downtown location, it is fairly quiet and relaxing. Yay for biscuits and gravy!! That is a dish I will only eat at Urban Fresh because they make it so, so good. I always feel pleasantly content when I finish a meal there, never like I've stuffed myself silly with unhealthy and greasy food like I usually do during breakfasts out. Their pancakes are always great, and I really love their Benedict... which is oh-so yummy with polenta and house made sausages. I feel spoiled by Chauncey and Dana because they treat me like a friend, always with a big smile and a warm welcome. Honestly though, I see them treat all who walk in their door that way, which is just as wonderful as their unique and wholesome food. Thanks you two, so much, for giving me and all of Tucson a healthy breakfast selection without taking away any of the flavor or fun! (Someday, I will make it for lunch too! The inside of the restaurant is actually a big room, sparsely decorated with simple tables and chairs but again it added to the charm and authenticity of the cafes from the Middle East region. It is not often that you find a combination of healthy delicious food and nice ambiance. Urban Fresh is going to be my new favorite place! That's saying something considering that I can be somewhat of a food snob after traveling the country. Urban Fresh takes a new spin on clean eating with unique menu items such as their Fire Ice Tea from the UK and Organic Specialty Melons (I cannot remember what it was called, but it was an amazing cross between cantaloupe and watermelon)...though not to draw attention away from the party I had in my tummy from their special of the day wrap! Urban Fresh also has juices and smoothies, along with a "secret menu".... that the staff would be more than happy to discuss with you. Raw food options. .. wraps/salads/fresh juice and smoothies all made to order...Wonderful hope this is a new trend in the way we do business :) Pricey $$ but seems to be family owned and opperated by people who care very much for our community and support local growers at the same time purchasing the best ingredents avilable keeping your health in mind. I absolutely love this place! The fruits and vegetables are bough locally and the daily soup is determined by what is on hand. My favorite dishes are the tofu scramble quiche, shepherds pie, raw pizza and all of their soups. The prices are really reasonable for downtown.
