Not "almost full." Empty. I understand that businesses are allowed to have their own policies, but expecting families with young children to sit outside in 90+ degree heat while an empty, air-conditioned dining room sits right there is certainly a choice. And not a particularly welcoming one. Apparently, celebrating your kids after their first flag football game meant sweating through dinner on the patio while an entire empty dining room sat comfortably indoors. With the temperature over 90 degrees, that was not a reasonable option for our family. Needless to say, we left. Tucson has plenty of wonderful restaurants where families can celebrate, cool off, and enjoy a meal indoors without being limited to the patio simply because they brought their children. So no, I can't tell you whether the pizza is good. We never got that far. I can tell you the hospitality left a bad enough taste that we won't be back to find out

It is not often that you find a combination of healthy delicious food and nice ambiance. Urban Fresh is going to be my new favorite place! That's saying something considering that I can be somewhat of a food snob after traveling the country. Urban Fresh takes a new spin on clean eating with unique menu items such as their Fire Ice Tea from the UK and Organic Specialty Melons (I cannot remember what it was called, but it was an amazing cross between cantaloupe and watermelon)...though not to draw attention away from the party I had in my tummy from their special of the day wrap! Urban Fresh also has juices and smoothies, along with a "secret menu".... that the staff would be more than happy to discuss with you. It is not often that staff will take time to discuss everything on the menu with you and not make you feel like they are bothered by it, customer service A+! As I write this review the word "home" comes to mind. Raw food options. .. wraps/salads/fresh juice and smoothies all made to order...Wonderful hope this is a new trend in the way we do business :) Pricey $$ but seems to be family owned and opperated by people who care very much for our community and support local growers at the same time purchasing the best ingredents avilable keeping your health in mind. This is an extremely healthy choice for everyone involved.... I would treat myself at least bi-weekly if it were in my budget- and feel good about it too!!! I absolutely love this place! The fruits and vegetables are bough locally and the daily soup is determined by what is on hand. My favorite dishes are the tofu scramble quiche, shepherds pie, raw pizza and all of their soups. The prices are really reasonable for downtown. I have taken several non-vegans for lunch there and they love it as well. Dana and Chauncey will answer any questions you have about their food and will accommodate special requests. read more
