I got the Green Goddess wrap, and was impressed. I was looking for plenty of greens, and it was superb. The hummus in it was excellent. Their cookies and scones are wonderful. If I lived here I'd hit this place weekly....

I have tried a couple of salads the Green Goddess wrap (I think that was it) and smoothies. I try and eat later so getting here before 2 has proven tough! But it has been worth the rush. The smoothies seem to have a ton of healthy...

healthy ingredients and taste sooooo good! Plus you can add hemp, protein and other things to make it even better. I try and do the green smoothies with as many veggies as possible. The owner (I think) is so nice- he seems to know everyone and chats with everyone like they're friends- such a welcoming environment. I've also had the same cashier each time I've gone and she is just as friendly too- hard to find service this good! And parking is limited.... But worth waiting- if you can make it!

My favorites are the liquid lunch (juice), funky monkey (smoothie), yin and yang salad, and south of the border wrap. Super fresh ingredients, I'm glad they are walking distance from my office!

Love this place! The manager and staff are just so nice and always attentive. We love to sit outside in the shade along the sidewalk and watch the world go by as we dive into one of their yummy salads. Never had a bad lunch here and all the veggies are super fresh!

We were visiting Tucson and our Flginal meal was from @urbanfreshaz It was a perfect ending before we headed out the road, going home. It was also the healthiest meal in Tucson. I have never heard of this place until a person in Vegan Tucson fb group suggested it. It has apparently opened for 10 yrs! Tucson keeps surprising me with its vegan restaurants and vegan options! Everything they serve is organic, housemade, and all vegan. The owner is really nice. He and his wife make everything from bread, biscuits, chickpea egg, seitan, gravy, plant based milk, etc. and they use organic fruits and vegetables. Hubby got the biscuits and gravy. I had the breakfast sandwich with homemade bollilo, chickpea egg, homemade sausage seitan and vegetables. They were delicious and clean meals after all the food we've been eating all week. Their smoothies with housemade plant milk were also delicious. I talked to him about seitan making and cooking. It is great to be able to talk to a person who cooks things from scratch and not processed. He let us sample his seitan turkey and housemade soup. A definite eating place to go back to for next time when we are back to Tucson which we will as I Tucson( and Kitt Peak....and Kartchner Caverns)

Amazing food options, including raw vegan options. I had the raw (living) taco wrap and it was wonderful. I appreciated the use of carrots as the "meat" instead of nuts without losing any of the essence of what it was. The owners are beautiful, loving people and the other patrons felt very comfortable -- the frequency of the restaurant reflects all of this!

It's hard to beat a restaurant when their dishes are made with organic, fresh, local, whole-food ingredients. But what really sets this vegan gem apart is the love and creativity that go into every wrap, salad, juice, smoothie, baked good, and everything else they make. We always feel like part of the family when we visit, and the food is always nourishing and delicious. Don't miss the Funky Monkey Smoothie (my favorite!) or the Broccoli Spinash Quiche when it's on special.

Just ate there for the first time today. The food was great and the price was cheap. I will definitely see myself coming back here again. It was a quick drive from my work at the University and parking was great. Don't let the bad review below fool you (because of parking), there is an entire garage just right across the street from Urban Fresh that has free parking for the first hour. I had the chilli and ended my meal with a smoothie to go, it was by far the best fresh made smoothie I've had in town so far. read more

The salads are healthy, fresh, and delicious and ready to grab and go if you're looking for a quick working lunch. Especially delicious salad dressings. Awesome gluten-free baked goods like sweet potato scones, banana bread, and cookies. The new owners are really friendly and helpful (as were the old owners) and their new earlier hours mean I can stop by before work. read more

Today was my first time back since they re-opened under new ownership and it's just as fabulous as ever! I had the Yin and Yang salad, which was superb, and my mom really enjoyed their weekly special, the Pad Thai wrap. They are thinking of putting the wrap on the regular menu, and I hope they do! When you get to the counter, you are offered a sample of their iced tea and the soup of the day. Both were delicious. We got to talk briefly to the new owners, Dana and Chauncey, and I think they are going to have great success here. Even though they are new to the restaurant business, they were well-taught by the previous owners and obviously value superior customer service. The patio outside is shady and should be more-or-less comfortable even on the hottest days. read more

The flavor here is OUTRAGEOUSLY good! Why not the 5 stars? I am not a fan of the hours...I am dying for either better hours or for them to open up a more cozy place to serve actual dinner plate meals. Also, I don't like that they are so green yet it very much has the cafeteria feel and I dislike all of the plastic to go container stuff. They were out of something that I ordered and I was offered that they would whip me up something else that I would enjoy and ENJOY I did. MAN, I would gladly spend money at this place on a regular basis if I was able to make the hours. Please open a second location that is less cafeteria style!!!! You don't need to be a veg or vegan to enjoy this food...SO GOOD! read more

Stopped in here completely by chance while passing through on our drive from Austin to San Francisco. We had a baby in tow, who was warmly greeted and immediately offered a treat of his own. For ourselves, we ordered the shiitake mushroom soup, which tasted fresh and really delicious. We also got a smoothie to share - I've forgotten the name - maybe "Ginger Snap"? It was also delicious - tasted of fresh nutmeg and cinnamon. Delicious, simple, fresh food and very friendly people working there. Great place to stop for lunch. read more

DUUUUUUUDE, what can I say about Urban Fresh? I love this place. It's a cute, little place perfect for a quick lunch or picking something up to go. I usually make my lunch because it's somewhat difficult to accommodate a gluten-free, vegan lifestyle when you're looking for something quick and easy. But this place does exactly that! I love their Lovin' Greens smoothie (lots of greens, but still manages to taste good!) And I love all the salads--I think I've tried most of them. The food is fresh, vegan and full of REAL vegetables, not a bunch of weird imitation meat and dairy products. Even if you aren't vegan, raw, gluten-free, the flavors and freshness of the food is worth coming here! read more

This place!!! My wife and I were driving from New Orleans to San Diego and were astounded at the lack of Vegan eateries on the way (especially in Texas - blah) HOWEVER - in Tucson, AZ we came across this gem. The food was SOOO good and the guy working (didn't catch his name) was so informative. He was telling us about the different drinks they carry, where they are sourced, and the benefits paid forward by some of those companies! He also informed us of the other vegan places in the area including a cashew ice cream joint with 20+ flavors!!! So awesome. Thank you Urban Fresh!! We had the thai pad wrap, the south of the border wrap, and the vegan chilli. All of them were so good. My 4yo daughter was scraping the bottom of the bowl!!! Don't miss out. I liked it before, and I still like it now! It's so great to have a place downtown to pick up fresh delicious salads, wraps, and smoothies. My new favorite thing-breakfast! The biscuits and gravy are so good! The owners are extremely friendly, the food is great, and the pricing is right. The restaurant space is small ( a couple tables inside and a few outside), but I enjoy eating outside. They have plants on the table that you can buy. I love how they have different specials to try out regularly, so I don't ever know what I am going to order before I go. I do know that when I am not feeling well, I will get a smoothie with ginger in it. read more

We visited this small restaurant in Tucson with friends, one of whom had a gluten and dairy allergy expecting to find a gluten free menu as that is what Yelp suggested when I put it in the search box. This is not a very gluten-free restaurant at all, in fact not many of the restaurants in Tucson are, even though they advertise as such. The menu was not that diverse and the food was okay, but not great. For the prices charged, I can't rate it that high and when we paid the bill, the charge on my credit card was higher than what I paid at the restaurant. read more

This is the best vegan spot I've been to in Tucson. I tried the mushroom and tofu veggie burger and it was fantastic. It was the best vegan burger that I've ever had, and I've had my fair share of vegan burgers. The patty was nice and thick, unlike other vegan burgers where the patty is drowned and overpowered by the buns. In addition to trying the burger, I also had the blackberry scone. This, on the other hand, was a slight disappointment. The scone had pretty good texture, but was almost completely flavorless; I couldn't taste the blackberries at all. Another small con was that the service took quite a long time. Overall, I definitely would recommend coming here for some quality vegan food. Even if you are not vegan, like myself, the food is still amazing and worth trying. read more

Three of us had lunch today at Urban fresh after volunteering at the food bank. Two of us are vegan, and the third goes along with whatever we suggest. My daughter, Sue Davis, has a vegan restaurant in Austin, so I know good vegan food. This darling little place has super good wraps and salads. Great sauces, knowleged owners. I look forward to going there again and trying more wonderful foods. It is so nice to know that Tucson is expanding it's listings of of healthy vegan foods. read more

Every dish I have ever had at Urban Fresh was delicious and satisfying! If I had a reservation, such as, it's not big enough or it might be bland, it was never realized. Came here for green juice. The juice (Power Greens I think it was) was great and the cashier / juice maestro was very friendly. HOWEVER, there were an abundance of wasps inside the restaurant that made it pretty difficult to enjoy one's juice in peace. read more

Super reasonable prices for this well educated / run place. They know their shit and are implementing it. Starving on a road trip and almost caved to eat some comfort food - glad I swung by this place first. This place is amazing! First time ever trying a vegan place and expectations were blown away. I had the lovin green smoothie and added mango it was delicious. I also ordered their Mediterranean wrap which was also incredible. Cute little place to relax and enjoy your food. The people there were very friendly and welcoming. They had my try an all raw cheesecake which was the best thing I have ever tried, it had a hint of coconut and made it just too great. Overall just an amazing place to eat. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Tuscan. read more

WOW. I wish other people knew about this place. The owner was incredibly nice, he gave my husband samples on foods he was curious about. And the smoothie I had was delicious. I wish the best for this business, more people need to know about their all natural menu. It was so nice to take a break from all the same cooked greasy meals and have a taste of something fresh. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon

It is not often that you find a combination of healthy delicious food and nice ambiance. Urban Fresh is going to be my new favorite place! That's saying something considering that I can be somewhat of a food snob after traveling the country. Urban Fresh takes a new spin on clean eating with unique menu items such as their Fire Ice Tea from the UK and Organic Specialty Melons (I cannot remember what it was called, but it was an amazing cross between cantaloupe and watermelon)...though not to draw attention away from the party I had in my tummy from their special of the day wrap! Urban Fresh also has juices and smoothies, along with a "secret menu".... that the staff would be more than happy to discuss with you. It is not often that staff will take time to discuss everything on the menu with you and not make you feel like they are bothered by it, customer service A+! As I write this review the word "home" comes to mind. Raw food options. .. wraps/salads/fresh juice and smoothies all made to order...Wonderful hope this is a new trend in the way we do business :) Pricey $$ but seems to be family owned and opperated by people who care very much for our community and support local growers at the same time purchasing the best ingredents avilable keeping your health in mind. This is an extremely healthy choice for everyone involved.... I would treat myself at least bi-weekly if it were in my budget- and feel good about it too!!! I absolutely love this place! The fruits and vegetables are bough locally and the daily soup is determined by what is on hand. My favorite dishes are the tofu scramble quiche, shepherds pie, raw pizza and all of their soups. The prices are really reasonable for downtown.
