I wanted to like this place, especially since I called to make an actual appointment and explained that I was a new customer who selected them based on seeing so many great reviews on Yelp. But...unfortunately, they were incredibly sloppy with their powder manicure. I showed them a photo of a design I wanted (mentioned this when making the appointment as well), and when I got there they gave me all confidence they could do it but I could see on the tech's face that she had no idea how to even begin. What I showed them was a very simple Mickey Mouse design (this was after showing them several others and then saying they couldn't do it). What I ended up recording was as something that looked like two cherries hanging off a vine. Keep in mind this for a trip to Disney, so... I will say that their pedicure was great-it included hot stones which I love and the massage was also really good. But, that came at a crazy price. The polish application for the pedicure was also sloppy, when I asked for a simple French. All in all, I left there spending $130, which even by Long Island pricing standards is ridiculous. Regardless of the shotty work, I still remained polite and gracious while voicing my concerns along the way in a nice way because I knew there was a huge language barrier that didn't help matters. I am very surprised at all the positive reviews. A friend and I have now been twice, and to different technicians. Could it be that because we are guys that they gave us the bum's rush? I have been in the beauty business in NYC for over 40 years so I know something about service and running a business. The first time the salon was crowded but we were taken right away. The staff seemed pleasant enough but unfortunately, not very good pedicures and we were done in less than 20 minutes. I have been getting pedicures for years. We assumed because they wee busy they might have been overwhelmed. We decided to give them a second try during the week when they might be less crowded. We went on a weekday morning and they were empty. We were so looking forward to great service. Unfortunately, our hopes were dashed when when we were told "Ok! You're done" in less than 14 minutes! Now I'm not judging the quality of the pedicure based solely on time. My nail were uneven cuticles still intact and rough areas on my heal. Just not quality service. My friend's pedicure wasn't any better. So I'm not sure if they have no interest in developing a male clientele or they aren't very good. After reading so much about Judy, I scheduled with her and needless to say, she did an amazing job. So detailed in her work. Polish: SNS # 519 My toes were done by Lisa. She was so patient with me. We tried Fiji but I had forgotten how much I don't like that color on my toes. She cleaned up the first coat on all my toes...i wasn't paying attention when she applied the polish ‍ and rather than getting aggravated, she was willing to call Cindy over and ask for her suggestion. Apparently the few women who work here and have consistent clients do a good job based on the reviews. If you walk in with no clue who to ask for, be aware NOT just anyone will do a good job. I really, really wanted to love this place, especially after reading all the great reviews. So, the positive first: The place is large, clean, looks brand new. They gave my friend and I a bottle of water as soon as we were seated-very nice. The chairs are brand new and fantastic. The whole feel of the place is very luxurious. The bad: We decided to do a gel mani and pedi. The woman who was doing my pedi did the color first! When I questioned why she didn't soak my feet, do the scrub, she told me it wasn't necessary when you do gel. I'm pretty sure it's because another woman was using the curing machine. It was weird, and when I we started, I had told her I wanted my toe nails as short as possible-they weren't short at all. I asked her to shorten them, and she was annoyed. My friend's toes came out uneven-it's almost like they were rushing us through. I had never had a gel mani or pedi before and I loved that I could walk out completely dry-that's awesome. When we were done, I asked for a membership card-no response. I also noticed that we should have bought the gift card for $100 because it would have saved $20 on the services we had that day. Again, no response. And I get it, we should have noticed before, but at least acknowledge me and tell me "you can get one next time." The other weird thing is, we're both pretty sure they told us it would be $45 each. My friend was treating and they didn't give us a bill, just asked for payment. she gave the woman a $100 bill. That was it. They took her money and went back to working on another person. I don't know if we misunderstood, but I'm pretty sure we were ripped off. This was AFTER I gave each woman a $10 tip! I'm so bummed because I would have definitely given them another chance and been super clear about how short i wanted my nails, and insisted they do the pedicure before applying the color, but I'm so turned off by how we were treated after we paid. Literally so happy that I found this place after a friend recommended this to me. I got a bad powder gel set from some other bad nail salon and was unsure about it so I came here and they did a wonderful job!! I got two different colors and some diamonds and I also needed one tip because I had a broken nail and I was just so happy with the effort they put in. Nothing was rushed or done sloppy and they rub your shoulders while you are sitting there. The only thing I wish is that they had certain people for the massages. I'm new to the area and searching for a new nail salon. I always get a mani and pedi every 2 weeks like clock work. So I yelp the closest nail salon. I figured why not give this place a chance since the reviews are really good. The nail salon is absolutely beautiful and so clean. I felt very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. And most of all what I loved is that they did not lie about the wait time. I went Sunday morning around 11:15 the lady stated 2 people in front of me 20 minute wait. That's exactly what is was too, 20 minute wait. The price list was pretty much average compared to other nail salons. I had a regular mani and pedi and it was average nothing to rant and rave about. It looks like I done it myself. However, I will return again but first I will try out other nail salons to see which one I prefer. I also notice around the store they have a points system and lots of rewards which seem pretty cool. No one brought it to my attention, I guess since it's signs everywhere, I should had inquired if I was interested. I won't take a star away for that. read more

A shame I was looking forward to my appointment and although I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure ahead of time, upon arrival they told me that I had to wait as two 'walk ins' which came ahead of me got prioritized. Do not go here for your acrylics. Pretty sure I have a woman named "emily" who had no idea how to do them. If your employees do not know how to do acrylics YOU SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO. I came in for a fill in for the first time. Once she was done "filling them" I looked down and could still see a huge space between my acrylic and my finger, big enough where I could literally point and fit my nail into it so I could say "can you please fill this?...." She looked and me and said she did and was annoyed. Then proceeded to throw on more acrylic on each finger in a sloppy way. Not to mention how many times she then burned my fingers with the drill they were literally bleeding by the time she was done. Everyone around me heard me saying OUCH and her oh sorry sorry... everyone looked confused because it kept happening. Then didn't even compare each finger to the one on the other hand which they should always be doing to make sure they are the same size. She tells me "no no each finger always different"...... uhm no it should be measured so they're not all different sizes like mine were. One of the nails was literally half the size and a different shape. I had to ask her three times to fix it. Even the owner (who kept Coming over to assure me it would be fine by the end, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt before the end) came over and knew I was right because she looked disappointed in her employee and told her to fix it. Would NEVER come back here for my acrylics. I wanted to get a pedicure after and couldn't even bare to stay in there any longer. Why is it impossible to find a good acrylic girl?! read more

I'm writing this review because at checkout the owner/ or manager decided to tell my nail tech to charge me extra for having a different color on my ring finger. Now mind you, this does not take extra time, or extra product, no design. Just for simply having a different color on one finger they charge you? I've been doing this for years and even the highest end nail salons do not charge for this. I have came here multiple times and I am quite pleased. I have never had to wait too long, even when they are pretty busy. They have a great color selection for both regular polish and gel. I have tried powder gel once, only because the lady persuaded me to since she claimed it is healthier and makes your nails stronger, but I did not get powder gel again because I didn't think it was worth it. As far as prices go...I feel as if they're average compared to others but somewhat expensive compared to salons in Nassau County. They also really try to get you by telling you to try this or that and make an extra few bucks. All in all, I'll continue to come back here and I do recommend them. read more

This place is a joke, i'm not sure how on earth it could have so many reviews and 4 stars. They're disorganized and they could care less about your business. This is a lengthy post but worth the read. -- 1st visit -- I came in for a manicure and pedicure. I asked for a french pedicure and the girl couldnt even do a straight white line (RED FLAG). She had to re-do the line 3 times and it STILL wasnt straight but at that point, it was straight enough if you looked at it from afar and I just wanted a decent looking manicure for MDW. Then, my gel manicure was getting soaked off and about 20 mins later, I asked if she could have someone could come over to scrape off the gel. She literally hands me the tool, a towel, and tells me to do it myself!! Her bad attitude really didnt help lighten up the situation but okay, let's finish up and move onto the manicure. More disorganization for the manicure. Sat at one desk, started the gel manicure, and then had me get up and move to another desk. Mind you, I've been polite and SILENT throughout this entire experience so far, with the exception of asking her to give me a STRAIGHT white line for my french pedicure. My manicure was decent but nothing impressive at the least. Nails werent filed evenly. She didnt go to the ends of my nails with the polish until I asked her. Not the end of the world. -- 2nd visit -- I made an appointment for 9:30am on a Saturday, which is the time I was offered when I called to make the appointment. They were late and all of their employees were flooding out of the van. I was the first one in the door and they said I could sit at the first pedicure chair. 15 minutes later and more customers arrived.... I'm still sitting in the pedicure chair, unattended to. Not even greeted or acknowledged. Everyone else is already being helped ASIDE FROM ME. Helloooo, I was the first one in the door, remember???? I got lucky to get the same girl with the same attitude from the first visit! (sarcasim). She cut me a few times while filing my nails because instead of paying attention to what she was doing, she was looking away while yapping to the girl sitting next to her. I made the mistake of asking for callus removal because she shot me the dirtiest look after I requested it. The look was so mean that I actually asked her "Is that okay to request?" I dont understand why it's so difficult to find a good nail salon with enployees who actually care. I really can't deal with someones attitude first thing in the morning. This isnt how ANYONE should have to start their day.... especially on a warm Saturday morning and you're paying good money! I am so done with this place. read more

I started coming here when they first opened and I haven't gotten my nails done anywhere else since! The place is verrrry clean (which I am super picky about when it comes to nail salons). I am very particular about my nail shape as well and they are always very attentive and make my nails look just like any picture I show them! I definitely recommend the SNS powder gel nails. My nails have always been short, very weak and brittle. I started getting tips and the SNS and eventually my nails grew out beautifully- so I just get the powder gel over my natural nail now! They even have color changing powders that change with the temperature- super cool. P.S. I usually go to either Lily, Vivian or Sandy for my SNS nails- they always do them perrrrrfectly.
