I went to Diva nails briefly but stopped for various reasons. Then very recently I saw a new name on the sign, Nail Nation. I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised how beautifully renovated it was and asked if I could get a fill in. She sent me to Danny's chair. I use acrylic powder and gel polish over my own nails. I was so hoping he would be good. I wish I took a picture to show here but I didnt. Whenever I go to a new place, I always tell the technician exactly what i want. I like my nails long and not thick or flat nails. I like a slight curve with modified coffin shape orz square top with tapered at sides. All he had to do was look My nail shape b4 he started and do the same! He didnt and my nails came out horrible. The acrylic was so thick and he applied the gel polish also very thick and he filed them shorter than I wanted. My nails looked better b4 he worked on them even though I was in need of a fill in!. I was very unhappy. I thought I could live with them for 3 weeks but couldn't. So a week later I went back and spoke to the owner Lina, who was very nice and fixed them for me. She filed off all the polish and some of the acrylic powder to thin them out and polished them doing ombre. I was very happy with how they looked. I decided I would only use her. Two weeks later I made an appointment to cut my own nails and do whole new of tips bc my own nails were separating from the acrylic. Lina kept trying to convince me to use gel or dipping powder but I wanted to stick with acrylic. I wish she had told me that she wasn't good with applying or working with acrylic bc she wasnt! I even brought a friend with me so Lina could see her nails and that I wanted the same length and shaping. Needless to say they came out nothing like them. The acrylic was wavy and bumpy and had dips in spaces on a few nails and my thumb nails were alot shorter than the rest. I left and went to get something to eat with my friend but was so upset at how my nails looked that we went back and it expressed to Lina how I liked her and love the new shop but didnt like how my nails came out. I held my hand out next to my frienda hand and asked do my nails look anything like hers, the length and the shape. She seemed annoyed and said to me "everyone's nails are different"! And I said I know that which is why I had you cut mine and got a whole new set of tips that you could shape the way I want them. Isn't that the point of artificial nails to look perfect! She filed the sides down to an almost modified coffin shape while saying "you didnt want coffin shape you wanted square". I think part of the problem is that all these technicians speak very little English and dont understand when you tell them what you want! At one point she said to me "why dont you go to her guy" and i said "I would but be isnt taking on any new customers" I'm just glad I had my friend there to witness the whole thing! Very unprofessional attitude to a customer who just wanted what she asked for and didnt get it. Technicians should just be honest if they ard not really experienced in working with regular acrylic powder! read more

I've came here twice and the first time for my pedicure it was amazing. The second time for my manicure- I'm not happy at all honestly. My pedicure was so nice and relaxing. I added on a 10 minute massage and Tony did a bomb job and really dug into my feet. I do wish the pedi chairs were stronger with the massages, it felt like baby hands hahah. Tony however did a really precise job with my polish and I was very happy. Since I enjoyed my pedi so much I came back for a manicure which Kevin did for me and it just seems like he didn't know what he was doing. I got my nails filed to a square but half my nails were uneven and he had to refile them and made them shorter than I wanted. He didn't take all of the polish off of my skin either in the polish has bubbles in every single nail. And he didn't pull all of my cuticles off either it was almost like he hardly was even touching my skin with the clippers. I was somewhat skeptical of this place after reading the not so great reviews, but I went anyway as I had a gift card and it came recommended by family. I walked in without an appointment so it was understandable when I had to wait a little bit until a technician was free. I went for a gel manicure, and just as the reviews promised they had a TON of color choices to select from. There was a decent amount of customers in the salon, and immediately upon one finishing I was seated in her spot. I was a bit skeeved out by the fact that the tools they used to work on my nails weren't removed from a sanitized pouch, so I was unsure how clean they actually were. Initially, a table top UV Lamp was used to dry my nails and the technician had to keep pressing the button to restart it as it seemed to shut off after only a minute of running. However, when both of my hands needed to dry at the same time they had me using one table top and the other one built into the bench - I feel like it would've been more convenient to just use both built into the bench! Anyways, the technician that did my nails was nice enough and seemed to do a decent job. I was nervous about bubbling as I saw that to be a common complaint in the reviews, but that wasn't an issue for me. There was some paint left on my skin around my nails as well, but that's nothing a little acetone can't fix. The decorations are very colorful and cute; it's adorable. The bathrooms, nail stations, floors etc are all very clean, and all of the implements seem to be very well sanitized/sterilized. They also have a ton of color choices for polish, powder, and gel. The pedicures have been great; it's always a very relaxing atmosphere, and they've never made me feel rushed. The dip powder manicures have been 4 out of 5 stars for me because they sometimes don't always cover the side edges of my nails, and they always use the small skinny drill tip to file the back of my nail bed and cuticle beforehand, to get through the "manicure" part quicker and easier. I know that filing the nail bed a little beforehand can help the material stick better than it would to a super smooth surface, but I'm always disappointed when I see the drill come out for a fast cuticle cleanup instead of doing it all manually with the manicure tools . The pricing is moderate, the staff is very nice and professional, and I will definitely go back in the future, because I like the pedicures so much. read more

I've been going here for a couple of times. At first I would have acrylics done here but the quality is inconsistent. They sometimes can be shaped and filed down bad making them have un even shapes. BIG POSITIVE-They have a great color range! I stopped doing acrylics and decided to do dip powder with them and it's way better than acrylics. Although one of 10 nails is filed down uneven I'm content. The price is average and service is average as well. I do question their sanitation because I don't see their tools being taken out of a sanitary packet (or look new). It's nothing alarming, everything else looks clean. read more

Very bad! Don't go to this place. They have changed owners and they are hiring inexperienced nail technicians. I went this week and a technician (name starting with a Z) gave the worst service. She files your nails so fast that they are crooked. She then takes the buffer and don't actually know what it's used for. The one thing I asked for was for all of the nails to be even! Did I get that? No!! Somehow my thumbs and pointer fingers are way longer, which looks ridiculous!!!! I told another one of the girls that it could be the worst manicure I've ever had and she laughed, like outloud and hard! Never going back to such a terribly dirty, ugly place. Walked in without an appointment so I understood that I may have to wait. Got in a chair after about a half hour then spent the next hour sitting in the chair as the gentleman took care of other customers. Finally a woman came over to do my powder gel manicure and rushed through it. She never trimmed my cuticles and color that I picked was a light Grey but when she put it on it looked like it was lavender. I had an appointment with Amy but when I arrived I was told she was too busy and someone else would do my nails. Why take appointments if you are not going to honor them? The other person burned me with the electric file and also cut the entire length of my cuticle along the top of my thumb nail with the electric file to the point that I was bleeding. She then proceeded to touch my open cut with her finger... it was quite painful and I couldn't wait to get out of there to go home and wash my hands and treat the cut. Today it looks all red and inflamed... I will not be returning to this nail salon and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

honestly would never go back there.. ever. very rude. i waited ATLEAST an hour to be seen, then i sat down at the nail chair for another hour waiting for the woman to start my nails, and then she didn't listen to anything i said i wanted done. Also a gel acrylic nails are 60$ they started at 40$ which is normal.. but then when i went to pay they said 60. i showed up there at 12pm.. ish. i didn't walk out until 4pm my nails started popping off THE NEXT DAY they all came off within a week. absolutely horrible do not go there. read more

I paid $65 for a new set of powder gel tips and they are horrible!!! They are bumpy, you can tell where the tip was put on, the look totally fake but really bad fake! I could have done a much better job myself, even never having done it before. They really look stupid! The worst place I've been to. I had a girl named Candy do my gel manicure and pedicure and though she was nice.. she was horrible at her job. She cut my feet pretty bad... and tried to pretend I wasn't bleeding. I paid an extra $8.00 for callus remover and she barely even scrubbed my feet the way it would normally be done at other nail salons. When it came to my finger nails she cut up all 10 of my fingers because she started a gel menicure and forgot to do a step that was required ( I had to point out missing step) to then have to file the gel nail color off my finger nails and making them raw and cutting up my Cuticles. She seemed not to care that that she cut me every time she put alcohol on my fingers. Needless to say, it burned pretty bad. Lastly, I had gel nail polish all around my nails on my actual skin and when I asked her to remove it, she literally took the cuticle nipper (nail clipper for cuticles) and started cutting off my actual skin where there was nail polish. I had to tell her I would deal with it so she can stop. Her managers knowing and seeing all these mistakes that she was doing didn't even intervene and try to help her. I will never go back to this place... and I suggest you don't either. Over all, a very careless attitude from the entire staff. I have never left a place without leaving tip... however today, I did not leave a tip. Go anywhere else... but here, or just don't have Candy do your nails. read more

Since moving, I needed to find a new nail salon. This salon is very clean which is most important to me personally. I walked in and was seen right away for a pedicure. The woman that helped me, Joy, was very nice and gentle but still got the job done. The place was also decorated nicely. Good selection of colors as well. I've been using this salon since it opened. Not every 2 weeks but often enough to notice that it is never consistent. I either have a fantastic pedicure or I'm being rushed out the door. This past weekend, my sister and I made an appointment to have pedis together. The salon was not packed. We sat next to each other but when my pedi was over, hers started. I don't usually get a spa pedicure, their regular pedi is pretty nice and has always had a 10 min massage included ...not this time. If my whole pedi lasted 15 min that was long. I also had a woman who wanted to wear gloves, another issue i have run into in the past here - she seems to be the only one - however, her gloves are rubber and I am extremely sensitive to latex. I asked her not to use them and she gave me a hard time and spent the rest of my pedicure speaking her language to the gentleman sitting next to me and refusing to look at me.
