It's funny because my husband has been telling me about this place for some time & I had a list of things I wanted to try BUT the day I finally went, I wasn't too hungry so I settled for a cheeseburger. Which don't get me wrong, was still delicious! Service was really nice, the guy who took our order was nice & the girl who delivered our food was super nice. I've been coming to this urban plates for years now, the menu has changed a little since they first opened here, but it's still really good! You order at the register now instead of the counter so the flow is a bit better than before. Jay helped our group this time and he was super friendly and attentive. This location is amazing. Food is great, always the right temperature and service is always very good. All workers here are always eager to help. Ofelia and Carmen were very polite and helpful. A waiter named Diego is very nice. Overall the whole ambiance of this restaurant is great. I highly recommend this location. This review is long long overdue-- I've been coming to urban plates for quite some time & their dishes are so good & a good price range for the quality. I used to crave their meatless loaf, it was so dang good & I wish I figure out how to recreate it at home (please bring this plate back!) I usually come here right after working out in the same plaza to get a bite to eat during lunch. Their salmon Caesar is so flavorful. Most recently I tried the beets & avocado plant based bowl & it's amazing. I would have never thought to add beets with avocado & red onion but trust me it's so delectable. I don't know how they make the quinoa but it's so warm and filling of flavor. The service has always been consistently good & I've even had my daughter get a free treat from one of the employees. Indoor seating is a little more limited compared to outdoors. They have a mix of high top communal seating and booths. Outside has ample amount of seating. You order, pay & they provide you with a number & will bring your food over. Don't forget your utensils & napkins! They will be located right as you pay. Parking is always available, but keep in mind there are several businesses in the same area. Located on Imperial near the Whole Foods market. read more

When pre-covid & post-covid quality is the same, you know it's being done right. It's been a while since I've been here but the food was all hits and no misses. I tried out a lot of different items because I shared with two other people and I even ended up saving a lot of my meal to take home because I loved it that much. I ordered the barramundi sea bass with garlic parmesan butter mushrooms and mashed potatoes. This was phenomenal. The mushrooms had the most flavor and I used that to spruce up the mashed potatoes but the fish was herb-crusted so it didn't need anything. I also loved the chimichurri steak and they cooked it exactly how I wanted it: medium rare. Most places tend to overcook it but they didn't mess up either of the steaks. I tried this with the red and white quinoa with tomato pesto, which is such a healthy carb, and brussels sprouts, which is a seasonal item. The service was also amazing and I had a great experience from the ordering process to the delivery of our food since it came out pretty quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so if there's good weather, I'd definitely recommend sitting outdoors. read more

First time coming here and it was the most pleasant and filling time! Jay and Cisco were amazing! Being super helpful and attentive To even offering extra bread for my tomato bisque soup which was so so fulfilling and flavorful, offered a free cooking. Greeted us with such warming smiles. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely can see myself coming back and ordering some more food or even trying something new delicious on their menu, The ambiance is very robust, yet peaceful and enjoying the smooth jazz that's been playing. == FOOD == I got 2 kids meals: 1 chicken tender plate with mac n cheese side, and 1 steak plate with brussel sprouts. The chicken was very tender and there were 2 pieces, it also came with a sauce. To be honest, these kids plates were super big, and I couldn't even finish my plate. I ended up giving half of my plate to my brother who had the steak plate. He said the steak was very juicy as well and the brussel sprouts were seasoned very well. Could've been crispier though, he said HAHA == SERVICE == Service was very good. The guys handling the to-go station were super nice and got my order out quickly. == AMBIANCE == This Urban Plates no longer has the long queue line where you can see the food and order as you go down the line. I came here for lunch with friends and we all absolutely loved it! I especially like all the vegetarian choices that are available in each food category and the vegan menu. Service was attentive. They kept coming by to refill our ice teas. The ambiance is an urban modern feel with wood and metal mixed together. There is a nice outdoor patio. I had the mixed beet salad and I added grilled tofu as a protein. So fresh and delicious. A friend tried the urban combo half portobello mushroom sandwich and soup. Another friend tried the Mediterranean chicken bowl. As much as I loved my salad I'm going to order the Mediterranean bowl next time I come here. It looked so yummy. We were all trying to be good, so we didn't order dessert, but the cakes and the mango tart looked in incredible! One of my fav places to eat, the vibes are great, the staff is super friendly, and you get high quality food for a relatively cheap price. Love coming to Urban Plates! I've been a plate pass member since the beginning and the portions for the price is great. The dessert is also fabulous. I always get the mango tart as well. This whole tart can be finished in one sitting by the entire family. Also the staff is great (especially Adriana) and service is fast. Nice quiet most of the times but do watch out for the lunch and dinner rush. It can get crowded but the tables open up quickly. read more
