I'm a fan! I love their decor and ambience. It's urban yet chic, really cool and laid back atmosphere. It was hot outside so it was a pleasant surprise to walk into a well air conditioned, chill place. I was looking for healthy food options in the area and was debating between this place vs True Food. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the concept is very much the same as Tender Greens and Lemonade but with more options. I'm super indecisive, so I stared at the menu and food for a while. Good news, they let you try samples! There's a separate line for salads vs sandwiches or other stuff. Portions are big! You definitely get your money's worth here. Either that, or the gentleman helping me hooked it up! I chose the turkey meatloaf with BBQ sauce, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes with gravy. Bursting with flavor! I wanted to get dessert and Agua Fresca but refrained this time around. The only thing I didn't care much for was the focaccia bread. It looked better than it tasted, had a doughy texture when I was expecting something more hard. Pause. Needless to say, I left full and satisfied! Absolutely the best fast casual restauant that I've ever been to. The food is so fresh and tastes to good. Always make sure to get the chimichurri sauce as that makes everything here even more delicious. I usually get the chimichurri steak for $15 and a chocolate chunk cookie for $2.75. I was super excited about stopping here for lunch. Plenty of outdoor dining and the menu looked great... however, looks can be deceiving. I ordered the Chimichuri Grass Fed Steak. I was told up front that the steak would out rare to med rare (just the way I like it). It came out medium well and was very "chewy". I nearly choked on it when swallowing. While eating, a guy named Kyle sprayed the table across from me with disinfectant. The stream of disinfectant was so strong that it bounced off the table and sprayed my food. Overall, I was very disappointed with the restaurant and will not dine here again. read more

My family orders from this place a lot because it's very close and has lots of selections. This place used to be really good. Unfortunately, the food quality and service has diminished a bit. My dad and I ordered the salmon, which are our usuals. Not only has the size and quality of the salmon gone slightly downhill. My dad requested no bread but received bread and also wanted a Caesar salad as his side and didn't receive that side. My Brussel sprouts side was very good. They used to have a mushroom sweet potato onion medley that was phenomenal but it's no longer on the menu. Prices have gone up here too. Lastly, my brother picked up the order and took forever because they aren't organized. If you ask for an order for "John" and they have three orders for John, how are they going to know whose order is whose? Clearly the guy didn't know. My brother told him what we ordered, but clearly he couldn't figure it out. Maybe attach a last name? Phone number? Pretty simple fixes honestly. read more

I've been here twice and left feeling meh both times. Urban Plates is like a Tender Greens and Lemonade mash up but, worst lol. What I've Tried - Honey Mustard Salmon - Seared Albacore - Mac and Cheese - Mashed Potatoes and Gravy - Sweet Potato and Mushroom Hash - Beet Salad - Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade The best thing there is the mashed potatoes. Salmon and albacore were just okay. Salmon was on the drier side and a super duper small piece compared to the other proteins you can choose. The albacore looked better than it tasted. I got fooled by watching them slice it for the person before me. Mac and cheese is not cheesy at all! Mac and cheese lovers beware. Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade was more like watermelon flavored water. Never, ever coming back. :( read more

One of the BEST chain restaurants. I absolutely love everything about Urban Plates. It's like tender greens, but I would choose urban plates any day! This place makes me feel healthy, and it's extremely tasty! The interior and exterior design of this location is very nice. There is both seating outside and inside. If it's your first time, don't be too overwhelmed. The employees would gladly give you a run down. I would recommend getting the plate for your first time. It comes with two sides, rustic bread, and a protein. There two sides I got were the Brussels sprouts and the roasted potatoes. They were AMAZING! There is so much flavor in each side. I also thought I didn't like Brussels sprouts until I tried them at Urban Plates! My friend got the Mac and cheese, and it was really delicious as well. We both got chicken as the protein. It wasn't dry at all, and I loved it. I also really like their grass fed steak. Like their sides, the steak is nicely flavored. I got the passion fruit coconut lime lemonade on a whim, and I am so glad I did! I sampled it first, because I overheard someone raving about it. It's refreshing, creamy-like, and addicting! I usually don't go for coconut flavored things either. This drink is a must try. TLTR - Urban Plates is a very nice place to go for delicious food! Great place to eat for a decent price. It's basically a really nice cafeteria style restaurant. Reminded me of high school with my tray and walking down the line picking out what I wanted to eat . We had the steak sandwich and the salmon plate with Brussels sprouts and Farro salad. Both were very tasty and filling and we spent less than 30 bucks. The menu was super helpful and had the gluten free, vegan and dairy free options clearly labeled. It made it easier for us since we are both dairy free. We sat outside which the weather was beautiful and the perfect evening to sit and enjoy our food. Chefs and staff were all very friendly and helpful and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for delicious comfort food. There is street parking and plenty of it so at worst you may have to walk a block but totally worth it. read more

The quality has gone down significantly, both my boyfriend and I ordered online and got the Grilled Steak Plate, his came medium, mine came VERY well done even though I did not state in the order that I wanted well done, it was very dry. The gravy in the mashed potato had an odd taste, like it has gone bad or something, I also got the Vegan Tomato Basil soup and it tastes like straight up salty marinara sauce.
