Panera is our go to place to eat wherever we are the Los Angeles area. This time right after we secured the rental car, we drove straight to Panera for a tasty lunch. Large private parking lot. Indoor or outdoor seating. Service was nice. From the cashier to the staff delivering food to our table. Thank you very much. Panera's prices have gone up. Haven't been to a Panera Bread in forever and today I had to go an enjoy this missing part of my lunch life! The Studio City, California location is on Ventura Boulevard near Laurel Canyon! Tons of parking spaces in the huge back parking lot that is connected to many other shops. Stepping inside the Panera Bread I felt an amazing sense of calmness. Relaxation took over followed by the delightful display of desserts! There's a counter and a cashier or you can use a touchscreen to order your food. I did the touchscreen. Then paid with a card. Your name pops up on an ordering screen. We chose an indoor booth. The dining area is classic old school with browns, tans and grey decor. Our food orders were called. You will go to pick up your food at the area that is also for to-go orders. There are to-go napkins and utensils here as well. The lunch portions were fantastic. We had a soup and salad combo. The salad was huge! And a half sandwich and soup! With refillable fountain drinks. Your choice of carbonated soft drinks or iced teas. After lunch we went to the outside seating area to get some sun and enjoy the day. This place is great! read more

The silver-haired they/them goddess was absolutely wonderful and was beyond patient. They should get a raise. The food was terrible. It was nothing like the photos and the sandwhich was as flat as a crepe. I got the bagel stack. Lucky the taste was bomb af but it doesn't change the fact that the size was completely different from the photo. It's been awhile since I have been to Panera. All the stores close by to where I live are closed so no Panera for me. I got excited when I saw this Panera Bread location. I ordered the family meal which comes with salad, sandwiches and soup. For soup I got Broccoli soup which Panera has the yummiest one. For sandwiches I got two chicken sandwiches. Both of them were yummy and good. Didn't disappoint. Order comes with a baguette which was fresh and yummy. I liked the bread too. For ambiance, this location was clean and tables were clean. No trash or trays sitting around. The fountain drinks area was clean too. For service, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Lady who helped me was nice and friendly. Overall, all the staff I talked to were nice and professional. For parking, it is shared with other business. It was easy to find a parking spot on a Sunday afternoon. Wish I could give -99 ! I actually spent money in the store today unlike all the homeless and computer wifi moochers that sit for 8 hours and dont buy a thing . I was approached by a manager while eating and told that I couldnt have a bowl of water next to my table on the floor because it might make a mess. Never heard of this rule before ! I'll be sure to patronize the other Paneras in the area next time though !! Addendum : after using the restroom for 90 seconds, a 2nd employee came over to my table telling me I couldnt leave my dog unattended even though he was in a corner secured by a leash under one of the table legs. I usually come to this places to pick up my free pastry for my birthday. But recently, I joined the sip club and I have been frequenting this location. They had an offer that is hard to miss. $3 for 3 months or $3 for 5 months for new subscribers. This location is near my job and I usually pass it going to Fryman Canyon. So why not stop for some coffee or juice. The other day I received a coupon for $10 off. What a sweet deal!! I got me an Autumn Squash Soup and Chicken Roma Asiago Bagel Stack from the Pick 2 menu. The soup was delicious and hot that warmed my starving stomach. While the bagel is so good that I consumed it with gusto. The toasted bagel gave it a nice crunch. Soup is usually available after 10:30am even though it says 10am on their website. My server is so nice and she was able to make it work. They have outdoor dining tables and chairs that are nice enough to sit when the weather permits. Place is busy with all walks of life. This Panera Bread has become a regular stop for me over the past couple of months, especially since I joined the Sip Club. It's been fun working my way through the drink menu, and I've also tried a handful of the pastries too. Everything has been pretty solid (I particularly enjoyed the orange scone). I live nearby, so I pop in fairly often, and the coffee station is always clean and well stocked. The pastries always look fresh and tempting. The coffee itself is good quality, and when I'm in the mood for something cold, my go to combo has been the passionfruit green tea mixed with sparkling water. The interior has a comfortable feel, and I like the decor and the painting in my pic. Outside, there's a great patio space with a cute mural on the wall, which makes it an easy place to hang out for a bit, especially when the weather's nice. Its been a little too long since my last visit to Panera Bread. This weekend I had some errands to run and took my mother along for the ride. Since she doesn't walk very far distance I choose to pick my errands out carefully. While out it would be nice to get something to eat as well. Since its been a long time since my last time and my mother would rather eat food items that are softer, I felt that Panera would be a great option. We both ordered the Pick 2 option. The kiosks are nice as they display a photo of each of the menu items for my mother to choose. For her she got the chicken noodle soup + tuna sandwich. I chose the cheddar broccoli soup + Turkey bacon bravo sandwich. Not gonna lie the last time I've been to Panera would be about 8 years. The Turkey bacon bravo has been my favorite sandwich and I am happy that it is still on the menu. We arrived just before noon and there were plenty of seats to choose. The food came out fairly quickly which is a plus. My mother and I enjoyed our meals and she so pleased she said we should visit again sometime. I laughed and told her, "we haven't left yet, mom". I think its interesting if you sit towards the back entrance you can hear the music played since the ceiling is lower, it could be good or bad. There are also patio seating as well if you need to have some time in the sun. The restrooms are number padded and will need to ask for the pin number to get in. Men and Women's pins are different. Since when did Panera think they were 5 star Michelin? I just spent $50 on basically nothing! I got a Benny sandwich with bacon, what was supposed to be a bowl of French onion soup, a large soda and a sugar cookie. I used to be able to get the catering size soup for $20 and I could eat it for a couple days. The pic is of the "bowl" I'd hate to see how big a cup of soup is now. Don't get me wrong. So, I rectified that, oh yes, I rectified that and have been ordering at least once a week through Grubhub - always a chocolate chip muffin top and three macaroons in one bag. I love the muffin tops - that's what I'd always get there and they were, in fact, the first place I'd ever even seen a muffin top. And their macaroons are really terrific, which is good because if you've ever had a macaroon that wasn't terrific, you know how important it is that it be terrific. I have no idea what their sandwiches or salads are like and it's my understanding that many Paneras are struggling. This location is on Ventura Blvd. they have a huge parking lot in back, they have a front entrance, but not much street parking, so you would enter from the back parking lot mainly. Staff was friendly, seemed like quite a few employees at this location, which is nice for service. My good to has been the Ranch Cobb Salad, so fresh and tasty sub the green goddess dressing, really good. I am a member of the sip club, so drinks are always free as well. Unfortunately they were understaffed here which made did a stressful situation for the people working there. However that didn't affect the quality of service or my food. I got the southwest salad. Try it with balsamic vinaigrette instead of ranch. ; ) I also got the Asiago bagels which had no hole haha! The bagel was a little dry but not bad. I got both the honey walnut and plain cream cheese. Since joining Panera's Sip Club, I've discovered there are so many locations. I've been to many and my favorite is the Studio City location. This location is spacious, clean, ample parking and has the friendliest staff! Tanay always greets with a friendly smile and is engaging! David in the kitchen area is nice, friendly and efficient. I'm usually in a rush to get to work and he gets the order out quickly! I enjoy the convenience of the app or the kiosk inside. There's enough variety for breakfast or lunch or a sweet treat. I'm mostly there for the drinks though. The Sip Club is a good value. You'll get discounted offers for bagels, sandwiches and treats pretty frequently. They are such a help to the community! - Where else can one come and drink coffee and connect to free wifi, use the table, seats , outdoor or indoor and study, work, or get your life back on track - all while being able to charge your electronics and use the restroom without any sour lemon faces. I saw some bad reviews of this location. I thought they were isolated incidents, and it would not happen to us! I was wrong!! The employees were very helpful and so sweet...like the many options of sugar/sweeteners they have for the many options of coffee: light roast, dark roast, hazelnut, decaf. The grumpy manager, on the other hand, did not want to give us handle bags to carry our multiple trays of coffee. He claimed they did not fit inside well, but they fit perfectly. I understand cost and being green, but we really needed the bags today to bring to hospital staff. One of the turkey sandwiches we ordered had no turkey at all!! My dad was in the hospital and could not have what he asked for because of the egregious mistake of a Panera employee. I ordered and paid extra for extra feta on my half Greek Salad. Clearly, that was forgotten, as well! My Half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich barely had any almonds. There is a parking lot shared with many other businesses including Vons, but you should be able to find parking even during busy hours. All these mistakes and bad reviews should not happen, or at least occur less, if there is good management and training. I have owned a restaurant, and this experience was horrible!! Delicious but expensive! My coworker and I always have trouble deciding what to order for lunch but this week, I had a special request. Soup, all I can eat right now is soup. I have tmj so there are days where I can't eat solid food because my jaw and head hurt so bad, also it was my coworkers birthday so, I thought I'd treat him to something nice. I got the autumn squash and a broccoli and cheddar soup. I requested the autumn soup without any pepitas but, they put them on and doubled it. I was a little upset about that but, the food was so good I can't complain too much. The broccoli and cheddar was delicious as well. I live 5 minutes away from Panera Bread and always forget to come and eat their DELICIOUS food!! This past few days I came twice back to back and had one of their delicious sandwiches and added chicken to it. I threw the receipt away and forgot the name of the sandwich. The bread is toasted so well that all the ingredients melt in your mouth along with the bread. Everything that they have is vey tasty, fresh, flavorful, clean and healthy. I have tried their soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, their baking goods, bread, smoothies, coffee, juices and I think I pretty much covered everything that I have tried. In total I have been to Panera maybe like 8 to 10 times in 30 years that I have been living in Studio City. I have noticed a change this past couple of years that I have been going there. Food tastes much better, and service has also gotten better. It used to be a very cold atmosphere with unwelcoming employees and the food was very BLAND. Like I have already mentioned...good food, extensive menu, very authentic in so many ways, clean restaurant, friendly customer service and cute, big quiet patio sitting. The reason that I am giving 4 stars is because it is a bit pricy and the portions are not enough for my stomach and it even looks smaller in your big plates and bowls. I had to ask for missing items in the order and utensils etc. The worst part (and more to the fault of the parking lot itself and not Panera) was walking back to my window smashed in the parking lot. We placed a large order about 3 or 4 days prior to delivery date for a breakfast party at our office. We requested the food be delivered at a specific time because our technicians come early and leave for their days work. Not only did the food arrive over an hour late (and cold), half of our order was missing because "their oven broke" (they could have at least delivered the portion of the food that was ready on time). Most of our technicians came before the food was delivered and there was no food available for them which we promised. This made us look horrible in front of our staff and technicians. The Panera Bread workers also gave us attitude when we called to follow up on our order. The manager called us later on and did not offer any compensation nor apology for their negligence. I was in the area and decided to stop by Panera for lunch. It had been a while since I've been to a Panera, but thought about the good old days when I used to visit more frequently. Seriously like my fruit or a side of chips, on Tuesday they forgot my side of baguette and today I get a bagel but there was no cream cheese even though it says it on the tag the bagel was bagged in. They even charge you extra for cream cheese on your bagel and still forgot it. They have $1 delivery but every time I end up without an item so I would say it's not worth it.
