Stopped by on a rainy day, but that didn't stop this cafe from being packed. I get it though, it's so cute and cozy! The only downside was the long line, and it was moving very slow. It was my first time there, and after looking at the menu for quite some time, I spotted a drink called the Green Rose Latte. It had my two favorite things - matcha and earl grey tea. With the addition of the rose and the oat milk, this truly became an all time top 5 latte for me. I got it hot, and it was the perfect temperature as soon as it got delivered to my table. I love this drink so much that I'm already planning my next trip to come back. My friend got the Honey Vanilla Latte, also hot, and that was incredible as well. We paired our drinks with the fruit tart, which was a little too sweet for our tastes, but we still enjoyed it nonetheless. The coffees and teas are premium as well - the roast of the coffee might be the freshest and most earthy I've ever tasted. But it's nearly all undone by longer than expected wait times (as a rule), frequently mixed up orders, and a higher than average price for nearly everything on the menu. Ambiance also tends to be consistently nice if you are meeting up with friends. Today, I went with their banana creme pie and it's a really nice individual sized pie. What's not to love about a banana cream pie with chunks of banana over a graham cracker crust? I do enjoy their desserts and breakfast items at Urth. I saw a matcha tiramisu on the menu, but it wasn't in the display case today. If I see that next time, then I'm getting it. To go with my dessert, I had a red thai ice tea with boba. The drink was okay - the boba was passable - acceptably chewy, but bordering on hard. Their version of thai tea isn't as half-and-half forward or sweet, which can be good if that's what you're looking for! Wife got a vanilla latte, which is pretty consistent. as i was waiting for my drinks to be made, the gentleman making the drinks put his hands in the trash twice and never washed his hands after which means multiple drinks and lids were being touch by this man's contaminated hands. I spoke to the supervisor and explained what i saw and asked them to have their employee to wash his hands. I saw the supervisor speak to the employee and after they walked away the employee completely ignored their supervisor, never washed their hands and continued making drinks. As soon as my drinks were made I took them to that same supervisor and told them that their employee never washed their hands and made my drinks so I requested a refund which I got and to again tell their employee to wash their hands and remake my drinks. The supervisor did so but again the employee continued to ignore the supervisor and made drinks with dirty trash hands. Always love coming to Urth. I got my beloved Spanish latte and the eggs Benedict plate. Both were delicious and satisfying. My friends got a huevos rancheros pizzas and Iced Spanish and Iced Pistachio Latte. They also got a bread pudding and a banana waffle (not pictured). They enjoyed their meals. They recommend sharing the pizza instead of getting it individually and skipping the bread pudding. The banana waffle is delicious. The service was quick and efficient. Our food was out in 15 minutes and we had a big order. The staff were kind and helpful. We ate outside and the tables were clean and separated far enough so we could have privacy. It's not fast food, it's a busy and cozy cafe. A place to live in the moment and relax at. I ordered 3 items: huevos rancheros, a small mocha mint, and the churro pastry. The huevos rancheros was overall good. It was the perfect portion for me. I really enjoyed the mocha mint. Next time, I'll be ordering it without whipped cream because it melted halfway through and there was a thick layer of oil on top of the coffee (normal for real whipped cream). I took the churro pastry home and it was delicious. I've had cheesecake from here before and it was excellent. Every employee I interacted with today was incredibly friendly. The sausage and potato omelet was good just a typical omelet kind of lacking flavor. The eggs verde was good too - didn't have as much flavor or spices as I expected. Also it was missing the bread - there only seemed to be one gentleman working in the whole seating area so he was very busy but we were able to grab him after a while. He was very nice. The seating area was very busy so we had to wait a bit to get a table. We went on a Wednesday morning so I was surprised it was so busy. I used to go to Urth Caffé a lot at the Downtown LA and Pasadena locations, so it was nice to see they have one here in Orange. I was craving French toast and went with the French Toast King. It was good, though I wish it had more pistachios or almonds on top. I ordered the Sunshine Smoothie, and my husband got the Spanish Latte. We also tried the New England Clam Chowder--both of us thought it was a bit watery, but the flavor was still good and it had plenty of clams. You order at the counter first, get a number, then find a seat and the servers bring your food. There's self-serve water off to the side. It was a little chilly in the afternoon, so we asked one of the servers to turn on the heat lamps. read more

Date: 11/05/25 Time: 8am Crowd: Only 3 of us ordering (pretty empty compared to the longgg lines and orderly service at other locations) I know customer service can be difficult - especially when the espresso machine resets (temporarily not operational) and bedhead customers are struggling to wake up - but PLEASE try to put on your best poker face and contain the eye rolls when you have to explain to a non-native english speaker that she can't have hot chocolate and why. We had afternoon tea at Urth Caffé Orange on Monday afternoon. We waited in line for 10 minutes to order. The service was not that good. The cashier was impatient when I mistakenly ordered something wrong. She gave me a cold look and threw the menu at me to look at, which was unprofessional. I mean, this was my first time visiting. I didn't need her to introduce her favorite items, but at least she could have politely informed me if I ordered something not on the menu. We tried their Green Rose Latte ($6.75/small), which was very good. It smelled and tasted great. The Cappuccino ($4.50) was also good, and the cat latte art was so cute! The iced Spanish Latte Granita ($7.50) was good too. The Pistachio Tiramisu ($7.95) was so delicious! I like their interior design, which was very open and relaxing for chatting and eating. The corned beef hash was delicious. It came with short ribs and potato chunks. I asked for sunny side up eggs instead of the poached egg which they usually serve it with. I would definitely order it again. We sat in the back patio which is better than the inside which is quite noisy and the seating off the street. The back patio also has heat lamps if needed. Service was prompt. Cashiers were friendly. The banana cream pie was one of the delish desserts. The crust has a nice crunch. This time we ordered the salmone poached egg served on French bread, pumpkin pancake (seasonal and one of their popular items), chocolate pistachio croissant, green rose latte (includes matcha, earl grey, rose tea), and coffee. Everything on the menu that I've ever tried tastes fresh and flavorful. Even though we went on a Monday, there was a long line of 10-20 ppl formed behind us so we beat the rush by arriving there around 9am.
