As a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur, this place definitely is worth a try. Specialty selection is different from your usual coffee shops and are crazy good! Not too sweet and not too bland. Shoutout to Yelp for recommending Baba's to me this morning, I'm so glad I came across this place! Baba's is located in the corner of this plaza off Katella, they have plenty of parking available nearby (most of the cars in the lot today were parked for Baba's which is saying something). They have a few outdoor tables and a bunch of indoor seating, with a really cool decor inside (loved the simplicity of it all while feeling authentic). The line was out the door the entire time we were there, which was so awesome to see. Service was fantastic across the board, especially with how many people were in line (the staff was communicative and apologized for the wait and made sure every customer was satisfied). This was definitely one of those times I felt like it was worth the small wait. I tried a bunch of drinks, so here's my thoughts on each: * Strawberry Matcha (iced w/ oat milk): loved this, the strawberry was fresh and the sweet cream was a nice addition. * Fig Matcha (iced w/ oat milk, half sweet): really liked this too, I think half sweet is the way to go. The fig was a great compliment to the matcha. * Knafeh Latte (iced w/ oat milk, half sweet): This was good, the cream on top was rich and flavorful. If you like Knafeh you'll like this. * Vanilla Cardamom Latte (iced w/ oat milk): My favorite drink (I am a sucker for cardamom drinks), it was super flavorful and the cream was rich and really made the drink stand out. I also tried their chocolate chip cookie and everything bagel with za'atar cream cheese; both were good but the drinks are really the star here. I can totally see why the line was out the door at this place, it absolutely deserves all attention it's getting. They just opened a month ago so be patient while they work through the growing pains, but I definitely recommend checking it out. Before I get into the coffee and food, i just want to HEAVILY appreciate the atmosphere of the coffee shop.. wow wow wow. There's so much to not only look at but to take in. So much attention to detail.. the dining area was full of community engagement. That definitely shows in there drinks and food, very intentional. I got the knafeh latte and the baba special- both were great but knafeh just had that little crunch that made it my favorite! The food? I got the za'atar cream cheese bagel.. chef's kiss! I am always excited when a coffee spot opens near my house that is not Starbucks. So you can imagine how happy I was for this one which is only two blocks away.I finally had the chance to try it today. It's a pretty nice and large with lots of seating and it is nicely decorated.You can tell that the owner put a personal touch to her coffee shop. I ordered the knaffee latte. It's so refreshing to see a community based coffee shop thankful for local customers and passionate about what they do. I need to meet baba because I am absolutely obsessed with this place!! Service is amazing everyone is so nice and helpful! The inside is so beautifully decorated and there is plenty of seating, along with a couple tables outside as well. I ordered two drinks , the fig matcha and the knafeh latte. Both are out of this world! The fig matcha is the perfect amount of fig to matcha. Not overly sweet but still able to taste the fig. I saw on my Instagram feed that this coffee shop was opening up and knew I had to stop by eventually. Safe to say I was not disappointed at all. Baba's Coffee Corner is such a cute coffee shop with such a meaningful backstory behind it, tying in the OC cafe culture with a Palestinian twist. Sophia, the owner, is a delight to talk to and is behind the bar making the drinks herself. My friend and I both got the Knafeh Latte, which was perfectly sweet and encapsulated the authentic knafeh flavor into a latte. Their merchandise is also adorable and I had to buy a "Bint Baba" (Daddy's Girl) hat with my drink. The space in this cafe is ample and they have outlets on the wall, perfect for studying. Overall, this cafe has quickly risen on my list of Orange County cafes that I enjoy, and I will most definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Really beautiful new Palestinian-owned coffee shop in the area that I finally got to check out. The interior is so cool and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into the decor and ambiance. I'll have to try this place again when it is less busy, as it seemed they were slammed and interactions with the cashier were a bit curt as a result.
