There was a long line and it was a bit of a wait for my drink order to be ready. I ordered the Thai Red Tea Boba - blended. It was too bland in my opinion. The boba had a good chewiness consistency.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it was delicious the place was amazing. I got Fresh Corn Waffle Gluten free and Prosciutto & Cheese Breakfast. This place has good workers that make the place great also they are very friendly and helpful for anything.

Brunch date on a Sunday morning in Old Town Orange and had a lovely time. The weather was nice and it was amazing to be surrounded by friendly people. I actually moved to the City of Orange in my early 20s during MY college days and IMO at that time, it was truly a retirement town. It was always peaceful where traffic was at a minimal and everyone's bedtime was by 10pm. I recalled being a typical Asian woman driver and always went the wrong direction at the roundabout. Things have changed so much since then. My own son has already graduated from college and now accompanies me going to that same roundabout, except now there's a lot more nicer restaurants and bars. We made our way to Urth Cafe and it wasn't as busy as I had expected, especially when compared to the locations in L.A. and Pasadena. I personally think this is my favorite location so far because it actually feels cozier (my son said the same about the cozy vibe). We both ordered an Omelette - mine was a Pesto Chicken with cheese. I actually requested to not have Goat cheese on mine but it came with it - so that was as why I had to remove 1 star out of 5 :( My Chicken soup tasted marvelous and my Latte was beautifully crafted. It was a great Sunday and I was so glad my son also had a great time!

My boyfriend and I decided to visit Urth Caffe because we haven't been in a while. We ordered a few different food items and drinks as well. There was indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit outside because it was a nice day Food Avocado toast: 5/10 The overall flavor profile was bland, but it was a good portion Breakfast burrito: 8/10 The burrito had a lot of flavor, the sauce was good and the portion size was perfect Nutella Bun: 7/10 this was really good, but I wish it was warmed up a little more to make it softer Drink Iced Spanish Latte: 2/10 The latte tasted like milk with a hint of flavor. The glass was also large and the portion was a little much Service: The service was good! The checked on us frequently because we still had a number at our table. I'm a big fan of Urth Caffé--the food is consistently good, and the overall vibe is amazing. The location at the Orange Circle is one of my favorites. Sitting outside and watching people pass by gives it such a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during busy times, but there are paid parking options nearby now, which definitely helps. Just be prepared for a long line when ordering--it can get pretty crowded--but honestly, the experience and quality make it worth it.

First, I love this location compare to other Urth Caffe because it's spacious and conveniently located in old town Orange. Service is a bit slow because we did not receive our drinks till half way finished our order. Food was delicious though. Ordered the chicken curry sandwich, Urth farmer's salad, matcha rose latte, and Caffé pistachio. Liked the face they let you choose the intensity of coffee. I ordered the strong one and it was good!

We'd been here one other time on a previous Cali visit but all we got was coffee and a pastry. This time, we went during lunch time to see if their food was just as good (spoiler, it's even better). We came in when the line was to the door, which moved pretty steadily despite that. They have complimentary water dispensers, one regular and one with fruit in it. This was great for refilling our water bottles before leaving. The service at the counter was great and the prices for the food seemed accurate (considering there are organic and local ingredients). We sat down and waited about 15 minutes for our food.. perfect. As shown, the servings for evening was hearty and that's exactly what we both needed! The pancakes were the BEST I've ever had, and that's saying a lot coming from me. I wish there was an Urth in Arizona so so badly, because we'll miss the food a lot. I also had another encounter at Urth when we ordered some to the hotel. Unfortunately, our driver brought someone else's food, but after calling Urth they still had my order so I drove down and picked it up. Let's just say, their green juice is killer.. 10/10 across the board

I've been to my fair share of trendy cafés, so walking into Urth Caffé didn't exactly shock me... but I will say, it still knows how to put on a show. The vibe is undeniably cute. Like, dangerously cute. The kind of place where even waiting feels aesthetic if you're in the right mood. Every corner feels curated, the crowd is very "students with laptops and iced drinks," and even the indoor seating had this warm, almost cinematic feel to it. Unfortunately, I didn't get to fully soak that part in because the experience quickly turned into a bit of a chaotic food journey. Let's talk about the order situation, because wow. Somehow, we ended up getting our dessert first, then a smoothie, and then finally the pizza. I wish I could say it was part of some artistic dining experience, but no, it was just confusing. By the time the margarita pizza came out, it felt like the emotional climax of a very disorganized story. And honestly, it took way too long for something that simple. It got to the point where we had to get up and check on it ourselves, which kind of breaks the whole relaxed café illusion they're going for. I get that it's busy, and trust me, it is busy, but there's a difference between high energy and just feeling overlooked. That being said, I can't sit here and pretend the place doesn't have charm. It absolutely does. The vibe is strong, the people-watching is top tier, and if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind a little unpredictability in service, you'll probably still enjoy yourself. Just come prepared. Come with patience, come knowing it's going to be packed, and maybe don't expect your meal to follow any traditional timeline. It's a beautiful, bustling, slightly chaotic experience that feels more about the atmosphere than the execution.

We were here mid-Easter morning. Urth is a cool-vibe place and, remarkably, had plenty of seating given the number of people who were there. The line went quickly and the cashiers had excellent knowledge of the offerings. I ordered the D'Lox toast , which was very good. Plenty of lox and fixings. I wasn't a fan of the English buckwheat toast crust, but enjoyed the bread itself (I'd never tried this type of bread before, and was raised to try everything once, so no regrets). The Spanish Latte is one of the specialties. It was really satisfying and whatever the mystery ingredient is kept me guessing and interested. My husband had the dark house coffee, which he really liked, and the sausage and potato omelette and accompanying salad was a hit. I asked one of the staff for coffee bean recommendations. He suggested the house dark for my husband, the house light, for my son, and another type for a friend when I told him their preferences. He really listened. We returned today and I had a killer mushroom omelette. I had a cup of the house light, which, if you like light coffee, is very good. My husband had the Italian omelette and the dark coffee, and he was very happy with both. When you're in SoCal, don't miss out.

I'm sad that I didn't take a picture of the delicious Pecan Pie we got but I did get one of this yummy honey vanilla latte. It was strong and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was quick for the large amount of consumers they had. All staff were super sweet which made the experience real nice. I went back to Urth Café for brunch today for the first time after a long while. This location is at the Orange Circle in old town Orange. There is lots of parking near and around the restaurant but it is a very busy area. So, you may have to park on one of the adjacent streets. The restaurant is in a historical building that dates back to the 1800's. The interior has an industrial charm and Victorian elegance like most buildings in that part of town. The interior has High ceilings, exposed brick walls, artisan tilework, and wrought iron accents. There is lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor sidewalk seating with market umbrellas. I Love the big Island with high chairs where you sit around the island top fire pit. It is a cozy, and social friendly arrangement. The restaurant is loud and vibrant creating a warm, bustling atmosphere. As you arrive, you are most likely to find a line. You must place your order first, grab your number and your order will be delivered to your table. They have a pamphlet menu. The Menu is extensive with sandwiches, salads, soups, plates, egg dishes, pancakes, french toasts and so much more. They also have lots of coffee, tea and other beverage options. I recommend that you grab one of the menus and decide on what to order while waiting in line so, that you do not hold up the line or feel rushed when it is your turn. Today everyone in my party ordered the same dish. We got the mushroom omelette. As far as I could tell. It had mushrooms in it, cheese and onions. On the side, we got hash brown and two slices of French baguette with butter. It also comes with a salad, but it really, is just one Leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato. In other words, not much of a salad at all. It looks more like a garnish than a salad. The omelette was pretty good. The hash brown came in the form of two potato cakes and were OK. We wanted them crispy, but they tasted more like boiled potatoes. For beverage, I got the café pistachio, which is sort of a pistachio latte. It was really good. Just lightly sweet. Just the way that I like it. In conclusion. The food was good minus my hash brown. I enjoyed my coffee and everyone liked their dishes. The space is beautiful and has a good energy to it. Everyone is friendly. The Service is really good and prices are average. So, overall we had a good experience. I recommend Urth Café

It's always a good sign that the place is packed when I got there. The service was efficient despite the long line. We sat outside which had a nice European cafe vibe. I ordered the huevos rancheros pizza and the Oreo cheesecake. Their pizza had a pretty good size and was packed with toppings. It was a little greasier than I thought it would be but the flavor was there. The cheesecake was a as liitle too dense but had good flavor. Overall good value

Vanessa was helpful and patient with me as it was my first time here and I needed some time to look over the menu. She's seriously great! The food was really good if a bit pricey for the amount that you get. The wifi though-- only worked for 5 minutes and then it stops working. :( tried turning it off and on again, but i think it locks you out after a few minutes. shame since I was in the middle of writing an email and I really need to send it soon. read more

I had been to the location in Laguna Beach and this location lives up to the standard. The food is excellent and the dessert is of course fantastic. The coffee is always good as well. My only gripe with the place is the pricing as it is pretty pricey for the portions but still a very good place. read more

I REALLLY did not want to make this review but it is a long time coming. I have loved Urth Café for years and was so excited when they were coming to the Orange Circle. However while the food is amazing the service here is literally unbearable. Every single time I have gone in the last two years is all long lines, not using a gift card because they told me I have to go online and figure out the amount myself, taking 20 minutes to get a drip coffee, I could go on. While today's incidents is honestly typical it did initiate this bad review. I ordered a coffee online because I did not wanna wait in a long line it was supposed to be ready by 2:17. I got there early and they said they were working on it now, I had to run out and take a phone call and figured my coffee will be there waiting when I was done I was wrong. I had to wait again for them to tell me they were making it right now even though they had told me that over 30 minutes earlier... I paid ALMOST $8 for a normal sized coffee and Did not get it until 2:43. & you can see on my text I ordered at 1:42, meaning IT TOOK THEM AN HOUR TO MAKE ONE LATTE ‍ The worst part is there was no form of "how can we make this better" on their part whatsoever. Yes the food is good but honestly the service there makes the experience horrible every single time. read more

After many months of anticipation and one failed attempt due to a long wait, we finally tried for a evening dessert. We both ordered a decaf coffee and then split a pastry. I wasn't crazy about the coffee (at least for that evening) and the dessert was not as decadent as it looked. I do like the fact that they have a very large amount of indoor/outdoor seating and a large bakery case...and also a regular menu. I will definitely give it a try again some time soon and happy for the new addition to the Orange circle. read more

Went here recently and did a to-go order. I like this location significantly better than the Laguna location. The only downside is that it toke forever to receive my order (only 2 drinks). Blueberry cheesecake is honestly a fucking must, it never disappoints. Only reason I'm giving a three is because the service is inconsistent. Whoever the chick was who took my order was so rude it totally killed my vibe! I came in with a smile craving my cheesecake and she just sounded so depressed and rude, like I get it working sucks but like you're getting paid and y'all still asking for tips? I've been waiting forever for Urth Caffé to open an OC location! Even better that they opened a location down the street from my house! They did an amazing job on restoring this building. It is absolutely beautiful! We came here for brunch and saw a long line outside. I really wanted to eat here so we decided to wait. Do not be discouraged by the line!! The wait wasn't long at all. They let people in groups at a time to control the crowds inside where you would order at the counter. Once you order, you get a number and sit down at a table. We didn't have any problems finding a table. Our drinks came first, then our food. We ordered the items below- Avocado Toast - loaded with avocados! Super delicious! I added heirloom tomatoes on top so it was super yummy! The bread had a perfect amount of crunch. Next time I will order with a poached egg! Natural Beef Hash - perfect blend of short ribs, potatoes and poached egg! The bread I think should be toasted but the flavor was delicious! We also ordered the Japanese Matcha Latte & Spanish Latte. Both were delicious! The matcha was not grainy and powdery at all like other places. It was smooth and light. Very enjoyable! Everything was delicious! The manager, Andrew, came over to check up on us to make sure everything was ok! Excellent service! I know lots of people are complaining about service but they just opened!! Give them a month to work out their kinks before judging. If the service is bad a couple months down then I get it. But they just opened so it's expected that it will be a little chaotic until they get their routine down. My family owns restaurants so I know how it is!! We will definitely be returning in the future and this place is my new favorite brunch spot! read more

I really enjoyed my Honey Vanilla Latte I ordered here. It's conveniently located at the Orange Circle and the staff was really pleasant and courteous. Ambiance wise - I wish they had better lounge / co-working space because with the amazing quality of their coffees and teas, it would be a prime daily grind location. Lines can be long at certain times of the day/week. I'll be trying the food soon and will update my review accordingly. read more

We love Urth Caffé! Great food, great service, and a great environment! Their menu has extensive with a variety of types of foods, including some amazing desserts. They also have an awesome coffee, tea, and juice bar. You won't regret stopping in for a date or work meeting. Check out some of the other locations as well, always located in high-end districts. read more

Oh my! Where has this place been all my life?! The Spanish latte is the best! And that crusted French toast... mmmmm. If you want to be healthy then try the salmon locks with cream cheese... yum! My favorite part is sitting outside and enjoying the busy downtown humming and buzzing around. Nothing like enjoying your morning coffee in the early brisk morning air. Only downside is the parking. Even early turning the week is a challenge. And with snooze down the street this area is getting more and more challenging to find parking. Not the best place to meet up with people for a coffee or lunch meeting if they don't know the area. That's my only reason for not giving 5 stars. read more

I wanted to take a moment to write a review for urth cafe - I rarely go here but it's one of the few places open past 9pm with a wide variety of options food and drink wise. However, I wanted to give a compliment and shout out to the gentleman working last night (Thursday, 3/28) in the blue polo shirt - I assume is maybe a manager? Anyway, I was waiting for a friend that I was meeting there and I was standing off to the side and was approached by a man, so I moved to another area and was followed by this person. I decided to leave and wait for my friend elsewhere so I circled around - until I saw that person was also circle around. I went back inside and was approached by a worker (again probably a manager) who advised me they witnessed the situation and kicked out the man, he let me know that it was important that I felt safe and comfortable in their establishment. As a woman, it was nice to know that the staff really keeps an eye out and does what needs to be done in these situations. Thank you!!! read more

I was so disappointed that the guest service in this location always seems to fail me. I keep coming back because of the product but I think after today I'm done. My family and I would drive the hour place to visit these cafes in Los Angeles. How sad to me that I don't even wanna drive down the street from my house and enjoy their delights only because of the staff. Although the food continues the legacy, I will no longer be eating here. read more

I'm really disappointed in the fact that my silverware was dirty I had to get up and ask for plastic silverware after the whole pandemic still going on it's honestly crucial that they aren't being sanitary. *POOR RATING FOR COVID PREPAREDNESS* Like this place, but FYI, not safe in Covid environment. They still hand out laminated menus; you have to touch the card/keypad for payment, and they ask you to sign with pen for credit card! Not sure why these procedures haven't been changed to be touch-less. Cafe is also super crowded, so be prepared if you go. read more

I love the coffee here ! What makes it special is the selection of strong or light espresso (dark vs blonde roast). On Monday they have discounted coffee, which is even nicer. If you visit Old Town Orange you will surely notice this place. It is always busy, so the line at time can be quite a drag. But also the setting is very European and sets for a unique at atmosphere. I really have enjoyed my visits to this cafe for the coffee. The food on the on the other hand is okay. The inside fire pit with high chair sitting is very welcoming and makes one of the rooms feel very cozy. read more

Yesterday was my first time visiting this place, although I didn't dine in, and simply went for a pick up. I was truly impressed on have efficient Isaac works. I personally think an important factor of a business success are there employees & Isaac was organized with handing out orders and as someone who tends to do pick ups quite often I understand people who place orders tend to do so to either not wait to long in line,might be in a rush or perhaps they just don't like to be in crowded place for too long, but when you have someone working at a place where you're able to receive not only your order properly but quickly I think deserves recognition. read more

I've been waiting for this location to open for a while, so excited an Urth Caffe opened closer to my house, I love Urth Caffe, the drinks and pastries are amazing. This location has limited parking so you have to drive around a bit, but the inside is gorgeous, great sitting space and a friendly staff. Urth is not a cheap place to eat, depending on what you order it can be around $30 for a meal, drink and pastry but you should try it at least once! read more

Re: Our visit at 8:45 p.m. on 12/06/20. Disorganized, lack of leadership and bad customer service. Waited 31 minutes for an order that consisted of two hot coffees. There was no efficient flow in place. One employee didn't know how to make herself useful and kept pacing from one end to the other, then an employee wearing his Chargers sweatshirt (unsure if he was on the clock) came behind the counter/ work area, pulled his mask down and gave the female barista directives to stop what she was doing and take orders out to a certain table. All while the slew of customers were waiting on orders - After their five seconds of yes/no bickering of course. At the very least show customer service and maybe announce appreciation for everyone's wait. SOMETHING! Horrible service. read more

Fancy Coffee place in the Orange Circle on the corner next to Boss Kitchen, and a Starbucks, that definitely will close down. So many options, choices, it was overwhelming. Went w/ a few girlfriends, early on a weekday. Atmosphere was open. But of course this was again during a workday. We all got coffees. I got signature coffee cold. Very tasty. Some pastries, and one friend ordered a spinach omelet. Plenty of seating outside. I can see it fully crowded on the weekend hangout. Pastries were typical. The friends plate looked wonderful, and she said it was very tasty. We definitely said we're returning. Being born and raised here, whomever is helping the Orange Circle come alive with eateries is a Genius... but let's not let it get to busy with too many more, as a courtesy to its wonderful residents. read more

Ordered pick up on a super busy Sunday morning and the staff was so kind. They are super busy at this location, but they were quick to help me. They were also really nice to me and their fellow employees. It can get stressful in a coffee shop nowadays and I feel for the staff wherever I go. I just try to be patient and appreciative when I visit. I go for good coffee, but I also like seeing people enjoying their time. It's not just about one person. I appreciate you all. Play is located in Old Town Orange off the main circle in this beautiful historic bank. It honestly feels like a pop up within the bank because the rest of the space isn't being used at all, so I really hope that changes and they actually take time to do more with the space because it feels like such a waste and kills the vibe IMO. Staff is all nice, and they move pretty quick considering how busy they tend to be. On the drinks front, I usually get their cardamom latte, which is great, but I've noticed as of late they've been underserving on their drinks which is a bummer (the shrinkflation is real I guess). They also serve some various baked goods which are fine, but not great. Overall, Play has a lot of potential to be great, but they've got a ton of stiff competition in the area. I'd say it's worth a visit, but don't go out of your way for it.

I have to admit that the Aussie style breakfast is along with different twist on certain things that you wouldn't typically have for breakfast or initially caught my eye. I started off with the golden latte. It was a beautifully balanced turmeric latte with almond milk with a perfect amount of sweetness. Not only was it gut healing, but it's super warming on a chilly morning. While I was looking over the menu, I was between the breakfast burrito since everybody was ordering it or the soft scramble with chili oil. I landed on the soft scrambled chili crunch. It was served with a half avocado and rye toast the others in our party ordered pancakes, bacon, a chicken sandwich and a Yuzu drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and beautifully plated. I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. I cannot wait to go back to Bluestone Lane to try other menu items.

We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

As I'm writing this, I'm a little bit stoned and a lotta bit drunk on my day. Today was my second visit to Urth Cafe. First time, I had the stuffed French Toast and the Spanish Latte and both were amazing! The ambience is warm and extremely inviting. The service was quick and courteous- simply put, it is exactly what you would want. But today, I got the Pizza El Diablo and upon first bite, I knew this was gonna be an experience. Good food, should be just like good sex. A space in time where you find yourself and lose yourself at the same time. Where you want to devour what's in front of you. But only after you pause to appreciate it. This pizza tasted almost as good as my girl looks. Disappointed by the Service at Urth Caffé I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to Urth Caffé was frustrating enough to warrant one. I ordered a cold brew coffee and waited over 30 minutes without any update. When I finally approached the counter to ask about my order, I was met with dismissive and rude responses from the staff. There was no apology, and no urgency to resolve the issue. For a place that prides itself on quality and ambiance, the customer service was shockingly poor. Waiting half an hour for a simple coffee and being treated with attitude when asking about it is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and trains their staff to treat customers with basic courtesy. read more

But the ordering process, utilization of tools (Saturday night only using two registers when they have up to at least four available) and food value is terrible. I ordered a quesadilla (Vegan), the kale salad (which was overly acidic - no counter citrus or sweet ingredients) and the tostada that fit into a cupcake box to go for $45. No beverage or dessert. I have been to Urth 3 times in the past week @ the Orange circle location with my adult daughter as we truly enjoy their coffee and Avacado toast. However, their employee Jack A is extremely rude and condescending! Sadly both times that he took our orders he continued to be annoyed if he had to answer any questions regarding the menu. He stated this is not Starbucks! We weren't comparing companies! We had asked to talk to the Manager however he was on his break and not available. This has to be the worst place to go to eat if you expect to get your food at a reasonable time. What is it about the yuppy places hiking up prices especially by colleges? It's not like the food is any different than a regular diner. The service here is so slow that by the time you get your food you'll be finished with your coffee or it'll be cold. We also loved the Steak & Eggs, Blackberry Stuffed French Toast, and the complimentary Pan Concha bread. The Matcha Margarita and Mango Margarita were refreshing and unique--perfect for brunch. Everything tasted amazing--¡Está riquísimo! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the relaxing atmosphere made us want to stay longer. Plus, there's free parking, which makes the visit even more convenient. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it if you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot in Orange County!

Finally a couple weeks go by and we get there with the line not too busy so we wait for about 20 mins in line with only 5 people ahead of us which I felt was a bit crazy but we're already here. Finally we order and get a breakfast burrito and a torta to eat in totaling out to 35$ just between those two items, but hey if it's good who cares right. We notice that there is no assigned seating and we're told to grab a seat where ever we liked so we go to the only table available inside about 10 mins after sitting and waiting for our food one of the waiters comes up to us and tells us we can't sit at the table because it's meant for a bigger party and that there is a table all the way in the back next to the restrooms that we need to move to because they need to save this table in case a big party comes in. I told her that these were the only seats available when we got here and i'd have no problem moving if a bigger party came through however there wasn't anybody waiting in line or ordering so we were gonna continue to wait here. the waitress proceeded to tell me that she doesn't know how else to say this but we aren't allowed to sit there, and we just exchange awkward silence. she gave up after about a minute of telling us to go to the back of the restaurant. All this could be overlooked if the food was amazing so i was really hoping it would be good and then finally after about 16 mins of waiting and being told to move by staff the food comes out. the waiter drops my plate so that it clatters as it hits the table and the nail in the coffin is that the food was honestly borderline bad, burrito lacked seasoning but was smothered in salsa to attempt to hide its mediocrity, it came with two more salsas on the side and chips but the chips were cold and stale unsure if they just gave me old chips because they were upset with me not moving to the back for them or if their chips are always that stale and unsalted. won't be making a return save urself the money and go try any other Mexican place their food will be better and cheaper.
