I had a mail hold- when I went to pick up my mail they said it was out for delivery, even though when I placed the mail hold I requested that I would pick it up. The mail never arrived. No one at the office could help me find it track the mail that was lost. They continued to say it was with the carrier out for delivery- they continued with this response for a week. It's no wonder the post office is going broke. Nobody trust them anymore, especially me. As a business owner I ship all the time, and most of the time they are fine. For the past 3 Christmas seasons, two of them have resulted in large amounts of stolen packages from the dock. I was told to leave packages on the back dock, because I have so many to ship over the holidays, then when they get stolen from the back dock, then it's "why did you leave them there?' This last holiday season, 21 boxes were stolen, and the p.o. takes no resposibility, and the same thing happend 2 years ago, when 19 boxes were stolen. I have tracking numbers for all, and because they were not insured, they will nothing about it. If you look at instructions for insurance on the Click n Ship website, they only tell you how to prepare your packages so they arrive safely. They don't tell you that you should insure your packages because their employees cannot be trusted and use the loading dock as a shopping spree for their own use. This has been very bad and expensive for my business. I have lost customers because of the actions or inactions of the post office. Unfortunately, they know they have us by the throat when it comes to shipping. I also found when I went to complain with my batch reports as evidence of there being no record of my shipments, I was treated very rudely. They know there jobs are secure, and connot get fired. They have their pentions and full benifits no matter how they treat us. Do we really want the government to handle our health care when they can't even ship a package? It should be no surprise to most that the post office is massively in debt...if any other business performed like the post office they wouldn't last 2 weeks. This post office is a classic example of why. The lose mail, doesn't even attempt to deliver packages, treat customers beyond rude (I've not had any bad interactions but I've had enough "line time" to see how they work) and always have the attitude of not caring. If you hate your job, change jobs but when one of your jobs is interacting with customers, at least try to act like you care. If this review does one thing, I hope that is to prepare you for your visit hear so you can be mentally ready for poor service and bad attitudes....that way it isn't so bad. Cheers! :P read more

The worst experence of my life. I was expecting my monthly package from Amazon last Wednesday . Amazon notify me that they could not deliver package. I do not live in a secure building ( never had a problem before). Turns out the package never left the post office. Guess the carrier was not in the mood to delivery . I had to call Amazon to request my package to be delivered. Post office said it would be delivered the next day (never happen). On Monday I called the customer service to the post office that took over an hour on hold to get a human. They gave me the number to consumer affairs in California. That took 25 minutes to get a human. But they called the post office and told them to deliver my package . My package was at my house 15 minutes later. After Finly talking to the post office manager she could not see the problem. She said you could have picked up the package that I paid to have delivered. I have a new package to be delivered on monday. I'll post what that experience was like. They are a nightmare read more

The post office on Hollywood way in Pacifica is a really good one sometimes seems to be a little crowded because everybody goes to that one or used to go to the one up on Burbank up in Burbank on Olive and I still enjoy going there because it's an old one people are always nice with the post office you can't beat them but Hollywood Way and Pacific is the best one to go to Quick easy in and out or just drive up to the mailbox and post your letters read more

I like this USPS branch because it's on my way Home/Work. This post office also has the passport office located inside which gets ridiculously packed on Saturday. As far as government employees go these guys are pretty nice. There is ample amount of parking and if all else fails just park on the street. They also have drive up mail boxed on both sides of the parking lot so you can drop off no matter what entrance you use. If you need to use the post office after hours you can use the 2 automated machines right inside the front entrance. One thing i don't like about this branch is the lack of supplies, it seems they always run out of boxes. read more

Like previous reviews posted, it's traditionally not a fun time at the post office. You would always have to expect long line, and very impersonable staff. ....BUT I feel like I haven't experienced this yet at the burbank post office. I send out business mail every week and the staff is always friendly and remember me. The lines go quickly most of the time, if there even is one. I am moving to Burbank and unfortunately didn't get keys to my mailbox for my new condominium. The HOA doesn't have access to those keys, as they are federal property. I called another post office yesterday and was promised a call back from Dave Hernandez, but he never called. After some trouble getting a hold of that post office, I tried calling this one and spoke to Sandra, who was very helpful and gave me the number to call consumer affairs at 661-775-6681. Consumer affairs was able to patch me through to the supervisor at the previous post office location (I'm stuck with that one because they service my new condo---wish it was this one instead), but as of this moment, I still don't have the issue resolved. However, as far as this post office is concerned, I was able to get a lot of help. read more

This review is for VINCE. I bought something online and weeks had passed and I was wondering why I didn't get a refund I contacted the seller and said I needed a tracking number. This was weeks after my visit so I didn't have it I was devastated! I went to the post office and the line was short and some guy helped me I told him if there was any way I could retrieve my tracking number/ receipt. He immediately said no. Vince over heard and was able to help me out using a bank statement. The fact he offered to help and overheard my situation was a big deal! Great staff. Most seem friendly on the surface.. The reason that I am giving a low rating is I have recently had two (yes two) $50 gift carts come up missing that were being mailed for Christmas. If it were one I could accept that it was lost in the mail but not two and not during the same mailing.. Also when I handed the cards to the counter clerk (I was buying stamps at the time) he felt the greeting cards and flexed them as to determine contents. I thought it was odd but it being government figured it was safe.. I was wrong and am now out $100.. This happened at the same post office last year... Do not trust this post office. If you need to mail a gift card sent it from another post office and send certified. That way there is a trail of accountability. read more

A couple weeks, ago my neighbor Ruth came to me to ask her to help figure out how many stamps it took to mail a first class letter that was heavier than the 3.5 oz. limit. I told her I don't know and offered to drive her to the post office at 2140 N Hollywood Way in Burbank. We waited in line for a short time and then we were helped by Tari. She was very patient as Ruth is 72 and not as fast as she once was. And Ruth had her fix all the stamps on her envelope (5) so that it could go first class. After that is when Ruth mentioned that she wanted it to get to its destination the next day. Then Tari patiently, without any sign at all of exasperation, which I was feeling, re-applied all the stamps to the overnight envelope and had Ruth pay the difference the stamps did not cover in the overnight fees. It took quite a while to get it all straightened out, and Tari was patient and kind through the whole thing. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to give this young woman a shout out as a kind and valuable employee of the Post office. read more

Tried to pick up a package that was being held for me the other day and was told to come to the far window to "pick up." The lady went back to get my package and brought it to the front where i was standing. She asked me for my ID and I quickly realized I had left it at work (I was there on a break from work) she informed me that I wouldn't be able to pick it up until she saw my ID. (understandable, given all the stolen packages lately) but it's not what she said that upset me, it was the way she said it. She was short and very unkind. If she had spoken to me a little nicer I probably wouldn't even be mentioning her in this review. I went in today again to simply pick up said package, and walked up to the "pick up" window I mentioned earlier and waited for a few minutes expecting to be helped. Instead, I was very rudely yelled at by the man working the next window over. He instructed me that I was to stand in line, just like everyone else. He was not kind WHATSOEVER. I have worked in customer service long enough to know that kindness or even a smile goes a long way. My experience here was less than ideal and i would even suggest management to maybe give their employees some much needed customer service classes! read more

This Post Office is horrible. The last time anyone sent me something via mail, they lost it and cannot find it. I lost $100. Now today my package was scheduled to be delivered so I stayed home all day. I just checked the status of my order and the Burbank post office says they left a notice because I was not home so it wasn't delivered. I have not left my home all day. What a liar. And just try to phone the post office. It will ring a million times and no one answers. I hate the USPS I will never accept a package not shipped by UPS or Fed Ex. Horrible work ethic. Very cordial situation I ordered live reptiles five exotic lizards shipped overnight somehow they were delivered to the wrong address and ended up at the post office facility I tracked the package and went there the next morning I was told by the supervisor they did not have them and they were not available he suggested they had been shipped to the mail service which is a post office box at the UPS store after contacting them and the pet store that sold them to me we all have the same info the United States post office had him took me over an hour and a half driving and waiting 20 minutes just to speak to this manager who sent me home without my exotic lizards the whole time I was fearful they would die I want to small business myself so I put my employees on it the rest of the day trying to figure out what happened to the package we did everything in her power and the next day we finally discovered that they were back at the Burbank post office my office staff called and spoke to a lady there who is extremely helpful. She located the reptiles confirmed they were there at first the same supervisor told her that it wasn't possible to deliver the lizards to us and that we have to go back to pick them up I was frustrated and got on the phone personally this young lady went above and beyond her Colin duty and made sure that she personally drove the package with the exotic reptiles to us she showed up shortly there after at my office I happen to still be there and we open the package together the lizards were perfectly safe alive and looked happy if it hadn't been for her they probably would've died and no one else at the post office would help us or really seem to care. People like this make a difference in our world today when everyone else seems too busy to care and be human and do what they should do in the first place when they have the leverage of thousands of drivers that make deliveries on a regular basis and were able to help a customer with live reptiles which they were paid to ship and handle in the first place and made a mistake about read more

I can't even count the amount of times this post office has screwed up my deliveries. I receive a lot of packages for work, and just in the past month have put in claims for THREE missing packages. All that have gone unresolved and no one cares to help me. Everyone has told me there's nothing they can do. It's absolutely ridiculous they can just lose (or maybe steal) packages left and right so easily. I will even schedule to stay at home on days I have packages that need to be signed, and SEVERAL times I have done that and received an "attempted delivery" notice on my tracking info online. But there was NO letter left on my door and NO actual attempted delivery. These employees are lazy and LYING. If you put in a request to redeliver they NEVER do it. So I save myself the trouble and pick it up myself at the office since they are too lazy to do so. The staff in there is extremely rude as well. This post office is the worst I have ever visited. Service is horrible, not once, not twice, not three times but many times. They have lost my packages, wasted my time supposedly looking for them on several occasions (45-60 minutes wait), they never answer their phones, they promise to call you back when package is found (never do)and are extremely rude. My most recent visit this past Wednesday 02/24/16 I went to pick up a package and had my slip in hand, and as always line was long. (Usually at the right of the counter they take your slips to retrieve your packages without having to wait in line.) I waited patiently for the person in front of me to finish and when he was done i showed my slip when Mr. Seng rudely announces loudly, "GO TO THE LINE, YOU ARE NO ONE SPECIAL " I could not believe what i had just heard. Mr. Seng was rude and very unprofessional. I was so embarrassed. I don't understand why this post office allows these kind of employees to continue to treat their costumers with such horrible service. Don't they get it, with all the negative feedback they have? I don't usually write reviews but this post office needs to change their staff. I have lived at the same address for over 3 years and still have problems when having a package delivered to my home. There have been several occasions where I did not receive my package and I have to continue to call to get answers about where it is, they tell me the coordinates show it was delivered at my address but nothing was there. 2 years ago, I was waiting for a package to arrive and tracking it on my phone and it said out for delivery. I checked a couple minutes later and it said undeliverable. I was home all day that day and nobody came to my door and nothing was left at my mailbox. When I was leaving I saw the mail truck on my street and talked to my post man and asked him why he didn't deliver my package when I was home. He had my package on his truck and didn't even attempt to deliver it but marked it undeliverable. I always receive packages from UPS and ontrac all the time with no problem I don't know why USPS always has problems. My carrier is either lazy and loses packages or is stealing packages because I never receive it if it comes through USPS. I'm going to have to start delivering packages to my work because of how unreliable they are. This post office needs to get their act together!! read more

Went to this location today after encountering obscene line at one on Riverside. Best service I have received at an urban USPS. Mary, who appeared to be a supervisor, worked the line to ensure pickups got out quickly, customers were ready with all they needed when an agent became available and she also directly helped some customers who did not need paid services. This post office is AWFUL. After dropping off many packages from our ebay business at a local postal annex, and having issues where USPS wasn't updating tracking on those packages, I called the Hollywood Way office. They told me the only way to get an acceptance scan on packages (so the buyer knows it was shipped) was to physically drop it off at a USPS location, not an annex. Ok, so my wife goes to the Post Office this week with a stack of prepaid packages. The guy manning the "Self-Service" area offers to help, and my wife makes the huge mistake of taking him up on it. He takes the packages, puts them God knows where, and there is no acceptance scan or proof that the packages were mailed. My wife was unaware of this and would never have accepted his help. So now it's days later, there's still no update on tracking, and after multiple phone calls I was finally told that they won't be scanned now until they ARRIVE at their destination. (Not to mention, reps hung up the phone multiple times as I was calling.) Why on earth would I pay for tracking if it's not going to be tracked? Bottom line: Tell the "Self-Service" guy to keep his "help" if you want your packages to actually be tracked. If you give them to him, good luck. Scanning the bar code on packages before they leave the post office is apparently more effort than the staff is willing to expend. read more

I can see why this post office gets a low rating. I've never really had a problem with them until this morning. I've always had no issues picking up my packages that I missed from them. But today for some reason they couldn't find my package. In the past I've always been in and out with no issues. But today I was there for almost an hour waiting for my package. The lady that helped me was polite but she didn't really seem to know where the package was and didn't even bother to ask for help to find it. I asked what the problem was and that in the past I've had no problems and all the packages always go to the same address so I don't know why they can't find it. Then she said that they don't know where the carrier put it. So I asked if they don't have a specific area to put people's packages when they leave a pickup slip on the door. She said yes but they are not sure where it is and they'll call me when they find it. It's Saturday and they close at 3 and I'm working until 8 and are closed on Sunday's. Another burbank post office with employees with a IQ -1000 went to ship out a item that I've shipped before several times so i know the approximate amount which is $41 give or take a couple dollars varying on state being shipped too, waited in line for about 20 minutes walk up to the counter and am told its going to be $132 dollars so I explain to the retard that I've sent this same item same box same everything and it shouldn't cost over $41 then she gets her measuring tape again and said yes that's the cheapest price $132 so I just get my package and leave go to the usps on olive and encounter another batch of retards telling me again! It's going to be $132 take my package and leave once again finally go to the usps in Glendale on Louise and finally a employee that knows what she's doing!!! Worst post office ever. They cant even figure out how to hold mail properly: I went in to put my mail on a vacation hold from the 16th to 22nd. When I got back home early there were 3 packages on my door and mail in my box. Clearly nothing got held. I went to the post office the next day because I tracked a package I was suppose to receive on the 20th and it was being held. I got the package and told them to please resume my delivery as normal. Fast forward to the 22nd and Im not getting mail. Went back to the post office, got my mail from the past two days and said "please make sure to resume my mail now". I even spoke with the manager, who seemed to not give two s**ts that I had an issue with the vacation hold. Now two days later I am for whatever reason still not getting mail. I have to wait until monday to go in for a 3rd damn time to tell them they need to start delivering to me. How hard is it to read "hold from the 16th to the 22nd" and do it??? How hard is that? When I have to come in 3 times to beg you to deliver my mail that is just insane. I dont know what to do now because they clearly dont understand the words "resume delivery".
