This US Post Office is so close to my house. I hardly go inside to do whatever I need to do. It is not a very big post office, but does the work for all your needs. Whether it's mailing letters, packages, buying boxes, stamps, bubble wrap, even has a nice selection of greeting cards. Has all your necessities and essentials. Everything depends on weight, length of the item and all prices vary. Earlier this morning I walked in to mail 2 letters/bills/envelopes and one package. There were 4 people in front of me and 3 employees were working in the front. They cleared that line so fast and it was my turn. They greeted me nicely, and everything went without a hitch. I also bought a booklet of stamps. Being the old school that I am, I still do some things the old school way. Whatever works for you. They have 2 mailboxes in the front for your convenience when the Post office is closed. Place is clean, and has few parking spots in the front and limited spots behind the building. I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. There is a female employee (as I believe), with a harsh voice and dark hair, who is extremely rude and unreasonably picky. She criticizes everything, speaks in a disrespectful tone, and her behavior feels borderline discriminatory. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I witnessed her treat others similarly. Im so angry i have a package im expecting so i had it delivered to my work address so i know for sure i will get it. Two days now the postal person who has it has listed the address as "closed unavailable to deliver" LIAR!!! I work there its a walgreens we are open from 8am to 10pm 7 days a darn week so you are a liar!! The times were 4:39pm on sat ... which i was working till 6pm so yeah it was open and the second was 5:09pm on monday which again i was working till 9pm so yeah we were open. Im not at all happy and where is out normal postal guy he would NEVER not deliver my package he knows us all by name so tell the new guy or the one covering for him to donhis job properly!!!! read more

I have zero complaints about this post office, now I need to knock on wood! I'm not a usual customer at a place like the post office but over the past two weeks, I've been in twice for stamps and mailing a package. The parking lot is small but I've managed to snag a spot or one directly across the street on Laurel. The line is typically 4-5 deep and the staff all seem very quick and efficient, which you have to appreciate. It was my first time mailing a flat rate priority item and they helped me me quickly with the perfect size padded envelope and showcased a level of patience with me that was admirable, as I filled out the label with the lengthy addy that I was shipping to. I want to say I highly recommend this post office but at the same time, if I'm going to keep coming here I surely don't want anyone else coming ;) if so, go at a different time than I am. The place is completely reasonable in the later afternoon hours. If you can love and appreciate a post office, this is surely the one - big kudos to the staff here who keep things moving like a well oiled machine. Downgraded review because your mail will also get stolen out of the mailbox directly in front of this location. Also as mentioned before most of the employees here seem to have been transferred away from better locations, because they had customer service problems, and were offloaded to this location. If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place makes me want to move from here. They constantly can't deliver any of my packages. For some reason UPS, FedEx and amazon all find a way to leave packages at my door. But not USPS. Their standards to leave a package are too high or they are too lazy to come up the driveway. And when I go to pick up the package they shipped it back. This place is horrible and service is terrible. Rude staff. I wanted to get mailman a nice holiday gift as a thank you but will never!!! POSTAL FRAUD - be aware, we mailed our property tax bill and earthquake insurance bill from the blue mailbox in front of the post office. Both were taken, payee information whited out and replaced with the name Cornell Givens who then cached the checks. When we told the post office about the incident, a woman in line behind us said she had the same thing happen a week prior. We have reported to the postal inspector who has opened an investigation. The female employee I initially spoke with was lovely and very professional. However, after attempting to fill out a simple form, an old white male employee named Mike started yelling at me for a good 5-10 minutes. After trying to explain to him a usps employee had told me completely different information on the phone, he got more agitated and kept talking over me and repeating the same thing over and over again. When I calmly told him he was being rude condescending for no reason, he basically flung the form at me and told me I could step out of line and give it to a DIFFERENT employee when I was finished... this man smelled like a straight up bar. It was obvious he'd been drinking because was yelling in my face for no reason. Your employees should not be drinking on the job. This man has serious anger issues and should probably not be working around women. He made everyone in t he store really uncomfortable, and it looked like he threw my form in the trash under his desk as I was leaving. Everyone else at this branch is very professional and the supervisor was very kind to me on the phone today. That guy should probably not be working any kind of customer service job if he hates people so much. He was scary. I will never step foot in the usps again. This is my new go-to USPS in the area. I was going to the one in North Hollywood but it's absolutely disgusting and most of the staff is rude. However, this one in Studio City is the complete opposite. Reasons to visit this specific location: - No homeless/transients sitting out front - Clean - The self-serve kiosks are in a separate area so you can get in and out - Friendly staff - Decent parking (the front has a few spots but if you drive in the back there's more) - I drop off 10-25+ packages/day with prepaid labels, scan them at the kiosk, and drop them in the bin... they all go out that night or the next morning. I have very happy customers. - Easy to get in and out of the parking lot People on here complaining haven't been to an actual crappy USPS. USPS is never perfect, nor should it be expected to be. read more

Man this location is SLOW, and there is always a line. So if you have to go here to get something mailed be prepared to wait. There are a lot of other problems with this location as well and I'll go into a little more detail. They are always understaffed. As I mentioned earlier there is always a line and the line would move a lot more quickly if they ever had more than one or two people working the counter at a time. Unfortunately, they do not. So no matter what time of day it is you will always end up waiting. Now, they do have self-service kiosks, however they do not work very well. And there are going to be a lot of transactions you aren't going to be able to do on the self-service KIOSKS. To make it even more unfortunate, sometimes you aren't going to know which transactions you could or couldn't do at the self-service kiosk. This location does have its own parking lot in the back, however, it is always full. There are only a few spots that are for post office customers, and they are always taken. So you might not only have to wait once you get inside, you might have to wait in order to be able to park to get into the post office. Several times I've had to park over in the Trader Joe's complex, which I know you're not supposed to do, but I do it anyway. And you might be thinking, "It's okay Adam, I just need to drop something in the mail slot. I'll just drive in and out again." Well, remember how I said there was no parking? That's right. And what a lot of people will do is they'll just park in the drive thru and get out of their cars and leave their cars parked there while they go inside. So even if you're just looking to drop something in the mail slot you might not be able to actually get to it depending on if somebody was a jerk and parked there. Now I don't have a mailbox here. But I imagine that would be the only easy thing to do at this location. Assuming you were able to find parking you just go in on lock your mailbox and leave. So all in all not a great post office location. If you're like me and this is the closest one to where you live you'll probably end up coming here anyway but if you are able to go somewhere else I would highly encourage it. P. S. I am hesitant about low reviews for businesses like the post office or the bank because they are usually people complaining about the long lines which are inevitable, but this place really is poorly managed that I can't imagine it getting more than 3 stars from anyone. First of all the parking situation here sucks. There are probably 5 or 6 spaces, 2 of which are handicapped so you have to be really lucky to get a spot. There is a drive thru mailbox so you can drop off your mail but otherwise you have to get in a really long line made even worse by social distancing which puts you halfway out the door. The package drop off box when I was there was broken and boarded up meaning I had to drop off mail in a hamper or wait in a really long line for a receipt. I debated about the receipt option but the service was so slow and unhelpful that I just dropped off my packages and left. I can't find myself visiting this location again. I was met by a gentleman that pulled out all stops to help me find the package. We were able to quickly communicate via hand written notes. EXCELLENT service from Mahbub today! My son was super-excited b/c his new phone was scheduled to be delivered today (after taking the SAT). He had gotten up early and walked to school then walked home to find out that Best Buy screwed up my order by leaving off our unit number. Our USPS carrier marked the item as "Insufficient Address" (instead of checking our mail boxes). So, we went over to the post office. Mahbub said he didn't know when the carrier would be back. He took a pic of my ID (with our address), took our phone number and wrote the tracking number on a paper to post for the carrier along with message to not return the item to the Best Buy warehouse. We thanked him and walked out. As we were driving away, Mahbub walked outside with the package. My son was so excited, he jumped out and left the car door open. Mahbub told us to come back in and go up to the counter. He closed my door while my son ran inside. Mahbub told us that as he was posting the note, he looked down and saw the package sitting there. (How's THAT for timing!?!?). I'm amazed that he actually came outside to find us instead of just leaving it for someone else or just calling. THAT'S awesome service that deserves a post. read more

The mailbox where I live was vandalized and my car registration stolen. I put a vacation hold on my mail to be safe but for whatever reason I continued to receive mail. When I got in contact with this office about it, they claimed there was no hold. I had to tape the confirmation email to my mailbox as proof that they shouldn't be delivering mail to me (or anyone using a clearly broken and compromised mailbox). When I went to pick up my held mail, the employee clearly didn't know what to do and I think he just went in the back and stood there for 10 minutes and returned claiming there was no mail. My SO and I then decided to get a PO Box for sensitive mail. At the time, the PO Boxes were 24 hour access, something we SPECIFICALLY sought out when choosing a PO Box location, shortly after, they changed that with no compensation for those of us affected by the change. I tried contacting their liaison about it and was ghosted. Thanks Peter Boughan. Despite having the PO Box for about a year, being told we'd only receive mail from the names registered to our Box, we consistently receive mail for someone else using our PO Box address and even receiving it AGAIN after sending it back with "return to sender, no longer at this address" I've received passive aggressive notes written on packages and in the mailbox by the mail carrier at my home address. Lost held mail at this post office. My mail delivered to the wrong PO Box, who's holder kindly sent back to me. And more things I can't recall off the top of my head. This usps location is awful, the employees are not helpful, the mail carriers are bafflingly petty. This is a government office, they receive good benefits for what they do. I don't understand why on so many levels they are failing to do the bare minimum with something as important as people's mail. read more

I had put a temporary hold on it since I was leaving town for a spell, but after canceling that, they continued to hold it. What, oh what, was I to do without my Pier One Imports coupons, my Oriental Trading Company junk mailers, my cell phone and credit card bills and most importantly, my latest score on Ebay!! Investigation was needed. And so I journeyed on down to Studio City Post Officeville and waited in the seemingly always long line. I don't know what it is about this location, but the wait always seems immense, but oh well, I needed to find my mail, so wait I did. When it was finally my turn, Larry called me over and I was instantly happy. He kinda looks like David Crosby and digs the Beatles. I know this because he happily shared his recent box set purchase story with the man before me. See, I like that, he's putting a personality with the otherwise hellish post office experience. After he set up my poster tube for proper mailing, he then went to explore the back and find out what happened to my mail and after about 2 minutes, bingo! My mail was back in my happy arms and said eBay score was in clenched hand! Weeeee! All in all, it was a successful 10 minutes spent and while my heart still belongs to the Magnolia and Whitsett post office, in a pinch, this is a fine location :) read more

If I could give negative 5 stars for Postal Worker, Mahbuv's customer service I would but I'll just submit a complaint letter. It's unfortunate in a time when people are choosing more and more to use the USPS' competition you still have rude employees that give other hard working postal workers a bad name. Mahbuv was extremely rude while I attempted to place a hold for pick up for a package that CLAIMED TO be attempted hours before even though I'd been home all day. It was as if I were complaining or blaming him. I asked him very calmly to have the package held for pick up so that it didn't happen again the next day and he went in circles saying he could not provide that service. In the end, he says well The process is that I cannot provide the service but my supervisor can. I don't have time to continue this game of word play so I ask for his name and he sarcastically says "Do you need my social too". My favorite post office in the Studio City/NOHO/Sherman Oaks area. Really friendly staff, shoutout to Debra (i think) for being incredibly helpful and so so nice. If you're trying to run a business during the holidays, I recommend using another post office. I dropped off a A bunch of orders on December 1 and they have now been scanned on December 4. This is absolutely unacceptable for packages to be sitting there for three days until they get scanned and acknowledged. read more

My temporary mail carrier supposed to deliver a package that required signature. I was home, but was not aware of his delivery until I later saw a notice of undelivery posted on my door. I came to the post office to pickup the package, but it was still with the mail carrier. I expressed my disappointment, and was unhappy. The mail clerk immediately called for a supervisor. Supervisor Pauline offered a solution - she asked the mail carrier to redeliver the package the same day. To top it off, she later called me to let me know the mail carrier's arrival time to ensure that I would not miss him. Supervisor Pauline has demonstrated an exemplary customer service, which should be widely adopted by all postal service employees. read more

I'd pick this one over the one in North Hollywood, and I've tried both. There are more automated postage machines, and it is easy as pie to toss your packages into a container that is provided, instead of waiting on (not in, on -- it's a New Jersey thing) line to hand the package to the desk clerk. Tips: 1) park in the lot to the south of the post office 2) go to Harvest Moon afterward for a fortifying coffee 3) If you need to copy anything before you send it, there's a small copy/keys/mailboxes place across the street. read more
