ABSOLUTELY A NIGHTMARE. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND All I wanted was to send two packages. Plain and simple, right? Nope. The lines are *emphasis* longgg and the service just plain sucks. The Korean lady working at the counter was rather rude and wasn't able to answer my questions. She refused to let me mail my packages via regular mail and forced me to get Priority Mail, which meant a whole lot more money out of my pocket. She said something along the lines of because "they wouldn't be able to return it" to me. I don't want the packages to be sent back to me, I just want them to be sent to the addresses on the box. Don't go to this post office. If you want to mail something, try another post office. Any other post office should be better than this one. read more

Good experience here mailing a package to my friend who is serving in the Peace Corps in Madagascar. Interacted with all three staff members who were working, and they were all competent and helpful in choosing the right packaging receptacle, completing the customs form and checking out. In four years of posting letters first class with no tracking I have NEVER had a problem until I had to start having one delivered to a Dublin address. I have no doubt that this post office lost or mis-delivered a very important letter at the beginning of August 2018. It has caused all sorts of trouble and worry. I am located in Houston, Texas and shipped a package that ended up for delivery at this location, it had Signature Confirmation attached to it and for reasons unknown my recipient was not able to sign for it and also didn't see the notice they left. The information provided by online tracking was insufficient in letting me know what the exact status of my item was and I was really worried it had gotten lost. I ended up finding this location through the national hotline and asked the postmaster here to help me find it. Not only was he very pleasant over the phone he was also incredibly prompt and called me within the next hour or so to let me know that he had it. read more

The self serve kiosk was stuck when i tried to stick my package in. I knocked on the door after hours to tell them but they kept telling me they're closed. Very unprofessional. Should be doing their job instead of playing around. I had to yank it out the slot and broke my package. read more

Terrible service. I ordered a 2-day express mail to deliver my court letter so that they would receive it on time. The post office guaranteed it will be delivered and received on the 2nd day before 3:00PM. It was delivered and received on the 5th day so it was 3 days late. read more

Great place to come. They are helpful, friendly and always nice as can be. I think most people who complain, are those who can not figure things out of their own, if you plan to "ship" something, you should go to the USPS website and get your information straight before you come. Learn what you can and can not ship. The rules are to protect all, and the nice employees do not make the rules only enforce them. The employees are there to "ship" your packages not pack them for you. And do not get mad if them because you waited till the last minute to "ship" something you need there tomorrow. I've been here several times. Lines have been pretty long but it looks like the staff tries. The post office in general needs to do a better job of putting out better information (like a menu board that's clear and explains each item). it seems like every other person asks the same questions about which service they should use. Reduntant and wastes alot of time, thus the long lines. read more

This place is just a normal post office so to say. the only downside is that the parking lot is always full. Traffic definitely gets congested here very fast and parking runs out quickly too. Luckily lines for the post office everytime I went were not too bad compared to other post offices I've previously been to before like (San Ramons post office). However this place is just average. It is my civic duty to give this place a poor review.... I rarely have a good experience at the post office, so I try to stay away from live postal workers as much as possible. However, their online shipping is pretty limited to the point that you can really only use fixed price shipping if you try to use their online service or their kiosk. They don't really allow you to send first class unless you suck it up and go to the counter to ship. This morning I went there with my daughter at 10:30 am. What time did I leave the post office? At NOON. My daughter watched countless youtube movies while I waited in line 3 times. I had to ship something to Germany and it was so expensive so I tried my best to ship it at the cheapest price. These women who work there act like they have no common sense and leave it up to you to figure out the best way to ship. I have also noticed that the post office is trying to get people away from shipping first class. They want priority or express because they need money and are going broke. So they are not going to try to help you save money shipping. They will do their best to make it as expensive as possible to ship using them. They are pretty much useless. I recommend you go on line to figure out what you need first, then go in there and try your best to not interact with these ladies at the counter. They take FOREVER .....and if they send you away to come back, it is not true - there is no jumping to the front of the line, especially when other people are waiting patiently. Once you are bumped, you are going to be waiting through their hellishly long lines. They are VERY VERY VERY slow. They are not nice and they will also try to get you to argue with them just to make it more unpleasant. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just throwing our packages in the trash.....what a money sink.....after I repackaged what I was shipping for the 3rd time, she tells me that it's too late for it to arrive by Christmas even though priority mail is supposed to arrive in 3-10 days for international shipments. When I asked her the arrival date, she snidely said "Next year." She kept trying to start an argument with me. She could have said - it will not be able to arrive for Christmas or New Years. After twice questioning what she meant, she said it would arrive within 30 days. it cost me $50 to ship 6 lbs to Germany and the best they can do is 30 days.......... I have been there before and have seen people be really rude to them....One time this Korean lady was working the desk and a Caucasian man kept acting like he could not understand her english. He basically refused to talk to her....I had to volunteer to translate what she was saying to him.... the toughest part about witnessing these women work is that they work at a snails pace and they don't appear to be too sharp....so there's so many occasions where they can make a mistake....I mean - people just buying stamps...it takes them like 10 minutes per person to help them buy stamps... I definitely think supporting USPS versus fedex or UPS is the way to go, but it is not for the faint of heart. If you go in with the lowest expectations possible, you will leave feeling like you were at least mentally prepared for the experience. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I had a package to be sent locally and even made next day priority just to be safe. Well the lady assured me with a "guarantee" it will arrive tomorrow afternoon. Well too bad whoever was sorting the package sent it to the wrong address!!!! Idiots shouldn't be too hard to read a package that has Dublin and ZIP code instead they are sending it to San Ramon? I tried calling the help hot line and they are just as useless because if they can't help situations like this why have them be employed? Overall I might not get my career job over this, and I spent an extra li $5.50 for them to mess my package up. Thanks again big corporations, for screwing us little people. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. For the first time today I went there about 4:45 pm. I had a package to ship international. I asked the guy was there for my options. He just said "use any of those envelopes over there" that was not friendly and what I was expected. I prepare my package and the forms, it turned to 5:00 PM . He didn't accept my package and said "you should pay for the envelope and come back to shipping that tomorrow by 10 am". I said " I am not here to buy envelope, if you are not going to ship my package, I am not willing to pay any money". He waste the envelope and didn't let other lady also to ship my package as well. Absolute WORST customer service ever. The staff are rude, inconsiderate & could care less about what you have to say. I had dropped a package off and within 10 minutes of doing so, i realized that I needed it back because I forgot to add something to it. Two staff members told me that I would need to pay to get my package back. When I asked why I needed to pay, Debbie and some other Hispanic women with glasses rudely told me that it was because they would have to stop what they were doing to help me. Your working in customer service, your suppose to freaking help people!! They said that no one else could help me when there were people in the back just standing around. On top of that, they move like snails and the line was piling out the door. These people are idiots and should not be in customer service. There is usually only 2 windows open, and a long line. It is a small USPS, and their customer service could use an upgrade. The second time I went here, I used the shipping machine to ship my package because there was an incredibly long line to see a life person. There was an Asian lady who worked for the post office came out of the back room and kept budging into the machine to "make sure I was doing it properly" - she also did this to several other customers ahead of me. This was quite annoying, and if she really wanted to help, she should have opened another window to see more people. Try to avoid this post office if at all possible. read more

Wow! The customer service is SO bad! I went in today and i got there seconds before they shut the doors for the day. Someone walked in almost 2 minutes after they closed and they lady told the man that they were closed, when the man stood there for a second the lady gestured "shoo shoo" with her hands. SO RUDE!!! Another lady with her daughter asked a question and the lady just answered that she didn't know...never even making eye contact with her. I get that they are closed and that at some point they need to cut it off, but geesh, a little friendly customer service would be nice. This post office closes at 5:00. I walked in at 5:00 on the dot. The door was unlocked, so I was hopeful I could get my package. The postal worker told me I could NOT get my package, in very unpleasant tones. I pleaded it was the only day I could come in from work to get the package. He told me that if he helped me, he would have to help the gentleman behind me too. The worker was rude and condescending. After being unpleasant to me for over a minute, he then showed me his phone which stated it was now 5:01. Vindicated, he told me i would not get my package that day. This is still my preferred post office in the area though I've been forced to go to the San Ramon location more often lately due to package pick ups or due to the earlier opening time. Often, the long wait times (as is the case with every post office) is due to customers not knowing what they want to do when they get up the counter. Still, I think most of the staff are great and very friendly and knowledgeable. I recently mailed out a package and realized when I got home that I had left a word out of the street address. I called them and Angela picked up the phone quickly and offered to dig for my package and correct it over the phone. Now THAT'S service! read more

Beware if you pre-print your shipping labels. They will process your package as if you have no label and tell you that your label is wrong. The first time I chalked it up to my inexperience. The second and third time I thought they were ripping me off so I went to the post office in Pleasanton and they took it with no issue and told me that I had purchased the correct postage. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. I was here for the first time and my experience with 'Rosa' was awful. She was not helpful at all.... Every question I asked the answer was "I DONT KNOW" with a huge grin on her face. Could not even give me the price of the envelope I needed to purchase for my shipment....cmon ...its your job...! so rude and acted like are being bothered. I have never had a problem with the employees being rude. They have always been helpful to me. Postal workers are all in danger of losing their jobs because of on- line banking, shopping, e-mail and FB. Everyone communicates via e-mail, FB, etc. People shop on-line and pay their bills on-line. Many post offices have been closed down. Maybe they are a product of huge cut backs to stay open. Maybe they are overworked and under paid. They also have to put up with very rude customers. It goes both ways people. So give them a little grace and kindness. Just like DMV...if you have to go to the post office make sure to plan on a little extra time. Merry Christmas! read more

Every time I go into the post office, the personnel are friendly and courteous. The rates are more than fair, important mail is easy to track and always gets to its destination in a timely manner. I love the bang you get for your buck! I also like the packaging that is provided. As I am trustee to a trust that involves a lot of people, I need to be able to depend on the reliability and efficiency that letters, packages and secured checks get to their destinations. This is by far the absolute WORST US Post Office and service I have ever dealt with. From mis-placed packages to just brushing you off sending you to the post office in San Ramon to look for you items. This has happened on 4 different occasions and only once did San Ramon PO actually have the item, the other times it WAS in Dublin. We need a "0" stars option!! Called 3 weeks ago to get my mailbox key. Told to bring in my ID & something with my new address on it (like one of the pieces of mail that are being held hostage??). So I did. Clerk examines paper, scoots out of sight and 10 minutes later says she checked with supe who said the paper was too "unprofessional" looking. So I show an email with current & new address. No go. I ask for a list of acceptable items. 10 minutes later supe shows her face & instructs me to follow her. She's behind a gate (which she locks as I approach) and informs me that she's very sorry but no go. Perhaps the DMV will issue me a new license, or the bank will send me a statement (to the new address which I can't access mail- dolt! and the DMV idea, that's f-ing brilliant!). So I call my loan agent ask for something official and she offers to fax it. Supe says they have no fax there (right...) I ask when I can expect the key & supe says 'Soon, the locksmith will go ut within 1 day of the request, so you'll have it by next week." I come back the next day fork over $$ and "proper" documentation. Then I call and am told the locksmith only comes in on Wednesdays and I'm SOL for the week. Can't get anyone to call me back. My mail is being held hostage. Can't someone go to JAIL for that? read more

Horrible. The worst post office I have seen in the entire USA. The problem is that the USPS and Congress cannot get their act together and realize that THE fastest growing city in all of California is dealing with a 40 year old Post Office that was built when Dublin was merely a village.The local McDonalds is larger! Dublin has since grown horizontally east and west. A half mile south of Dublin is the Pleasanton 94568 PO. About a mile or so north of Dublin is the HUGE San Ramon facility which actually sits in an entirely different COUNTY! And the Post Office wants to CLOSE the little Dublin PO and make people go all the way into San Ramon to pick up packages. For those on the east side of Dublin that means over 10 miles away and in heavy traffic would take well over 30 minutes just to get there. There is NO money in Washington willing to build Dublin a NEW post office. So in light of that, a little intelligence would change parts of east Dublin to be part of 94568 out of the Hacienda PO in Pleasanton. It is certainly closer. We are so very tired of having to retrieve packages from San Ramon from the east side of Dublin simply because WE WORK days and we missed picking it up within the few days the PO gives you to pick up packages. I hope others express their displeasure about this horrible so-called service. The mail in east Dublin, by the way, comes to you all the way from San Ramon from what they tell me. That is a LOT of gasoline expense. And I won't even start saying things about the foreigners who RUN the place. Does anyone speak English here? Oh and just try dropping off a package that you need to have delivered. You can't!! read more
