It's the closest post office from my house. Every time I go I receive a nice customer service. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Today, Jeffrey helped me and he was so helpful today. There's a line but is bearable. Every business has a line of people waiting right? Waiting for a couple of minutes it's ok for me. Post office 120 E. Chevy Chase Dr Glendale , CA 91205 I have been mailing packages for 2 years at this post office with no problems. I have sent a good review before with their online survey , but today I received very unhelpful and rude customer service . I was going in to mail similar packages that I have been mailing the same way for 5 years in many different post offices in Los Angeles and San Diego, today the lady at the counter refused to take them telling me they have to be sent a more expensive way. I said no, I've been doing this way for years at many different post offices , including this one ,she said no re package it without a "do not bend stamp" on it ! It has to come off she said , she didn't even ask a manager or try to make it go right. I noticed her and another employee were angry at each other , it even turned heads, she didn't need to be angry with me .Now I had to go to another post office , waste of time , and they took it like normal ! No problems! She should be re trained on how to handle her job and customer service . theres a post office a city block away from my apartment... so WHY do i have to drive all the way down here til im practically in atwater village to pick up a package? and how am i suppose to park my car when there are only, like, 5 spots available to everyone in this area? aside from the seemingly bad zoning and layout planning, its in a horrible location for its size. all of glendale apparently dont own stamps. i didnt either the day that i visited to grab a package they "attempted to deliver" a few times. so there i am, in line waiting for the only two available clerks to solve all the problems of mankind by standing behind the counter shuffling papers at this tiny post office. somebody smells. someone is talking too loud on their phone. gawd, whos listening to that horrible music? uuugghhh im just dying waiting here because its so hot and the line is so long. but when i get up to the counter the lady is a lot nicer than i thought she would be. im out of there in 2 mins with my stupid stamps. the post office closes at 5pm, which it very inconvenient for 9 to 5ers... which is probably why i was standing in that ridiculous line at 445 with everyone else thinking "this is so inconvenient" as well. hmpf. read more

I hate when I know I have to come to this USPS. Other USPS' are not like this one. Cons: Theres never parking, theres always a line and the staff likes to take their sweeeeetttttt time when theres a line of 10 people! I don't know what else to say besides they really don't care about the customers at all. I HAVE to come here about 1-2 times a week & I hate it! The parking lot literally has 5 spots plus street parking which is rare on the USPS side of the street (across the street 4 lanes over theres parking) which is not convenient if you have 1-3 boxes you need to take in. The staff are very inconsiderate of the customers. There is always a line & instead of calling over another co-worker they just work there with 1 person most of the time or 2 if you're lucky and after 10-15 minutes of waiting in a line of 10 people someone will come out to help. If theres a line, that means either you need to speed it up or call for help.... Anyways, so if your DROPPING OFF MAIL ONLYYYY this location is fine.... other then that, forget about it........ unless you're feeling lucky & you find parking then thats a good sign.... read more

After i paid her and looked at my receipt i saw she didnt put in signature confirmation and asked her "i wanted signature confirmation" she said i dont have time for you to change your mind. I went to this post office at the beginning of the month...dropped off some mail (including bills & family photos). I get another bill for the same thing now saying my bill is past due. I call a few friends & family members i was sending the photos to & they haven't received my photos. So WTF HAPPENED TO MY MAIL???????? I keep calling the post office bc im not in that area right now & of course no answer. This is terrible! This is horrible service!!!!! Personally I like this office is not far from home, the parking is small but the wait is not long, they do have drive thru drop off mail boxes available, workers are professional, very friendly and accommodate to try and help you save, my mom always told me treat others the way you want to be treated, and if you see that they're having a bad day, a nice compliment would cheer anyone up! read more

This is my second time to visit this post office. My first time, i was treated well immediately by a black lady. She's really nice. I like her service. I have been a customer of this post office since 1980 and am very pleased with the high caliber of staff who now run that office. There are only two ladies holding up the front counter and get lunch relief only. They are there from opening until closing and have a tremendous amount of walk -in traffic. They are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY and truly working under heroic circumstances and under a tremendous stress and yet deal with all customers with extreme courtesy always offering their best advice on how to save clients postage costs. They deal with a great variety of people from different cultures, many non or very little English language skills with lots of patience, courtesy and professionalism. I am now retired but was in charge of a government human service office - I would have given my right arm to have had this caliber of staff working with me! Congratulations to the postal administrator for having such fine staff at this office, but at the same time, SHAME ON HIM OR HER for putting these ladies under these difficult conditions, and having us wait so long for their fine services. Final update on this train wreck of a post office. The people here continue to be incompetent. I had yet ANOTHER instance of not getting mail for a week. I called to tell them to ask what was going on. The person I spoke to looked into it and said my mail was placed on hold, but he had no idea why (neither did I!). In any case, my mail was delivered the next day. The problem - not all of it was. A package I was expecting wasn't there. I called again. I was told that there was nothing else. After a few minutes, I told her it was a prescription. Apparently, that mad her take it seriously enough to find my package and have it delivered the next day. Months after that, I ended up moving. When I moved, I was so happy to not have to deal with them again. I was wrong though. They totally messed up my change of address. The address they had for forwarding wasn't right. They messed up the numbers for my street address. The only reason that I know is because some mail managed to get to me anyway and I saw the incorrect address on the yellow forwarding sticker. That was for mail that they actually forwarded though. Much of my mail was never forwarded to begin with. I would get calls from my previous landlord telling me they had stacks of mail. So frustrating!!! I contacted usps to let know and someone from this post office emailed me and said to talk to my local post office. How would that help when YOUR post office is the one screwing up. I emailed that person back to ask a follow-up question and received no response. I have been at my new address for a year now. Who know how much mail I never received. Wish i can give 0 stars. I don't know where to start. The parking is terrible. Parking lot has a whopping 6 spots that includes 1 for handicap. Or theres street parking thats just as bad. The reason why cars are never coming in an out is because theres a backed up line inside the PO. I have so many issues with this post office it itsn't even funny. First of all I refuse to go into the location because it's disgusting on the inside, there are always long lines and there are always the weirdest homeless people hanging around outside. My biggest problem is that my mail just stopped coming. I've called, spoken with two "supervisors" and each time they said they'll call me back that day or the next day, I have yet to receive a call back. I'm planning my wedding, so I've ordered all types of magazines, I haven't one. My friends have sent baby shower, wedding, engagement invites, and I haven't received those either. It's the holiday season and I'm afraid to order anything with USPS shipping because I probably won't get them. The people at this post office don't seem to give a crap about me NOT getting my stuff and if the location wasn't so DISGUSTING, I'd go speak to the "supervisors" face to face. I have two complaints: 1) The post office never answers the phone; 2) My major complaint is my mailman. He barks at my dog to antagonize her, and gets her wound up. He makes noises at her and yells out loud. Today I had my windows open, and he was calling her name. She got really mad, so I went out and asked if he was yelling at her. He's like yeah, she's dog. That's what I do and started arguing with me from the next door neighbor's yard. He also made their dog bark like crazy, after he started barking at the dog and making noises. Why is it the dog's fault? My dog wouldn't go bananas if he wasn't antagonizing her. There's a reason why my dog doesn't like him, and frankly, arguing with me about it, isn't very good customer service. I've had the worst experience with this place. Every time I go in to retrieve a package, there's a massive line, and two people working. Parking stinks, and whoever fills out our "Sorry we missed you" package slips, it looks like random squiggles and lines, so we can't tell if the package is mine or my boyfriends, and we can't make out the number at all in order to schedule for a later delivery. read more

These people are incompetent. Several mails are lost and carriers doesnt have a common sense or just lazy. I always have to freaking wait for the postman if I'm expecting a package to make sure that I get it, if I dont, there's an 80% chance that I wont get it. I hope their service will change because people will lose money buying stuff from the internet and ends up losing their packages. Supervisors in the office are worthless they always promise that they will call you back but they never did, I ended up talking to the manager to make sure they will act on your problem. The worst post office in the US!! I would've given NO stars if I could've. The carriers never attempt to knock on my door instead leave the tag in my mailbox or mark it as undeliverable or delivered. Thank god I track my packages! When I call the post office they say they'll follow up and they NEVER do. They act like they care about the complaints but do nothing about it because it continues to happen EVERY time! I have submitted so many complaints over the phone and in person and still no changes from this office. I WISH THEY WOULD JUST CLOSE IT DOWN AND LET ATWATER OFFICE TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING. The counter lines are horribly long the workers act like they haven't seeing customers in years and have long personal conversations with them while the rest of us wait for at least an hour. When you try to say something they look at you as if something is wrong with you?!?! Gosh this office really needs a MAKE OVER starting with the carriers. A supervisor told me they don't get paid by our taxes NOW that explains why they don't care about anything. I commiserate with everybody else on the Tropico Branch of the Post Office.I live almost 2 miles from it but the branch at Broadway and Verdugo is only 3 blocks away but I can't pick up undelivered packages there.My carrier tried to deliver when I was at the doctor's and left me a redelivery card.I filled it out,telling him when I wanted my package redelivered and left the card in my mailbox-right up front where he could see it.He ignored it for 2 days and just put new mail on top of it.Next week,I got another card,and he ignored that one too.I went online to their redelivery page and tried twice there to get it redelivered.No luck.They will probably send my package back in a few days.I can't go wait in line because I am bedridden with terminal cancer.This time I will have it re-shipped by a professional company-UPS.My advice is if a business offers to ship you something for a dollar or two less with the Post Office,don't do it!Use UPS or Fedex.The Post Office is stuck in the 1800's and the service keeps going downhill.Hopefully in a few years they will go out of business. read more
