Just called the USPS complaint line to notify them of FAITH SCORZA who is a supervisor at this location. She was VERBALLY ABUSIVE to a room of 40-50 people waiting in line. She had two people working at the windows even though five other employees were walking around doing nothing. Had she simply said, "I'm sorry. We're doing the best we can," everyone in line would've understood, at least the 20 people I talked to while waiting. I waited 35 minutes to get to the window. A couple people ahead of me told me they had been waiting 60 minutes. Absurd! I understand if you're a manager and you don't have enough people to meet consumer demand but don't talk back to your customers. read more

Terrible. Three packages "lost" or "stolen." I've lost almost $300 on their carelessness. For some reason one of my packages was "out for delivery" and then shipped to a different office. The service inside is horrible. Managers promise to call and never do. I can't wait to move so I never have to deal with this office again. read more

I feel pretty certain that the employees here smoke copious amounts of crack. Packages never seem to go out on the same day, or even the next day. From now on I drive to a farther location just to make sure my packages can get delivered in a timely fashion. Avoid at all costs. read more

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE IF YOU CAN AT ALL AVOID IT. They lost my priority package I tried to send to my grandson in Chicago. Prior to that, the rent check I had mailed there failed to get to my landlady and someone found it on the street a month later and forwarded it on...the post office person had apparently just dropped it on the street. read more

I guess this review is more for the mailman who delivers from this location. We are always getting mail for the next street over which leads me to believe we are not receiving our mail!!! This US Post Office has some very poor customer service. I have experience multiple times where they are just rude, with a nasty attitude It makes one feel like I'm bothering them by dropping off my package. My last encounter was the worst and final time I would visit this Postal Service cause of the bad service. Last month I try to return ship an Item with them and the package never reached its destination, but that wasn't the bad part. When I went back down to this postal service on Pico/ la ceinga with the RECEIPT they have given me, they said they sent my package through another carrier and I must contact them!!!! Wait, I thought I dropped my package off here. So they gave me on-trac 800 number and they tell me the tracking number the POSTAL SERVICE gave you is there tracking number not there's!!!!! SMH, now I drive back to the Postal Service and the say its out of there hands when on-trac scanned it in there system AND SINCE I DIDNT TAKE OUT INSURANCE ON THE RETURN PACKAGE THEY CANT HELP ME. "LOST OR STOLE MY SHIT'' AND DON'T CARE. SO IF YOUR STUPID ENOUGH TO SEND PACKAGES AT THIS POSTAL SERVICE GET INSURANCE, PRAY AND GOOD LUCK!!!! ITS CHRISTMAS TIME, DONT BE A DUMB SANTA CLAUSE...... I have visited many a post office and have never felt the need to write a review til now. Most people have negative experiences at post offices, including me. Maybe it's because I previously lived in NYC and San Francisco, so I'm used to tiny facilities with extremely long lines and rude employees, but I find this post office pretty pleasant. I haven't had issues with parking (although I often walk as it's down the street from my house). There are always a couple of employees walking around to greet customers and help anyone who needs it. Umm, customer service at USPS... what?? The Priority Mail boxes and supplies are always fully stocked. I also like that they keep an end window open to drop off larger packages that already have postage labels. At many places they say that you can just drop them in any window, but they'll all be occupied by other customers... then I have to be the jerk cutting in line to interrupt to give them my pre-labeled packages. It's nice not having to deal with that here! read more

We were out of the country for 2 weeks and had requested the mail to be on hold at the Post Office. When we returned, the box door was not shut and there were a few unimportant junk mails inside the box. Next day we went to the Post Office to pick up the mail, and there were unusually just a few pieces of mails collected. During our 2-week absence, many bank and credit card statements should have arrived. So we contacted the manager at the Post Office. We argued that no mail should be put into an opened mailbox, let alone we had our mail on hold! He became very unfriendly and said he and his office were not responsible for mail loss, even told us to complain to US government. And he hung up and refused to answer call after we tried again. What kind of attitude is that! And for us, worse yet, due to the mail loss, an updated credit card mailed to us during that time was lost and misused badly for over $3500. That is really upsetting, and we are still trying to find out how to resolve this mess. read more

Lazy, careless people working here, I sent an overnight mail, 48 hrs later still in transit. My mail went to San Diego and stayed there for one day, then they move to PA the next day. How could this happened? Avoid this place if possible avoid USPS. read more

I have been living near this post office and going there for over 20 years. and i can honestly tell you it is the worst place on the planet if you expect any kind of Service. just to give you an example of the issues i have had with these people. on 12/31 i had a visit from the carrier he was obviously in a hurry to go home so rather then ring my door bell he simply left the slip i was to sign and walked away . this left me having to wait all weekend for a package i really needed. The people who work there are slow and don't care to help out at all. it always seems like i am bugging them in addition when i called them to complain i was grilled by the person on the phone she simply would not connect me to the boss until i told her why i wanted him and once i said i wanted to complain i was given the run around. this is the worst post office ever. oh and A serious warning. NEVER and i Mean NEVER put important mail in the outside boxes! someone is stealing the mail out of them regularly. I have personally seen 2 guys roll up and use a key to offload the entire row of boxes into the back of there car. read more

I read all the reviews of this post office and thought "it can't be that bad??" Trust me, go to any other post office. The guy that sits at the line and tells you what to do is rude and condescending. I need to submit an application for a passport renewal, it's should not be that difficult. Apparently I need a photocopy of my drivers license in addition to ALL the other materials you need. So I ask "Do you have a photocopier?" He says no with a laugh! Like it's funny to me to have to go all the way back to work to photocopy my drivers license and then drive all the way back over to this crap hole of a post office and wait in line again. AT least I wasn't in line long or I would have been even more pissed off. No photocopy machine what kind of ass backwards business is this post office. I say shut them down if they are this incompetent and unhelpful. I don't live on this side of town, thank goodness. Going to go anywhere else and take time of work if necessary....what a waste of time and energy! read more

We live very near to this post office. Here are our observations: the outside space surrounding the building is abysmal; there is trash everywhere and the "landscaping" is laughable, very unwelcoming; they actually, for some odd reason, put down cardboard boxes and then placed wood chips on top of the boxes; the area where employees park is littered with trash, much of which has blown over into the ally and yards that are adjacent to this parking lot; the employees are extremely loud, and on more than one occasion could be heard fighting with each other; loud music is sometimes played by the employees in this parking lot. It would take a small amount of effort to "beautify" this place a little bit, starting with the regular removal of litter from the parking lot and surrounding areas. The adjacent neighborhood (Carthay) consists of nice homes with well-manicured lawns and landscaping. This post office is an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful neighborhood. It is in need of a LOT of improvements. read more

As a graphic designer I sent out a lot of invitations and promo items. This year it was 350 boxes. I went to 3 post offices before this one with not much success in getting the barebones staff to help me. And the green eyed monster worker at the Washington LaBrea office was a downright JERK. But this post office was my salvation. They were happy, helpful, went out of their way to help me. In particular, Sigmund was SUPER nice and SUPER helpful. I love this post office now. read more

I just moved to a neighborhood that this post office delivery area covers, and had I realized it sooner, I may not have actually signed the lease. This post office is THAT BAD. They consistently lose your mail - twice, in a previous apartment, they lost my outgoing mail - that I mailed AT THE POST OFFICE. It was only my rent check, that's all, so my landlord had to call me a week later and ask why I was behind on my rent, that didn't suck to have to call the bank and pay $25 to cancel my own check because they lost it! Now, I just moved in to my new place, and I've received a few deliveries already from other services, no problem - but my Amazon delivery never came. It *says* it was delivered on Sunday, but when I called the post office, they couldn't find it. Their records show it's been delivered. I called the 800 number for USPS and waited on hold for 40 minutes to get a case number, then was told someone from this local office on Alfred would call me within 72 hours. They did call - around hour 72, on Friday at 10:15 am. I got a voicemail to call the person back, and I returned the call on my lunch break, only for the first person to put me on hold for 15 minutes and not return. I hung up, tried again, and was told that the person left at noon sharp - must be nice - except how am I supposed to get assistance, then? They told me I could call back at 7 am on a Saturday to speak to the supervisor. Gee, thanks. That's how I want to spend my Saturday morning because YOU LOST MY PACKAGE. In the meantime, they gave me another 800 number to call- with another 20 minute+ wait time to speak to a representative. I'm never going to get my package. read more
