My work had a large amount of expensive shirts being mailed to us through Fedex. Somehow, they ended up at this post office. We tried to pick up the large package, but were told that if a fedex package arrived at that location, it would automatically receive a different tracking number, and they couldn't help us find our package without it. We called fedex to find out, and they told us that because it was shipped Ground, there would be no new tracking #. After a horrible time trying to track it down, the post office finally admitted that when the package arrived, all of the employees ripped it open and STOLE all of the shirts. Isn't opening someone else's mail a federal offense? So here we have federal employees committing a federal offense. Hmmmm. read more

They used to be open 8-6. Then 8:30-5:30. Now 9-5:30. I know post offices are going out of business, and this one reminds you why. They are slow, unfriendly and curt. I don't even live close and there's another post office closer by so I don't know why they alway bring my packages here. I also found out last year that they often don't even bring the package with them and just leave the notice in the box. I happened to walk out just as the mailman was walking away and gave them the notice and was told I had to go to the post office for pick up. This has always been my neighborhood post office. Though the interior seems like it's been unchanged since the 70's and in need of some newer technology that other post offices, I still feel at home when I come to this location. The line here can be long from time to time, but usually also goes by pretty fast. There are plenty of PO Boxes if needed, and the customer service is pretty good. Only complaint I have is that the Blue Boxes outside have been removed so when wanting to mail out some post after hours sucks and you have to find a mail box out somewhere in the neighborhood. read more

THEY CLOSE YOUR PO BOX AND LOSE YOUR PACKAGES!! I bought a PO Box and paid the annual fee two weeks ago. I just got to know that they kept my po box closing and lost all my letters and packages including my new credit card and products I purchased online. Their excuse was "who did give you the key?" "The key is broken." Don't change the subject. The key is working fine. The problem is that you guys don't know what you're doing at work! Ugh! The customer service was horrible. This post office is a joke! The window hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm. The lobby hours are 6am to 6pm. The package pick up window is located in the lobby and it has no closing time listed. I received a notice that I had a package at my PO Box. I hit the buzzer to the pick up window many times and waited for more than 20 minutes! Nobody aknowledged the bizzer! Seriously? I could hear people talk and pass the window. I am waiting for a Time Sensitive package! With a 7:30am To 5:20pm OR 7:30am To 8pm Work Schedule I don't have the time to come except Saturday. I think this might be the worst Post Office ever. Just awful. On multiple occasions, when there's literally no one in line at the window, I've been directed to pick up packages at a separate door... which no one answers. Just keep ringing that doorbell and knocking on the door thinking it's going to do you any good. I dare you. I think one time it took 30 minutes to get someone to open the door, even after informing that same person in the window who just shrugged and did nothing. Literally. Nothing. I've also had mail and packages just clearly not be delivered (right now I have FOUR packages that have been "out for delivery" for more than two days without any explanation), and good luck getting any help when that happens. Frankly, it's criminal. I actually spoke to someone on the phone one time that insisted if I wanted to know where a package was, that I had to personally speak to my specific mail carrier by calling at a very specific time in the morning that I was not available at. When I suggested that, perhaps, they just leave a damn message, the response was to scoff and suggest it wasn't their problem (you know, delivering the package they'd been paid to deliver). I've been coming to this post office for years and have always had great service. I got my daughter's passport here a few years back when it was still a service they provided and the woman that helped us was very helpful. Any time I need to mail something out I come here and get friendly service from the ladies that work here. I even came to mail out a couple of packages during Christmas season and although the wait was longer than usual they kept the line moving smoothly. They will give you tape and scissors if you need it. I am really surprised to see so many bad reviews for this post office, it's almost unreal. My only tip would be to be there early, like within 30 minutes after they open to avoid getting stuck in a line. The parking can be challenging since it shares a parking lot with a discount Hispanic grocery store, a swap meet and a couple other shops. Yes, it's in a sketchy neighborhood but it's LA, every other block is sketchy. Just mind your business, don't start no sh!* won't be no Sh!*. read more

I contacted this post offiice about not having our mail delivered for a few days and that was a lesson in futility. I heard every excuse in the world and yet not one answer to the question of when our service will resume. I then lodged a complaint with the inspector general. There's been an abundance of complaints, not only regarding our mail delivery, but from people in the service area of this post office. All of this is unacceptable. I spoke with several of my neighbors and they have also complained. There are older people who receive their Social Security checks and need their money. We have bills, documents, and a plethora of other mail that people may need to deal with. This cannot go on. First, it is illegal because the USPS is bound by what is called a Universal Service Obligation (which this post office has violated) stating: -- The Universal Service Obligation of the USPS - the USO, as it's commonly called, is essential to ensuring that everyone receives the mail service they need. In general, a USO is a collection of requirements that ensures everyone in the country receives a minimum level of mail service at a reasonable price. The Postal Service's USO includes a requirement to provide mail services to everyone, regardless of where they live, and for at least one mail product, at a uniform price. Other features of the USO include frequency of delivery (delivering your mail 6 days a week). Oh and when you call this crappy post office, it will take you several attempts before anyone answers the phone. Then they'll put you on hold and never come back. Being from the EastCoast, Washington DC I was becoming adjusted to the USPS service slowly declining. There was times our mail carrier would come around 7pm. But this is L.A. so I cannot judge so quickly. In this instance, which prompted me to write a review I was expecting a package from USPS on March 8th 2017(according to website) I was lucky enough to be off from work all day and waited like a kid on Christmas at my door. That whole day nobody came to my door. I was sadder than a emo chick evaluating her life in the mirror. Later that Night I got a notification on my phone from my confirmation number that stated, "The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date, An updated delivery date will be provided when available.Your item departed our Los Angeles California 90052 facility on March 9th at 8:47pm The item is currently in transit to the destination" This was a Wednesday and I ordered my package on Monday the 6th so my upset meter was at a 6 instead of a 10 since it was only 3 days on ground shipping. As march 10th Came, the mail carrier came at 10am and still no package. not even a look up at my apartment #5. I was sweating bullets because this package is expensive and highly fragile and valuable. How could they be so inconsistent. I decided that evening before closure to call the customer service line to really see what is going on. After being forced to talk to a robot about my problems for 20 minutes, the bot got confused on my pronunciation of my last name and forwarded me to a LIVE person. After waiting on hold for 62 minutes, I was assisted by Jamal. I explained to him my frustration with an even tone realizing that its not Jamal's fault. He assured me that my package could be picked up at this location because it is not going out until the next day. As I gleefully accept my confirmation number and instructions I caught an Lyft to the location with a Kool-Aid Smile excited to get my Package. This is where I entered the jungle. This Post Office is located in a shopping mall from 1992 after the riots and never refurbished. There was teens and adults playing craps right outside the swap meet as i waited in line for 15 minutes for a teller which is right next door. Once it became my turn I was told from he front desk to walk around to the PO Boxes and push the bell on the wooden door for service.. I rang the bell.."RING!!!" held it for 5 seconds. I got someone in 5 minutes.. a younger woman who opened a door hatch and asked "how can I help you" with a twang. She was clearly ghetto as hell with tattoos everywhere and did not seem very informed. I gave her all my information just like the guy on the phone stated and 10 minutes later another disappointment. She tells me the package is not at this particular location at the moment. "Just be patient boo". I went to work salty as bacon in a skillet But realized patience is a virtue. As I struggle to sleep that night all I can think about is writing this review to help others understand how frustrated this process is. As Day 5 hits March 11 2017 All my patience will finally pay off. I do not have to go to work until 3pm and in this neighborhood the mail carrier comes no later than 12pm. I can do no wrong. Its 2:15pm and a brother cannot be late so as I drive to work I am super concerned about my package. around 4:15pm I get a notification on my cell telling me "We attempted to deliver your item at 3:17pm March 11 2017 in Los angeles california. A notice was left because an authorized recipient was not available. you may arrange redelivery feature by calling or pick up the item at the post office. I called my girlfriend and asked her if she got the notice on the door and... NOTHING.. as she checks inside the mailbox... what do we have here... the notice. SO this mail carrier never bothered to go up the stairs to my actual door.. He just wrote the notice and put it in the mailbox.. Are you not getting paid to go to apartment doors? why the strike? My upset meter is now at a 10. After waiting until Today 3/13/17 I was tired of the charades and decided to follow the notice and pick up my package as soon as they open..9am JACK! I catch a Lyft to the mail station AKA the Jungle and go straight to the door bell and press firmly. I exhale and with all my might hope that this is the last step.. I give the lady my notice after she opens the door and she says "oh let me make sure I catch the mail carrier before he leaves" .. 5 minutes later.. there goes my package! I remember when USPS was the #1 Carrier in the US. It is clearly evident that these employees have a level of immunity that prevents any consequence. I recommend to pay what ever extra fee you have to in order to use a different carrier such as Fed Ex,DHL,UPS for signed packages ect. If available. PS. I can only speak to my own experience here, which has been good each time. Most recently, a friend in Connecticut overnighted to me a flat envelope with very important contents; instead of sending it to this post office for pickup by my carrier, someone downtown sent it to the wrong post office and it needed to be rerouted here. Long story sort of short, it was delayed for three days. But two of the "backstage" female employees here -- one brand new, the other named Cassandra -- went out of their way to keep me informed by phone of the progress. And when I picked up the envelope, they greeted me with apologies (it wasn't their fault, after all), kind words, smiles. Not doubting anyone else's bad experiences but you know, sometimes people who find employees to be angry, bitter, rude, etc might want to check their own behavior. Our US Postal Service has always amazed me. Even when I worked overseas no letter was ever lost, coming or going from where ever I lived. Now I have more good news about USPS. THEY SEND OUT PICTURE POST CARDS. Recently I planned my dad's birthday party on a shoestring budget. I wanted to send a special invite. That's when I found USPS Click2Mail. Best Post Office EVER. Kim is an angel. I needed to mail my wedding invitations. After spending $400 on beautiful Calligraphy I wanted to ensure that the envelopes wouldn't be carelessly handled by just any post office and end up having a barcode printed over the calligraphy and a snag in the envelope. From what I hear, it's near impossible to find a post office that hand cancels out the postage without running it through a machine, resulting in the postage being double cancelled. Even if you do get a post office to hand cancel, they'll still run your beautiful envelopes through their machines, often tearing the envelopes and marking them up, taking away the beauty that you pay for with a wedding invitation envelope. This pretty much defeats the purpose of hand canceling. I did a TON of research and found this post office that everyone was raving about. I drove 45 minutes from my home specifically to go to this post office to mail my invitations. Kim was working the counter and she genuinely cared about my envelopes as much as I did. After asking to have them hand cancelled she explained that the USPS has a new policy to charge $1.30 per envelope that is hand cancelled and not ran through a machine. She then leaned closer and told me to meet her by the side door, where she gave me the stamp to hand cancel my own envelopes to avoid paying $75 in fees for hand canceling. She showed me exactly how to do it. I honestly did not know NICE government agency workers existed. They do! They work HERE!!!!! So worth the 45 minute drive. Sketchy location. But 100% worth the creepy crawly feeling to know my envelopes will arrive as beautifully as I could wish and imagine. read more

I called to find out if my package was there. A supposed slip was left on my door but I never found it. I called and called no one picked up. After 5-10 minutes of calling, someone picked up the phone and left it hung without saying anything directly into the phone but I could hear the workers talking leisurely amongst themselves. I hung up and called again and same thing. I was totally baffled that a business would do this. How unprofessional. I hope to never miss a package again so I don't ever have to deal with this site. And according to the tracking online, it says the package was sent back to the post office. The representative told me the mail carrier never brought it back, that it was probably still in his truck. From the looks of the comments already, it's no F%#!ING WONDER I'm here writing a HORRIBLE review AND EVEN CALLED THE COPS (not the emergency line) AFTER THEN EXPLAINING WAS TOLD THIS IS INTERNAL FRAUD AND WAS DIRECTED TO THE POSTAL POLICE SERVICE RIGHT AWAY (I didn't even know there was such thing, thank god) I was there earlier trying to claim a package i missed on delivery (this always happens in my area because i guess majority of employees never use a intercom w numbers specifying each tenant along w the address on their notepad smfh) so as the notification said i went down to the PO and knocked on the blue door i usually do and out came the postal service employee of the year. She helped 2 people infront of me who walked away pissed off. Then came my turn and as i tried explaining i missed a package she was already cutting me off she was rolling her eyes and sayin "what time what time" louder each time until she was basically screaming. Then as She kinda shut me up and I'm looking at her in disbelief i explain that I'm just kinda worried cause i read on USPS website that it can be sent back to the buyer and because the nature and value of this package i really don't want to risk it going back halfway around the states. Then w/ a resting bitch face repeating "it's not going back to the sender" just as rude as she was saying "what time" i replied "i don't work here or come here because i miss my package everyday therefor i don't know these rules" then as she closes the door she says "now i don't care what happens to your package, IM GOING TO MAKE SURE IT GETS SENT BACK TO THE SENDER NOW OR GET LOST" WORD BY WORD. By this point I'm so lost for words and furious but i still kept my composure and walked to the windows so i can ask the woman on the register if i can speak to a supervisor or manager very respectfully she then goes to attempt to get the supervisor when she gets intercepted by the lady who is COMMITTING FRAUD found out i asked for the supervisor she then came out the door again and said "what? I'm the acting supervisor" she obviously shut me up cause at this point she seems to have influence over the employees to become "acting supervisor" at a snap of a finger, she's shuts the door then explains to the co workers inside so loud i can record it and still hear it thru the door from my phone. THEN SHE ADMITS AND PREMEDITATED HER CRIME talking to her coworker about how the women before me was "pissing her off and had attitude" and also said the same thing about me and because of that she's "GOING TO MAKE SURE THEIR PACKAGES GOING TO GET LOST CAUSE THEY PISSING ME OFF" then learned from the women i asked for the supervisor that i was worried because my package is of something of value AND VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. She then screamed even louder knowing I'm right outside the door trying to call anyone who can help that "IM DEFINITELY GOING TO STEAL HIS PACKAGE NOW" I then started recording outside the door the conversation of her openly talking about the crimes she's about to commit she ran outside the door saying i can't record inside a post office. Ok yeah i know exactly what law your talking about but that gets voided when YOUR COMMITTING A CRIME...... a employee this confident that she's just claiming supervisor roles and screaming about stealing customers packages SHOULD NOT BE WORKING IN A AMERICAN UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. My mail carrier doesn't leave any notes saying that they tried delivering my package. This has been happening for the past year and I've been so proactive about retrieving my package! I finally had to get one package that they lost and it was in a dangerous area inside a dirty strip mall. I felt very unsafe being a girl on my own at the time. Every time I get a package I have to track it down because the mail lady doesn't leave notes or packages at my door even after I call complain and request a re-deliver. I had to put in an investigation for this place because often times I'll have packages that say " delivered" when I have 1. No note 2. No package 3. No communication I'd like to add that I'm in a gated community and all the packages go to the office. This means there is absolutely no excuse for not being able to deliver it since the mail always comes during the office hours. Always. I do my own research I know it's a matter of laziness and not caring to deliver packages. It's incredibly lazy at this point. Yes, this USPS post office is inside a shopping center. I like this place. Mostly because its NOTHING like the USPS on Miracle Mile. The staff here is young, helpful, speedy. I like all those things. I especially liked that one of the cashiers was extremely helpful and gave me some "tips" on the different methods/costs of mailing packages. Wow!!! How rude and lazy can someone be?! The female window attendant today was the rudest person I've met. Refused to take 6 packages and give me a receipt confirming they were accepted (I have to do this as the packages are for work and ive done it 20 times before without a single complaint or attitude). I was just doing my job and she was so freaking rude, I can't wait to see how karma treats someone with that little compassion and straight arrogance toward another human. Don't go here! I only did because my regular post office had a car crash into it (the post office on Washington an la brea is heaven compared to this place!). I'm in shock and awe 3 days after visiting this post office. I stopped here strictly because I was at the game shop in the swap meet next door to get some discounted used games and stuff for my son's new DS. I never really even noticed the post office the prior times I had been to this shopping center. This time though, I had some late Christmas gifts to mail and figured I'd get two errands done at once. So, I go in with my little boy, who is in a big hurry to get to his new game, and so not the best post office trip buddy, but he's holding it together as I try, in vain, to find a suitable box for some odd shaped gifts that I want to ship together to my sister-in-law's family. Well, I hear a voice behind me saying, "You don't want those boxes." I finally realize that a USPS employee has ventured beyond the sacred glass separator and is talking to me without my having to jump up and down or beg. AND she is smiling! Smiling at me. She says, "What are you trying to fit, honey?' I show her the box, in a still speechless stupor and she says, "You don't want those. You have to pay for those. I bet I can find a box for you." Then she hands me a label, a pen and packaging tape and says, "I'll be right back." I think I'm dreaming. I'm giggling nervously. Is this really happening? In a post office? She comes back with a box...that fit everything! I do the label, I get my other package done. Another lady tells me I can go straight over to the package window when I'm done. They are both smiling and helpful. There is no line. I'm out in a few minutes once my packages are labeled and taped. I don't know if it is just these two beautiful, kind employees or the whole place, but I'll tell you this, I am going out of my way to use this post office just to find out. I mean if I can get a chance good experience that's pretty much 100% better chance than any other post office I've been to in LA. Thank you ladies! The supervisor at this post office is a complete asshole. He screamed at my wife and refused to renew our PO Box because we were late. When she asked why he couldn't help her, he literally said he didn't want to. All this was after an actually helpful employee did all the work and all he had to do was unlock a computer file, check the amount due, accept payment, and Flag it as paid in the file. I see all that up myself, she just had to come sign in person as her name was on the box. There was no re-keying needed as we weren't *that* late. He just didn't want to do his job, and wanted to scream at her because he's a misogynist (he wasn't rude to ME when I went in to set it all up), and as a result we will not be renewing our PO Box, or ever patronizing this branch again. This office is walking distance from our house, but I'd rather just use the post office near my work in Santa Monica then ever deal with this piece of shit supervisor ever again. read more

This post office offers a quick way of getting in and out without the hassles of long waits. Moreover, they sort of take your order while you are in line so by the time you are at the counter the transaction begins immediately. Also, they generally have several people working at one time so a line does not really matter because it will move quickly! Therefore, this is a great USPS location along with Culver City! read more

This place is ridiculous. I had to call over and over again to get a resolution to my jerk of a mailman who decided he no longer wanted to deliver mail to my residence since I complained about him multiple times. Im sorry but when you stuff a small mailbox the size of a handfull of envelopes full of junk mail to the point I cant open it, then yes its going to be full. Oh and when it is able to be opened all the mail is torn to shreds. So yes Im going to complain. You have no problem dropping off any other packages to my door so why not these oversized items? So this "jerk" has stopped all of my mail apparently for the last few months, so I havent received my W2's, car registration, medical cards and medical authorizations for needed procedures.
