No greeting, no smile, they stop their conversation to look you over like you are a nuisance. I felt like I was intruding in their home, not coming to make a business transaction. I was just trying to make normal conversation, and the one clerk I worked with barely engaged and was like "oh, yeah, that sounds...whatever..." (not that she said whatever but that was her attitude, she made no attempt to even pretend to be interested - being friendly and welcoming is customer service 101). There is one man I interacted with who was professional and friendly. Once. I don't see him usually. The rest are jerks. On top of that when the thing pops up for you to choose your customer service satisfaction level she selected the green smiley face for me! I jokingly said, "maybe I didn't want to pick that one." She said, "yeah, you did." I go to the Double Creek location when I can because the people who work there are all friendly and courteous. A lot could improve here.

With that very low expectation set, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the level of smart efficiency I experienced at 10 minutes before closing at this Metric & Braker Lane location on a Saturday afternoon. If you have used this location before, you may know that the window for picking up packages is a closed door placed outside of the "main" customer service counter / store part of the place. A common mistake folks make all the time is coming in to pick up a package, waiting in the long line at the main counter, and only once reaching the front, learning that they were supposed to go stand at that closed door and wait for someone to appear out of nowhere to acknowledge them. Been there, done that myself. On this day, I showed up to retrieve my "requires signature" item and found a line of about 15 customers ahead of me with just a few minutes until closing. I had my doubts about how this situation would end, but the postal worker handled it with professionalism and efficiency, calling us up to give our addresses & show ID, taking down our info, and then going away with a complete list to get all of the packages in bulk. This calmed everyone and assured us that we'd be able to get our stuff before the place closed for the day. One by one, each name was called, even those who had arrived after me, and soon only one person was left without a package - me. Turns out, my mail carrier had picked up my item and had it out with her for another delivery attempt, even though the order was specifically set to be held at the post office. Argh! Foiled again!
