I visited this USPS location to ship a small package and had a frustrating experience overall. The clerk initially told me I needed to pay around $55 for the shipment and sounded very certain about it. However, his coworker overheard the conversation and corrected him, explaining that the USPS First Class/Priority option for small packages in the ~$10-$22 range was acceptable instead. There were also multiple errors when entering my address information to create shipping label. It took about four attempts before everything was finally correct. What made the interaction more frustrating was that the clerk partially blamed my handwriting, even though I wrote everything clearly in capital letters. In fact, some words were entered correctly on earlier attempts but incorrectly on later ones, while different mistakes appeared in other fields. That made it clear the issue was not my handwriting, but repeated data-entry errors during the transaction. I remained polite and cooperative throughout the interaction, so it was disappointing that there was no acknowledgment or simple apology for the inconvenience after the repeated errors and confusion. Overall, the issue was eventually resolved, but the experience lacked accuracy, communication, and professionalism. 3 stars. read more

SIX MONTHS. October 2025 to March 2026. That is how long it took for me to get my mail off of HOLD and delivered back to my mailbox after requesting it be re-keyed due to someone having a master key and stealing mail from our neighborhood. I mean the staff is courteous and helpful for the most part, when you come in, but the wait is horrible. There is usually only one, sometimes two, people at the counter with a long line to wait. So, don't come here if you're looking to get in and out. Be prepared to wait at minimum 15 minutes or more. I just say, after repeated visits and being told, "I'll pull your address so it gets done soon," for almost 6 months, did not make experiences at this location feel good. read more

This location does not scan in packages left in the prepaid drop off area instead they just load them on a truck and never scam them in. The management is really bad here they have no scheduled workers for certain areas and the manager also does not know which employees are assigned work. Your package can easily get lost or stolen at this location I would not use USPS at all.. read more

Just moved here and needed to mail a package. The Postal office is a little hidden due to the overgrown grass all around it. Not many people were in line. There was just one attendant present rushing people along. Efficient just not very sociable. Plenty of parking all around. Just look out for that left turn to get you into the parking lot from the main road. read more

The service attitude is very bad. I make an appointment to pick up the parcel every day, but they only take one-third of the parcels. They don't come to pick up the rest, and sometimes they don't even come to pick up the parcel. There is no use in making an appointment. They will tell you that the post office is short of staff and refuses to pick up the parcel. So what is the use of the appointment service set up on the website to pick up the parcel? I make an appointment for 500 parcels every day, but only 100-150 are taken away, and the rest are not picked up. I made an appointment but it clearly says 500 parcels. Then a letter comes to tell you that your parcel is not 500 because they haven't taken all the parcels. So it must be different from the appointment quantity. I contacted the manager many times but there was no response. This is a problem with the 95828 post office. read more

The people that works at the post office need big improvement to do. I understand they get thousands and thousands of packages and mails but these people here are just so lazy, they lose your packages and just choose not to get their lazy ass to the back and check for your package on hold when the tracking number clearly says it's on hold ready for pick up. Hmmm so I just rented a spot in the area, did not have mailbox keys. So took lease agreement to get a key waited in line for about 45 minutes. Then was told a new key will be it in the mailbox. I questioned how do I obtain the key if I don't have a key and will be placed in the mailbox? Then was told to speak with the mail carrier. it's been a week, no key. read more

Poor service. Stop to pick up mail. Rang the bell and stood there for what felt like forever and nobody ever came to the window. The lady who was in front of me got fed up and left. Not sure how long she was standing there before I've arrived. One of the staff who looks like was setting up their lobby didn't do anything to assist. When asked if there was anyone working the mail pick up window she literally said ring the bell and someone will come. Well guess what nobody ever came. What are these people doing here? Dropped off a package on June 25th. It just sits there. It's supposed to go to FedEx but nothing is happening. I fill out a find my package request on July 8th. They update the tracking to show they still have my package on July 15th. Then it just sits there again. Doing absolutely nothing. I fill out a second find my package request on July 23rd. Finally they get my package to FedEx. This package was a return. It took almost one month for USPS to contact FedEx to pick up my package. Had I known when I printed out the return label that said either drop it off to USPS or FedEx that this would happen I would've driven farther to FedEx and hopefully avoided all of this bullshit. I understand covid is happening but my package sitting there for almost one month is baffling. I reported a carrier to the manager of this particular office and the carrier submitted paperwork about a dog that was never at my home, it was the neighbor's dog and across the street from the central box. I had to go speak to the manager and he spoke with me about my interaction with the carrier versus it being an actual incident about a dog. Review During Covid: Damn, I feel bad that many people have had a bad experience at this post office. I, personally, didn't have a bad experience at all. This post office is definitely a lot larger than some of the post offices I've been to. The parking lot is pretty big so you shouldn't have a difficult time finding a spot like some of the other post offices I've been to. On the inside, there are no staff members checking temperatures or anything like that, but wearing a mask is required when you're inside. There are also markings on the floor indicating where to stand so that everyone is 6 feet apart. Just like every other post office, there is always a long time and normally 1 to 2 staff only working at the counter no matter how busy the place is or how long the line is. I do feel bad for the staff because I'm sure it's not by choice that they don't have extra help and that the customers are pissed off waiting in line. Anyway, when I was there, only 1 lady was working at the counter. She was being yelled at by a customer who had issues with the usps website. The staff was calm and directed the lady to a number that she could contact to get ahold of whatever issues she was having on the site. All the while the line grew longer and longer. The service was quick and easy once I got to the counter because I had my shit together. Please don't be one of those people who don't have their shit together and end up at the counter not having labeled their package yet or not having filled out their forms yet. For the love of God, why!?!? You are the reason why it takes forever to get to the counter!! The pricing at USPS is definitely a lot better than Fed Ex, UPs, and etc. Why pay $12 to send off a package that you can pay only $5 to send via USPS? As for social distancing, there is no staff enforcing social distancing on the inside so definitely watch out for Covidiots who invade your space even though the floor is marked very clearly on where they should be standing. read more

One word: Rude. I wanted to drop off a pre-paid shipping box, but I wasn't sure if I could have them ship something from UPS. Instead of leaving my box there like an asshole, I waited in line. The cheaper option compared to UPS and FEDEX. USPS is cheaper because it is partially self service like boxing and packaging. You can come with your own tape/bubble wraps or buy the ones there, but certain boxes are free. Manjit (postal clerk) told me to keep in mind buying the flat rate priority boxes (around $10) would be cheaper in comparison to the other options. Also, the additional insurance fee is not bad, mine was $8 for a product I'm shipping that's worth around $500. Service is a hit or a miss at most postal office. Luckily, I ended up with the nice clerk Manjit. She's such a sweetheart and didn't rush me at all. While... the other clerk on the other side were yelling at customers across the room, which was really unprofessional... I felt sorry for all the people that went into her line. read more

On August 05, 2021 around 11am-11:30am a mid age 25-30 years old white lady worker and believe she has signature tattoo on her arms, not sure what's her name, however, she was so rude and disrespectable to me because she was pissed that they didn't have enough workers working on that day and wanted to get off on her break so she took it out on the customer saying, "if you don't want to wait than you can go somewhere else" giving customer all types of attitude through out her service. I've been looking for my package since August 24th, they claimed that it was at the Oakpark location, so I headed that way just to be told it's not there & was sent back to distributing to be delivered to the correct postal office and it'll be delivered to me by the weekend. I wholeheartedly agree with all of the one star reviews. I am extremely disappointed with the service here. So here was my dilemma: I had a package that was being delivered to my old address. I recently moved to a new apartment and the move was sudden, so I called the 1-800 number to have my package either re delivered to my new address or have it held at this location (since it was already headed there) to pick up. The representative told me she emailed this location and also gave me a claim number. Now I call this location and they give me a run around of information. I tell the lady helping me (I did not get her name nor did she state it) about the email and they didn't confirm or deny that they got it. She was extremely rude and borderline disrespectful. She said she can't track my package and She told me my package would be sent back to the office if there were no signature but because of the uncertainty of her voice, I actually just checked the mailbox of my old house. It was inside the mailbox uni. Today I get a call from here and the representative was once again being rude. I had many questions but she did not seem to want to answer them. As a customer/client I would want to be helped. She did not apologize, instead she made it seem like it was completely my fault and that they had nothing to do with the misunderstanding. This is my local post office and seems to be for a lot of other area residents by the looks at how busy it often gets. Busy, but efficient enough to get the job done. The interior of this building is large and spacious. Plenty of PO boxes available, stamp machines, inside and outside letter or package mail boxes, table space for last minute writing, supplies for mailing, ample parking spaces and easy access to and from the post office itself. They also have a glass case with collectible postage stamps on display. The drawback here, is, that it is difficult to view when you are in line several feet away. The office employees are always nice and handle the stress of long lines as well as to be expected. Every type of delivery service can most likely be done here and they are always happy to guide you through the process. Although standing in a long line isn't always the best part of my errand day, you can be sure that your mail or package is in good hands. I have never had an issue to date! This post office often has long lines. You can typically expect to wait ten minutes before you get to the counter. At 4:45 p.m. they only have two clerks at the counter. Coming here at night can be kind of creepy. Installing brighter lighting would help that. I do like the self-service unit that allows you to weigh your parcel and then pay for postage. They do have a pretty well designed drive-thru drop box. Although sometimes you put your life on the line crossing Elk Grove-Florin when there's lots of traffic. read more

My family has been getting our mail from the same mail lady for the last five years and recently a new lady started as well. We have dogs and we have gone outside our gate to collect mail and the woman walks passed me and would not even hand me my mail and is now telling us that if the dog is even outside we can't get our mail. My whole street has dogs who are outside and they deliver there mail. They now want us to move our mail box to the opposite side of the house. We have medications delivered to our address and having it in an area where we can not see from our front door is hazardous and makes it easier for people to steal our mail. I have tried to contact the boss named EDDIE for the past two months and every time i call i am told he isn't in office or just left. I ask when he will be working or in again and they tell me they don't know. I have asked for the mail woman's names and they both have denied to tell me as well. I wish i could give zero stars because we have lived in this house for a very long time and never had issues until this year. The postal service is becoming inconvenient and more rude everyday. I had my dogs inside today and she still would not give me my mail and put it in my mail box and tried to run away without answering any questions i had. I just want to talk to someone and get answers so i can understand and file a proper complaint about these two postal woman. read more

No complaints about my local USPS branch. USPS has been going through a lot of budget cuts and stuff, so it's quite understandable that most of the branches aren't fully staffed. As I mentioned in my previous review, anticipate a wait. You might get lucky and skip the line, but in most cases, expect to wait at least 5-10 minutes in line. I should note that there has been two or three clerks at the counter during my last few visits. Small steps towards improving the overall customer experience. I mean, they're really trying here! The clerks are always really helpful, especially with explaining the shipping options. I always try to get the cheapest thing possible, and they're really patient with the process. Phone service is great, too. I've had to call the office to ask about a returned package that couldn't be delivered to my house. The man who helped me was really patient and nice, even though I was really frustrated and upset. (Side note: it was Target's fault). This USPS has a clerk who sits at the package mailbox now. Worst post office in Sacramento or maybe the whole USA. Sent my certified mail to San Rafael Ca on May 6, it's now May 11 and their app still said it's still on transit. I ask the young black lady if she can update the status but she told me there's nothing she can do and told me to file claim online. It's a legal documents and must arrive on time. Very poor service.
