Where do I start!!!!! They just hired new employees who know nothing are extremely Rude especially the woman by the name of Mariela she was helping her customer out and left them standing there to butt in to what I was addressing with the other employee, Which is extremely rude for both customers. We have been customers for years and go on a daily basis never had a problem up until a couple of weeks when this woman started working there. She gave us a certain price and than we go the following day and other employee said it was wrong that it should be $1.20, So we go back change it and everything is fine so we thought. I go in today and the same woman surprise, surprise yet again says it is wrong. They need to make up they're minds on the price. I feel like a wait at the DMV was faster than the wait I had here. It was passed one, almost two in the afternoon and there was only one person working. The supervisor was walking around asking about pick-up orders, and asking people if they want to use the machine, etc. I guess there were clerks on break, but they should at least have someone else help out. I'm sure this wasn't the first time it has happened. When the 2nd clerk came back from lunch the line moved a lot faster. Oh well, at least it's a good thing we don't frequent the post office much. Over four years ago I noticed this post office was getting bad reviews and I had such a nice experience with Raymond that I wanted to changed that. In this time, I moved away from San Diego and came back. I forgot that this was the PO I had a nice experience at until I was inspired to write another review! April thanked me for waiting (even though I wasn't in line for long), spoke with such a respectful and positive tone, and even saved me money!!!! She recommended other products and gave me more information on the envelopes she used to save me money. Wow! read more

Horrible customer service. I came to drop off 3 pre labeled boxes with postage at 5:08 pm. Understanding they were "closed for business", I just wanted to drop them off for processing the following day. Got an employees attention who shouted not to leave them in the lobby...obviously so they don't get stolen....but then I literally hear the employee behind the closed door tell another employee that she didn't want to help or take the packages before she opening the door to say she "can't take them." I noted I don't need them processed today and tomorrow was fine and just needed them to take them inside the door she was holding open to tell me this so I did t have to come back tomorrow.....she still said no. read more

This is a review for the Grantville post office. I bring about 125 packages a week with labels I pre print and we are told to put our packages in carts in the lobby no employee overseas for security. April 24 2020 three of my packages were lost or stolen from the cart in the lobby. I am having to resend out of my pocket these customer's items. I will be formally reporting this. My husband said the lady in charge there is so rude and we are thinking of going to another post office from now on. Or we will start putting all packages thru the chute and when we get yelled at for that we will explain how their unmanned cart is not safe. I lost hundreds of dollars April 24th from them losing my packages or someone stealing them out of the carts. My husband asked if he could put them on the counter once and the lady practically bit his head off and said she was busy but she would bring out a cart. read more

This is THE absolute best USPS Post Office to go to if you are shipping from online, for example eBay. The line is always insanely long here, but if you are smart and are not living in the stone ages then you print out and adhere your postage to all your packages before departure to the post office. Then when you get to this post office they always have the far left counter of service counters left empty for placement of postmarked packages, especially when there is a line.. which is all the time. So don't be a lemming, print out your postage, get some scissors and tape... problem solved. That is why this is the best post office for this, every other place has a tiny dropbox. I'm talking less than 12" wide so even just one boxed vinyl record would not fit through. Not only does this post office always have space on the far left counter they also have a metal "dropbox" slot that is a few feet wide and deep they so you will never get stuck waiting in line, ever. read more

I agree with others in that the phone rings forever before anyone picks up. The location is a bit hidden but it is also not as busy. Tracy is the courier supervisor and I had the worst experience with her. She was somewhat friendly at first but then after I told her I had made a complaint her attitude changed. She didn't want to help me and she didn't want to call me back after she took my number and said she would call me back the same day. To anyone that has a complaint about this post office or their employees you can call usps 800-275-8777 and make a complaint. It may take some time but at least there will be documentation of the problems. read more

I used to love coming here because fhe service was good, not great but good. I always make my shipping labels through Pay Pal and I would always drop it off in the front desk inside. But this time I was kinda in a rush because I had to do errands so I dropped it off in the "Drive through box". I dropped them off at 10 am. Around 1:30 pm I noticed that I forgot to put something else in one of the packages that I did. So I rushed myself to the post office to go ask for The package. I was "helped" (notice I am putting it in quotes) the balled headed African American dude. He told me "once it is inside the box you cannot put anything inside anymore " I don't know if he said that joking or being serious. For whatever reason I was not in the mood for any jokes. He said he was going to go look for it. He took about 20 min to look for it. Me and my bf are pretty sure that he didn't even try at all to look for it. Ugh writing this make me in a more pissed off mood. Now I am going to have to pay for another shipping label just because he was not making an effort on looking for the package. Mine was so easy to find because it had 2 "Handle with Fragile " RED STICKERS TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE PACKAGES ! He may be the one in charge but he has NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL WITH HIS ATTITUDE ! I'll be going to another post office besides this one ! read more

By far one of the rudest places around. I have had two very bad experiences here. Most of the staff is pretty mean except one older latina lady who is good. I went in today at 8:45 am to mail a package. A lady weighed the package and then said it would be less if I used a medium pre paid box of some sort. There were two areas with boxes labeled medium so I grabbed one. When she saw the one I grabbed, she rudely exclaimed "I SAID to grab such and such a box...so it would not have to be taped" I advised I had grabbed a medium one and she said "there are two different types!!" Well yes, Miss then you should have said there were two different types - since both were labeled medium, how is a person to know? She was so unprofessional and mean. She then stepped away not assisting any further. I try not to go into this location but was short on time and it is near my son's school and had a urgent package to send. I received the same service a few years back from a lady who looked similarly (I dont remember to get names as I don't expect to be given such bad service). Short lines if you come before 3, but very poor customer service. Label was a little loose on the box because I couldn't find the proper tape as I have been moving this week. The front desk lady put extra tape on the label, but she complained in a rude tone for having to do so. As I thanked her and left she was still griping about the label and told me I have to invest in better tape. As much as I hate going to the PO, I have to say this is the only location that doesn't make me wanna go 'postal'. If you go in the morning (9ish to 10ish) during the wk, you are sure to only find 2 or 3 others waiting in line. The employees are always very friendly and nice. I feel that they truly look for the 'best' price for customers. I paid $2.50 to ship a pkg to Corona, CA while the unfriendly postal annex employee with an attitude quoted me their best price of $6.60. When I first moved here, I never had an issue with the USPS. At the beginning of December, 2011 my mail carrier was replaced with a new person. Since he started, which has only been three weeks, three packages have come up missing. The tracking information indicates that two packages were never delivered after getting on his truck, and the third says it was delivered to my house, but wasn't. After losing 3 packages to the USPS, I went to the USPS website and requested a hold be put on my mail starting the next day, Monday, so I could pick it up at the post office. On Monday, I was expecting a package I had been tracking. When the Grantville USPS received the package, they sent the package out for delivery regardless of my hold request. I called the post office to ask why they didn't hold my mail after I put in the request, and Victor said he didn't know why my mail wasn't held. I asked Victor to contact my mail carrier, let them know I'd be home, and to put my expected package in my hands and not at my door, and he said he would. I also put a note on my mailbox saying this. Then I stalked my mail box all day waiting for the mail carrier. I was told a lady would have my mail that day, and not the man who kept losing it, but a man was delivering the mail anyway. He stuffed our apartment mailboxes, and turned to leave. I was waiting on my porch, and said "excuse me, I have a package I am expecting today. The tracking information is on the mailbox". He said that Victor had told him to take my mail back to the post office. I said I'm here now and I can take my mail. He handed me my package, but took the rest of my mail back to the post office. I have no idea why. So the following day, Tuesday, I go to the post office to pick up my mail, as Victor has ensured me it will be held from now on. I stood in line for 20+ minutes, but it's the holiday season. People twice my age cut in line. Did California skip teaching people how to wait in line? I finally made it to the counter and was being assisted by a small Asian lady. She took my information, and brought me mail. I headed to my car to look at my mail, once I'm there I saw I have at least 2 other peoples mail also. I took the extra mail back inside, handed it to her and asked if she had got all of my mail. She said "Yes, I looked at it. It's all bundled." Apparently she didn't look very hard if she's handing me mail for other addresses. Close the post office. It's a waste of taxpayer money. read more

Spoke to a Filipino (I too, am Filipino, so don't trip) woman named Marilyn this morning. I HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS, MARILYN! What a rude b***h!! I called to track down a package that was allegedly delivered to my mailbox but in fact, was not. This is the second time that I have not received a package that showed that it was delivered. I live in an apartment complex in the 92124 zip code but this station is apparently our "home" station and would be handling my issue. I called two days ago and spoke with a very nice lady who was very apologetic and understood that although my package showed that it was delivered, was not. She took my information and said that she would call me the next morning (yesterday). I didn't receive that call. I called this morning and spoke to Marilyn. First of all, she sounded very disorganized and put me on hold several times. She would ask for various pieces of information from me and each time I attempted to give it to her, she would say, "hold on". Why do you ask for information if you're not prepared to receive it???? OMG.....annoying! That wasn't the worst part. After being placed on hold several times, she came back and took my address and the Tracking # for my package. She looked on her computer and said, "oh, it says it was delivered. Are you telling me that it wasn't?" First of all, the tone was whack. I AM THE CUSTOMER. I don't seek out having to deal with our US Postal Service if I don't have to. This is not fun for me. I really resented her tone. That....and the fact that she kept telling me, "hold on". She was extremely unprofessional. Finally, she asked for my phone number. I paused for a second in case she needed to get something to write with. I then spoke slowly and gave her my number. She repeated it back to me and it was wrong. I repeated the number to her even slower since she had trouble getting it the first time and she said, "I got that part!" and rushed me along. I told her that she didn't need to be rude and she said that she wasn't. I told her that she was and asked if there was a supervisor I could speak to. She told me that she was the supervisor and that there was no one else who could assist me which is a bunch of B.S. At this point, I have ZERO confidence that my issue is going to be resolved without me having to pursue other avenues of customer relations with USPS. As I said, I hope you are reading this, Marilyn!! I am ashamed for you and the way that you handled (and I use that term loosely) my issue. Don't forget that had it not been for the fact that the Postal Service lost or mis-delivered my package, I would not have had the extreme displeasure of speaking with your rude ass this morning. Rude. Line moves fast but the workers here are the rudest I've encountered at any post office. Lady barked at me and every other person she encountered. The other lady barked at two customers, one of them for something he didn't do, a missing pen. Yes. You heard that right. He got barked at for a pen that went missing. I've lived in Allied Gardens most of my life, and for 24 of those years I've had a home-based business and rely heavily on the Post Office as part of my business...especially package pickup. The last few months have been a nightmare trying to get *consistent* daily package pickup! My old/usual mail carrier was a gem, but when she apparently left or was transferred or whoknowswhat, the ongoing parade of substitute mail carriers in her place have been completely unreliable. I schedule my pickups online, which means the carrier should receive a printout reminder each day to stop and get my packages. Even when they deliver my mail, see me in-person and tell me they will be back to get my packages, they often don't! I call the P.O. hotline to remind them, and STILL no pickups! They do not seem to care at all. With as many incidences of porch pirating of packages occurring in the neighborhood, and never knowing IF, let alone WHEN my packages may be picked up, I then have to spend the day constantly checking my outgoing packages to make sure they are even there. And then when they are not picked up, I have to run them down to the P.O. myself! Really tired of this..... read more

Not sure why so many bad reviews. Provided me with great service. My sales associate was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with me. I needed to send out two international packages, of which I had no idea how to send. There was a lack of instructions within the post office. But, my service associate walked me through all the options and feel I was able to send both packages the best way possible. All in all, I was able to get exactly what I wanted to get accomplished. Had my mail held for my vacation using the web based system. The accumulated mail was NOT delivered the day it was scheduled to resume despite the automated email telling me it would resume. No one answers the phone during business hours when I inquire where my mail is. Rings 20 times then it just hangs up. Way to go Grantville Post Office. Must be nice to not have to give a shit about your customers........and last year my carrier from this office bent my daughter's elementary school photos DESPITE the DO NOT BEND notice all over the envelope. When I did contact the "manager" i was told "we have a lot of new employees". Hogwash! I guess "new employees" cant READ. read more

If you want to be treated like a criminal, come here! The people working the counter have zero customer service skills. Be prepared for a mean looking person to "help" you. Expect to be asked to what is in your package and receive a sarcastic comment. When you use your credit card, be prepared to be questioned if you're the "owner" of the card. Bad for business. I have experienced awful experiences for a few years at this location before writing this review, because I really do not like leaving bad reviews. Absolutely wretched service. Live in an area with a community mailbox. Someone tried to insert his key into my box and broke the key off, rendering my box inaccessible. Left a note pleading with the post man to please deliver my mail to the door along with the key for the parcel locker where I know I have a time sensitive package, or call me on my cell phone when he delivered the mail and I would walk down to meet him in order to retrieve my mail and the package which locked out of my reach. Guess what? He did neither. My mail is still locked away inaccessible to me because of his sheer unwillingness to either walk to my door or call me to come down and meet him. That is beyond poor service that is just uncommon indecency as a human being. He absolutely did not do for me what I'm certain he would've wanted someone today for him.
