The building is pretty but that's about it. Honestly, I don't blame the employees. This location is just plain understaffed. This past weekend a friend needed to get his passport so we stopped by. Get here early. You don't want to sign up after everyone else or you'll be here for hours. Got up later than I wanted to on Saturday and got to this location at 9 o clock. By the time we signed up, we were 18th in line. Yes, 18th my friends. The first person on the wait list hadn't even gone in yet, so the first person who got here straight up took 30 minutes to get all their paper work signed off. 30 minutes late, and with each person taking 20-30 minutes to get their passports figured out, we left and came back 2.5 hours later. Thankfully, there were people on the wait list that just got up and left so after 3 grueling hours, my buddy finally got to go in. Absolute nightmare. Just take the bullet, wake up real early, and go be the first in line. At least then you don't have to waste half a Saturday here.

This is the worst ran business if you call that my business, in the nation. Not one person knows what's going on here. I get a international package sent to me which if you're not home he will not leave at your door but I don't even get a notice that it's here pick it up at the post office. Then the last package I got arrived completely wet like it was submerged in the ocean and I'm trying to file the insurance claim & I get the run around for over 90 days and then they tell me it's been longer than 90 days and they can't help me. if you have any other option of shipping do not use the United States Post office EVER!

Don't send ANYTHING without insurance. I haven't had a time where things haven't been taken from my package. Sad that this is happening.

I stop in a few times a week and notice that they manage to greet EVERY SINGLE PERSON who enters their store. They are all very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. If you are looking for any type of mail services or need to get a mailbox, this is the ONLY place to go to in Santa Barbara. I have tried a few other UPS locations in town and have left with unanswered questions and unfriendly service by employees who don't seem to want to be at their job. Whatever this great family is doing, it's working and it's spot on! It's a bit rare to get such quality service these days and I just want to say thank you so very much to JD, Amar, Manny and anyone else whose name I am forgetting.

Before I could fully explain my question, the employee took the paper from my hands and did not listen to what I was trying to say. Instead, he proceeded to look at all of the tracking numbers, which was not what I was asking about. When he returned, he spoke to me in a condescending manner and implied that I should not have come to that post office because one of the packages belonged to a different ZIP Code. However, I had visited both post offices two days earlier, and an employee at the other location specifically instructed me to come to this office because that package was there. I calmly explained that my frustration was not about the package itself, but that he had not listened to my question before making assumptions. Rather than acknowledging that, he became increasingly rude. The interaction ended with him asking me, "Do you want a tissue to cry about it?" I was shocked that a USPS employee would speak to a customer this way. The employee literally shoved tissue at me and reached over the counter towards me. This is unnecessary and unacceptable. I will be filing a police report.
