Terrible service. Phone is always busy. My package was delivered to the wrong address along with my mail and they told me to bad so sad. No refund for my package and was told sorry we messed up but your assed out. Not the first time this has happened either. Don't ship through usps. Rude, Rude, RUDE. This post office labeled my package as "incorrect address". Amazon confirmed the address was correct AND that the post office had the package. Drove down the Post Office and they "magically" returned my package it to amazon in the 20 min the drive took me. The extremely rude clerk at the Post Office would not help me, so I left, called Amazon who called this Post Office and the person on the phone was even WORSE and hung up on the Amazon employee trying to help me. use UPS! read more

This post office is horrible on the best of days. They have not delivered my mail in nearly 3 weeks, never answer their phones, and do nothing but lie to my face when I'm down there. It is nearly 20 miles each way to the post office so to have them hold my mail is not feasible. This has been going on for over a year, I'm ready to file a police report against my carrier for mail theft because my mail isn't even being returned anymore. The post master refuses to return phone calls and have people with no idea how to do their job call back and lie. And the 800 number isn't much better. If I could give less stars I would have. They supposedly put my packages in the "wrong" mail box. This is the 4th time I have to deal with this issue and I have complained multiple times! I don't understand what I have to do so they fix this issue. I can see based off other reviews that I am not the only one having to deal with this issue. 30 to 40 minute wait on the 800 number and the local number always gets you a busy signal.

Today (October 8, 2015) I am selling my house in Spring Valley Lake (SVL) and buying another across the street. SVL does not have home postal delivery; everyone has to have a PO box at the nearby SVL Post Office. Somehow, through some unwritten and apparently unchangeable policy, the PO box numbers are "tied" to the house addresses, forcing me to change my mailing address, with all the hassle involved with that, rather than the new owner of my house simply being assigned the PO box of the house I am moving into. When I attempted to solve this seemingly very solvable problem at the main Victorville post office today, I was stonewalled by a surly supervisor, who rudely informed me that nothing could be done, even though four years ago it was done for the previous owner of the house I just sold. Absolutely the worst postal branch I have ever dealt with. Phone is busy 24 hours a day. Really? Go ahead, call them.. 2pm or 2am... The phone is busy... Miss-delivered packages (parcel locker key put in wrong mail box-thus giving unauthorized persons access to my parcels) on 3 occasions now. I live about 1 mile away. They can't send a carrier back to fix the problem? (put the key in the correct mail box) They did the second time this happened.. But then again, I didn't deal with a "supervisor" that time... This is happening right now. Parcels in locker, someone else has the key. Will I get my parcels or will someone else have a merrier xmas by stealing my valuables? One thing is for sure.. Even though they are always busy they are always very nice with a smile on their face and are always super helpful and attentive.

I camp in my Trailer 9 months each year. My mail is held for 2 weeks at a time. When the 2 weeks are up and I am to get delivery of my held mail I always get it if my regular carrier "Tom" is on duty. 10 times out of 10 if it's a temp is filling in, I never get it. I was told the delivery mail persons are to check the yellow mail slips for hold every day! Why don't they?. I'm tired of yelling at them to do their job or get better training. On hold forever just to ask a question our mail lady is to lazy to get off her truck and put our mail in our mail box so she has not delivered our mail for two days just because a car is parked in front of the mail box wow my neighbors has not received any mail either very bad service...... read more

God forbid you are trying to get a hold of this place in anyway...cant email them because the service is down. there phone is always busy, and there automated system is awful. then when you finally get through the automated system your gonna be on hold for an hour..not to mention them putting my mail in the wrong mail box or just not giving me my mail then forgetting to tell me or give me a reason why. the US postal service needs an overhaul. read more

i am disabled and have a small po box. i order on line because it is often difficult to get to stores. ernie gave my son the wrong number to call the post office and complain about why we get blue slips in our box and they have stopped putting our mail in the larger boxes with the keys! he said "oh, they were broken into you want all your shipments taken!!!" right. how come the boxes are locked with packages and some have keys??? they don't want you getting packages at po. that is why. besides when i get a key i go that day to get my mail at the inside larger box. i don't get it at night. lies. i will complain to the post master general as my health does not let me wait hours in line!!! this is the worse service i have ever received in getting my packages. what is wrong with these people??? there are a couple of good employees at front, a, r and r....... that is their initials.....the rest move like snails. this is what i pay for. they need to make the postal service private . read more

Lived at same address over 20 yrs. Never had problem before. Was gone emergency hospital 1 and 1/2 week. Received "vacant" note with no mail in box. Waited over 2 hrs in line. Lady admitted they should have sent notice indicating they would hold mail for 2 weeks if box got full (of mostly tons of duplicate junk mail of course). She admitted they just put "vacant" note and sent all my mail back to sender; including tax refund and 2-day Prime Amazon package. Come on, they knew it was not vacant. Who gets a tax refund (not sure if they stole it yet) and 2-day Prime guarantee with Prime stickers/shipping and doesn't live there? Then lady started making excuses like: "I don't know, I'll have to talk to the carrier, why didn't you request a 10-day hold at post office form?" Um, what part of emergency did they not understand and it was less than 2 weeks and they failed to comply with proper procedure and decided to send all my mail back to sender? I'm sure the carrier will lie to save their job though. They could not even guarantee in writing/receipt that I would receive my mail in the future and that they would take care of their error. If this is not rectified asap, I will never trust the post office ever again and notify the inspector general's office. Oh, but good news...my fedex package came right on time. read more

If your looking to kill an hour or two to mail a package this is the place to go. Each transaction takes the postal employees at least five minutes to complete, ten if the customer has multiple packages. When you have two postal workers and twenty people in line it is a very long wait. The employees love to chat and continually stop what they are doing to talk, add to that they move at a snail's pace and you have a very long wait time. The problem is not the high volume of business, it is the employees. The only thing that speeds up the line is people becoming frustrated and walking out, The only time I go there is if I have to pick up a package. Sometimes they will have an additional employee form a line for picking up packages, which is a faster process, but the line might be out the door before that happens. UPS and other locations that offer mail services in the area are much more efficient. read more
