Very fast and friendly service here! They have been around for years and have alrways been great. When I called they said I could come right in. It was very easy to find the location as it is on the end of a larger shopping center. When we got there a gentleman came up to us and helped us immediately. He was very positive he directed us to the waiting area. There were waiting areas both indoor and outdoors! We waited about ten minutes and the work was done. They had our info saved in the system so it went even faster when we paid. The prices are also comparable to other test only smog check locations. Be sure to get their coupon on Yelp if you go in! I think it is for $10 off. It's the same coupon that is also on their website. You don't have to print it out. You can just show it to them on your phone. I don't even live in Chino anymore but this will be the only place I come to for smogs. Albert has repeatedly gone out of his way to make sure that I would not have to repay for my smog after the Honda dealership ruined my emission system computer after a recall update. I came back a total of 7 separate times to make sure my computer was ready for testing to no avail. Luckily Albert was there to help me out by explaining how to get my computer set and extending my re-test deadline far past what was required by him. He has provided exceptional customer service and is always happy to help you out and I will continue to support their business even if it is a little out of my way from where I am now. On a scorching day, the technician and check in person were friendly and patient. Brought in a coupon that I got from joining their website for $15 off, but the check in person said it's a "spring coupon" and not longer valid, but can give me $10 off. OK, but not anywhere on the coupon, nor the email that I got today after I signed up on their website said anything about expiration date or "spring". I don't have much of a choice, so I went ahead and did the smog check with this shop. I told them that they should change their ad, but got a response that it's "well advertised"? Other than that issue, everyone is friendly enough, professional, and the inside has some sitting area and it's air conditioned. Total for my Prius was $39.75 for the smog check with the $10 off and $8.25 for the certificate; $48 total. It's reasonable and competitive. Could have gone to a place with better pricing if I had known ahead of time about the coupon issue, so be aware of the $15 off coupon when you subscribe to their website. read more

Came to US Smog Check today without an appointment and was greeted by a VERY friendly, welcoming, and helpful gentleman (unfortunately did not get his name!). He explained the process thoroughly, was kind, and courteous. He also was transparent about the wait time up front (which was only 30 min!). The waiting room was also great! Fully air conditioned (good for our heat wave), plenty of chairs, and fresh coffee. The gentleman asked if we wanted to watch anything in particular on TV. He was also able to answer my DMV renewal questions as well. Be sure to show them your $10 off coupon from yelp (or wherever else it may be). The area and the actual smog check area is nice and safe as well. I was worried my car wouldn't pass the smog, but when I found out it did, the same gentleman told me the good news! It's nice he was reassuring. I was able to complete the rest of my DMV renewal process right after the appointment because the office sends the certificate immediately. Highly recommended! Shady and dishonest. Go to ACE Smog of Chino instead, 5 min away. I went in for a smog. The first time a guy took 2 minutes to check my CAT with the computer and said it wasn't ready. He kindly recommended me to drive it around and come back. No problem. When I came back, younger woman at the front gets an attitude and tells me I have to pay for the service and they won't check the CAT with the computer beforehand. "That was just a courtesy the first time," she tells me. Manager comes out and tells me "we aren't allowed to do that." So was it a courtesy or are you "not allowed"? It cant be both. It takes two minutes. Clearly they just want to bill you for the whole service when they can tell right away whether or not the car will pass. Same girl was rude and condescending to my wife on a previous encounter but I let it go and figured it was just a one off. I went down the street to ACE Smog of Chino and they took care of me without the hassle or shady tactics. ** UPDATE ** in response to owner: I appreciate your reply but you didn't actually address my concerns. It's not about your "incentive to fail," it's about your refusal to PRE-CHECK with computer (2 min process) PRIOR to testing. It was done once by your employee, and I was told to drive around and come back. When I returned, I was given mixed messages. The rude young woman at the front stated "the first time was just a courtesy, we won't do it again." The younger male manager told me "we aren't allowed to do that." So which is it? One or both of your employees were either being dishonest or misinformed. And the incentive to refuse to pre-test is obvious: if your computer tells you that my CAT is not ready, then I drive away without giving you money. You can tell PRIOR to testing whether or not my car will pass and would be happy to take my money KNOWING my car would fail. Any reasonable person would agree that is shady. It's even more shady given that you had already pre-tested my car, gave me recommendations, told me to come back, and then refused to pre-test on return. Tell my why ACE Smog immediately took 2min to pre-test my car and give me an answer PRIOR to taking my money? It's because they're not shady. You also didn't address your young female emplyees attitude problem, which was an issue on two different encounters for me and my wife. I had to jump start my Prius this morning because I hadn't driven it in several weeks, and the AAA technician told me that I'd need to drive it around for 60-70 miles in order to get the computer back up and running before I can get a smog check. I have been to US Smog Check on several occasions. Each of those visits had two things in common; efficiency and great customer service. Regardless if you believe smog checks are a scam perpetrated by the State of California, it is the law of the land so make the best of it. The longest I have ever had to wait was twenty minutes or so, but also as little as ten minutes. These folks don't mess around. The business is located next to the Kohl's, other stores, and restaurants, so there are places to kill time if necessary. They also routinely have a coupon in some of the community newspapers and circulars. Worst place and service ever , have never had a check engine light on in my car, there grumpy employee tinkers under my hood and now my light is on , instead of not running the car bc they know it will fail they run it anyway to get paid .
