I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes, and not a single employee acknowledged my presence or attempted to assist me. However, they did all see me walk through the door. .Shortly after, two Caucasian women entered the salon and were immediately greeted. A man even came out from the back, walked directly past me without saying a word, and went straight to help them--even though I was standing in front of them and they arrived 10 minutes after I did. Please note, I am a Black American. At that point, I calmly asked him why I was being ignored as if I were invisible. He had no explanation. The way I was treated was deeply disrespectful and felt like racial discrimination. No customer should be made to feel overlooked or less important.
