Such a great AYCE BBQ spot! The wagyu was fresh and really good quality, and there were plenty of options to choose from. We had a great time and definitely left very full! A special shoutout to Joann -- she was so friendly and attentive throughout our meal and made sure we always had everything we needed. She really made the experience even better. Would definitely come back!

Nice local barbecue spot not far from San Jose. Cuts of meat are good, favorites were the intestines and the chuck rolls. I did get stomach poisoning from undercooking the intestines so please make sure to cut them open or small so that they can cook thoroughly. Squid was really bad. Do not order, it tasted like boiled squid with oil. Fat dub if you have AMEX gold, costs $50 less due to the RESY credit. Service was nice!

Wagu AYCE place! My kids have been raving about this place and it did not disappoint. We were first in for early dinner and the place filled up shortly after. Everything we tried was delicious nice fat marble with makes me want to eat more rice. Meat was so flavorful which did not need any sauce. Just sprinkle with little salt and pepper. We tried every cut of wagu they had and some of the cooked item as well. Place is pricey because of the wagu. They really enforced the 90 minute time limit.

We came for a weekday dinner for a large party of about 15. They accommodated us quickly. You order from an iPad and can only order six at a time. However, you can consecutively order over and over again. There is a two hour eating limit. It was about $30 per person for a weekday dinner. Granted, we got the regular menu, but it was enough variety for us. I must say that the meats were premium. Our favorites were their brisket and Toro. Do order their sauce trio and oh, game changer is their "corn tempura" which was really fried corn ribs with a nice salty sweet flavor.

We went right when they opened and it didn't seem like they had a line until noon. To be honest, I don't actually remember much about the meat quality because my focus was on their fried food. I don't usually get fried appetizers at AYCE, but they had squid tentacles so of course I was curious. The way they fried this was perfect. Not too doughy and just the perfect amount of crisp. Before of this, I decided to try their takoyaki. It was one of the best I've had in a while. Idk, it must be the oil they used or something, because it had the perfect thin layer of crisp that I really loved. My husband said the meat option tasted a lot better this time because we chose the highest tier. He came before and tried a lower tier that he wasn't too impressed with.

Solid AYCE Japanese BBQ option at $35/person. Good variety of meats. We tried a bunch of the meats. The sweet soy beef shoulder and beef brisket were my favorites, really flavorful and tender. Some cuts were hit or miss though. A few pieces came out chewy, so it depends a bit on what you order. Pork jowl and intestines are on the menu too if that's your thing. The appetizers were a mixed bag. The cheese corn was good, and there's grilled miso eggplant, seaweed salad, and more available. The eggplant came out a bit over-grilled, and the seaweed salad never showed up even though we ordered it. Ordering is through a QR code at the table. You can place a new order every few minutes. The table also has a good variety of sauces plus salt so you can mix things up as you go. The restaurant was completely full but the staff were quick with the meats and dishes, and they stayed on top of clearing plates too. It gets busy, so I'd recommend a reservation. Solid spot overall, and we might try the Wagyu menu ($55) next time.

Pretty good for an ayce. Did the wagyu option and it was not bad, can't expect too much for the price. The galbi is the best option. Big plus is the dipping sauce option and kimchi. Must get the Takoyaki. It's actually the best in the Bay Area so far.

Got put on the waitlist prior to our arrival via the yelp app which was very helpful. By the time we got there, we didn't wait too much longer to be seated. They have two options for the ayce, either standard or premium. Both come with many options. The standard menu is 35. The premium menu is 55 and includes wagyu and a drink. The also offer alcoholic beverages which are a separate charge. Once you are seated and the waiter activates your table, you have 90 minutes. Your last order must be placed before 75 minutes. You scam the QR code that is on the table and can place your order. You can add 6 meats at a time. Their menu had the meat, a few rice bowls and a few appetizers. They had 3 sauces at each table, fruity, miso and a soy sauce twist one. All were good. You also have the option to order a spicy sauce and a brisket sauce via the app. The staff was very polite. It didnt take too long for the food and drinks ordered to be brought out. The staff was constantly picking up the empty dishes from our table. No complaints with staff, they were great. Overall the restaurant was a good size with seating for 4-6 people at a time. Not sure how well multiple big groups would be seated. A major disadvantage of this place was I didn't feel they had adequate ventilation. The smoke from the grill went right into our faces, no overhead vents to pull the smoke. Other than that I enjoyed our dinner

Really enjoyed this AYCE BBQ! The food was fresh, tasty, and there were lots of options to choose from. Great place to go with friends and enjoy a fun meal. Definitely worth trying! Thanks to our server, Elliot

What a great value and great food! One thing that is really nice is the ventilation of the grills, you won't come out smelling like smoke! The Wagyu menu is $55 and basically you get a limited amount of Wagyu, but it was way more than we could have eaten. The other standard meats on the menu for $35 only would have been perfectly fine if you don't want Wagyu. What I really like is the sides are so good! My personal favorite is the Agadashi tofu, it's a big piece that is just cooked so perfectly silky with the sauce 9/10! The octopus and chicken Karage were quite good as well. My friend said he thinks they make all the non Wagyu so good you forget to just eat the expensive stuff hahaha. Everything was quite good. Sodas are included too.

Stopped in for dinner tonight after a day full of theme parking. Great selection and customer service. The staff was super nice and our orders came out promptly. We selected the classic menu that was $35/pp and well worth it as the selection was quite impressive. I'm a big fan of the eggplant and their beef bone soup. Hubby loved their finger rib meat. Everything was delicious. We will for sure come back next time ! Highly recommend you make reservations or expect to wait.

    Beef slice too good.

Second time in Ushiya .The food are amazing . The server named is Joane so friendly ,take a good care to us .i will introduce to my friend.will come back next time .

Came in for a Saturday night and it honestly didn't take too long to get seated if you join the waitlist on your way over. We did the standard AYCE menu for $35 and it was surprisingly really cheap for all that it offered. The meats are flavorful, but I'd say service was average. Everything is ordered through the QR code and they definitely missed many items here and there. Then the other half of the time you think they missed it so you order it again and two show up. Do love that they offer a lot of appetizers and rice bowls though - a LOT more than your standard AYCE place. Also worth noting that ventilation around the grills work really well so you won't leave smelling like BBQ at all.

I had it in Japan and it changed my understanding of how delicious food could be. I'll always dream about a particular pasta dish I had near Kyoto Station...but I digress. If you've never had Japanese pasta, it's sort of difficult to describe. Think of Italian pasta, but if the sauce were less thick and there were a greater variety of flavors and textures. I think it's an overall cleaner and more varied experience. I prefer it. When done well, it has a certain quality that keeps you addicted. You can keep eating it and savoring every bite without feeling weighed down. I just love it. La Casa Mia does it well. In fact, out of every restaurant I've tried that attempts Japanese pasta, this place comes the closest by far. It might even match it. During my most recent visit, I tried the uni (sea urchin) pasta. Amazing. But the standout menu item, everyone, is the Salmon Shimeji. Oh, I love it so much. So savory. Little chunks of salmon, with roe, dainty little mushrooms, and all kinds of other ingredients perfectly cooked blended. A sauce that warms your soul and makes you want to keep eating. I honestly wish I could describe it better, but ironically, my favorite dish in the entire Bay Area is so good that I can't describe it. You'll just have to try it yourself. If they ever take the Salmon Shimeji off the menu, I will probably literally cry. I need this. When things in life get rough, I go for this dish. I have not found anything in the U.S. that matches it. Oh, and the service was fantastic. The lady who helped us most recently was very attentive, thanked us profusely, and was unfailingly polite. Gosh, I felt so taken care of. Yeah. La Casa Mia. My actual favorite restaurant. Love it.

I also am not usually a fan of tater tots but boy, these ones were REALLY good! The Brussels sprouts leaves were also wonderfully flavored and had a lovely texture. The servers were also proactive checking in to see if we needed anything / if we had ordered, so I appreciated the excellent service as well. My friends all enjoyed their entrees and I loved mine as well (seared scallop with uni toast). They had to modify my entree since I'm allergic to eggs and they were kind ensuring they kept eggs off to the side (my husband wanted them) and leaving out the hollandaise sauce. Even without the sauce the toast was really delicious! I also like the decor - it's modern, clean, chic!
