Friends thought it was a very paltry and unattractive arrangement, which was supposed to come as described, living plants in a basket with a handle, but instead came in an ugly dish. I could have stopped payment, but I felt, as a family business, with supposed integrity, they would acknowledge the errors. When I contacted them about the many differences between what was ordered versus what was delivered, they said basically I had ordered too late in the week to get the arrangement I had ordered. Their site only warns: "If placing an order for same day delivery, please know the order will be filled as close as possible based on flower availability that day." (I did not order same day delivery. ) Giving me no choice in the matter, they had failed to substitute comparable flowers and plants and never could explain the alternate container. Their response was quite dismissive - and I see from the reviews this is a regular event for them. When I came back saying I expected to share my experience online, they gave me a $15 refund on a $108 bill. Just...find a reliable florist. Friends, who called the arrangement a scam, a shabby match, and a sad sack set of flowers, recommended La Vassar Florist and Ballard Blossom. I myself have used Stadium for deliveries and never experienced this. So there are better options.

Many of these items are similar to my own culture and with a Hawaiian twist. I bought some fun items here and this is a great place to buy creative gifts. Ill definitely come back when in Seattle! I did check their site to see if they did their own deliveries bc I know DD takes a high cut, but their same day cutoff was noon (very understandable), so I was glad to have the option. They have a quality section of cards and offer to write in them for you if you ask in the Special Instructions box. Because my sib is an alcohol rep, I chose a whiskey themed card about aging well which inspired me to write a punny note. I also had ordered a potted plant which was pictured in a white ceramic pot, and requested in the instructions that if there were different pots to pick from, to choose a darker toned one because my sib's apt has a "dark academia" vibe to it. They had some well priced little gifts, so I added a cute plant marker pack and a large tube of bath salts. I received a call shortly after placing the order from Sara(h) at the shop. She said unfortunately that the whiskey card was out of stock and let me know of some other options, one of which she described as dark academia adjacent, with ravens on black and gold. We decided it was funny to keep the whiskey themed note and she agreed to add in a little sketch of a whiskey rocks glass. When I saw the photo later, I saw that she'd also used the card envelope to write the original text from the front of the whiskey card; a perfect touch. She also said that there was a potted plant in a metallic pot that sounded perfect and way more fitting than what was pictured. Not only was my sibling very happy to receive the gifts, but was excited to have a plant instead of flowers, and said it looks so good in their home (before I'd said anything). They thought the card story was funny too and said Sara did a great job with it as well as the packaging of everything else. Great experience! Will def be my go-to spot for celebratory, sympathy and all other occasions for my handful of Seattle friends when I can be there in-person.

She was also familiar with the venue which helped a lot! Fast forward to day of, and our florals/candles were PERFECT. Romantic and beautiful. Exactly what we wanted. Jean Louise had set up everything nice and early as soon as we had access to the venue, so that by the time we all arrived with our guests, everything looked flawless and was handled. Alicia and I have been friends for over 30 years, since we were kids in the same class at school. Alicia had messaged me that her Father had passed away, so I wanted to send her flowers and bring her a home-cooked meal. I had hesitated at the space on Maxine's website where it asked me to put in my friend's phone number, because Alicia and I always communicate via Facebook Messenger and I don't actually have Alicia's phone number. So I put in my phone number instead. Maxine called me and I explained the situation to Maxine. Maxine was very professional and helpful when I spoke with her on the phone. In addition to the phone number issue, I was also a bit worried because the flower delivery was initially scheduled for a Monday and no one was home to receive the delivery at the time that it was delivered, and Maxine's website said that Maxine's floral is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. So I was concerned that if the delivery had to be postponed to Thursday or Friday, the flowers might end up being a bit droopy by then. When I explained my concern to Maxine, Maxine reassured me and told me that they can sometimes schedule re-deliveries for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. At Maxine's suggestion, I messaged my friend Alicia on Facebook Messenger and I asked Alicia to call Maxine to arrange a re-delivery time for her flowers. When I delivered the home-cooked meal to Alicia tonight, Alicia gave me a beautiful Thank You card that she had made using a photo of a few of the blooms in Maxine's flower arrangement. Alicia is so creative! Alicia loved the flowers, and she received them on Tuesday, even though Maxine's Floral is closed that day. I felt very taken care of while I was speaking with Maxine. Her customer service was superb, and Alicia loved Maxine's floral arrangement. I have attached photos of Alicia's Thank You card to me, since it included a photo of a few of the blooms in her arrangement and it also included some of her thoughts about the flowers. I'm very happy with both the customer service from Maxine and the floral arrangement. If the customer service was not as good as it was I could have imagined that these issues may have added stress to the situation, but there was no stress added, only stress taken away. I would most definitely order flowers from Maxine again. Thank you, Maxine, for helping me to bring comfort to a wonderful friend in her time of grief.
