Stopped here based on great yelp reviews. Really nice staff but my gel manicure only lasted three days! Gel started peeling off on two nails within two days and three more the day after. Not sure what went wrong. I've been getting gels for years. Two weeks is the shortest amount of time they've lasted. I'm out $30. read more

Best. Pedicure. Ever! The gal took her time and when I asked for an additional massage- she gave me a really, really, really long massage. I've been to several salons in the area and I can now stop looking for I found my home salon. Prices are fair and the quality exceeds my expectations. The lady who did my pedi had no attention to details. Overall the experience was okay. She tried her best and I understand. But there are uneven streaks on my nails. I know I can do a better job than she did. Urgh. She left a gap with no nail polish from the skin edge on 1 of my finger. The nail polish near the skin edge is uneven. I can't even explain how disappointed I am. I won't come back again. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon! Their prices are very reasonable, the place is clean, and the girls are really sweet. I find the experience very relaxing every time I go there... and, my pedicure always lasts a solid two weeks!! Honestly, I never have so much as a single chip out of my toenails when I go back! They have a great color selection, massage chairs, and great magazines. I am almost always able to walk in and get taken care of right away, as well... no appointment necessary! Oh, and when they aren't busy - they give extra-long, awesome foot and hand massages! read more

This is one of my favorite places to get my eye brows waxed. Workers are very nice and efficient. They kindly ask you how you want your eyebrows shaped, and they'll give you suggestions. Although they are busy at times, they don't rush themselves. They make sure they give you the best service! Their mani's and pedi's are good too! I Love this place! I have been going to V&V nails for at least a decade now. I really love the owners, and I appreciate how they recognize and acknowledge everyone that walks through their door. The service at V&V is impeccable, and the prices are terrific. You do get what you pay for though. A regular manicure here only lasts about 1 week. The pedicures are much better and will last about 3 weeks. I am pretty hard on my nails, and I walk a lot, so I probably have a lot to do with how long my polish lasts. Regardless, this nail spa will always be my favorite because the service is wonderful, and my nails always look good when I leave. read more

Love this place! At first, I was a bit skeptical because the shop looks pretty small and old (not dirty). I decided to get a mani (gel)/pedi before my graduation and I was really happy with it. I went with my mom and sister and they were able to accommodate all of us pretty quickly. My mani/pedi came out perfect and I'll definitely be going back sometime soon. It was my first time using V and V nails and since it was only 5 mins away from my house most likely Ill be back! I got a pedi, full set, and eyebrow wax for $65 which i think is kinda pricey for this spot....While I was there they turned away 3 people so maybe it's best to make an appointment before you go in. The nail attendants were nice and quiet. I dont really like to chit chat while Im doing my nails. Also after my bf stepped on my toe they kindly fixed my toe nail for me, no charge. read more

vicky is very nice! everything is very sanitary and the comfortable. the always get my nails done right; exactly the way i like them to be.

V &V nails is pretty close to my house, so whenever I need a quick mani or pedi, I pay this place a visit. I usually go in the middle of the day, so it's not that busy and I can get in and out pretty quickly. The ladies there are nice and very polite. They also don't talk to each other or chat on the phone while they're working on your feet. They have comfy massage chairs with remotes so you can control the pressure and type of massage. I love their leg massages! They honestly spend a good 10 minutes massaging your legs and feet. I've been to places where you're lucky if you even get 2 minutes of decent foot rubbing. They really do spend a lot of time on you, making sure the color is even and scraping away any polish that gets onto your skin. The only complaint I have is they don't have a big color selection. They mostly have OPI and some Essie. I was looking for wicked in Essie last time and they didn't have it. Oh wells, I settled on another color and it was fine, but really wished they had more colors to choose from. But since they're really nice and do a good job, I'll be coming back again to get my nails done! read more

I had a pedicure here today after reading other yelp reviews and i left VERY happy with the service. I have been to 2 other salons nearby and found them to be only so-so. I got my ideal pedicure today, it was quiet, i got to read the whole time and my toes were well taken care of with all the dead skin removed and painted perfectly. I wont need another pedicure for atleast a month. The girls there were very sweet and the price is on the lower end for pedicures and the service deserves another $10 tacked on. I love this place. It's neat and clean and so are their equipment. Lisa and Vicki are the best. They try everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable, and they do a good job with manicure and pedicure. In this economy, it's hard to find a combo of good job at a reasonable price. I was quoted $20 dollars for a fill, and charged $35, I had to ask her to push back the cuticle, my nails are thick and look horrible. Although Vicki was nice the job was less than adequate... My nails look fake, cuticles not addressed. I had an amazing nail fill in Fremont for $20. Also not clean, dirt on the floor, would never recommend. read more

This is a bare-bones, plain little storefront nail salon. . .but, what it lacks in ambiance it makes for in kindness and professionalism. After a trying day of travel into SFO, my daughter and I dragged in late one Saturday afternoon, about an hour before V & V's closing time. The two women were so kind; they gave both of us excellent mani-pedis. And, when I tried to stop them before putting the polish on my nails (because I was watching the clock and knew it was close to quitting time), they emphatically reassured me that they wanted to take good care of us. We didn't leave until about 30 minutes after they officially closed, and they made us feel so special. Thank you V&V! read more

I came in on a Wednesday afternoon, and I was the only client. Space is typical of a cheaper nail salon - no frills. Couple of magazines, TV blaring. Nail color selection is slim pickings - if you have your own, definitely bring them. Two ladies worked on me, and their quality of work is about average. It's been 2 days and so far so good, no chipping yet. Didn't love my experience, but didn't hate it. $30 for a standard mani/pedi. Will probably go again since I didn't have to wait, and it's close to some good places to eat in downtown Millbrae. read more

Been surfing the net trying to find a place to have my nails done going solely on Yelp reviews. So many nail salons have negative feedback. I did see a few here, but the positive ones far outweighed the negative ones. And it seems like the negative reviews were quite old. So I decided to take the plunge and so far am I glad I did! I give V&V 4 stars, because I don't have enough experience with them to give them 5. Also I want to see how long the gel nail polish lasts. I am the occasional get a mani kind of girl, but for Mother's Day I was treated to a mani w/gel. It lasted me 3 weeks!!!! I'm not kidding. And I cleaned house and washed dishes. Vickie did my nails and she couldn't have been nicer. So far my nails look great! I will keep you posted on how long they last. $25 for a mani w/gel. If this lasts me at least 14 days V&V has a permanent client. Their place is pretty basic, clean and comfortable to be in. Quiet. read more
