A friendly neighborhood cafe with genuinely friendly servers that seem to have lots of regulars. The owner (?) came to check on each table, brought more syrup when he saw my container was low, each server came to my table to either bring my food, check on me or take my order. Dropped off my dog next door for grooming at Groomingdales (yes, that's what it's called lol) and stepped in to V Boulevard Cafe! I've seen it in DoorDash numerous times but never been here. So I was excited to try it out! As always, I look over the entire menu, saying everything sounds great but always end up ordering French Toast! They asked if I wanted the short or the full stack. Of course the full stack! When it arrived, I was a little surprised to see the full stack sorta small! Lol Wondered what the short stack looks like. But after finishing my breakfast, what they served was perfect! Just enough to satisfy. And the service; top notch! I ordered the protein lover and the meat was seasoned well. Tasted like a burger though. My friend ordered the wagu burger and said it was ok. Very good for a not anymore-so-rare rainy California morning. Had a good (comforting) Kobe burger and a cup of lentil soup. The only change made was no blue cheese on my burger-I personally do not like blue cheese. Cooked to my exact liking, the burger was topped with yummy caramelized onions. As someone who loves to brunch all day everyday, this place is a God-send! My friend and I came here for brunch and we split the infamous crabmeat omelette and matcha short stack. Their crabmeat omelette is nice and hearty with a generous amount of crabmeat chunks evenly distributed. The egg's texture is a bit more firm than what I would have preferred, but was still easy to slice. Onions and peppers were also sprinkled in and added a great layer of flavor. The matcha pancakes were a bit of a mixed bag. Don't get me wrong, they were delicious, just not in the way intended. Sadly, the matcha did not prevail over the pancake mix, but the overall texture was nice and fluffy. It came with a topping of blueberries and whipped cream and syrup on the side so you could adjust the sweetness to your liking, which is great since the pancake also boasts white chocolate chips inside. It's quite a sweet dish, but if you're a fan of that, like me, this will certainly satisfy your sweet breakfast cravings This place is a nice hole in the wall and it's surely worth a try and a trip back! read more

Came by with my sister on a Monday morning for breakfast/brunch. If you can't find street parking, they have a small lot in the back. We were seated right away and given the menus. The young girl who was helping us seemed a bit flustered. It was probably one of her first few days on the job. Nonetheless, after browsing the menu I decided to order the eggs florentine with a side of country potatoes, and my sister ordered the strawberry nutella pancakes. We did not wait very long for our food which was great. The presentation of both dishes was beautiful. Already off to a good start. I took one bite of my meal and was already in love. EVERY aspect of the dish was flavorful and delicious, which is sometimes rare for an eggs florentine dish. Either the spinach is bland or the English muffin is dry, but it was not the case for this. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the Hollandaise sauce was rich and delicious. Even the potatoes were well seasoned and were speckled with beautiful bits of freshly chopped onions and bell peppers. The only downside was the service. Nobody came to check up on us after we received our meal, and when it came time to receive the check nobody asked if we wanted it. We ended up just going to the register ourselves and paying. Either way I'm glad to have found a seriously yummy breakfast spot. I'm sad I don't live in the area or else I would be a regular here! I was vacationing in LA for a few days and came here TWICE. Great food and lattes for very reasonable prices. I had the nutella pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. Came with plenty of fresh strawberries. The eggs were made perfectly creamy and not overdone. My friend had the matcha pancakes and you could definitely taste the matcha. I got the white chocolate mocha both times I was here because it was so good! Hard to find a good brunch place that does both the food and drinks well. V Boulevard is the place! With cute latte art to boot.
