I can't believe this isn't 5 stars across the board. I've been a loyal customer for almost a year and a half (weekly) and I haven't been more pleased with any service, ever. The maids are on time, friendly and efficient. Every time they leave a feeling of complete relaxation comes over me when I get to see my home. My wood floors are spotless, my furniture is vacuumed and dusted, my bathrooms are shining, etc. I seriously couldn't imagine them doing ANYTHING better. At least every visit the maids do something that was completely unexpected that I didn't "pay for" e.g. empty my dishwasher, fold my laundry, etc. I cannot imagine ever using a different maid service! read more

We have been customers of V Maids for a few years now, and we've always been happy with their work. They are efficient, quick to respond, and flexible with scheduling. One time they accidentally broke a bottle of wine, and they quickly contacted me and refunded me the cost. They may clean well, but they are "redlining" when accepting calls. They denied to me a move-out cleaning in Division/Maplewood (60622) because "we do not serve that area". I am moving back to Europe with my family and called VMaids with 5 days advance to schedule a move-out cleaning. All was smooth until I mentioned my address. At that point I got the appalling answer. I protested and the guy promised to call me back after consulting the manager. Once I got the call back the guy said that it wasn't because of the area, but because of shortage of people --they knew redlining may be a big deal and backed up. As far as I am concerned, I won't ever give my money to people with such miserable style. if you do, make sure to get their OK before mentioning your address. read more

This is my first time writing a review on Yelp but I felt like VMaids deserves some credit for their hard work. I was nervous about using a cleaning service because I had never done so before, and because I questioned the quality of work despite other Yelp reviews. My floors have never been cleaned properly (just swept and swiffered) and no one likes to clean showers so I decided to give it a try. They were great, courteous, and thorough- I'm talking baseboards and inside the microwave. I just went for the 3 hours of labor minimum for $60 and it was worth it. Veronika always corresponded via email in a timely manner. I love that. They originally didn't have any openings until 11/12 so I booked that an requested an earlier date if any last minute cancellations came up. I've been using VMaids for a little over a year, about once a month. The ladies have arrived right on time, every time. They do a great job...I love coming home and everything is spotless and smells great! I've never had any of the issues some other reviews have noted. I trust these folks with a key to my house and have never once worried about my not being there at the same time. Also, they have different "levels" of cleaning options. They offer deep cleaning for an extra $3 an hour...their website lists what the difference is between regular/deep cleaning, so if there's something specific you want done, that isn't part of regular up-keep, it may be worth the extra fee. I will continue to use VMaids and highly recommend them! You can even schedule your cleaning online...love it! read more

The cleaning crew showed up right on time, was very professional, and did exactly what they promised. They also finished within the estimated timeline and charged exactly what they estimated. Prices were VERY reasonable and they brought their own supplies, which was great since it was a move-out cleaning and I had already packed everything. I would definitley use V Maids again. read more

I got busy at work and my apartment became sadly neglected; after a while the only clean thing in the place was the cat. I hired V Maids for a deep clean of the place and they really delivered! The two ladies were early, immediately got what I wanted them to do and busted their butts for three hours. I worked along side them and had to touch up a couple of things after they left, but there is only so much a person can do in a certain amount of time! They worked very hard, were very professional, and the whole service was pretty inexpensive. Hopefully I'll keep my place clean from now on and never need them again...but you never know. read more

This should be 4-3/4 stars. Nadine and Veronica were fabulous! They started cleaning as soon as they had put their things down. This was an empty apartment with lots of trash and dirt left by previous tenants. When I came down to check the work, I wanted to stay and inhale the cleanliness. They took care of a problem area outside the apartment which was accommodating of them. They did miss the inside of the freezer, but were quick to correct that. The work took longer than expected because V had estimated the square footage on two bedrooms, 1.5 baths when in reality it has more rooms (family room, heated sun porch), so it took 3-1/2 hours instead of 2-1/2 hours. The website offers $10 discount on first service, and when I calculated the bill, I saw that the discount was not included, so I have a call in to V for credit for a next cleaning and I expect that I will get it. I have held off using cleaning services for a long time because of a previous bad experience, but I would highly recommend VMaids and will definitely be calling them again, for my own apartment. read more

We hired V-maids to clean our new home and I came home from work a few times and couldn't tell if the house had been cleaned or not. It was the last straw. I contacted the owner and he kindly offered to come and do it over again. But after a string of less-than-great experiences I declined his offer and told him I wasn't going to use his services anymore. I ended up finding a private person and she does a fantastic job at a fraction of the cost. I tip her heavily for her hard work and it's still less than what I paid at V-maids. I don't think it's a bad business, but they need to get some things ironed because service is definitely inconsistent and lacking. read more

I used V Maids for a couple of years, then I took a year or so off (you know how that is). Anyway. I started using them again a couple of months ago, and they are just great. They come at the same time every other week, and I correspond easily by email with the owner. I now also pay by an e-check, so I don't need cash each week. They have always done a good job. Today I wasn't in the apartment at all, and they did a great job. I definitely recommend these people. I tried a couple of different ones, some way more expensive just to see the difference, but I have decided that V Maids is the best I've had. read more

We have been using V Maids for a few years now and have always been happy with their work for regular housekeeping. Vaclav goes above and beyond to try to fit your schedule and now that we have a lock box it's easier than ever to schedule a cleaning since we don't actually have to be there. I trust them to be in our home and get the job done! We have quite a large space, but I never feel like anything was overlooked. I am a big fan of V Maids. Ever since returning from maternity leave in 2009 and deciding that something had to give and we needed help in the house cleaning department, we have had them coming every 3 weeks to do a top-to-bottom cleaning of our place. What a joy! Both my husband and I look forward to "cleaning day", and we are rarely disappointed. The ladies do a great job, doing everything from scrubbing the tub to changing our sheets and hand washing the floors. For the price (typically our 3 br 2 bath, 1500 sq. foot house takes 2-2 1/2 hours and costs from $72-$90 a visit), the quality of the cleaning can't be beat! My only complaint would have to be the occasional change up of cleaning teams, but this was due to a few people being out on "leaves" or for other random reasons, but the replacements have done a fine job. I've finally found my new regular "crew", and have scheduled them to come back through the end of the year. Highly recommend using V Maids!! read more

I realize service may vary between various maids, so I hope they don't change. We asked V Maids for a major deep cleaning of a house that needs renovation and what we got was a light dusting in a couple areas. What was left behind, even after coming back to reclean the missed areas were sticky filthy cabinets with dead bugs and rat poop in them, sticky doors, cobwebs on the walls. They don't kept his their promise and did not finished correcting work that wasnt right. I could go on but you get the idea. read more

V Maids did a great job...at first. The first few visits were great. My place was clean and sparkling. After I committed to the service twice a month, the quality went down. WAY down. I ended up cleaning for an hour after they left. I hate to break away from a cleaning service, but I had to. Plus, they said that they cleaned my place for 2 hours, but they actually cleaned for 45 minutes tops when I wasn't home. I do not trust them and they don't do a good job. Do not bother hiring this company. You will be looking for a new service in a few months. read more

Upon the first visit, the cleaning was fairly good. Not as good as I would do it but acceptable for the price. Unfortunately, every time they came, the cleaning was a little more slip shod and hurried. They frequently were finished before the 1.5 hours paid for, never swept under the bed unless specifically requested, hardly dusted anything and only seemed to Swiffer the floors with the occasional spot wipe with Windex. Not really what I was hoping for. However, for $60 or whatever the cost was, it was worth it if I didn't have to do the cleaning. Then, just before Christmas we had 2 new ladies show up (bear in mind, one of us was always home when they came to clean). The cleaning was not very good and my husband thought it strange that they were closing doors while cleaning different rooms but didn't worry about it too much. Then 3 days later we were robbed. I can't prove any association and V Maids does claim to do background checks on all of their employees but that doesn't mean an employee didn't close the door to a room they were cleaning, take a few pictures with the phone and send them to a boyfriend, husband, associate, etc. I can't blame V Maids for the robbery but find it much too convenient in the timing to not relate the two. We live in a very safe area and have never had problems with break ins anywhere near us during the 4 years we have been here. This was a very professional break in, not some random kid seeing an opportunity, using pry bars, closing blinds so as not to be observed and highly targeted in what they wanted. Just something to consider, inviting service people into your home, be they maids, plumbers, painters or any other servicemen can also invite the scrutiny of a thief. read more

Unfortunately during my move out clean, they really disappointed me. I hadn't seen the place before I did a walk through with my landlord and the tops of everything were covered in dust and the oven hadn't been touched. It wasn't up to my standards of clean at all and I got docked $$ by my landlord. I immediately called the owner who appologized and said she would send over another crew the next day. I called on Tuesday to see if they had availability the following day and they quickly fit me into the schedule. It turns out they already service others in my building! The man I spoke to (I apologize, I didn't catch his name) was very friendly and professional. He was very clear about pricing, payments options, what would be cleaned, and the time frame (1 hour window for arrival, 1.5-2 hours for the cleaning). The ladies arrived on time and did a wonderful job. I showed them specific areas I wanted cleaned and they understood clearly. We have been using V Maids for almost a year and I highly recommend them. We have a regularly scheduled cleaning and it works seamlessly with our schedule. I am home when the ladies arrive, they are very kind and professional - we exchange a few pleasantries, and then they get right to work. They are very hard workers who pay close attention to detail - I haven't had one complaint that something wasn't properly/thoroughly cleaned in the entire time we have been using this service.
