I had messaged them through yelp about an estimate and received a reply within the hour. The email told me to text a number with my name and address and was told they had a techician available the following Tuesday if I wanted the appointment. I texted all the required information and said I was interested in that day, and received no reply back confirming anything. I decided to call a few days later to set up the appointment for the estimate. The person I spoke to apologized and said they received my text but didn't have any confirmation from the company about which techician was available that particular day. He said he would text me all the information once he found out who they can send. At the end of the day he texted me that Angel was available and sent me his phone number and said he would try to be there between 10am to 12pm and would call to let me know when he was on his way. When Tuesday finally rolled around, we waited but they never showed up. Between 12pm and 2pm we called the techician 3 times and left messages to see if he was still coming, but was never called back. I had huge leak coming from my bathtub in which parts of the wall had to be removed for the problem to be assessed. It turned out that the leak was coming from the p-trap/tub drain and the entire part had to be replaced. After calling the first plumber and getting their answering service, I called V-max. The person who answered my called was very accommodating and she let me know up front that Ernesto was booked for the day, but he would call to see if he could do the work. Since, I had more than one plumbing issue, we were able to schedule for another day. He called before he arrived and was on time too! I first spoke to a very kind woman on the phone who took all my information, the problem I was having with my plumbing and she assured me she would find one of her guys that was nearby to call me back so they could arrange a time they could come by. Then another friendly man named Ernesto called back within 15 minutes and asked me if it was okay for either he or one the other of the guys to be here from 12-2:30. At exactly 2:00 Gabriel arrived and took a look at my problem and gave me an estimated price of $95 for a shower and laboratory stoppage. (I knew what it would cost because an uncle of mine who's a plumber told me not to pay over $85 who lives in San Diego) Then Gabriel asked if I had heard about our yelp discount which would give me 10% off if I left a review. So here I am. Gabriel did his job fast and thorough and was kind enough to notice I was under the weather he even offered to clean up the mess the stoppage had left behind. These people have no sense of professionalism or urgency to do their job or even advise their clients that the technician will not be coming at the time that was initially given. We thought our plumbing issue was finally going to get fixed but come to find out theses people call 15 minutes before the window they gave me was over. I'm in a condo complex and to fix any plumbing issue we have to shut off the main water for the entire complex and advise neighbors with at least 48 hours. When I finally do call to check on the technician that was supposed to come out, they tell me that the one that I was assigned to got busy at another job and they are sending someone else. Why didn't you call earlier to advise, or even confirm that they appointment was still set? Again, if we hadn't called to check in, they wouldn't have had the decency to call and let us know what was going on. And on top of that, when speaking to the lady on the phone, she giggled as she mentioned that the technician got busy, as if it was something funny! Wtf!? read more

Another lifesaver by V Max and specifically Gabriel. Our sewer line backed up and came out of the shower. Yuck!! Gabriel came over the same night that we called and tried to snake it. Unfortunately it was a bigger job than that. Gabriel came again the next day and was here all day until 11pm on a Friday night digging a 4-5 foot hole outside to get to the pipe to try to flush it. We were backed up 2 days but Gabriel was able to get it flowing again and flush it all out. Ernesto came over to help assess the problem and explain issues to my husband. Our house didn't have a clean out pipe so he was able to install a clean out for any future issues. He took his time doing it right, explaining every move he made so that we could decide, and leaving things looking as clean as possible. Gabriel was not pushy but fully explained our options to fix the problem now and give us options if we wanted to fix future problems. I felt like he actually cared about our situation and was not just trying to have us pay to do unnecessary work. He was very patient with the work and didn't try to do anything the lazy, quick way, and kept pushing through when even we were frustrated with our pipes as he was finding the clog. I called V-Max after finding out that no one else seemed able to come out that day, and the girl in the office checked to see if she could help get someone out that same day.
