Lovely and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Polite owners and extremely cute decorations. I've been here on numerous occasions and have seen a change in management. The pho was amazing. You get a side plate of herbs, lime, bean sprouts, and hot peppers as well as a few bottles of sauces to add in to taste. The bowl is as wide as my chest, with MASSIVE portions. Broth is very flavorful, and very filling after a long and cold day. However, I do think that the portions are too big. Do not eat lunch before coming here, and drink the beverages they give you sparingly to free up much needed room. I've left on numerous occasions with a too-full stomach and a feeling of needing to 'let off some pressure'. Calamari was delicious, even to someone like me who hates seafood. Shrimp rolls were massive, egg rolls were crispy and came with delicious sauce. If I were to recommend one non-pho item, it would be the "Vietnam Special Plate" under the rice section of the menu. It comes with an array of vegetables, a fried egg, a flavorful meat cake, two porkchops, and a small bowl of rice turned upside down. Portions are big, but not so big as to where you can't finish without turning green. I dislike porkchops due to the way they're prepared but today I am proud to tell you that the Vietnam Special Plate is by far **the** best porkchop dish I've ever eaten. It's covered in a delicious sauce, grilled to crispy perfection, and set next to a bed of various sides. I miss the old boba smoothies, but the modern drinks are equally pleasant to have. If you want delicious Vietnamese food, then do yourself a favor and do not come here... I usually try to give credit to hole in the wall spots, but their food did not make up for their uncleanliness. Tables are sticky, TVs are blasting, and the self service aspect is utter nonsense. I was severely disgusted by the cashier who had handled the transaction,and put the order in into the POS. Next thing you know, I look over and he goes into the kitchen, picks up our spring rolls with HIS BARE Hands right after using the computer! I have a strong stomach, so I ate the food anyways to try to make up for such an unsightly scene. I was disappointed to say the least. The side plate that comes with the Pho was gross. The beansprouts looked and tasted like they wer in the Vietnam War... I am guessing it is to preserve produce or something. Hopefully they will fall into their groove and not make so many mistakes . I wasted a lot of time trying to straighten this out . We were excited to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! There are a few Asian food restaurants around but none specializing in pho. We were greeted right when we walked in, the place is well lit and clean. The menu is small and simple, which is perfect! I got the #3 small beef pho, two spring rolls and a pork roll. Our food was served promptly. They briefly went over how to eat the veggies and utilize the sauces that came along with them. Everything was really good and tasted fresh. Had a great meal. The appetizers alone were stars. We tried the appetizer combo and I had the beef pad thai. Everything was extremely fresh. The sauces were excellent, and not filled with sugar and salt. The spring rolls make a meal in themselves. They use fresh herbs and chili which made everything taste even better. Food was so good! Everything was fresh and put together well. The service was very good. Everyone was so nice that it was almost surprising. Prices are reasonable. Simple menu, which is good. I had the beef noodle Pho and it was really good. Came with plenty off veggies to add. We liked all the dipping sauces too. We have been back several times and I have taken the kids a few times and still awesome. The kids like the food. The owner has always come out and asked how the food was and chatted up the kids. I placed a delivery order with them through Grubhub. The food was great and spot on. I ordered beef and extra tendons. With my order there was a sauce that was yummy, a little kick but wonderful flavoring. The pho broth was like refreshing and delicious. The tendons were shaved thin slices. I appreciate good Vietnamese food, so I was excited to try this highly rated restaurant with visiting family members. We ordered fresh spring rolls with shrimp and found them to be missing aromatic depth. However, the peanut sauce made up for the average spring rolls. I order the rare beef Pho. The amount and texture of the meat were good. However, the broth lacked depth and seasoning. One member of the party ordered the stir-fried noodles with chicken. He said it was OK, but I noted that he ate about half of the serving. Another family member ordered the yellow chicken curry. She had a strange facial expression after the first bite and ate just a few pieces. I thought both reactions were interesting, so I tasted both dishes. Unfortunately, the stir fry was average at best, with little flavor, and was very bland. The curry was awful. It has some strange spice added that made it almost unbearable. Since they did not eat their servings, I asked for a takeout container. The next day I tried both dishes assuming they may improve overnight. It pains me to leave less than a stellar review for a small family own business like this one, but I have a bone to pick after tasting their version of "Vietnamese" ice coffee. They committed a cardinal sin for not serving the authentic version: dripped chicory coffee ( Cafe du Monde brand to be specific) over condensed milk (any brand will do) then pour that over ice. I am shocked because the owners are Viet! They should not be taking short cuts on this one. You can served instant hazelzut flavored ice coffee but don't call it Cafe sua da. What a great disservice to Vietnamese food. We also ordered the rice plate with pork chop. The only reason why I would ordered this in a restaurant is because I want grilled meat but don't want to fire up the grill. The pork chop was not grilled, tasted like pan fried (another short cut?) and was dried. The omelette tasted old and stale. Nothing was good on this plate, not even my beloved steamed rice. We tried the pho special and that was decent, so not all was bad. But seriously, do us all a favor and fix the "Vietnamese" ice coffee or call it something else, or just take it off the menu. read more

I find myself committing a search for the best pho in the Valley. So am always excited to try a new place; always want it to be "the one." Unfortunately, VNam Pho is not it. The pho: Tasty, gingery broth. But it's almost extremely tasty. That, combined with a couple cold sweats makes me wonder if MSG is involved. Lots of good quality beef. But a major pho faux pax: a skimpy plate of garnishes. The restaurant: The small space of eight tables, blasted by three LOUD teevees. A stupid daytime talk show. My standard for comparison for Pho is Miss Saigon in Tucson (Campbell/Speedway) It was ok but consomé/broth lacked depth of flavor.
