I've seen this plenty of time while shopping at Trader Joe's but never tried anything. Well today I finally stopped by for some dinner with a friend; of course after a quick trip to Trader Joe's. Let's just say I'm glad I did and will be back. Due to covid and being a week day the inside wasn't crowded at all which was a plus in my book. But they did get a nice dinner crowd for take out orders. My friend ordered some wings a pepperoni pizza, I had a calzone with chicken, meatballs, mushrooms and spinach. Clearly our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we should've split a pie. The food was delicious and cooked nicely. She said the wings were spicy and I could by looking at it. This place used to be good.. we supported it regularly during COVID and come in every other month or so. Unfortunately, consistency is not in the vocabulary here. We've had awesome Pesto Gouda Cavatappi one time, and then ordered it again and there was next to no cheese topping. They said it was the end of the night..well then they shouldn't have sold it! Tonight we ordered Cryin' Hawaiian wings because they were so awesome before. Tonight the wings were fatty, skin was barely cooked instead of crispy and there was very little sauce. The last time we scraped everything off the waxed paper it was so good. This time was the opposite and it was difficult to finish all the wings. Additionally, no one told us there was a last call at 8:30 when we didn't even have our pizza yet. We asked for one additional beer midway through the pizza and we're told they'd already put the plugs in the taps and too bad! Really wanted to like this place and have tried to support it. Have even mentioned how good this was in other pizza restaurant reviews, but alas, it will be a long while before we return. read more

Had this pizza once before and couldn't wait to go back. We went and got the cryin' Hawaiian wings which were DELICIOUS but more spicy than not. I love spicy so it didn't bother me. We got the carnivore pizza which had so much meat and was so delicious. The dough is really what makes this pizza for me. It's chewy, had a crunch, and really is the best part. We were out running errands during the day and decided to stop in. We were the first one in so we had a chance to meet and chat quite a bit with the GM/owner. We started with wings and ordered the Calabrian /Cryin' Hawaiian. The marination on them were prefect with a great crisp and spice which we initially wanted. I have to say as we kept eating them the chili paste really stood out with great spice! Now the fun part, for pizza we ordered the classic Margherita...I added sausage. We also ordered the Pizza Delle Donne. Both pizzas had a great crust and super flavorful. There was something about that tomato sauce and basil I just loved. The other pizza was unique with pesto and chicken and really had a great herb solid taste. I really enjoyed our meal, our chat with the GM and more importantly hearing the story of yummy Napoleon pizza...it's very different where it has less ingredients but better quality in my opinion and spread differently. Pizza had a lot of good quality toppings, but it arrived burnt they said they would remake it, but we were hungry and since they didn't mention how long it would take we didn't want to wait. They later told us it would only take a few minutes but by then we were already eating it, and honestly if they could remake it they should have instead of leaving up to us. I take back what I said in my review of Blaze Pizza - this is now my go-to place for pizza. This is by far the best pizza I've had outside of Pisa, Italy. All the ingredients (except some of the meat) is flown in from Naples! So incredible! The pizza is Neapolitan style - thin, soft crust, not too much cheese, charred crust - and it is just perfection. The menu is vast, but the pizzas come in just two size: 10" and 13". The lunch special is a great deal. The service is very good and friendly and the owner is often at the restaurant. The patio has a lot of seating, which is important to us during the pandemic. I'm pretty sure I'll be eating here once a week for the foreseeable future. Stroller Status: There is tons of space inside and out to maneuver and park your stroller. We were able to easily get two high chairs. My girls are too young to eat pizza, so we didn't get a kids meal, but they did enjoy eating the veggies in the salad and some of the mac and cheese. read more

This location is not near us but we had a discount offer so went there for dinner on a Monday night. It was hard to find since it's on the far side of a parking lot and their sign was not fully lit. The hostess asked us if we'd like to sit in the main family-friendly dining room or eat in the bar and we chose the bar. We were wondering if we made the right choice at first because the bar was very dark and it took a long time for the bartender to return. The bar just had a disjointed vibe (dark but with Christmas ligths, upbeat music but a somber black and white movie projected onto a wall). We ordered a classic margherita pizza and a salad. We were surprised that the salad came to us in a plastic clamshell and not a bowl. The pizza was decent and we got a box to take the rest home. They were offering some special holiday cocktails but we didn't get any. The bartender forgot my wife's order of mineral water so we had to remind him. Went here for the first time right after dine-in was reopened. We met the owner Anthony and he was so accommodating. You could tell how much of his heart was in the restaurant. Over the Coronavirus shut down he redid the patio and had made a ton of preparations to keep staff and patrons safe. Also a super nice guy! He made a great Chianti recommendation. The food was awesome! We dined on the patio on a sunny spring day. There wasn't a ton of road noise and the umbrellas kept us shaded and comfortable. Spot on pizza joint. Wood fired. San Marino tomato sauce and real mozzarella cheese. I got the pepperoni and onion pizza husband got a specialty pizza with pesto spinach chicken and riggott. We sat outside great patio setup. Place is sparkling clean and all employees I saw had mask on,which is nice to see . We will definitely be back for more. Will try the wings next time !! Ordered take out trying to support a local business during covid closures. Food and service were mediocre. Upon arrival we gave our name and the food was brought out. The server didn't bring the drinks so we reminded her we ordered and paid for drinks. She said she would go get them. No apology, nothing. Well, about twenty minutes later she came out with the drinks. The whole time we were waiting for the drinks we could see her just walking around and talking to co-workers. Now the food... nothing to distinguish the pizza from any other local chain. Sauce was bland, crust was way to thick to even be considered NY style pizza, and it was very greasy. We ordered two pizzas and they both were okay, nothing great. And the drinks were flat. For the high prices we'll stick with Hungry Howies or Pizza Hut which taste about the same. read more

Wow! I've seen this place numerous times and thought to myself " another pizza joint". I was out and about this weekend and decided to give it a try. I ordered a plain cheese pizza and received a free topping as a lunch special, so I added spinach. Pizza was ready in 14 minutes, and service was great. I'm excited that this place didn't sit empty and V pizza arrived. First off you need to know that this place is order at the counter and not table service. They also seem to have a full service bar. At the pizza counter you can only order about 4 most popular types of beer if you want anything else you must order from the bar. The food : The calzone was amazing and probably the best one I have ever had. Very impressed by it. The wings didn't quite hit the spot - we tried both varieties. I think many would like them though. We expected a little bit more char flavor or more crisp texture. They were very bland and only flavor was from sauce. The meatball appetizer was average. Tasted similar to those from the grocery store frozen section and smothered with sauce. The service: Manager and owner have great energy and appreciate their desire to make it a great place. Again this is not a full service restaurant. The major reason for 3 star rating is the for 1 - ease of ordering. It's not easy to order everything at one spot. If you want an adult beverage you'll likely have to order your food and then go buy your beverage at the bar. 2 - the prices are a little steep. It's a counter service. The only option for kids is an add on $10 pizza. However it could likely be split by 2 children. 3 - not super easy for families with young children due to the menu and drink situation. The drink area does not have a counter for you to set drinks down as you fill them making it very difficult to add kids and get drinks fixed for kiddos. It also is very high so even elementary kids may be unable to reach to fix their own drinks. We won't be regulars but we'd go back. Calzone was so yummy. read more

You order from front and then they bring the pizza to your table. We got the margherita (v signature), vegetarian and a custom made pizza. We also got the V signature wings. The crust of the pizza was unique and had a fire oven taste (although some parts burnt). The other ingredients did not stand out to me. I thought their tomato sauce and cheese lacked taste and felt similar to chain pizza's. The pizza size is all standard 13" and felt pricy. The service is good but Alex was EXCELLENT! I thought he was the owner the way he was checking in on every single table making sure everyone had what they needed. When I found out he wasn't the owner, I was shocked. He really went above and beyond and deserves praise for his service. If you're eating here and can handle some spice the Cryin' Hawaiian wings are a MUST. Best wings we have had in the area. And the Paolo pizza is delicious. Place was so loud the person ringing me could not hear me and had the worst attitude. Took pizza home. The pizza was half cooked. My review is 100% based off customer service. Fill disclosure - I did not get to try any food. I walked into the restaurant at 11:20 AM to be greeted by a gentleman who said I can sit anywhere where I wanted. He immediately gave me a menu and a plate with utensils. He walked away and that was the last time I saw him. I sat there for over 17 minutes waiting to place an order. If I was given a water or asked for a drink I would have maybe pushed through waiting longer. I walked out and didn't look back. I know it's hard to keep staff in this environment. V pizza was sadly quite disappointing. I have never had brick oven pizza before. And instead of a crispy, soft, and cheesy pizza, I received a soggy, watery, and flavorless pizza. The pizza was very skimpy on toppings, and there where pools of water making it soggy. I can tell they try and eliminate food waste but they are also being very stingy with their portions. I payed 6.50 for a very sub-par Cesar salad with no Croutons and a little shredded cheese. Lots of wilted lettuce. Maybe I went on a bad night because others say this is this is some of the best pizza in Raleigh. read more
